Oh no, I'm having one of my occasional "what was I watching this time last year" moments, and it usually turns out to be something terrible, so let's see...oh, yep! I was just starting Species, a series I once described as "Christian Reformed tentacle porn".
Speaking of Hashtag Franchise Binge 2k21, there were, of course, series that I intentionally didn't add to the list, and one of them was The Amityville Horror, as a whole, because I couldn't figure out what the fuck was happening with...all of that. But now I can pick and choose, and I have a handy category on the current list called "original vs. remake" and I can just do those. And not have to deal with canon and spinoffs and direct-to-video whatnot.
(Also, back to the one-two punch of 70s horror (my beloved) and 2000s horror (derogatory) which is always fun! It's been awhile!)
The Amityville Horror (1979)
No way, Josh Brolin's hot dad is in this one? Nice.

Same rule as my early 80s horror in not having the ‘typical’ big name franchises that always sweep (I know half of you are lying when you pick them I just know-)
