page 538 - wouldn't a place in the mountains be nice? Not to remove myself from society. I hate being removed from society. Just a place to go and meditate on things. Capitalism. Think about what it is, how it hurts the planet and people, and maybe how it can be changed. Or burned to the ground, depending.
And an extra quonset hut for friends.

Project Statement
Temporary presence in architectural spaces
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I get to hang my pieces in the same corridor that I’ve been drawing and painting, which I'm extremely happy about because the space gives context to the images I've made.
My project is about temporary presence in architectural spaces. The location is important because now when a viewer stops in the corridor to look at my art, they become a participant, in a way. They can see themselves fit into my drawings.

I like how the collection looks busy and bustling with people, like how the corridor feels. I experimented with overlapping, especially with the transparent paper, and I really like the overall result.
The sketchy, fluid drawings of people contrast with the structured, refined drawings of the architecture. This symbolizes how the fleeting presence of people comes and goes, it's always changing, while the architectural space stays the same.
I sat in the windowsill in the corridor today and did some more life drawings to fill the gaps on the wall. I will keep adding to it. This way the people who linger in the hallway will become part of the work.
I liked studying how people come and go, and I liked taking a closer look at the architecture of the college.

temporary brief : (1/11/2022)
these are sketches based off of the previous photos I have taken from king johns castle, I wanted to draw out certain pieces, so I could get an idea of the textures and make of the outside of the castle wall. later on in the week, I want to go to the castle its self and get more research done within the inside, as well as made get wall rubbings of the textures of the wooden door and brickwork

In Bristol between the 4th & the 14th of August 2022, the Daedalum Luminarium by Architects of Air is one of seven luminaria constructed of modular inflatable sections, strung together into a series of tunnels and chambers into which natural sunlight filters through tinted transparent pieces of fabric, creating an ambient environment riotous with colour. This particular luminarium was inspired by sacred architecture, with beautiful traditional patterns, especially in the main dome inspired by the ceiling of the Pantheon in Rome, showing just how beautifully traditional detailing can form the inspiration behind architecture that is nevertheless a unique expression of creativity in its own right. https://www.instagram.com/p/ChQYT9oD8qH/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
