[14] Where Your Core Rests (Kongō x Reader)

First Last
We are at the end!
I'm thankful for all the support I was shown, though, and hope that I brought you joy with that little story of mine!
Maybe we'll see each other again on my next story <3
Where Our Hearts Lie
Kongō sat beside her human, Arizona and the Old Man opposite of them, steaming cups of tea in front of each member and utter confusion in the very air.
Arizona looked like she was the one having the hardest time coming to terms with… whatever the shit this was.
Old Man stood up to get some snacks from Arizona's kitchen, petting her head when passing her Mental Model and making it blush.
Sniffing a chance, the other human addressed Arizona: "What?"
"I don't know I don't know I don't know…"
"Don't get yourself worked up!", they backpedalled immediately in fear of the next fight starting, "It's fine! I'm happy we were able to resolve this peacefully in the end!"
Ringgold, having suffered quite a good beating from Nagara (who clicked cheekily), gave a depressed string of clicks – she was ignored.
"I still got one question, though?"
Arizona nodded with a heavy sigh. Whatever, it didn't matter anymore anyway.
"Why was Nagara's Core in the attic?"
"I forgot that I had her."
"I'm sorry, you what?", Kongō interrupted.
She bristled: "I forgot that I had her", then she blushed, "I found her again when reorganising some documents."
And then panicked but she was not going to reveal this.
"Because I was already living together with the Old Man by then, I couldn't exactly bring her back and had to get her out of the house – so I spread rumours and hoped for thieves to find her and take her away."
That seemed like the only part of her plan that actually worked.
Kongō took a sip from her tea: "Why did you attack us?"
If she wanted to get Nagara out of the house so that she wouldn't attract trouble for the Old Man, then it was illogical to engage them in battle.
"They brought you back, then you dared to come back a second time."
Simply put, it brought all the pain and rage back to the surface and made it finally erupt.
The blonde looked at her silently for some time, then returned to her tea when steps sounded from behind.
Old Man, bouncing over like a damn child, placed little sandwiches before the girls and then continued to sit down again, slapping his hands on his thighs: "So, since when are you two married?"
"MPF-!", the human choked on their tea, giving Luigi the chance to steal one of the snacks while Kongō suddenly stopped moving altogether in an effort to not end up like her companion.
Since the other was still busy dying, Kongō unfroze herself, sat down her cup elegantly and said: "We're not married."
He wasn't believing her, instead giving a knowing smile and an "of course".
What's with that smile!?, the girls thought.
Kongō looked at her not-spouse: "Are you alive?"
"I appreciate", a half-dead inhale of fresh air, "how none of you even attempted to stop the cat."
"Were we supposed to?", that damn smirk again!
They gave her a look, deciding that she wasn't worth a response.
Luigi at least had the conscience to look apologetic even if he definitely wasn't.
"How did you two meet my Ari?", Old Man dared to open his happy mouth again while tugging Arizona into his side, making her blush and give a startled sound.
"The fleet", Kongō half-lied.
"Yes!", Arizona jumped into action, "we met through the fleet. Long ago. It was time to visit, right? Haha…"
Please never lie again, that was such a bad performance that the human's very shitty lying ability suddenly seemed capable of winning an Oscar.
"But! They have to go now!"
He looked legitimately sad: "Oh, why?"
Arizona's eyes flitted over to Kongō as if saying "this is your fault, get us out of it!".
It wasn’t her fault, but the whole experience was so strange that leaping over her shadow was a lower effort than continuing to withstand this conversation: "My sisters await me."
"Lui's got an appointment for his yearly check-up as well", the human supported, "it would be sad for the food to go to waste though…"
Arizona and Kongō almost had the 3rd most shocking moments of their lives.
One thought this:
It's made from nanomaterial! Don't you know how old people are!? He'll never let you leave!
The other this:
Don't say that! I thought you wanted to leave too!?
Fortunately, the Old Man reacted swiftly, put around half of the food in a little lunchbox and handed it over so that the guests found themselves slumped over back on Kongō’s deck soon.
"Human…", Kongō drawled in warning.
Said human merely beamed at their free food: "I won't have to steal food tonight~"
Kongō glared at the box now: "I can make you food too."
"Yep, but if I get it for free you won't have to work, right?", they walked away with a jump in their step, humming some random melody happily, "I'll be putting this in the storage~"
She followed after them with something that would’ve been a pout on anyone else, hovering near.
The human didn't pay any mind to it, busy with keeping Luigi from making them drop their well-earned earnings.
When they finally noticed Kongō's proud self following after them while turning a corner (almost resulting in a heart attack), they started talking about the first thing that came to mind: "That was some wild goosechase we went on, huh? I'm glad that it ended though, even if it ended up being quite uneventful in the end."
"Are you disappointed?"
They almost snorted: "By the end? No", they blushed a bit, "being inside a battle is not really exciting, you know. Ah! For a ship like you it might be – I'm sure it was a good exercise for you."
It had been fun, if she were honest. The sea was calm now, as it should be, but Kongō did miss the chance to… stretch her limbs, in a way.
"It was."
"I can imagine!", they finally stored the food away without losing anything to Luigi, "I'm honestly missing stealing things too."
Kongō gave an amused huff.
That certainly wasn't a good thing to miss either, but it had been a good deal of fun from time to time.
They gave a nervous laugh: "Don't tell that to the police, please."
"Don't worry, I will bail you out."
With what money!?, they thought, but turned around to smile at Kongō, "What are we gonna do now, Ojō-sama?"
"Hm?", she cocked her head cutely.
A blush was creeping up on their cheeks, they could sense it and cursed Kongō for it: if she wasn't being cool then she was unfairly cute and both weren't good for their heart!
"W-well! We don’t have a bigger goal anymore, so I was wondering what we were going to do now?"
"Hmmm", Kongō said again, arms crossed, "may I try something?"
"Uh", a blink, "sure?"
Kongō took a few steps forwards, gently nudged Luigi out of the way and hugged her human tightly, breathing into their neck.
They turned into a frozen tomato instantly: "O-ojō-sama!? What are you doing!?"
"You're warm", she said smiling, no doubt pleased with herself.
"It's not like you're ice cold!", her Union Core produced warmth! Really!
"I'm not simulating metabolistic functions."
True, but you're still not cold!
"Uhm", they returned her hug hesitantly, not fully believing this but all the more glad for it, "if I… if you want then, uh, you can take all the… warmth you want."
God, you're an idiot, stop stuttering!
Kongō just seemed more amused, placed a short kiss on their cheek and continued to laugh at the face she got in response.
They couldn't even form words anymore, instead just stuttering as their brain tried to reboot.
"Don't die on me", she petted their shoulders and placed their foreheads together, "I plan on having you and your little four-legged friend in my life for quite a while."
Deeply touched and redder than red, they surged forwards and closed the distance with a cute squeak.
Kongō smiled against their lips.

Chapter 3
Clint was really beginning to enjoy the summer.  It had been a long, long time since he could remember actually really enjoying one.  Not since everyone had turned to dust.  It was a season that had been tainted.  The last time he had really remembered enjoying it was the one where his family had died.
Since then there were five where he’d been alone, furious and broken.  Where the summer was just an uncomfortable season where he remembered everything he lost.  Then there was one year where all he felt was guilt and melancholy.  Guilt over the fact he couldn’t be what Laura needed him to be and melancholy over a season he usually mourned.
This year had been better.  He had the dog now and his kids were with him.  He’d take them to Central Park and visit the Zoo or go to Heckscher Playground and let them run around in the water.  He’d taken them to see movies where they’d sat in the cool watching all the new features that had been made now half of Hollywood had reappeared.  He’d taken them to see the Mets play and down to Coney Island to visit Luna Park.  He was making the effort to be who they needed him to be at least.  Cooper and Lila had already lost one dad.  They didn’t deserve to lose another.  Even if he had already mourned their deaths.
One thing that was helping him a lot was you.  Part of it was probably a huge case of white knight syndrome.  He was aware of it.  He wouldn’t have joined the Avengers if he didn’t get a kick out of helping people.  He helped people a lot.  It was kind of his thing.  It was more than that though.  Yeah, he was happy he’d gotten you away from that asshole of a boyfriend.  Yeah, he was happy that he’d set you on your feet so you could do this whole pregnancy thing without the looming threat of a man that beat you or not being able to provide for them.  Mostly he just liked having you around.
He’d shut people out.  It wasn’t just that he wasn’t letting new people in, he’d also shut out the friends and family he already had.  Opening that door for you seemed to open up a little bit of the man he used to be before all this happened.  Not only that, without Richard looming over you, you started to come to life.  You were like a breath of fresh air.  Even after you moved into the apartment next door you’d come by to have meals with them.  Often bringing over some of the dishes the neighbors had been making, sometimes cooking from scratch.  While he missed eating pizza as much as he was, it was definitely good to that the kids were eating better.  Laura would be happy to hear it in any case.
You’d gotten a job at Stark Industry basically doing data entry.  It wasn’t much, but it was something that you could sit for and it would last you until you couldn’t work anymore.  On your days off you were with them.  You came to movies and the park and the zoo.  The kids had all bonded with you quite closely considering it had only been a month and a half.  He liked seeing you with them.  He liked you.  He liked himself with you.  He started to recognize the guy he’d used to be.  The one that was happy and flirtatious and hadn’t lost his family.
Which kinda sucked because he couldn’t see how there was any chance for you two to be anything.  He couldn’t properly hit on you.  The flirting was harmless but you’d just gotten out of an abusive relationship.  You needed time and space.  You’d already said you’d worried that he wanted something from you as payment.  He wasn’t exactly in the best place either.  How was he supposed to make a new relationship work when he’d fucked his marriage up so badly?  Not to mention you were pregnant.  It upped the stakes.  He had to be really sure that there was something there before he messed with your life.  The problem was that he was never sure about that kind of thing.
It has been Nat that has introduced him to Bobbi.  It has been Nat who has pushed him towards Laura.  He didn’t know if he had it in him to try without he smacking him over the back of the head.
As the summer drew to a close he had really started to relax.  It was a weird sensation after so many years where he wouldn’t let himself.  You were at his apartment with the kids waiting for Laura to pick them up.  You were all playing Mario Kart.  He couldn’t quite believe how much fun he was having.  The kids were being hypercompetitive.  You were shoving him every time he got in the lead to try and make him crash.  Everyone was laughing and screaming, but that good kind of screaming where you’re having so much fun it comes out as shrieks.  Each time you pushed against him he felt a warm tingle inside him.  That little flutter of potential.  He wanted it to go away but at the same time, he liked it.  He liked that he could feel that again.
You shoved him again making him fly his baby Luigi off the side of the rainbow road.  “Oh, that’s it!”  He said trying to grab your controller out of your hands.
“No!”   You squealed, climbing up the back of the couch.  He wrestled with you for it making everyone laugh and Lucky start to bark excitedly.
“Yes!  You want to play dirty, we’ll play dirty.”  He teased.
There was a knock at the door and Lila jumped up and ran over to answer it.  “Mom!”  She squealed.
Everyone froze and looked over to see Laura standing in the doorway looking bemused.
“Mommy!”  Nate yelled, running over to Laura and throwing himself at her.  She caught him and picked him up as she pulled Lila into a hug too.
“Hey, guys.  I missed you.”  She said as she held them close.
Clint stood a little startled.  He knew Laura was coming today but he thought he had a few more hours.  He checked the microwave clock but it was flashing 12.00 as it had been since the day he moved in.  “Are you early?”
“Yeah, sorry.”  She said.  “I totally misjudged how long it would take to get here.  I don’t wanna rush them out or anything.  I do have that baby stuff you asked for in the car though.”
“Oh, great.  Thanks, Laur.”  He said and introduced the two of you.  “How about we go get that and you guys pack up the last of your stuff and then we can all go out and grab an early dinner?”
“Sounds good to me,”  Laura said putting Nate down.
“You mind helping them out?”
You nodded.  “Sure of course.  Come on you lot.”
Clint followed Laura downstairs leaving you and the kids to pack up their things.  “I hope this stuff is okay.  It’s all really old now.”  Laura said as she made her way down the stairs.  “I forgot that until I was going through it and it was covered in almost a decade of dust.”
Clint sighed and nodded.  “I guess if it’s no good we can have a baby shower and buy whatever else.”
Laura looked at him and raised her eyebrow.  “We?  Is this your baby, Clint?”
“What?  No.  I’d have told you I was with someone.”
“Well, that’s something at least.”  She said with a shake of her head.  “Who is this woman, Clint?  Why are you doing this?”
“She doesn’t have anyone.  And her ex was beating her.  I… Laur, I couldn’t do nothing.”
“There’s doing something and then there’s bending over backward.”  She said.  “Do you want something to happen with her.”
“No.  It’s not like that…”  He said.
“Clint, I just saw you.  I know what you look like when you’re falling for someone.”
He sighed and opened the door for her to go outside.  “I just… Laura.  She needed someone.  I couldn’t be who you needed me to be.  I tried.  And I wish it was different.  But it’s not.  And she needed help.  I can give her that.  I should be dead and I’m not so I need to do something to make it count.”
Laura stopped and looked him over.  She approached him and cupped his jaw.  It was such a familiar move yet it was like it was something that used to happen to a whole other man.  “I miss her too, Clint.  Every single day.  And I miss you.  But you aren’t the man I miss.  I think he died right along with us, only we don’t remember that happening.”
Clint opened his mouth to say something.  To apologize or try to explain or something.  She put her finger on his lips.  “It’s okay, Clint.  I can’t even try to understand what those five years were like.  I’m not even sure I want to.  You aren’t who you were before.  But the world isn’t what it was before.  It’s different and maybe you’re right.  Maybe she needs you.  But maybe you need her too.  Just…”  She paused and took a deep breath, caressing his cheek with her thumb.  “Be careful.  For both your sake.”
He nodded leaning his head into her hand a little.  “I don’t want anyone to get hurt.”
“I love you, you know that?”  Laura said.  “If helping her, or being with her helps you find yourself, do it.  Be happy.”
He smiled sadly and nodded.  “I love you too.”  He said.  “I wish…”
“Me too, Clint.  But let’s not dwell on it anymore.  We’ve all lost too much.  Time to move forward.”  She said.  “Now help me get these things outta my car.”
Clint nodded and popped the trunk.  He did wish things were different in so many ways.  Laura was right though, it was time to move forward.  Most likely nothing would happen between you and him.  It was unfair of him to expect it would.  He could be your friend and he hadn’t made a new one in a long time.  That was a good start.

For Your Entertainment ~ Chapter One
Tumblr media
Summary: Luigi receives a mysterious letter.
Warnings: N/A
A/N: Welcome to the show! This is a dark little horror-esque story I wrote and finished up last year, and since it’s the month of spookiness, what better time than now to post it here? It may be a bit familiar to some people since I’ve published it elsewhere before, but I have changed and polished up some things since it’s publication last year. To the newcomers, welcome! Fair warning in advance though, this story will get darker. Keep an eye out for warnings in the future. But until then and without further ado, enjoy!
“Mail call!” Parakarry’s voice eagerly called out through the morning air.
He flapped his wings before landing, stretching out his arms and wings before reaching into his mailbag. He opened the mailbox outside the manor before him, whistling as he dug through his bag for the mail meant for this house.
He craned his neck, turning up to look at the green manor situated just up a small hill, a stone path leading to the front door. The quaint manor was certainly not the most extravagant of living spaces, but it was suitable. There was a well maintained garden gracing the front lawn, flowers of all colors, shapes, and sizes displayed upon the path.
Parakarry wiped the sweat off his brow, readying himself to fly off again when a voice called out.
“Good morning, Parakarry!”
Parakarry stopped, turning.
The owner of the manor appeared, rushing down the stone path to greet the Paratroopa with a smile on his face. The brunette’s hair was messy, his mustache uncombed as visible dark circles became apparent under his bright blue eyes. He had most likely just crawled out of bed.
“Ah, Luigi! Good to see you’re chipper today.” Parakarry grinned, watching as Luigi rushed up to the fence lining the yard, leaning against it.
“How’re you doing today, Parakarry?”
“I’m doing quite well. A bit frazzled, but quite well.”
“A lot of stuff to deliver today, huh?”
“That’s not even the half of it.” Parakarry chuckled. “The post office has been chaos since this morning. Postmaster said there was this little toad girl running around the office asking the rest of the employees about something. She’d been there since we opened. Totally threw him for a loop.”
“Do you know who she was?”
“No idea. The Postmaster thinks she was handing out fliers for something, I don’t know. He was already ordering me to get my tail out here, I didn’t have time to ask.”
“Oh, well, you’re right on schedule, I’d say.” Luigi laughed.
“I’d like to think I’m getting much better at delivering the mail on time.” Parakarry chuckled, slightly embarrassed. “If you happen to find anything in your mail is missing, that’s probably my fault… But, I’ll be sure to drop anything I missed off later, once I finish my route for today.”
“Well, don’t work too hard. Can I get you anything before you head off, Parakarry? I could get you a drink or something…”
“Oh, no. I’m in fine shape. Just have a long day ahead of me. There’s been a lot more letters coming in recently, which I hypothesize has something to do with that get-together the princess has been planning.”
“It’s only a meeting, Parakarry. I don’t think it’s that exciting.” Luigi smiled. “No one’s gonna be sending letters out to their grandparents about some king or prince coming to the Mushroom Kingdom to discuss economics with the princess.”
“Well, Toad Town gets excited over the littlest things, you know. Whether that be royalty figures getting together for, say… a ball, or a meeting, or a conference, or even for... tea time, really!”
“They’re just gonna be talking about trade negotiations and stuff like that. It’s all boring.”
“Oh, right, I’m sorry. I forgot you knew so much about the princess’s business ever since you and that prince got hitched… Your Highness.” Parakarry sneered, bowing playfully. “You’re going to be at the meeting anyway, don’t even know why I brought it up.”
“I’m not really royalty, Parakarry.” Luigi crossed his arms, a faint blush on his face as he turned, exhaling. “I’m just the prince consort.”
“Sureee… whatever you say.” Parakarry shrugged. “Just don’t come crying to me if you ever get kidnapped by Bowser or anything. If his knack for capturing royalty keeps up, that is.”
Luigi chuckled. “Then you’ll have to team up with Mario again to rescue me, I suppose.”
“I guess so.” Parakarry flapped his wings, turning away from Luigi with a hearty laugh. “I really should be on my way, though, friend. I still have so many letters to deliver, and there are so many impatient homeowners out there. A postman’s job is never done, after all!”
“I understand.” Luigi stepped back, smiling. “Be safe out there.”
“Of course!”
And with that, Parakarry flew off. Luigi waved goodbye to him, watching the postman until he disappeared from view into the cloudy sky in the distance.
Luigi stretched before pushing open the fence's wooden gate, retrieving his mail and sifting through it. He yawned, trying to rub the sleep out of his eyes as the sun continued to creep up over the hillside.
The mail mostly consisted of bills and scam letters from Waluigi, but a postcard from Mario made him smile, a warm feeling now in his chest. It was nice to think that his brother still had time to send him things, despite how busy he must be, traveling the world with his newfound cap companion and whatnot.
Luigi walked back into his manor groggily, dropping off the mail on the kitchen counter before walking to the bathroom to freshen up.
His pet, Polterpup, followed him curiously, leaping up against his owner’s legs to try and get his attention. Luigi smiled, laughing and promising the ghostly pup playtime later. He still had something to do today, after all.
Luigi did just enough to appear suitable before heading back out the door, walking down the path towards Toad Town. He had been up since early morning only because he wanted to get to Tayce T.’s kitchen before it got too crowded, and morning was his best bet. He didn’t exactly like being out alone at night, and Grambi forbid some poor soul try to go to the bakery in the afternoon. Luigi cringed at the thought.
All he needed was to pick up some ingredients for a few recipes he'd gotten as gifts from Peach for his birthday. While he was relatively good at cooking, he didn’t know a whole lot about making pastries. That was the princess’s specialty, not his. Luigi usually stuck to making various spaghetti dishes. But, most of the recipes given to him were for cakes, muffins, cupcakes, and the like, so he’d have to get a few ingredients from Tayce T. if he hoped on ever finishing even one of the recipes.
Not that he minded waking up early anyway. Early morning walks were always so beautiful. The creatures were starting to stir, and the sun was just starting to rise. He breathed slowly, taking in all the sights until he made his way into Toad Town.
Toads were congregating outside, walking in and out of stores and talking amongst themselves. Luigi’s presence didn’t faze them, not like if Mario was there. But, Luigi was fine with that. He didn’t like being randomly talked to and swarmed anyway. The toads still waved and said hello as he passed though, Luigi politely greeting them in return.
He eventually made it into Tayce T.’s kitchen, the little cook glancing up at Luigi as he entered. A faint smile graced her face as he walked in. She was already moving to reach into a cupboard to retrieve his items before he could even request anything of her.
”Ah, Luigi, welcome in! I’ve been preparing what you ordered. Just allow me to clarify…” She hummed, putting a bag out on the counter. “You just wanted the cake mix and a honey shroom, right?”
Luigi nodded, handing over the sufficient amount of coins for her as he smiled. “Grazie.”
She took the payment hesitantly, exhaling. “It's always so nice to see such a happy face, Luigi. I take it your morning has been lovely?”
”Yep! Actually, I was planning on making something sweet tonight for my hus-” Luigi paused upon noticing Tayce T.’s sunken features. Her gaze wasn’t focused on Luigi, instead staring forward with dull eyes. She looked… sad. “A-Are you alright, Ms. Tayce?”
”W-What? Oh, yes. My apologies!” Tayce T. flinched and held her hands together, nodding. “I’ve just been thinking about… oh, there was this incident this morning and… I don’t know. I'm sure it'll be alright. I'm fine." She offered a weak smile.
Luigi ventured further. “You’re… sure?”
”Most certainly, Luigi.”
"Do you want to talk-"
”Hey!” Another toad’s voice cut in, Luigi flipping around to make eye contact with a very agitated customer, who was tapping their foot impatiently on the floor. “Some of us also want to buy stuff!”
”O-Oh, I’m sorry, I-”
Tayce T. reached at Luigi’s hand, handing him his bag of ingredients. She smiled. ”Take care, Luigi. I trust I’ll see you again soon?”
"Oh, y-yeah!” Luigi attempted before being curtly shoved aside by the other toad.
Tayce T. looked at the customer disapprovingly before softening her expression, Luigi looking back at her. She glanced away before waving goodbye as Luigi made his way out the door.
Luigi sighed, cradling the bag of ingredients in his arms as he started back toward home. The walk back was peaceful, the young brunette catching small bits of conversation as the toads spoke to one another, talking about the day ahead.
”-and you haven’t seen him at all?”
The fragments of a conversation caught his attention.
He turned a corner, noticing a bright pink figure with her back turned to him, talking to a green-capped, mustached toad with glasses on his face. He was looking over a piece of paper, rubbing at his chin.
”...Nope. Can’t say I have. I wish you the best of luck in finding ‘im though.”
The pink figure stared down at the ground defeatedly as the green toad walked away, only perking her head up when she heard her name called.
”Toadette!”
”Luigi…?”
Luigi approached with a smile on his face, but froze, his breath hitching as Toadette turned to face him. Her expression was pale and positively mortified, clutching staggering amounts of paper in her arms like a vice.
”Toadette, a-are you okay?”
”Have you seen Toad?!”
The question caught him off guard.
”N-No… I haven’t. What’s wrong?”
Toadette wiped at the tears forming in her eyes, whimpering as she tried to compose herself. "T-Toad… Toad, he… I don’t know where he is, Luigi!”
Luigi felt his chest stiffen. “What?”
”A-About a week ago, I went out of the house to go hang out with Birdetta, and I left Toad home alone. When I got back later that night, he wasn’t there. And I-I don’t know where he would’ve gone, because I was only out for a few hours and-d he didn’t tell me he was going anywhere, and he would’ve told me if he did, and he didn’t leave a note or an-anything a-and I-!”
”Hey, hey…” Luigi, despite his own growing anxiety, tried to comfort Toadette. “Slow down.”
”I tried to j-just wait it out to see if he’d come home, but he still isn’t back! I wanted to take matters into my own hands, because I don’t know if h-he ran away, or if he got lost, or worse, but I-I couldn’t stand to just sit there while my brother was still missing, so I-I made these...”
She paused, sniffling and reaching towards the bundle of papers in her arms. She handed one over to Luigi, Luigi’s face noticeably paling as he examined the page.
It was a missing poster, the words alarmingly bolded with a photograph of Toad plastered on it, information lining the bottom.
”I tried getting these hung up all over town, the post office, the club, the boardwalk, the kitchen… b-but… no one has seen h-him so far, and I-I…” Toadette released a sob, nearly falling into Luigi’s arms.
”Toadette…” Luigi tried to reach a hand out to comfort her, but she shrunk back.
“I-I guess I’m probably just o-overreacting… he… he’s old enough to do what he wants… I-I just,” she hiccuped between sobs. “I wish he would’ve told me where he was going! I-I just want him to be okay. B-But, if he doesn’t want to be f-found, then…” She shook her head. ”If he doesn’t turn up s-soon, I’m going to go out and find him myself…! I-I have to know if my brother is okay!”
”Th-That sounds dangerous.” Luigi squeaked out. “I-I can look with you, and I’m sure Peasley wouldn’t object to joining us… You shouldn’t go alone.”
”Hopefully it won’t come to that.” Toadette concluded with a sigh, turning away as she rubbed at her eyes. “Just… keep an eye out for him, please. If you hear from him, let me know.”
”R-Right. Of course.”
Luigi didn’t have time to say anything else before Toadette promptly rushed off, approaching another couple of toads, handing them each the posters. Luigi turned to continue back home, despite now feeling a heavy sensation swelling deep within his chest.
An ominous feeling of dread loomed over him as he walked back to the manor.
                                          - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Luigi’s walk back was mostly silent, aside from the occasional heavy sigh or nervous hum.
The thoughts of worry produced by the single haunting image of one of his friends on a missing poster made his stomach twist. He tried to steady his breathing and think rationally as he approached his house, sighing. As he passed the fence gate outside the manor and approached the door up the stone path, however, he paused.
There was an envelope placed on the doorknob, delicately balanced atop it.
Confused, he shifted his holding on the bag of ingredients and picked up the note, flipping it over to see if there was any information on it. All that was printed on the envelope was a picture of a star, colored in a violet ink.
Perhaps Parakarry had left one of his letters in the post office after all.
He pushed open the door, putting the cake mix and honey shroom away before carefully tearing open the mysterious envelope. With cautious fingers, he removed a sheet of paper from within and began to read what was neatly printed upon it.
‘Hello, Luigi.
It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? Far too long, I’d say. How long has it been? It was quite hard to keep track of time down there, I’m afraid.
I’ve been really busy, you see. It’s taken me ever so long to send you this letter.
They tried their hardest, their very hardest, to contain me. And I admire their amusing attempts. But, I’m quite the persistent person, like a spider weaving its web over and over on a rainy day.
To think, life works in mysterious ways. It’s quite funny, really, how our pasts catch up to us.
You and I have plenty in common. You may hate to admit it, but it’s true. You and I are much closer than you’d like to think. Haven’t you felt lonesome without me? I’m apart of you, after all.
May I indulge you in a secret?
You ruined me, Luigi.
Your weakness brought about my downfall. It led me to a horrific afterlife of endless torment. I endured so much suffering. Loneliness and eternal solitude consumed my days.
But, now, I’ve escaped from that treacherous prison known as death. And, as I had plenty of time to ponder, I know exactly what I want now.
I want to see you suffer, just as I had.
I’m going to make your life a living nightmare. All who you know and love, will be guaranteed a long and painful demise at my hands.
You ruined my chance at happiness and I’m only returning the favor.
I want nothing more than to see you break as you are forced to watch your life crumble apart.
I’ve spent so much time preparing for this, you see.
I shan’t spoil the surprise. Not yet. Nor will I reveal my identity. I want you to experience every moment of this spectacle for yourself.
It will be quite a show.
I’ll see you again soon, Luigi. I’m much closer than you’d like to think.

Season 3 Episode 7: “Together or alone”
Message from Hanna: Happy Easter, let me know if you need anything
Text from Mom: Will I see you at church today?
Text to Mom: I have to study
Matteo: Hey
Hans: It’s okay. You don’t have to apologize
Matteo: I wasn’t going to
Hans: Oh?
Matteo: I need your advice
Hans: You need advice. As in tip
Matteo: Yes
Hans: You need advice from me? De moi?
Matteo: Hans
Hans: So you trust me? In a way you look up to me?
Matteo: Is that enough now?
Hans: If you call me gay guru
Matteo: What?
Hans: Yes, you heard correctly. Go on, say it
Matteo: Okay, if it makes you happy, you’re my guru
Hans: Nice. Come on
Matteo: Where?
Hans: For a walk
Matteo: And the roast?
Hans: That has to rot in hell for four hours (”schmoren” means stew but also rot in hell)
Hans: Okay
Matteo: So I’ve told you about David
Hans: Yes
Matteo: There was something going on between us…well we made out all night and then I broke up with Sara for him and then he told me he doesn’t want to be with me. I just can’t believe it
Hans: Is David gay?
Matteo: I think so
Hans: Oh I know that. David probably isn’t out yet and got scared
Matteo: And what should I do now?
Hans: You can’t force him to be himself, he has to figure that out on his own. Do you want me to be honest?
Matteo: Maybe
Hans: Give him time. Or forget about him
Matteo: What are you doing?
Hans: What does it look like?
Matteo: Like you’re jerking off
Hans: Funny. I’m praying
Matteo: Why?
Hans: Just because. Besides I like the quiet in here. Too uncool for you?
Matteo: It’s okay. I used to sing in a church choir
Hans: Really?
Matteo: My mom was super proud. Unfortunately she’s totally cracking up/going crazy now. I don’t know how to tell her about all of that
Hans: You can light a candle for her. You know, sometimes parents can really surprise you. My mom for example. She’s recently started watching RuPaul’s Drag Race
Matteo: Mine is taking antidepressants now
Hans: At least
Matteo: At least
Amira: Hey, na, how are you?
Matteo: I looked up a few topics and read through them
Amira: Okay
Matteo: And I believe we’re done with the theory of evolution, now we only need to go over the genetics stuff
Amira: And that’s for me?
Matteo: Yes
Amira: Who are you and what have you done to Matteo?
Matteo: Funny
Amira: I know
Matteo: Okay, wanna study now?
Amira: Yes
Text from Kiki: I have your back!!!! Gaypride!
Amira: Did you see the link I sent you?
Matteo: What link?
Amira: Just an article I read, it’s not that important. Well, it’s about what we talked about the other day, that being gay and evolution aren’t compatible
Matteo: Yes
Amira: I know that doesn’t happen often, well, actually that never happens, but maybe I could’ve possibly been wrong
Matteo: Wrong? YOU?
Amira: Apparently there’s new research that proves that homosexuality has existed for thousands of years that’s why it’s basically a part of evolution. Epigenetically it’s passed on to the next generation. I thought that was good to know so that we won’t fail the exam
Matteo: Thanks
Amira: You’re welcome!
Matteo: What about Islam?
Amira: What do you mean?
Matteo: Well, what does Islam say about homosexuality?
Amira: Islam says that everybody - no matter the origin, orientation or skin color - is equal. If some idiot tries to judge people or spread hate through Islam then that only happens because of fear. Just don’t listen to it
Matteo: Cool
Amira: Good. Before I forget: my mom made these for easter
Matteo: May I?
Amira: Of course
Matteo: Sweet
Amira: And, how do you like them?
Matteo: Awesome
Abdi: Watch out
Carlos: Dude, that was your turn
Abdi: How was I supposed to get that?
Matteo: Yo
Jonas: Na, I’m beating these guys
Carlos: We’re gonna see about that
Abdi: What’s up?
Matteo: You okay? Boys, I’m really sorry about the other day. I wasn’t doing well and it was really shitty of me. You wanna come over to booze on Friday? Crate’s on me (crate of beer)
Carlos: Easy
Abdi: Yeees
Jonas: Sure!
Matteo: I’m really sorry!
Carlos: Ehm…I know it’s stupid, but Kiki texted me that you broke up with Sara because of a guy
Abdi: Dude, Kiki’s round the bend
Carlos: You’re round the bend
Abdi: What, she just goes around saying Matteo’s gay…that’s not normal
Matteo: Guys, do you remember the dance group?
Abdi: Dude, I only have to close my eyes and I can see them in front of me
Carlos: The dance moves
Abdi: No, it was more like that
Matteo: Do you remember the guy that came over?
Carlos: The gay one?
Matteo: How do you know he’s gay?
Carlos: You said so yourself
Matteo: No, not the instructor, but the one that asked about the beanie
Abdi: Yes
Carlos: What about him?
Matteo: Well, there was something going on between us
Carlos: How? Are you really gay?
Matteo: Yes, well, at least I believe so. I’m not into you or anything, just into guys
Carlos: But you always said you like girls
Abdi: Maybe you’re bi?
Carlos: Or pan
Abdi: Pan?
Carlos: Pansexual. When you’re into everything. Kiki explained that to me
Abdi: But when you’re bi you also like both boys and girls, I mean where’s the difference?
Carlos: When you’re pansexual the gender doesn’t matter
Jonas: Guys, it doesn’t matter, you know, the important thing is that we love somebody. And Friday I’d say we’re at Luigi’s.
Abdi and Carlos: Appreciative mumbling
Jonas: Attack! We need the ball
Abdi: Actually pretty cool Luigi, I mean if you’re gay there’s more girls for us
Carlos: I thought you liked Sam?
Abdi: I do, but if she’s not interested
Alex: Is she home?
Matteo: Yes, good luck
Matteo: Hey
Sara: Hey
Matteo: Sara please wait! Do you have time?
Sara: Not really
Matteo: Please! It won’t take long
Sara: Okay
Matteo: Are you moving?
Sara: Confirming nod
Matteo: Cool, where?
Sara: I don’t know yet
Matteo: Okay
Sara: What do you want?
Matteo: I wanted to apologize. I’m sorry, it was shitty of me
Sara: Yes, that’s right
Matteo: I just didn’t know how to tell you
Sara: What?
Matteo: You already know, right? Don’t you know that feeling that you just wanna belong and don’t have to explain yourself? I just want you to know that it’s not you. Even if that’s a stupid off-the-shelf line
Sara: My dad lost his job
Matteo: What?
Sara: We have no more reserve assets. No idea what’s gonna happen now, we have to move into a smaller apartment
Matteo: Why didn’t you tell me?
Sara: I don’t know
Matteo: Did you talk to anybody about it?
Sara: No
Matteo: What about Leonie?
Sara: She doesn’t understand
Matteo: Are you sure?
Sara: I think it’s better that you go now
Matteo: I just wanted you to know that I hope that one day you won*t hate me anymore and we can be friends
Sara: You (as in “hey”) What about David?
Matteo: I really have no idea. See ya
Abdi: And you really fucked her?
Carlos: Not bad
Abdi: And she really has an article on Wikipedia?
Carlos: What?
Abdi: Dude how was it?
Jonas: Was nice, but doesn’t compare to relationship fucks. Everything okay? Is that from David?
Carlos: What are you doing?
Jonas: That’s from David
Carlos: Super cute
Abdi: Totally
Carlos: He’s great at drawing
Abdi: Dude that’s not what it’s about
Carlos: Can be mentioned
Abdi: What about you and him?
Matteo: No idea. We were super close and suddenly he didn’t want to see me anymore
Carlos: Hot and cold? I know that from Kiki
Abdi: Maybe he just wants to fuck you
Carlos: Dude
Jonas: I just have the feeling he’s playing with you. You know, he keeps you on the hook
Matteo: What do you mean?
Jonas: I don’t know, I think you should tell him straight up
Mia: Na, flat share drinking?
Carlos: This is flat share coffee party
Hanna: Can I take a beer?
Jonas: Yes
Hanna: I can do that on my own!
Mia: See you later
Jonas: See? Just clearly communicate with one another and everything’s good. Okay honestly dude you just gotta tell David straight up he shouldn’t send you drawings anymore he should tell you what he wants from you. And otherwise he should just leave you alone
Carlos: Yes
Abdi: Isn’t that a little too harsh?
Jonas: Why? It’s just super clean-cut: Remember the girl I made out with? She just wanted to talk to me and in the end it was definite
Carlos: That talk
Jonas: You just take it serious and make a definite decision. And you don’t wanna wait until he comes just to shoot you off five minutes later, either. You want clarity, too, don’t you?
Matteo: Yeah, you’re right. But it’s so fucked up because I don’t know what to text him
Jonas: That he should tell you what he wants
Abdi: Maybe you should just tell him what you want
Matteo: Yeah, makes sense
Abdi (? not sure who’s talking): Are you texting him now?
Matteo: Yes
Deleted text to David: The drawings are nice but why are you sending...
Carlos: When Kiki and I aren’t doing well I listen to Miley Cyrus
Matteo: I thought I was the gay one
Jonas: I always listen to (couldn’t understand what he was saying) when I am or was lovesick back when I was with Hanna
Abdi: I’ve never really been lovesick before
Jonas: Be glad!
Carlos: Totally! Not nice
Sent text to David: Stop sending me drawings if you don’t want to be with me!
Abdi: Did you send it?
Matteo: Yes
Jonas: Nice. Cheers
Carlos: Absolutely right!
Abdi: Great. Is that him?
Matteo: No, just my mom
Jonas: Dude, everything’s good, you took the first step, that’s okay, that’s good
Abdi: In your place I’d feel really bad
Jonas: Dude!
Matteo: Thanks
Jonas: You know what: I still have this
Carlos: No
Matteo: You only buy the cheapest shit
Abdi: Dude, pure (as in “not mixed with anything else”)?
Carlos: My throat is on fire
Jonas: Look at your face
Carlos: Look at your mother. Dude do you have anything to eat?
Matteo: No, don’t think so
Jonas: Let’s just order pizza
Abdi: Yes, with lots of Hollandaise sauce
Carlos: Dude, are you stupid? Since when does Hollandaise belong on pizza?
Abdi: Hollandaise is just great, it belongs on everything
Carlos: Jonas tell that asshole that Hollandaise only belongs on asparagus and not on pizza
Jonas: No I actually quite like it
Abdi: Boom
Matteo: Dude get out of my flat
Jonas: You want anything, too?
Matteo (Italian accent): Yes, I’ll have a pizza Margherita with extra tzatziki
Abdi: And that’s not disgusting or what?
Carlos: No
Matteo: Dude shut up you put Hollandaise sauce on pizza
Abdi: Yeah because it’s great
Matteo: No it’s like putting milkshake on fries
Abdi: That’s great as well
Jonas: Boys, pizza is ordered, Hollandaise sauce, Tzatziki, everything. Nice, okay, should be here soon
Carlos: Well that was quick
Matteo: Hello?
Jonas: Do you want me to open one for you, too?
Matteo: It’s David
Carlos: That David?
Matteo: Yes, that David
Abdi: He’s here?
Matteo: You have to go!
Carlos: Let’s go
Abdi: And what about the pizza?
Jonas:Go go go go go!
Abdi: Are you gonna have sexual intercourse now? (yes, he uses that expression)
Jonas: Just come with us
Mia: What?
Matteo: Quickly, please
Hanna: Yes, we just need our jackets
Mia: Why?
Hanna: I don’t know. Matteo what’s going on?
Matteo: It’s okay, it’s okay
Mia: Right now?
Matteo: Yes
Matteo: Hi
David: Hi

Fanfic #19: The Time When Oscar (Somehow) Got Invited to Smash Bros. Bonus Chapter 2: The Random Arrival
After a long day in the city of Atlas, Oscar decides to go back to the apartment, where his friends are waiting.
Upon his stroll, the farm boy suddenly smelled something burning a few miles from where he's walking. So he began to rush to where the fire is supposed to be located immediately.
Oscar couldn't believe what he saw once he got to where the smoke is coming from. He saw a giant, fiery symbol (the same symbol he saw on the back of the letter he received the other day), while also seeing a bunch of unfamiliar faces standing right in front of it.
Tumblr media
Before the farm boy could even question all that is happening, an Italian plumber, who was one of the people who was standing in front of the burning symbol, begins to greet the young Farmer.
??? (Happily): Hello, Oscar Pine! I bet you didn't expect all of this, huh?
Oscar (Surprised about what is happening) N-not really, no....Okay, just who are you guys?
???: (Laughs embarrassedly) Where are our manners? Its-a me, Mario!
Oscar: Wait...Mario? As in, THE Mario?!
Mario: That's correct!
Oscar: (....No way....is this really happening right now?)
Mario: If you don't mind, I would like to introduce to you my friends over there.
Oscar: (Still unsure about what's even happening now) .....Suuure...
Mario begins to introduce Oscar to the rest of his friends, who was also standing in front of the symbol. From his brother, Luigi, to the tomboyish princess of Sarasaland (and Luigi's girlfriend), Daisy, to even Mario's arch enemy, King Bowser, a giant monster like turtle with spikes for his shell, they all seemed to greeted the farm boy with kindness. But even still, Oscar is still very confused on what's going on right now.
Oscar: It's really nice to meet you guys and all, but...what exactly you all are doing here?
Luigi: Sorry to barge in like this, but we're actually here to take you to the tournament with us.
Oscar: The tournament?
Daisy: Well...yeah. We sent you a letter telling you about it, remember?
Oscar: (Instantly remembered the letter that was sent to him the other day) Oh yeah. That letter....look, guys, I'm really honored that you would invite me to your tournament and all, but.... I don't think I can go.
Mario: (A Little Surprised of Oscar's answer) You couldn't attend the tournament? How come?
Oscar: I-It's not like I don't wanted to go or anything. It's just everything is happening in Atlas lately and-
Before he could finish his sentence, Oscar and the others immediately noticed someone is screaming the farm boy's name.
Bowser: Who the hell is screaming like that?
Luigi: I think someone is calling for you, Oscar.
Oscar turns around and see red like corkscrew from the distance, coming towards the group, while screaming the farm boy's name.
???: (Charging closer) OSCARRRRRRR!!!!!!
Oscar: (Instantly figured out who it was) R-Ruby-
Before he could say anything else, the red corkscrew begin to tackle Oscar to the ground. Once that happened, Mario and the gang sprint over and saw a girl in red, who was that red like corkscrew a seconds ago, is sitting on top of the farm boy. That girl was none other than the Huntress herself, Ruby Rose.
Oscar:(Surprised) R-Ruby, what the heck are you doing here?! Also where did you even come from?
Ruby: (Worried) We were looking everywhere for you! You haven't picked up your phone so we made up a search party to find you. We were so worried too...(Looks at the burning symbol and Mario and crew before frowning sadly) Oscar, what's going on? Why is Mario and the others are here?
Mario: Umm.... Hello there, uhh Ms. Ruby, isn't it?
Ruby: Hi Mario! (Turns back to Oscar) I'm still waiting for an answer, Oscar.
Oscar: Ruby, I can explain but.... could you please get off of me now?
Ruby: (Blushes in embarrassment) Oh umm right. Sorry...
Once Ruby got up from the farm boy and pulling him up on his feet, Oscar begins to explain everything that happened so far.
Ruby: (Frowns Sadly) Oscar, we talked about this. You can't be in Super Smash Bros!
Oscar: I-I know we did! That's why I declined their offer.
Ruby: (Surprised) You did?
Oscar: Of course I did, Ruby. You guys are my best friends and I would never leave you all like this. Not while there's so much is going on right now.
Ruby: (Touched by his words) Oscar....
WBY: Oscar!!!!
Weiss, Blake, and Yang runs towards the duo while giving Oscar a tight hug.
Yang: Thank, Oum, that you're okay, bud!
Blake: Where have you been, Oscar?! We were so worried- wait.....(noticed Mario and the gang) Guys....who are these people?
Yang: Ah man! They're the Mario Bros! Princess Daisy! And even King Bowser! But....why are they here?
Weiss: (Furious) AND WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS FLAMING SYMBOL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY?!!!!?!
Mario: Uhhh....
Oscar: ('Sigh') It's a long story, but I'll try to explain everything.
30 minutes of explanation later....
Blake: Ok, so somehow these guys came to our universe just to invite you to the Super Smash Bros Tournament, you guys mentioned, in person?
Oscar: Pretty much, yeah.
Yang: (Frowns) Oscar. You didn't take up on their offer, did you?
Oscar: No, Yang. I already declined their offer. You know I wouldn't leave you guys here.
Yang begins to look at Mario and the gang to see if Oscar's telling the truth.
Luigi: (Shrugs) It's true. I think he was telling us that the reason was because there was something going on here that's important before his friend tackled him...
(Ruby nervously laughs in embarrassment.)
Blake: Well... he's half right. Long story short, we have to save our world from a woman named Salem and her forces. Trust me, it gets even more complicated from here...
Mario: Hmm that does seems to be pretty serious...
Daisy: Yeah....(Comes up with an idea) Hey, we could all pitch in and help you guys out if you-
Ruby: That's really nice of you guys, but I don't think that'll be necessary. Salem is our problem now, and we don't want you guys getting involved with something like this. Plus, Oscar is a part of our team. We need him here to help too.
Mario: Well...if you're really sure....also, we want to apologise for coming by here unannounced like that. We all thought we could invite your friend to the tournament with us in person....we never realized how serious your situation here was and how much you need him to help out.....
Ruby: No no i-i-it's okay, Mr. Mario. We face stuff like this all the time. So it shouldn't be too much of a problem (Or...at least I really hope it's not). And as with inviting Oscar.... that's not really the only reason why he don't want him to enter...
Luigi/Daisy: It isn't?
Ruby: Yeah... another reason is because we don't think Oscar's ready for this kind of thing yet. I know that he can take care of himself and all, but he still needs more training in order to be a Huntsman. And also, (Gives Oscar a hug) we would be completely worried sick if anything were to happen to him out there. He's already been through a lot lately and the last thing that any of us wanted is to see him getting hurt. So we're sorry....but we cannot let Oscar enter that tournament.
Oscar: Ruby's right about this one. I know I could fight my own battles and all...but in all honesty, I don't think I would stood a chance in that tournament. Plus, everyone needs me here. I hope you all could understand.
Mario: Why, of course we do. We wouldn't want to force anyone to join the tournament if they didn't want to. We'd only asked because of our fans' votes.
Oscar: (Surprised) Wait... people were voting for me to join?
Mario: Well... you were a fan favorite in our universe.... kind of.
Ruby: (Smirks) D'awww look who has fans?~
(Oscar Groans in embarrassment)
Mario: Anyways, if you really couldn't attend our tournament this year, then we completely understand. You have some really good friends here, Oscar. And it wouldn't feel right to take you away from them like this....
Oscar: Thanks for understanding, Mario sir. And yeah.... (Smiles Softly) I'm really glad that these guys are my friends.
Ruby: (Touched by Oscar's words) Oh, Oscar. We're glad that you're our friend too!~
Blake: (Smiles Softly) Yeah. We never really said this as much, but we're all so glad that we met someone like you, Oscar.
Yang: (Pulls Oscar in a one arm hug while smiling brightly) Yeah, buddy. Thank you so much for staying by our side.
Weiss: (Smiles at the others) Well, while I'm glad that's all worked out, (immediately gets upset) that still doesn't explain who's responsible for this monstrosity! (Points at the burning symbol)
Mario: Oh yeah....that...well ummm you see we-
Bowser: (Points at Mario) It was all the plumber's idea.
Mario: Bowser!
Bowser: (Rolls is eyes) Oh don't act like all surprise on me! You do this every time we introduce new people to join Smash Bros.! Nearly give them nightmares with that crap.
Mario: I was only trying to leave a great impression! I wanted them see how special this tournament was. Isn't having a first impression important?
Luigi: I guess...but don't you think the whole flaming symbol thing is a little too much?
Daisy: Yeah... couldn't we just...I dunno...do some kind of musical number or something?
Mario: I doubt anyone would be interested in doing something like that.
Weiss: (Groans in irritation) Nevermind. I'll put it out myself....
Weiss set one of her dust onto her Rapier before using it (gracefully) to put down the burning symbol. Much to everyone's, except for RBY and Oscar, surprised.
Weiss: The next time you people visit here, maybe not create something that could cause a huge fire hazzard around our city.
Mario: (Laughs Nervously) Noted....sorry about that.
Yang: You know, you guys are welcome to join us on a tour around the place if you like.
Mario: We would love to...but I think it's time for us to get back to the Smash Universe about now.
Ruby: You're leaving already?
Luigi: Afraid so, Ms. Ruby. Master Hand wouldn't be too happy if we came back late.
Weiss: (Confused) Master Hand? What in the world....
Daisy: It's basically a talking hand who host the whole tournament.... it's best not to think too much about it.
Ruby: Thank you guys so much for dropping by here! And just know that once everything starts to calm down, you're all welcome to come back to visit.
Mario: Thank you and you are all welcome to come by and visit us whenever you like. (Gives Oscar a handshake) And it was nice to finally meet you in person, Oscar.
Oscar: Thank you, sir. It was nice to meet you guys too. Good luck on the tournament.
Ruby: W-w-wait!! Before you guys go, you think we could...sign us an autograph?
Mario: Why of course we can! Where do you want me to sign?
Ruby: (Smiles Brightly while bringing out her Crescent Rose in sniper mode) On my Crescent Rose please?
Yang: Hey, Mr. Luigi. You think give me an autograph too?
Luigi: Oh umm sure. Where you want me to sign it?
Yang: (Grins while showing him her metal arm) On my arm, please?
Luigi: (Surprised) Oh umm of course. Right away.
After a minute of autograph signing, Daisy begins to open up a portal in order to go to their universe.
Daisy: Mario! Weegie! Come on! We gotta go!
Bowser: I swear, if any of us gets yelled at, I am blaming you idiots for this!
Daisy: Oh quit whining and go in already.
Bowser: (Grumbles inside of his breath while walking into the portal)
Mario: (Bid his farewell while walking towards the portal with his brother) So long, everyone! And good luck on your quest on stopping Salem!
Ruby: (Waving Goodbye) Bye, Mario! Thanks for the visit!!
Yang: (Waving Goodbye) Keep being awesome, you guys!!
Oscar: (Waving Goodbye) It was nice meeting you guys!
As the portal closes in, Ruby and the gang decided to walk back to their apartment and call it a night. While the Mario Bros, Princess of Sarasaland, and the Koopa King's visit was the most random moment they've ever encountered so far, it was still great to meet all of them in person. But now all of that out of the way, our five heroes could get back to what's more important. That is to find a way to defeat Salem and save their world from her wrath.
