Rough design of my civilian version of Spider-Clown. Jeanette “Nettie” Baccay is a normal Filipina-American woman living in HaHarlem. Basically, she lives in a surreal version of normal reality in which there is “emotion police,” where you are prosecuted for showing any extreme emotion (that’s a lot of lore I’ll expand on later).

Nettie is a former teacher who left her career out of disgust for the increasingly dystopian state of the education system (reality parallels <33). Now, Nettie works as a balloon maker for parties. Her career isn’t necessarily smiled upon, but it is not yet illegal. Therefore, her balloon-making business is pretty hush hush at the moment…not that her business gets many patrons, anyway. Many parents don’t want to take chances with the emotion police.

The logo on her balloon pump, “Funtyme Inc.,” is a disturbing corporation that manufactures all legal toys and games in HaHarlem. They are designed specifically not to bring too much joy, thus reducing emotions in children.

im relistening to TMA and ive realized how nicely it could work as an AU for scryption.. the power struggle between the entities trying to reshape the world to their liking is very reminiscent of the scrybes trying to take control & alter the game & all the endless cycles of torture and everything lol
