my favorite thing about babel is how nerdy the characters are,,,schoolwork is so fundamental to their existence that literally everything is homework to them. being a spy? covering up a murder?? overthrowing an imperialist empire??? haha yeah man its just like doing a big assignment

Say she is the loose light. Say she is the root. Say she ate at his table. Say she ate at all. Say she. Say she. Say she.

I discovered Murderbot Diaries this summer and I finished book five and six about a mouth ago (I was devastated).
So I tried to draw the main crew for fun !
I really like the way I drew Mensah and Ratthi. The other are okay, I struggled to draw Murderbot because I usually see them with the armor (yes I'm very lazy for imagine them), but sometimes I make an effort and it turns out to be inspired by Markus from DBH- (hate myself for that)
Anyway, hope you like it ! If I can I will try to draw more stuff about the book because it s so freaking good and I love it so much

Shoutout to Nova Artino and Adrien Everhartt for simultaneously embodying enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, and as far as Nova is concerned enemies to friends, THEN after Adrien finds out going back to enemies only to end up as lovers again.

Since I’ve seen the Percy Jackson and the Olympians, I’ve been thinking about reading the book I got years ago. I was tired, so I could only read the first chapter, but WOW it was great!
Sure, the show missed things and too fast paced in my opinion, but it was much better than the movies. I’m super excited for season 2!

I think "The Poppy War" by R.F. Kuang was the only (or one of the few) book I've read that portray rape very well.
It is violence, torture. Victims were called of public restrooms. It is vile and pure evil, it causes disgust, indignation and fear (whether for the characters or for himself).
There's no excuse. No poison or noble motive and sad past behind. Those men just saw their victims as less than a bug. Their own lives were insignificant compared to their majesty for them, who will tell their enemies then.
It's no use, if the work treats rape as something forgivable, justifiable or pornographic, for me the work deserves all the condemnation it will receive.

Currently reading 'Hell followed with us' and I was actually so shocked of how similar my mind is to Nicks. I have known for a year and a half now that I am autistic but damn, this is probably the most "aha" moment I've ever had. This felt so personal to me that I currently just sit on my bed and stair at the wall and write this to make it make sense. Like, damn, this feels like Andrew Joseph White just copyrighted my brain. Honestly, if I ever get asked again how my autism works, I'll just hand them my notes on this.
