i saw this gorgeous fanart by rachel j russon, with the caption “elend venture reading at the ball”, and i was like “🤨 HELLO CUTE PERSIAN NAME? AND HE’S READING?? AT A BALL???” and pretty much fell in love with the idea of this man who i didn’t even know was an actual character. (call me biased, but i see arab name, i click).

This actually has two different answers depending on the medium but I’m going to go with the mini series of Such A Time As This aka Jewish Anne Boleyn. I don’t know who I would cast (if anyone knows any Persian Jewish actors for Anne I would love to know so then I can make some specific self indulgent graphics) but I do know how I would structure it (eight-ten episodes). And that it would be released over Purim.

The creative team (writers, producers, costumers) is entirely Jewish/Mizrahi Jewish.

(Listen if I could age some actors back and you know do it, I would love to see the OT3 verse on screen though).

Not only did Clare probably give the green light to Cassandra Jean to whitewash Cordelia, she also openly adds clearly white readhead chicks to her Pinterest tlh board. AND WHITE MODELS FOR ALASTAIR.

Like, I get it iranian red heads are very rare and you clearly believe that Cordelia’s most important physical trait is her (unrealistically bright) red hair. But there’s a large difference between wine color and downright carrot color. That orangy tone is clearly unachievable for Cordelia if she’s just “enhancing” her “natural” dark wine hair. And also it’s clearly a white trait. I know those photos are just for inspiration but if you’re inspiring yourself with those white models to write a POV character lady 👀

But then there’s Alastair’s case. Out of three models she tagged as Alastair in her board, two are white...two are white. And there’s no excuse like Cordelia’s cause these dudes are not even blonde (maybe she would say something like she needed inspo to write blonde dye! Alastair look me in the eye and tell me she wouldn’t say something like that). I don’t even know what to say. Even if you tell me she might have added those before she magically decided to change their race, knowing fans take a look at her boards she should have deleted them.

i tried to find out when the cordelia's flower card came out, but i didn't find anything, so maybe jean made it before cassandra had decided to write cordelia as half-persian, except that if that was really the case, then cc should just stop using that card and let it die. i don't see the things cc adds on her pinterest, but i did it now just to see what you were talking about and i- as @doitforthecarstairs said a few days ago, if cc has a problem finding good reference pics for cordelia and usually pins white redheads/brown skinned dark-haired models on her cordelia's bolder, than it's pretty obvious where the issue is. she gave cordelia one of the whitest traits she could and doesn't blink an eye before promoting white-washed cordelia fanart (remember when she mistook tessa for cordelia?).

as for alastair, i saw one of her face claims on pinterest and that was enough for me. the issue seem to have rubbed off on the fandom too. @littlx-songbxrd had the displeasure to go through fanmade face claims for alastair just to find out that all of them consist in white boys. i know that finding models/pics to fancast as alastair can be difficult, but if you can't do it, don't cast a white or white-passing model just because you feel that one is better than none, please.

to sum it up, i just hate how she keeps promoting white-washed fanart/face claims and the implications this can have on the poc on this fandom. i rlly wished she could think twice before doing this so carelessly.

Aziraphale scratches at the side of his face, an errant tickle that needs seeing to.  Sees the second hand tick on his pocket watch, counting down the seconds and minutes closer to half past five.

He leans against the desk in the study, light casting long shadows as the sun was starting to dip.  Orange glow falling over the Persian rug, the mahogany desk, the dust motes drifting through the air.  An eerie sort of silence.  Not uncomfortable, but not peaceful either.  A silence of anticipation, possibly of anxiousness.  He checked his watch again.  Five twenty-seven.  Three minutes until his visitor.

Aziraphale swallows heavily, willing his pulse to calm down.  They don’t do this sort of thing often, too dangerous.  Too many eyes, from above and below, at the best of times.  It’s been easier, here carrying on and raising Warlock — Heaven and Hell are both busy with their own preparations for the End and the close proximity is a given.  No one even bats an eye.

He checks his watch again.  Five twenty-nine.

Maybe he isn’t coming.  Maybe he changed his mind about this.  It’s always been too dangerous, after all.  After all, it hasn’t been all that long since Aziraphale had him in the garden shed, back when he’d gone by Ashtoreth.  They wait decades, sometimes centuries, between these moments.  

But Crowley’s voice is still echoing in his head.  He can still see him leaning in, whispering.  “Five thirty, I’ll be here.”  Crowley says it differently, when this is what he wants.  Puts a hint of temptation behind it.  Not enough for Aziraphale to succumb, never enough for that.  Just enough to give him the option.  Just enough to entice that arousal to pool in his stomach.  Just enough for him to know that it’s an offer.  

That Crowley is on offer.

The door creaks open and Aziraphale smiles despite himself.  Crowley looks for all the world nonplussed, but Aziraphale catches the anxious fiddling with his cufflinks.  The shuffle to his step.  The nerves that dance like lightning just under the surface of him.  Aziraphale has always seen these things Crowley tries to hide.

Aziraphale perches himself on top of the desk as Crowley comes closer, neither of them daring to speak.  Those long, gentle, and purposeful fingers come to rest on Aziraphale’s knees.  That thin and lanky frame taking its place between Aziraphale’s legs.  He’d like to keep Crowley there, he thinks.  He fits there so well, like he belongs there.  But that’s so true of everything, really.  Crowley fits neatly into his life in every way.  The spaces between their fingers, the Chesterfield in the back of the bookshop, and here, between his legs, coasting a gentle and tentative touch up the angel’s thighs.

“Mr. Cortese,” Crowley says, breathless already.  Aziraphale has told him to be careful before, lest this hedonist angel get an ego about how much he’s able to affect him.

“Mr. Harrison,” Aziraphale counters, fingers drifting over the knot of Crowley’s tie, “did you have some business with me today that I’ve forgotten?”

KND-Pokémon Crossover

Ok, so I am very fond of crossover, and Pokémon being one of my favorite video game, I had for a while the idea to draw Sector V with their Pokémon team. I tried to match the Pokémon with each characters' personalities (i tried) : I will also say why I chose some of the Pokémon. For the kids, I wanted to give them unelvoved pokémon to keep the idea they're still kids (babies Pokémon/pre-evolutions). Numbuh 1 : -Charmander, being the leader, he deserves to get a starter Pokémon and i think Charmander is the best choice (also see more below) -Vulpix, because it's cute and why not -Fletching, everyone needs a flying type pokémon in his/her team -Abra, a psychic type pokemon that reminds me of Numbuh 1, don't ask why, it just does (also see more below) -Eevee, because I wanted to -Seel, because I'm a douche and wanted to give the character a pokémon that reminds their transformation into animals in Operation : G.R.A.D.U.AT.E.S. Numbuh 2 : -Munchlax, because he eats a lot -Skarmory, because steel/flying type is totally Numbuh 2 -Rufflet, because a baby eagle for our american kid suits him good -Starly, because more flying type ! (since Numbuh 2 like to pilot) -Aron, because some diversity, still a steel type because 2x4 tech -Hippopotas, because reference to Operation : G.R.A.D.U.AT.E.S. Numbuh 5 : -Vanillite, as a reference to the fourth flavour -Dratini, because it's freaking cute and majestic and Numbuh 5 deserves such a pokémon -Sneasel, because she is a stealth expert and sneaky, plus it looks cool -Rockruff, as a reference to her transformation as a weredog (Rockruff can evolve into Lycanroc, werewolf-like pokémon) -Lapras, because it's majestic just like Numbuh 5 -Deerling, because just like Numbuh 3 I couldn't find a better pokémon that looks like a gazelle, so yeah.... Delightful Children : -Dugtrio alolan form, because I think it's kinda obvious (immediatly thought of them when the pokémon form was released xD) -Magneton -Weezing -Exeggutor -Klingklang -Hydreigon ............. Yeah, their pokémons have more than one head, because you know.... They are always a group. Father : -Mega Charizard X, because I can't deny him a fire/dragon Pokémon, can I ? Also, the final stage of the same starter pokémon as Numbuh 1, them being related and stuff -Houndoom, because it suits Father perfectly -Incineroar, because he's a villain, screw the rules, he gets another starter. -Pyroar, because based on a lion, and a lion is the king/ruler of the jungle, I think it goes with Father's personality -Magmortar, because FIRE, BABY!!! -Liepard, because it's the closest pokémon to a panther, reference to Operation : G.R.A.D.U.A.T.E.S. (yes, i know it's actually a leopard, but we don't have a panther pokémon. Incineroar is more of a tiger than anything else) Monty : -Victini, as a reference to his victory against Grandfather (Victini is the victory Pokémon) fire/psychic type -Serebii, Because why not giving him legendaries pokémon ? grass/psychic type -Manaphy, Because why not giving him legendaries pokémon ? water type -Jirachi, Because why not giving him legendaries pokémon ? steel/psychic type -Mew, Because why not giving him legendaries pokémon ? psychic type -Type:Null, in french, that pokémon is name Type:0, as in zero, so Numbuh 0 gets Type:0 (it's kinda lame, I know, but I was running out of ideas) Numbuh 362 : -Riolu, because it's cute and goes with Rachel's fighting abilities -Meditite, same as above -Ralts, because why not, i think it suits her -Horsea, same as above -Lunatone, because she's the soopreme leader from the MOONBASE -Chimchar, because as soopreme leader she gets a starter : as a reference to her transformation into a monkey in Operation : G.R.A.D.U.A.T.E.S. and since it can evolve into a fire/FIGTING type, it's totally the perfect choice for her Numbuh 60 : -Snorunt -Spheal -Snover -Glaceon -Cubchoo -Cryogonal Heh, most of his Pokémon are ice type... what a coincidence... Numbuh 86 : -Nidoran female -Vullaby -Froslass -Blissey, as a reference to her old job as a medic -Smoochum -Growlithe, >figures....< As you can see, her Pokémon are only female because she hates boys. Her growlithe is also a female. Cree : -Persian -Gardevoir -Medicham -Lopunny -Meowstick -Zororark, because it can change apparences (B.R.A. tech reference) Other than that, I think it suits Cree, but I can be wrong. Chad : -Passimian -Machoke -Rhydon -Swellow -Bisharp -Luxray Because they all look cool for Chad ! Grandfather : -Mega Alakazam, because it reminds me of Grandfather. Also, I wanted the final form of a Pokémon that Numbuh 1 has, because they are related. Is it necessary? Maybe not, but here it is anyway -Hypno, because he brainwashed everyone -Chandelure, because it's creepy, just like Grandfather -Relicanthe, because it's almost a fossile Pokémon and Grandfather is reaaally old -Tyrantrum, same as above -Murkrow, because I wanted him to have a dark type Pokémon And that's it, folks ! I didn't think more for others characters because it's kinda hard to make all of these pokémon teams. When I wrote "it suits perfectly the character", it's only my opinion, it's okay if you don't agree with me : it is how I see the characters. last movie I watched: room in rome, which I didn’t expect to be good but turned out to be really brilliant. seeing as my last lesbian movie experience was la vie d’adèle (aka blue is the warmest colour) I was a bit apprehensive that this film which basically has the two women naked for what seems like the entire duration of the film would be just fetishised straight-male shit but NO it was amazing and the characters were developed so wonderfully and the setting was used so wonderfully, anyway I would totally recommend this film to anyone and everyone

last song I listened to: “ubu” by methyl ethel; discovered this last night and it’s so good??? it’s kinda electropoppy and effervescent, the band is from perth (wtf perth? this hole is producing some good shit) also the lead singer has this amazingly effeminate voice, and I was literally shocked to find out he was male anyway yeah go listen to it here
