They're just characters who've been living in my head rent free. Lil' timeline of major events:

-1980: Rafael is born in Monaco, January 29th. -1984: Rafael receives his first custom-made violin and begins lessons. -1987: Magritte is born in Timmins, Ontario, August 12th -1988: Rafael's uncle, Guillaume, quits his role at Ephrem Records and leaves Monaco. -1992-1997: The peak years following Rafael's rise to becoming an internationally recognized child performer, bringing the Ephrem Records label into popular culture. Raf begins attendance at Juilliard during the autumn of 1997. -1999: Magritte buys her first musical instrument (Yamaha PSS-270). -2001: Rafael graduates Juilliard with a bachelor's of music. -2002: Rafael reaches out to his uncle in Vancouver and moves in with him the same year. Begins his job at Hi-Note Studio as a sound engineer. -2003: Rafael receives his formal diagnosis of (complex)post traumatic stress disorder and paranoid personality disorder. i think i just love the idea of the different universes with their like, styles???

like how Gwen's is totally watercolor and Hobie's is all scrapbookish punk n newspaper, y'know???? and, of course, Miles and Pavitr's are both more "normal" but they still have that... you know... v i b e... they're both normal but they have elements that make it their own. Like how Pavitr's universe is mainly super warm colors?

anyways this got me thinking y'know how it's super obvious Hobie has a different universe style?? not so much for Gwen because hers is a little different, but with the whole. changing skin, the OUTLINE, it's very obvious

I think it'd be super cool if in Hobie's universe, it's kind of like the opposite for anybody who's not from it? They have their own like, radius of... their own dimension???

I'm only comparing this to Hobie's dimension, it's very obvious none of this would happen in CANON so I'm literally just spitballing. Also because Hobie is the only one with the outline and funny overlay thing, and it'd be fun to play around with the other three's possible like,,, vibe!!

Gwen would leave like, imprints of watercolor? like dabbing it on a piece of paper, leaving color that dries out back to normal over time?? it would bleed into the world around her, it might even mimic her emotions with the color!

If she was upset it would be harsh, spread more, it would come out in spiked reds and blacks?

happy would seep in a lot more subtly, and cover a lot more space, but you wouldn't realize how much room it's taking up just because it's so slow to take it up and really is only at about.. idk, 20% opacity, slowly builds up the happier she gets? it would be more visible in puddles, just like with normal watercolor (Compared to anger, which would be very in-your-face and obvious)

It would rely a lot on her emotions, methinks, the stronger they are, the more visible the color!

Miles would have a sketchy, drawing-like atmosphere to him, kind of like what you can see on the spot y'know? and, since the spot came from Miles' dimension, I think it makes sense!

It would be less noticeable, but the things he interacts with would probably turn into a slightly stylized version of itself? A cup he holds or drinks from wouldn't change DRAMATICALLY, but it might copy his look and have sketch-like lines around it. Nothing huge, but enough that you can tell what he's touched in the past few minutes/hours

Pavitr would have a similar vibe to Gwen's, but with warm colors instead! His effect wouldn't change with emotions like hers, but it would probably bleed in the same way as hers. He would leave behind trails of warm oranges and yellows wherever he goes and leaving it behind on what he touches. He wouldn't notice this, but it would be veeery obvious to Hobie or anybody from his dimension.

Actually, I think the way that we can spot Hobie because of his differences in outline/radius effect would highly apply to them in his dimension! Everybody in Hobie's world can CLEARLY tell that Gwen, Miles and Pav aren't from there, and while the common person might not recognize they're from another universe, they might get the same feeling as if you were seeing like.. a skinwalker, or something. They're human, but it doesn't feel like it.

ANYWAYS back to Pavitr

He has a warm, cozy vibe, I think unlike the others his can seep more into emotions, I think he's an empathetic person and that melts into his little area effect. if he's super happy or excited about something the people around him get a tiny bit happier too!! when he's sad (and it's rly hard to make him sad bc this boy is POSITIVE THINKER #1) his colors get a bit colder, but I don't think they would affect other people like his happy ones do, honestly just SEEING such a normally happy guy so sad would do enough to ur mood than some radius effect lol

ANYWAYS that's just a lil thought. they are silly. and this is going into my ideas folder. have a good one n remember to drink water

- Theres three ways she'd find out about you.

- one, you were working against her, you were working WITH her or you were one of the bunny girls, aka working under her.

- In every case of these you'd never find out anything BEFORE she straight up tells you.

- Because she basically flirts with every girl she fights against or even sees and the flirting would triple if you were one of the bunny girls.

- and again in every case of these she'd be the first one to even hint at anything becoming serious between you two.

- Which would be extremely hard to even catch onto.

- She'd be extra about the way she confesses to you, wouldn't go all out with it but wouldn't just "I love you" randomly.

- She'd have built up with it.

Relationship

- If you were working against her before then obviously you'd be pulled into the medici business, probably under Dahlia but who minds that, she'd treat you the best obviously.

- If you were just in general working with her, much wouldn't change but the fact she wants to spend more time around you.

- And if you were one of the bunny girls pretty much nothing would change.

- Dahlia's other bunny girls wouldn't really get jealous since they're all in a pretend realitionship with Dahlia already so they don't worry about it.

- She'd keep you very close to her at almost all times, she enjoys bloodshed but only when it isn't YOUR blood.

- Would get horny seeing you fight or kill anyone lol.

- Would also share her "Apple juice" with you.

- She'd definitely write you love letters even if she was with you the whole day.

- She steals you expensive jewels and other other stuff from her jobs because she thought they'd fit you well.

- Would love it if you became even more included in the medici business.

- She thinks it's more fun working if you're with her.

- Your mere presence keeps her extremely entertained, you must be interesting to have caught her eye.

- Would occur if you were high on morals.

- And if you didn't appreciate bloodshed.

- A break-up wouldn't happen if you just suddenly became boring, Dahlia takes a loong time choosing whose lucky enough for her love.

- 1. You have high morals (or pretty much any at all)

- 2. You weren't as "crazy" as her.

like,,,, maybe SEEDS was a cutting edge tech company from forever ago. maybe vash and knives are still immortal, and so when the giant rich company that raised them (experimentation? adoption? who knows.) went under after a massive fire, vash and nai saverem inherit everything. but it's locked away until they turn 18 because idk bank stuff or something, so they're functionality broke, homeless orphans for a while. maybe vash lost his arm in the fire or something. maybe the sold it for parts idk.

little genius babies become the only plant engineers in the world overnight, with plants having been a new cutting edge technology only in development by the seeds corporation. baby nai starts inventing stuff and maybe becomes a mob/cult boss or something and drags them out of poverty.

nai wants to get back to the tech industry luxury and rebuild, vash has fallen in love with humanity and life and wants to live with the people and be part of society.

they grow up. nais doing some sketchy stuff and is now the head of his own company. vash is,,, idk college maybe? couch surfing? NO I GOT IT! HES LIVING OUT OF A VAN!!! for fun, but also because it's how he grew up and he feels most at home on the road not in the big empty house where nai is never home.

nai is very exasperated by his brothers lifestyle choices, but also very over protective, so he's always sending vash fancy expensive things and making sure vash has connections wherever he goes.

also!! vash wasn't/isn't oblivious to nais illegal dealings. he helped him run the mob for years when they were younger, but never liked the violent side of it

he mostly delt with like, maintaining relationships between smaller local gangs and organizations in other cities, all of whom adore the funky lil baby who would come visit them and consult on their crimes

so yeah. rich people wanna be the saverems, and crimy broke people love them! (because of course any mob partially run by vash would take care of the community). nai makes a point of bringing people from his illegal buissness into his fully legal and very profitable professional one, mostly at vash's request and recommendation.

after a while of this, vash is like "I wanna see the world!! :D".

nai is very worried about this. his baby brother is leaving the nest!!! nai knows how dangerous the world is, heck, he runs half the danger! but vash is stubborn AF so he goes on tour.

probably ends up meeting Meryl and wolfwood and Roberto and/or Milly somewhere along the line, all of whom are very confused about the rich tech mogul who lives in a van and eats packaged ramen with wagyu beef. Meryl smells a story. Roberto smells a rat. wolfwood is a simp.

shenanigans ensue.

throw in a little livio tried to steal from one of nais operations, and to work it off wolfwood took the fall and now has to babysit vash.

nai looked at wolfwood and was like "ah yes, protective big brother, knows how to do hard things for the greater good. he will be good to teach vash the importance of sacrifice" or something, but then on their first time meeting wolfwood watched vash bribe a cop, threaten a mob boss, and inhale a whole box of really shitty gas station donuts within like 2 hours and was head over heels immediately.

at some point, nai gets kidnapped or something and is freaking out about who will look after vash now, only for vash to come in and save the day really epically

nai remains in denial and sobs all over him.

nai also totally like, flys his private jet out to wherever vash is when he's having a bad day because he's a fraud and is actually just as big of a baby as vash is

after wolfwood and vash get over their inevitable idiots to lovers arc, wolfwood will randomly wake up on the floor of their little van bed to find that nai kicked him out in the middle of the night with no warning that he was gonna show up

nai sends them anniversary or holiday gifts and vash gets like, a truckload of super expensive currated stuff and wolfwood gets a handful of Cheerios nai found a pigeon eating on the subway that's shaped like a middle finger or something

or like, a half eaten hotpocket

motherfucker would give wolfwood a half eaten cup of instant noodles

or just the empty styrofoam cup which nai saw a pigeon eating, it reminded him of wolfwood, so he went over to personally wrestle the cup away from the winged rat. in a buissness suit. in the middle of the day. it was videoed, which then went viral.

Akutsu-Aoi Childhood Friends AU ✨

I saw a potential found family relationship and ran with it. Here are some headcanons:

Aoi called Akutsu 'nii-san' (it's cute, idc, they're kids). Akutsu's basically like a second older brother to him.

Akutsu's first home is near Aoi's mom's restaurant-bar, sea-side.

They moved away when Akutsu's in late elementary or early middle school, to a downtown city.

Akutsu's mother frequently goes to the bar Aoi's mom owns and brought Akutsu there too while she drinks, which prompts him to befriends the Aoi brothers and plays football together with him.

When I made this au I didn't realized that SHUN IS ONLY A YEAR OLDER THAN AOI?? (I though he's at least 3 years older) Which was why the original idea was Shun already in high school so he didn't really play with Akutsu as much as Aoi. Akutsu and him have a best friend relationship though.

Aoi used to go to Akutsu's house and accompany him there because Akutsu's mother was never around and Aoi's mom is busy.

Aoi cried for days when he can't find Akutsu.

His new home was shitty, it's cold since it's not near the sea, close to a red light district, and the only 'friends' he could find were older street kids whose also struggling to survive.

Akutsu totally hinted at Fukuda to come back for Aoi. But without telling him who's who since he has trust in Aoi to catch Furkuda's eyes, plus, he's a petty person so he's line of thought is probably, 'If Aoi's not outstanding enough after I gave him all this helping hand then it's his fault'.

Their relationship is the same, it's rough since they haven't met in so many years. It's just that Aoi is braver with an Akutsu that he's familiar with. Akutsu here is sort of a tsundere lmao. So their relationship are more like quarreling siblings honestly.

I know 'Akutsu' is his real surname, but in this au I made it his foster's surname.

Akutsu won't be too hostile with Aoi and there'll be no anger clad insecurities (well, maybe it can, for a lil bit of angst >:3)

is mad when people say him and Aoi look nothing alike but offended when people say they looked alike.

had a bit of a reality attack when he realized how much his height differs from Aoi now.

Akutsu would fake pretend he doesn't care about his pseudo-sibling all he wants but he'll secretly joins whenever the other teammates talks about 'annoying baby siblings'.

Aoi's mum was worried when the boy with the sketchy parent who used to play with her kids suddenly disappeared, but was so relieved she found Akutsu when she watched Aoi's game that she cried.

Ashlee is an Octoling with a sketchy life, who lives with her younger sister.

She loves motorcycles and working on them, so it's no surprise that she's a motorcycle mechanic. She takes jobs on the side to work on other peoples bikes, be it repairs, creations, tune-ups, etc.

She also has a bit of a sweet tooth for suckers, with cherry being her favorite flavor.

Her "Blue-Ringed Octopus" look is merely just for show/intimidation. Plus she just really likes the style.

Her and her family were part of the Octarian army. Her parents were not the best at all, what with the frequent emotional abuse, gaslighting and the like. Her and her sister kept having to deal with both the army and homelife difficulties. That is until she ran away, which then left her younger sister to deal with the issues solo. She hated the fact that she left her there on her own, but she couldn't stand it there anymore. Thankfully, a few years later, she managed to get her out of there and back to her house on the surface.

She is also part of a biker gang. It happened not too long after she first escaped to the surface. She stood her ground real well against a gang that was attacking her, and they eventually offered to let her join. Seeing that she didn't really have anywhere else to go, she accepted, on the terms that they don't let her younger sister ever get involved. Now they're practically a second family to her, all while her younger sister is unaware of this.

After the events of Return of the Mammalians, her sister's best friend (and her lil' buddy) live with her at her home.

Weapon of choice: Splatana Stampers.

ok SO i went and got out Most of my knives (i remembered I have a nonbinary knife only after i took the photos & also idk where it is currently. just imagine all these plus a nonbinary flag knife ok? ok)

HERE ^ is the most of them, minus that nonbinary knife. look at that fuckin mess. 32 shown here (i think) plus my nonbinary knife makes 33 blades (minus cooking knives, i dont count those for these purposes)(also counting the swiss army knife as only 1 bc lol)

& some explanations for them! gonna put these under a readmore bc it got Kinda long on accident whoops. Read Ahead if u wanna see me nerd out about my knife collection.

STARTING WITH my big ones.

my spear (gifted to me), my cane sword (from anime convention), my shitty $20 sword (also from anime convention. low quality but cool as hell), my teal mini sword + matching throwing knives (from online), my decorative axe (from a local store), my twin blades (my sharpest blades, theyre actually kinda scary how sharp they are, but i love them bc of it. from online), red saber (from online),

ANDDDDDDDDDDDD my favorite hefty bitch of a machete that i sleep with in my bed frame on the very right (inherited from my grandpa bc i was the first one who spotted it at Family Claiming Day)(this thing really is as long as my leg & much heavier than Any of the rest of the blades pictured here. i love it)

another view of the blades so u can better see how long they are. the big boys. they're lovely. 2nd heaviest blade is the cane sword when it's in its cane, mostly bc that handle has some Heft. tbh id feel safer using it as a bludgeoning weapon than a stabbing weapon, but having a cane sword is just plain cool

i have a lot of pocket knives. starting from the top left: golden pocket knife (from online), rainbow dragon (from online), rainbow HEFTY boy (heaviest pocket knife, from online), spider knife (from online), stiletto jade (from online), pathetic army boy (from local store, this knife has NO redeeming qualities, but it's mine <3), black stiletto (from local store), plain dagger man (from online), my damascus steel knife (was a gift, probably my singular most expensive knife. fancy boy), Dull Dagger Man (first blade i ever bought, from anime convention)

& for bottom row: teeny black knife (first pocket knife i owned, gift from my dad), lil rainbow knife (from local store), plain steel knife (from sketchy shop in gatlinburg + one of my Favorite knives), green dragon knife (from online, a real beaut), triple throwing knives (also from same sketchy shop in gatlinburg), the baby throwing knives again from the Big Boys pic but i included them again bc they r so teeny tiny, my keychain key blade (from online), swiss army knife (from online), & the pair of claw keychain baldes (from online)

many blades, many stories, so little time. theyre great tho.

SOME FOCUSES:

^ these are all my spring-assisted knives, sorted from worst feel to best feel to open. based on quickness, ease, & general satisfaction. leftmost is leftmost bc i didnt even Know it was spring assisted, bc it doesnt have a nice lil tab on the back to press. no u gotta press on one of the rungs. but once u do it Does spring open, so i included it. next 3 are just Average in feel (these 3 are sibling blades anyways, nice of them to be together). jade stiletto is smooth and quick, nice to open. Hefty Boy rainbow has some THUNK to it when i open it. like that babey's got PURPOSE to it. added to the general size of it & it's just pretty great. AND THEN MY TWO FAVS, green dragon is a perfect beautiful knife & feels very great to open. and then Steel Sketchy Knife aka my 2nd pocket knife & first i bought for myself. it looks plain in comparison to the others, but she's anything But. quick, light, Sharp. it has the Best feel to open, bc it's just a fast SHHK. probably my knife that's seen the most use (aside from my small black knife) just bc of how great it feels to open. i love that knife so much for Real.

& the final highlight, somewhat related, are the knives I actually use the most in my daily life!

on the left are the knives I keep in my bag by default, & thus the ones I carry with me Everywhere i go. small black pocket knife bc she's Ol' Faithful, & a pretty lowkey knife for basic tasks when I dont wanna raise any eyebrows lol. silver knife bc as previously stated i Love using it so much. i take it out when i gotta breakdown a lot of boxes at work, & it Never disappoints. small rainbow keychain key knife bc it's cute & i like to keep it on my keychain. & swiss army knife bc Obviously im gonna keep the swiss army knife in my bag for if i need an emergency tool.

on the right are the three knives I keep out in my apartment. black stiletto lives on my bathroom counter, for bathroom knife needs. green stiletto i keep on my table next to where I hang out in my bedroom, for any couch time needs. & then green dragon beaut camps out on top of some shelves by my front door bc it's Great for opening boxes, aka something I will do for packages I receive after pulling them in the front door. it works for me.

all the rest of my knives live either in a box (for small ones) or my closet (for big ones). i may have a lot of knives, but somehow I never feel like i have enough. i just love collecting them so much <3

I'm so happy dream wants to meet tommy at twitch con like he said he expects too but what I'm confsued about is how tommy said he wasnt gonna meet dream (yet he had plans before? and he said florida is too far away yet hes gonna come to america) and he said to a dono that he doesnt know whos going to twitch con like im lost

i hope dream just finds him at twitch con and they meet that way cuz otherwise I have no idea how its gonna go down. yeah it's likely they don't know the other is there. also likely that they know but have busy schedules/don't have any overlap with where they are at what time, which makes it hard to meet. less likely but still possible is that they're going through a rough patch rn? but it's not worth the speculation energy to worry abt smth that is unlikely to be a problem.

Okay SO I do have a few things!! Most of these are old and a lil messy/outdated, so I'm really hoping to whip out a bunch of new stuff soon, but!! I've got my two protagonists, Iso (I-20) and Aerani--

[These are Old outfit designs, I redesigned them sorta recently but haven't finished a drawing of them, sobs] I first drew Aerani in like, 2016 I think? and Iso followed not long after! Iso is a bunny chimera, so he's got big silly ears, wahoo. Chimeras have identification codes to keep track of like, when they were created, and Iso's is I-20: Chimera Generation I, Specimen Number 20. Aerani gave him the nickname Iso <3

Here was Iso in like. 2017? 2018? idk but it was ages ago. He's changed quite a bit, mostly bc I would Constantly misplace sketchbooks and Constantly forget exactly what things looked like lksad;f

I was Nervous about jumping straight into making smth about them, because I feel like I need wayyyy more practice to be able to tell the story I really wanna tell, so I ended up scooping up my dorky purple merchant Kalamari like 'you know what sure, you can be the protagonist of my practice project and it will be Silly As Hell'. I call my main Eventual Goal 'Quote Unquote Quest', so Kalamari's adventure I'm calling 'Quote Unquote Quest Negative One', since it becomes before the main thing! Aerani will be in that practice project as a side character, bc he's Glass's little brother, but Iso won't be

Also, please witness Aerani's pet, a squishy jello-like blob he calls a frog. It is absolutely not a frog. It sits on his head a lot and makes squeaky lil noises

Here's another chimera! She's much older than Iso, from gen F! The only one left from gen F actually. She calls herself Fa, and she doesn't like to talk, she just hangs out by a pond all day to watch the fish

This is OLD so I'm def gonna redraw it soon, but here's one of my antagonists! They by the name Scratch, and they're sort of. the opposite of Kalamari. I have So Much I wanna draw abt them omg,,

While I do like their color palette, I'm gonnadesign one to match. everyone else. The colors I wanna use for this project (that might eventually change ofc) are brown, orange, golden yellow, magenta, a slightly more purple magenta, violet, indigo, and blueee, with Very Dark Blue and Very Light versions of the other colors for lines and junk. Basically Kalamari Colors ft. some extras to spice things up, since my silly littol practice project revolves around her and how he sees the world:

Everything is very saturated of course bc I'm. cannot and will not use desaturated colors. It's kind of like my chunky lineart-- I can try So Hard to make it thin, but that just doesn't look right to me and as I work woopsie everything is thick and I'm dying

Okay so personally since Marty was a designer in the scottsdale board we like thinking they designed a lot of voices or voice changers maybe. A set of these being random instruments.

So flash forward a bit after events of vvr2 except they're all just chilling in scottsdale bc Gavin said he had a backup

Marty decides to get Drip a good voice, one that works. Now, Drip has gotten used to being voiceless, silent, listening. But decides to atleast take a glance at whatever Marty's scrapped up.

And it just. Listens to most of them.

Then stop. A musical voice. Marty says those were just made as jokes, because who would want an instrument as a voice? They were the second least popular after all!

Drip would. So now our headcanon for Drip is musical notes being it's form of "speech".

Drip loves it, Gavin hates(dislikes in a somewhat joking way) it, Hernandez keeps asking Drip to be the background sounds of his ASMR.

ANON I LOVE YOU?? it's so okay and weirdly i was Just thinking about my kotsam ocs and their relationships yesterday bc i've been quietly plugging away at new more detailed oc pages behind the scenes and i just finished theirs

keep in mind it's been a WHILE since i played it myself (i've been considering a replay too) so this is liable to change over time and some of my memories are sketchy but !

josefin marc: (ariana & michael/julian & alexa) she's always gotten along super well with ariana and michael, she's a very helpful, affectionate & studious person which pretty much translates into Perfect Daughter Material. on an emotional level she's closer with her mother than her father because they'll talk more about personal issues and relationships vs her discussions with her father being more centered around school etc. but she has a pretty strong bond with both. out of the characters who are the biological kids of julian anderson she's probably the one least shaken by the revelation because it honestly just doesn't mean much to her, she was raised by ariana & michael and thus they are her parents in all the ways that matter

jinx bell: (isabella & lysander) she has a very light-hearted relationship with her mother, they're not super close in a 'confiding secrets and opening up to each other' sense and jinx is more likely to go to her friends with issues vs. her mother, but they have fun together and like to meet up occasionally to catch up and gossip a lil. she's not too sure how she feels about lysander yet, she's more offended by him leaving on her mother's behalf than her own, but she Is very amused by them rekindling their relationship and teases them a lot about it. she's not against the idea of welcoming lysander back into the family as long as he knows that if he ever pulls anything like that again she'll kick his ass

aries cox: (isabella & lysander) It's Complicated. their relationship isn't antagonistic at all, aries has a fierce loyalty to her mother and that's mutual, but she Is also very rebellious and chafes against authority which means there's been a lot of butting heads throughout the years. they'll usually bicker about at least one thing every time they see each other, but they'll bounce right back from it and there's no real hurt feelings from it, it's just how their relationship works at this point. unlike jinx, aries is very cynical towards lysander, she doesn't see him as family or her father at all and thinks if he's going to leave his ass should stay gone. part of that might just be that she doesn't think anyone's good enough for her mom, considering she heavily discourages her flirtations with the ambassador too

bee torres: (isabella & lysander) they're super super close. bee's best friend above anyone else is her mother. they only really had each other for most of her life, and that kicked off a lot of lil family traditions like baking together every saturday that they still participate in to this day (or at least did before bee had to leave for new magi). it's very very very rare that she'll choose anything for the holidays other than going home to see her mom, she genuinely enjoys spending time with her and wants to pack in as much of it as she can considering she doesn't get to live at home with her anymore most of the time. she doesn't mind lysander, she's open to him being back in her life if he wants to reconnect, though she personally is an Isabella/Ambassador shipper

autumn castella-cooke: (lucas) gets along with her father, but autumn's also very quiet and can be avoidant so neither of them find it easy to broach heavy topics with each other and they can be a little awkward if they try (think..... a slightly more lowkey version of bella and charlie swan). they have the kind of relationship where they don't really express affection but there's no doubt in either of their minds that it's there (though she Will always say she loves him and maybe drop a cheek kiss before she goes somewhere). finding out roxana was her mother was a bit of a mindfuck but after the initial few days she wasn't overly affected for kind of the same reasons as josefin, though she does take the step to add castella to her name for the sake of honouring that part of her lineage. she has no clue how to navigate deirdre being her grandmother yet and neither does deirdre, they just kind of talk Around the subject whenever they see each other and mutually ignore it being in the air between them

rome anderson-cain: (ariana & michael/julian & alexa) rome gets along with no one except cressida, jarrod & Sometimes dominic frankly. he's always been kind of a tough kid to raise, he's had anger issues since he was little and he's never quite understood consequences & social norms the way he should which means he's caused his fair share of trouble both at home and in school. ever since he was a teenager that only really grew and became resentment, even moreso after he found out about the supernatural and how much they'd been keeping from him. finding out julian is his biological father was actually kind of a lightbulb moment for him, because he'd always felt like something didn't click between him and his parents, like he just didn't have anything in common with them and he felt so apart from everyone else and now he finally has an answer that makes sense. on top of that his father turns out to be someone powerful and ambitious and that just piles on top of all his reasons to become part of frostbite because it's so clearly where he Should Be. he also feels like he finally understands where his talent for compulsion comes from because he refuses to just put that down to being a keeper

malachi bowen: (lucas) not unlike autumn, he's pretty private and stoic so they don't exactly have the kind of dynamic where they talk about Feelings and Boys. they spent, like, the cursory amount of time with each other while eating dinner every day and then it's Back To Malachi's Room to work on school shit. that said they do love & respect each other, malachi does enjoy telling lucas about everything he's working on and lucas will do his best to keep up and engage with him about it. malachi is also trying his best not to get in the way of his father & ebner even though it's A Little Strange for him because he's so used to work/school and family/home being very separate, he's genuinely pleased his dad has found some sort of happiness apart from him

cassis conner: (ariana & michael/julian & alexa) absolute pain in the ass kind of child who was constantly playing pranks on his parents as a kid. very talkative, very affectionate, very playful. they were always a close family, cass is very emotionally open and unabashed so they were very used to confiding in their family about absolutely anything that happened to be going on in their life. finding out about julian/alexa absolutely rocked his fuckin world, he became very paranoid and self-doubting and internalised a lot of fear about whether he'd take after julian and whether that blood relation meant anything about his future. which, y'know, didn't get better after julian killed both of them and cassis was completely unable to save them in time
