🫀VENUS SIGN OBSERVATIONS PART 1.🫀

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE; Capricorn Venus, my love language is gifts since I’m a Taurus Venus and I know y’all can always match that energy. It really is all about the “little things” with them, they will go out of their way to do things for you but some people might overlook those acts of services and they can feel unappreciated which makes them kinda not want to do shit for you again. I love their reliability they always keep their word unless they’re have pisces placements i tend to notice but regardless this placement is just so attractive I see this in someone’s chart and automatically want to marry them!(especially if they have a Capricorn stellium)

Virgo venus/ 6th house venus; very picky in their partners they tend to have a very specific type, if it’s in the 6th house they tend to have very attractive bodies, they’re also more of an acts of Service person. They’re just very practical in relationships so although before getting in one they might try to find something to nitpick in their head even if it’s the most random thing like this is the sign I would say purposely tries to get the ick as a form of preventing themselves from committing but if they do commit to you then feel lucky because that means that any imperfection you might have they view as perfect in their own way, they accept you as you are since they are a very “realistic” sign I think they try to understand you rather than change you although they will harshly try to motivate you a little. Aquarius venus/11th house is ofc going to want a bestfriend in a relationship, they want to be super comfortable enough to be their authentic weird self that everyone has but Aquarius’s embrace it more. I love this placement as well because I know they’re not the type that has to constantly be talking to me and can give me my space so I can still feel like an individual rather than losing that completely in a relationship, but that doesn’t mean they’re not “loving or attentive” because they definitely are I know alot put up that nonchalant front but get them to be comfortable and feel safe with you and WATCH THE 360 they pull, they’re so cute and if you’re willing to wait till they can open up to you and peel back all 700 layers they have to them then you’ll see it was worth it. Leo venus; love to be shown off and to show off their partner, the constant compliments 24/7 they sometimes can be very corny though, if you want the type of guy to court you then go for a leo venus, I feel like they’re what we picture romance in the late 60s to be like, when they’re actual gentlemen, constantly buy you flowers, uplift you rather than “try to humble you” (unless they’re undeveloped), the type to write you love letters or long paragraphs expressing how much they adore you, they spoil you with gifts, will remember every order you make at each restaurant and surprise you with it, it’s so obvious when they like you so if you’re confused then they most likely don’t

Aries venus; this is me sidereal so I can see how I have these qualities as well, I love the chase and getting people to fall in love with me but once I got it I get kinda bored and want to find someone new to make fall in love with me it’s mostly cause I have commitment issues and I get scared of the responsibility that comes with an actual relationship but unless I really liked the person then I will stay but I only come to realize if I really liked them or not when I finally find out they like me back, just like a leo I love when you feed my ego with compliments, I can be very selfish when it comes to relationships with men although when I like a girl I love being more in my masculine energy pursing her and giving her the absolute most, I would really do anything for her. Munson Men headcanons <3

Description: Just some miscellaneous headcanons about my favorite father-son duo <3

Word Count: About 2k

CW: Swearing (I have a potty mouth, that’ll never change), Eddie and Wayne’s frugalness and sense of innovation are heavily inspired by my family’s supernatural ability to avoid spending their money at all costs, hints at the first half of Eddie’s childhood being less than stellar (to put it mildly), brief mention of Eddie’s dad.

A/N: Let me know if you guys would like me to write the origin story of the fantastic, dynamic duo that is Eddie and Wayne Munson!! I have so much lore about their pre-canon lives floating around in my little ole noggin.

The Munson’s have movie night on the first Monday night of every month. As unorthodox as it may be to stay up late watching movies on a school/work night, it’s the only night of the month when Wayne usually doesn’t have to work the night shift, so it’s the only time they have to relax and hang out. <3

Wayne taught Eddie most of the basics of playing guitar, including how to tune his acoustic. However, other than that, Eddie’s pretty much self-taught. He mastered playing the electric guitar all on his own. <3

Wayne, much like Eddie, is shockingly big on nicknames. For example, Wayne’s longest and most enduring nickname for Eddie is Ferret because the boy has more energy than he knows to do with. Eddie’s also insanely good at squeezing into small spaces, which makes that moniker even more apt. Wayne also came up with your nickname, Jitterbug, because you’ve always been a fidgety, nervous nelly. <3

Wayne even has a nickname for your mom; he calls her Apple because she always uses apple-scented shampoo, the same apple-scented shampoo you used to use until you grew up and started acquiring your own hair care products. Also, Wayne calls your mom that because she often wears this cute little sweater with apples knitted all over it during the colder months. <3

Wayne keeps a picture of you and Eddie on his dashboard. It’s of you two leaning up against the brick wall at Hawkins Elementary, smiles beaming at the camera as you’d huddled in close on the morning of your first day of the third grade. On the back of it is written, in Wayne’s oddly elegant handwriting, “Ferret & Jitterbug Go To School - August 1973.” <3

Eddie is the heaviest sleeper on god’s green earth; he always has been. Consequently, when he was much younger, Wayne used to have to physically haul him out of bed in the mornings and dress him himself. Now that Eddie’s older, though, Wayne rings a rusty old cowbell he got at a garage sale to wake his nephew up; it works like a charm. Wayne thinks the cowbell was one of the greatest purchases he ever made. Eddie, on the other hand, has tried (and failed) to sneakily rid the Munson household of that damned bell on many occasions. <3

The first time Wayne caught Eddie smoking weed, when he was thirteen years old, he sprayed him with the hose to put it out. Then Wayne gave his drenched, shivering nephew the sternest, most long-winded lecture of his life. <3

After Eddie got done reading the Crucible in his 9th grade English class, Wayne had to deal with him constantly greeting him with a prim and proper “How now, dear Uncle.” <3

Eddie is one of the greatest gift-givers of all time. He listens more intently than others might initially think, so he always knows the perfect gift for someone. He gets that talent from Wayne, who inherited it from his mom, Eddie’s grandmother, Margaret Munson. <3

Similarly, both Wayne and Eddie get their dramatic flair from Mimi (what Eddie calls his grandma). She used to read Eddie his bedtime stories to him, using different, silly voices for the characters and narrators as she read through the tale, even pausing for dramatic effect when she felt it was necessary to do so. Mimi’s favorite book to read to him, which also happened to be his favorite book when he was little, was Millions of Cats. Eddie still has her copy of the book. The inside cover has the words “property of Eddie and Mimi Munson” inscribed in her pretty handwriting. He stores the treasured book in a memory box under his bed, opting to have it tucked away for safekeeping. As gross as it might be to some, Eddie finds it profoundly comforting that the book still smells like the menthols she used to smoke. <3

Wayne Munson is the DIY king, and Eddie is his protégé. Seriously, these men never hire a repair service because they fix everything themselves. Wayne even went as far as to check out books on basic wiring and electrical work from Hawkins Public Library when their trailer’s circuit breaker was giving them trouble. The Munsons have even been known to craft their own furniture from time to time, like when Wayne built the nightstand next to Eddie’s bed out of the wood that one of his friends had left over after building a new front porch for their house. He even got some dark wood stain to use on it for half off from the local hardware store since the can it was in was so dented that it hardly resembled a cylinder anymore. <3

The Munson men are also pros at shopping secondhand. They can scout out the best deals at garage sales. They can also easily scope out the most extraordinary hidden treasures at even the most cluttered thrift stores. Going shopping with them is a breeze because you know that, no matter what, you’ll get precisely what you need. <3

Wayne makes the most delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. You and Eddie aren’t sure how or why the ones he makes are always so much better than any other grilled cheeses you guys have had before, but they are. <3

Wayne’s never been a big fan of cake, so instead, you and Eddie make him a blackberry cobbler every year for his birthday using his mom’s recipe. Luckily for you both, or, rather, for your wallets, Wayne’s an August baby. Hence, blackberries are in season for his birthday and are, consequently, super fresh and not too expensive. <3

Contrary to how the rest of the town views them, most of the residents at Forest Hills quite like the Munsons, especially the elderly residents. Eddie and Wayne are the kinds of neighbors who will offer to help someone carry in their groceries, who will mow a neighbor’s lawn for free if they’re unable to do so themself, and who will even leave a lovely card in someone’s mailbox on their birthday. The Munsons are good people, and unlike most people in Hawkins, the folks who live at Forest Hills can clearly see that. Although, Eddie’s tendency to drive recklessly and blast metal music at all hours of the night sometimes makes it a little hard for his neighbors to remember just how good of a guy he truly is. <3

Wayne was your most loyal customer when you were in Girl Scouts and had to sell cookies every year. He’d save up money for months ahead of the cookie-selling season. Then, when the time finally came to start going door-to-door with your cookie forms, wearing your adorable little Junior Scout uniform, he would use that money to buy as many boxes as he could afford just to help you out. His favorites are the Tagalongs because, well, in his eyes, peanut butter and chocolate together is an unbeatable combination. <3

While Eddie’s “old man” may not have taught him how to fish, his Uncle Wayne sure did. When Eddie was a kid, back when he was still living with his shitbag of a dad, Wayne used to take him fishing at the lake at least once a week during the summer months to allow his nephew to escape his dad’s torment during summer break. Consequently, Wayne has many, many photos of a young, freckle-faced Eddie holding up the various fish he’d caught while flashing a beaming, toothy grin at the camera. He’s even got a couple of Eddie pressing kisses to some of the tinier fish his nephew caught. He also has one very special picture of 8-year-old Eddie gagging after his lips made contact with the slimy, scaly skin of the fish he was holding. That last picture is one that he’s opted to keep in his wallet; that way, he can look at it and laugh whenever he’s having a hard day. <3

Wayne and Eddie like to tease each other a lot. Granted, it’s only ever friendly fire. For example, Wayne teases Eddie about how loudly he snores at night. Meanwhile, Eddie teases Wayne about the so-called “grandpa noises” he makes when he gets up from the couch, bends over to tie his shoe, picks up something heavy, etc. <3

Wayne doesn’t really know what to do when people start crying around him; he tenses up and gets all awkward, unsure of what to say or do to make things better. But you bet your ass he tries his damnedest to console them, offering kind words, affectionate side-hugs (his full-on hugs are reserved for when his family needs them most, because he’s not really big on hugging), comforting shoulder pats, and when all else fails, a shoulder to cry on, to lean on in your time of need. <3

Wayne deserves a presidential medal of honor for all the times he’s had to take you, your siblings, and Eddie out to the Indiana Dunes for your yearly vacation by himself, which makes up nearly all of the times that you guys have gone to the Dunes, mainly because your mom was hardly ever able to get off work to come along with you all. Being stuck in a car with a bunch of ornery little shits for four hours (two hours there and back) is bad enough. Imagine how draining it is being stuck camping out in the woods with them for an entire week. Not to mention, Wayne almost always got stuck sharing a tent with you and Eddie, the orneriest of the little shits. After every single one of your trips to the Dunes, your mom would let you and Eddie have a week-long sleepover at her place so that Wayne could get some reprieve. However, Wayne almost always had him return home after about three days, as he found that he missed his boy in their time apart more than he missed the blissful silence when Eddie was home. <3

Wayne Munson can and will kick anyone and everyone’s ass at backgammon. He’s also unfairly good at Battleship, much to your and Eddie’s dismay. Also, Wayne’s never been the kind of person to let a kid win simply because they’re a kid; he is ready and willing to best you and Eddie at every board game known to man. Consequently, game nights at your mom’s place (to which Eddie and Wayne are always invited) are an intense affair, to say the least, but damn, are they fun! <3

Finally, Wayne used to sing “Don’t Fence Me In” to Eddie to get him to fall back asleep after a haunting nightmare woke him up, something that happened far too often when he first came into Wayne’s care. </3

Her view of the Light vs Darkness is somewhat unformed and naive, and first seeing only the black-and-white picture of good vs evil and Wielder vs Heartless, before finding friends that use Darkness for good and discovering that the Reverse Medals provided to the Wielders of Daybreak Town harness Dark Magic for good. She ultimately finds a small amount of amused satisfaction at the irony of being able to use Reverse Medals, which generally were adorned with depictions of “Bad Guys”, to do good things.

After the Keyblade War, her opinions were further confused - the overwhelming Darkness that destroyed everyone she’d ever known would have been a clear damnation of Darkness to her, if not for the fact that she was saved from this very war by an unusual Heartless. Despite this, encounters with or memories of Darkness would invariably haunt her with memories of the final days of Daybreak Town and though she would understand that there are caveats, she would generally wish to have nothing to do with Darkness at all.

KHII-Era Velcia:

Having both seen and suffered terrible losses from the destruction of Darkness, both by Heartless and Dark-aligned Keyblade Wielders, Velcia is firmly set to doing everything she can to help fight against the Darkness and protect others from the damage it can cause. She is, however, vehemently opposed to the Heartless and the dark Keyblade Wielders who would use their powers to hurt others - an opposition so deeply rooted that she can lose sense of her own self-preservation should the situation grow too desperate.

However, Velcia understands that not all that is darker is Darkness; and sometimes these black magics and spells can be put to good use to help in places or ways that may not be possible otherwise. So, while she generally has a great distaste for using them, she makes sure to keep well-versed in and capable of using a variety of Dark Magic spells should the need ever arise.

An interesting example of this holistic approach to magic comes from Velcia’s ability to invert spells. This is not an inherent ability that comes without effort to her, rather, her understanding of the fundamental nature of the magic energies and construction of the enchantments allows her to change aspects of the spell to reverse this effect. For example, Velcia is able to invert a healing spell like “Cura” and instead cast a “Decay” spell, which as the name suggests causes the target to begin to rapidly degrade and break down. This particular example is, of course, a rather horrifying sort of spell and not something she casts unless left very little other choice against creatures like the Hydra. These inverted spells can sometimes have effects that are very similar to those produced by spells of Dark Magic, but are not fueled by darkness and can avoid some of the pitfalls of using Dark Magic at the general trade-off of differing effectivity.

Also this week, I'd like to share another piece of art commissioned for me by an old friend! The artist is named Enmoire, and I actually loved it so much we got it printed on a canvas to hang on my wall IRL.

listen... this man. this man is SO GOOD at taking care of others that he makes any saint or guardian angel jealous, but mitsuya sometimes also forgets to take care of himself and not even on purpose, he just feels better about himself if he lets others feel good about themselves, that being said: mitsuya is the perfect example of husband material, especially because to keep a marriage you need mostly a harmonic synergy between the two parties and mitsuya would be as good at that as he would be good at 1. cooking great and various foods (especially because, remember: he had to take care not only of his younger sisters, but of the hakkai as well to some extent) and 2. giving himself to the maximum for the relationship because he believes that his s/so deserves the best version of him. and still on the topic of food, I believe that mitsuya would be very committed to learn the typical cuisine and cooking of your culture, if you are not a japanese person and/or grew up in a japanese family/community inside or outside the country itself, for him the gesture of learning a little more of your cultural roots is a way to show you that, if possible, he wants to experience all parts of your life with you, including, obviously, your cultural experience.

furthermore, mitsuya would leave several and several AND VARIOUS little notes for you if he woke up before you to go to work as a designer, from little "good morning" notes with a happy face to ones next to the breakfast that he made for you telling you to enjoy the day and that as soon as he got home he would give you a massage on your shoulders and cuddle you 'till you sleep (and mitsuya doesn't make empty promises).

❤︎ — Kakucho !

hmmmm, this man, * chef kiss *. exudes a huge Prince Charming energy that would see you reading something in the forest and fall in love instantly and, speaking of passion, kakucho would act like he was falling in love for the first time every day when he's your husband, which means that every time you woke up he would be at your bedside looking at you with a silly caring smile and pupils almost in the shape of hearts. unlike mitsuya, kakucho is not that good in the kitchen or at showing his love through written things, so he would try to make it clear through little gifts every day or at least every other day, and by gifts I mean: from pictures or videos of kittens and street dogs he finds to his favorite candy from the bakery closest to your house.

also! kakucho has such a good memory! he would know every skincare product you have, every accessory or cosmetic makeup product you like, every favorite character you love in a game, book or movie/series and every time he saw himself alone passing, for example, in front of a store that had some of the things you like, he would buy it to give to you at home (and speaking of skincare, please, if you have a husband!kakucho, do skincare with him, he loves it!)

Oh, Mr. Chifuyu Matsuno. this man is a complete blessing, he would want to do absolutely everything for you. cooking? he does it! (not that well, but does) taking care of the house? he does it! tidying up your things and his without a second thought? he does it! bringing a lot of pet into the house? he does it too! Chifuyu as a husband would love to make several projects of weekend outings with you, it would be very difficult to have any Saturday that you spend at home because he is kind of the type that wants to show the world that he is the only guy lucky to have you, so, you better prepare yourself for a Saturday going to the mall, to the restaurant, to the movies, to some amusement park or botanical park, while on Sunday he would want to have a lunch just between you both and then fall into bed to do absolutely nothing with you, probably just gossiping about his job with Kazutora and about how a kitten accidentally scratched Kazutora's nose and he, Chifuyu, bought a band-aid (possibly hello kitty to match the kitten) to put on his nose.

Besides that, Chifuyu would always reserve a good part of his time just to listen to you talking about your days over the weeks, he wants to know absolutely everything, even if your day was as quiet or boring as possible, for him anything that comes out of your mouth is as important as it is interesting, so it would be very common that you would spend your evenings, right after coming home from work, sitting at the kitchen table while he cuts vegetables and makes dinner.

you know the best part about being married to a detective? he may or may not end up letting some information slip out to you, but nothing about morbid or extremely violent cases, just some light, routine case stuff, although most of the time he is involved with solving the Tokyo organized crime web. but you know the worst part about being married to a detective? he would know when you were lying. he would know without a doubt, especially when you had a relapse of insecurity and he would be ready to shower you with compliments and love and affection and "I can buy your favorite chocolate and let you paint my nails, honey"; he's a sweetheart to the core. i think it's also worth mentioning that, because naoto is a serious guy most of the time, it would be hard for him to catch or notice all the jokes you say (and he may or may not have a secret little notebook tucked away in the second drawer of his departmental office containing the most everyday little jokes you make so that he doesn't forget the meaning of them and end up not cutting off your happy and excited and fun energy).

furthermore, naoto would be the kind of husband who would love it if you cooked for him, but this is not a fixed rule nor something he would mostly look for in a s/o because, obviously, he has other priorities and qualities to find in the love of his life. tachibana naoto, in addition, would always be concerned about everything in relation to you, things like: "have you eaten today? did you drink your water as you should? did you hand in your college papers? did you have a good day at work?" would permeate his mind every day, and so it is not uncommon for him to be quite consistent with text messages asking about your day (it's his way of showing that he pays attention to you and wants you well!)

hmmm, this man. this man right here. he doesn't want a job, sorry. nah, I'm kidding. he "wants" a job that lets him stay at home or at least get him out of the house a little (and here comes the bike shop with Kenchin) because 1. it makes him feel closer to you and, if there is an emergency, he doesn't have to drive all the way across town to find you and 2. damn, he wants to be a malewife, let him be a malewife, he wants his malewife rights — which means that, yes, inui would learn to cook properly just so that there would be good food when you get home from work and that he would also take care of the house EVERYWHERE, without exception, and that he would be all dressed up when you arrived even if 3 minutes ago his hands were all dirty with gravel and soot.

furthermore, inui would have a hard time showing his own feelings with words (so, please, every time he says "I love you, baby", you better keep this event and moment deep in your memory because he is already an extremely quiet man by nature), so the easiest way for him to show this to you would be through quality time, he would be a clingy husband! but not to the point of making you suffocate, he knows your limits better than anyone.consistent with text messages asking about your day (it's his way of showing that he pays attention to you and wants you well!)

Jaden Yuki/Yuki Judai

How I feel about this character: My monstrous little card game fella who I love SO much. Came into my house and kicked me in the ribs by being the actual textbook example of the "Aw! What a silly little guy!" to "He's a little bit fucked up actually" pipeline. I love how absolutely insane and messy he's allowed to be for a main character, not only did most of his arcs hit FAR too close to home, but it's just such a good example of how to take the archetypal plucky protag and deconstruct it a bit to add layers to the character. My second favorite yugioh character of all time, if I'm being subjective, my #1 fave if I'm being objective. Levels of queer neurodivergent swag I aspire to match.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: I just can't deny Jaden his funky southern rock boyf. I read him as somewhere on the ace spectrum, in a QPR with Jesse/Johan that all their friends assume is a traditional romantic relationship. Also, Yusei Fudo, because I am a sucker for narrative parallels, celestial imagery, stupid aces with the social skills of a tennis shoe.

My non-romantic otp for this character: I think he and Chazz have this relationship where Chazz gets up in the night, goes down to his kitchen, flips on the lights, and Jaden is just there eating his cereal. They are BEST FRIENDS and Chazz will not admit this even if you put a gun to his head.

My unpopular opinion about this character: Man, I wish we'd gotten more time with Yubel, but I never really got the feeling that Jaden felt any strong romantic/partner emotions towards them. Him choosing to fuse with Yubel is less a "And I will now give up everything for you, my One True Soulmate", and more just a simple acknowledgement of "You've been hurt really horribly because of me, so I'm offering you kindness and accepting responsibility for our relationship, because you don't deserve to be in pain" Which, personally, I think is a lot more impactful and fulfilling of his personal arc.

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: I kinda wish he hadn't actually graduated high school? I mean, obviously they would never do that, but I remember watching the final season and thinking "Yeah, there's no way he's going to graduate." Idk, he's just got Highschool Dropout energy to me and I almost wanted to see that. Let him fail out of school because he was too busy sorting out his mental health! That's very valid of him!

Crow Hogan

How I feel about this character: Trans king! I look at one picture of Crow and my brain just maxes out "Trans! Bird! Guy!" He commits crime. He has five kids. He literally named himself after a yugioh card. There's just so much good big bro energy in this funky dude. I would trust him with my life.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Uh, probably no one? There's not really any named character in the series I feel he had romantic chemistry with. He and Broder probably dated for a bit then broke up and remained friends.

My non-romantic otp for this character: The first ep. he was introduced and we actually see Yusei smile for almost the first time all series and duel and have fun with it, the big hug and the way each others face lights up when they see each other for the first time in years. Your honor, they are very important.

My unpopular opinion about this character: He's older than Yusei. Yeah I don't care what canon says, Yusei is the family Babey and Crow is a full six months older than him.

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: Some more exploration on what Crow gaining his signer mark actually meant to him. Did he feel like a replacement? What exactly did it mean to him that the tail mark jumped to him just so the head could move to Yusei? He's kind of the only one who doesn't get a whole plotline on how they feel about being a signer, so I always feel like there's some untapped potential for an arc there.

I loved this entry- something about your pure vibes led me to the answer. Sometimes I really think these through with my brain algorithm, and I love doing that, but Anton himself just led me to you, and I can’t explain why.

I think it’s something about the sheer range of interests you have and the amount of energy with which you engage with them. Like, let’s be real- Anton is probably a nerd. He’s a soft-spoken, introverted-ish technician who was probably a stem major; dude is hella nerdy and probably in his own little world if someone doesn’t turn his head. It’s giving that introvert/extrovert, STEM/liberal arts couple that works really well and is super cute.

I can very easily picture you as his “Blossom” as some people like to call his listener. Anton would miss you dearly while he’s on assignment at ETS and all the little things about you like the way you sing along in the car to your favorite girl songs or the way. He would miss window shopping with you and the way you might get distracted, hopping from one display to the next as he makes mental notes to spoil you with the things that catch your eye. He misses your constantly changing playlists that act as time capsules of him months with you, (Maybe, if he’s lucky, you’re allowed to share them with him, and Anton can at least listen to them and know you and he might have the same song stuck in your head.)

oh no no, I really don't mean to make you feel disheartened nooo. like I said it was only if you're intention was for a switchvers fic because based on your responses lately I can't tell what the future vibe is. I think it's just the nature of the dynamic with the characters chosen! idk maybe it's not stoic... I saw in your other ask you said "will literally makes fun of mike and taunts him" n it reminded me how yeah, domming comes with that darker energy that takes over and so he's not going to be like himself regardless. the switch flip can be jarring in fic but it can happen in real life during sex, even if not to everybody. but the making fun of him is technically degradation not necessarily domming so that becomes a kink preference thing!

as for the disgust thing idk basically I've read the fic with moots and for example one said it was just his discomfort felt strong? but they likened it to how they personally couldn't picture will not liking it, or not feeling good after it, not the writing. i've read top mike bottoming fics and he usually enjoys it but I think that means the author is setting up switchvers (or just mike being a polite guy haha) instead of your fic which has grown to not be what was originally planned (maybe?), and so it's simply a different fic to those others! nothing bad!

and no no definitely not trashing, I know you like it all! it was maybe just some of the dialogue or yeah again his reaction after they finished. but that is your fic and vision, and what you felt best so reiterating I neverrrr want to tell someone how to write, and was just answering what you said in another ask about you wanting to keep in mind having something for everybody in it, which is why I just said as long as all is respected, you're so good! sorry for any panic

i think it's hard for me to tell people definitively what the future vibe of the fic is going to be because i'm not intentionally aiming for anything super specific. i enjoy both bottom mike and bottom will so i'll write them in whatever position i'm vibing with at the time i'm writing the chapter. the main consistency though is going to be a more dominant or assertive will with a submissive mike because i like it more

and when i said "makes fun of him" it isn't supposed to be taken like it's going to be in a super mean way that would require a 'darker energy' from will. will, as a character in the show, teases mike and is a little shit to him in some of the few scenes we get of them not fearing for their lives or battling with internalized homophobia and unrequited love. you could imagine my dom will having the same energy as he has in s3 during the dnd scene where he goes, "is it early, michael?" it's that sort of teasing! he isn't supposed to have some sort of dark energy to make him dominant

and to be honest, i don't know what your moot meant by suggesting will was uncomfortable or didn't like it. i re-read the chapter and will's headspace doesn't come across the way i thought it did when i was writing it - i think i was just not feeling confident as i was writing it. it's clear in the chapter that he's enjoying it and is engaged the whole time; in fact, he's taken by surprise by how sensitive he is and how much he wants from mike in that moment

though i'm really not sure how you wanted him to react at the end when they were finished?? he was tired (and sated, which i do say in the fic specifically) but wasn't a huge fan of the feeling of mike's cum leaking out of him which i think is fair? i could have gone into more of the aftercare stuff post-sex scene but i had lost steam by that point and just wanted to get the chapter posted since it had been literal months since i posted the last one

i think i just don't write bottom will in the way that you perceive him (or your mutuals) which is totally fine. i'm not expecting my fic to appeal to every single person who enjoys spicy byler. but, yeah, i think the future vibe of my fic is going to look a lot like how it looks now

i really hope this doesn't come across as rude! i'm just genuinely kind of baffled by the way will has been interpreted

He’s however able to see all of the hardships this person has been through and their shortcomings.He sees them try really hard to acknowledge their darker sides and welcome their shadows, he knows they have been hurt, disappointed and left behind a lot but still find the strength to go forwards and heal and learn from the past, wether from their mistakes or things out of their control.For a long time, they were stuck in a cycle of wishing for the wrong things and getting or wishing for things in the wrong way, for example wanting success at whatever costs including their inner truth or wanting a person so bad they’d sacrifice too much for them when its not worth it.This is someone who has had their views of the world shattered,have seen their empire crumble again and again and again, but still rises stronger, kinder and fiercer each time.It’s funny because their energy feels very fierce and its like they’re aware they’re coming off that way but they’re not doing it on purpose.Like so many powerful cards came out because according to Namjoon and Spirit they’re very fierce but i think if you were to meet them they would act a lot softer and delicate and motherly.They’re insisting upon using their strength as a source of comfort rather than a source of protection.

The side cards are The Magician, Strength and nine of wands, which is literally Strong PersonTM Combo.It’s like Namjoon really wants to hammer it down inside of our heads how powerful they are, or maybe he really wants them to see their own power and right now they just don’t.They’re brave, and strong, and soft, and powerful and uuuuugh Namjoon isn’t that enough adjectives?No ?

They’re also kind, a good leader, I heard a good mom but i think its about how much effort they put into making their energy motherly.

C: Honestly, I try not to lie. But the last lie was yesterday. I was in a session with my vocal teacher and I don't know, it is a very random lie because it was completely unnecessary. But we were doing a vocal thing and I wanted to hear a new song that I have been working on someone sent me so I told my teacher that I had to hang because he had to go to the bathroom to pee.

CE: Are you the one who asks the horoscopes on the first date?

hey! this is chance & here’s this week’s prompt. what websites or resources do you use while you write or develop a character/story? what do you think of them and would you recommend them?

OOOOO GOOD QUESTION!!

Funnily enough, tumblr is one of the main ones. My characters tend to develop from ye olde tumblr oc ask/rp blogs, so I got in the habit of reblogging a lot of funny posts tagging my characters. It still happens even if I'm not tagging them. For example if there's a post like "every friend group has the chihuahua, the yorkie, and the borzoi" or like, a picture of someone holding a giant mouse or something, in my head I go "haha, yeah Andy is tooootally a yorkie. Too much energy and slight diva tendencies" or "oh man giant versions of little things would be rad. is there a way I can worldbuild on that? more oxygen in grounded islands means bigger bugs?"

Sometimes, if I'm looking for inspiration regarding character designs/fashion references, I might go on picrew or pinterest and just look and see different styles people might have or mess around with doll makers. Usually picrew doesn't have what I'm looking for exactly, but it'll be something like "oh there's a fishnet top in this one. i think Mareilli would absolutely wear this" or "oh this is a fun hairstyle. i should give more of my characters long hair so they can do more updo's," you know? So if you're looking for character design/inspo, highly recommend!!

If you wanted my biggest website inspiration though, it's probably youtube. I spend a lot of time on there watching speedpaints/character designs/costume builds/etc and it's a HUUUUGE inspiration. A lot of dichotomies I make between Grounded/Aerin islands comes from listening to people like Bernadette Banner regarding like...okay so like she made a video re: the costuming choices in Game of Thrones and that REALLY sent me on a spiral into looking at what differences in fashion and textiles you would find in islands that...float...and have windstorms haha;;;

This turned out a lot longer than I thought it would so the rest is under the cut! (Please read under the cut there's some writing programs and editing services I recommended under there).

And I know everyone says this but seriously: consume as much media as possible. I cannot even BEGIN to tell you how much television, music, film, books, anime, manga, comics, podcasts, and video games have either driven me to better my writing or have inspired me to make certain creative choices.

A lot of things from Seraetia were heavily inspired by Black Sails, from things like costume design to obfuscating certain characters' motives to me deciding to go whole hog on including polyamory as an end-game relationship status for some characters. Reading The Locked Tomb series and the Percy Jackson and the Olympians (plus literally everything else in that series haha) really pushed me into forcing myself to work on my imagery and prose, while also forcing me to think about pacing and how/if I should write it as a saga or how arcs should work. Nonfiction stories and documentaries also help!! Though, I'm pretty biased as I'm more into animals and psychological research, but I have definitely referred to those things when thinking up like, units of measurement and cuisine and things.

Also do NOT underestimate the power of infodumping and word vomiting with friends. When I write out my acknowledgements, @okiedoki and @miscbeary are going to be front and center "Thank you guys so much for letting me speak nonsense for hours on end and just nodding along." Roleplay with friends!! Even silly little inconsequential things or alternate universes or iterations upon iterations will help you to flesh out your characters! I've come up with so much about James and he's gone through so much development because I would go "Haha what if he was in the modern world he'd probably own an iguana that would be funny. Why an iguana...? You know, it's probably because he likes to be seen as different, but also because he just thinks they're cool. They're dinosaur-like and he enjoys the fact that something so unconventional and kind of scary can love and be loved--OH MY GOD JAMES SEES HIMSELF AS A MONSTER AND USES THE IGUANA TO PROJECT AND TEACH HIMSELF HE'S WORTHY OF LOVE."

*cracks knuckles*

Now in terms of actual programs you can use to write stories!!

Google Docs tends to be my go-to, but ever since I discovered StimuWrite 2, I tend to switch between both. Since I do most of my writing at night, Gdocs is really harsh on my eyes (even with f.lux, blue light glasses, and darkreader), so I like that you can set a gentler background on StimuWrite. Even better, it makes my ADHD brain happy and actually stay on task bc there's so much stimulation in there lol The only downside is that it doesn't really save your work (there's an emergency back-up it creates, but it's only for the last couple of writing sessions I believe), so I'll use it to write out a bulk portion and then transfer it to Gdocs.

If you're planning on writing a serious novel and want something with a little bit more organizational prowess, I would go with Scrivener. It has a lot of bells and whistles that are actually pretty neat, like being able to save reference documents/photos and putting it in the same "container" as the actual writing passage. Honestly? It's a lot. But!! It includes a built-in tutorial that does a REALLY good job of going through everything, so highly highly HIGHLY recommend following it because it explains the features very well and I do quite like them! Unfortunately, it does cost $60, but it's a one-time purchase and genuinely very useful.

If you're more into screenwriting that novels and the like, cannot recommend FadeIn enough. We had to use that in my Creative Screenwriting class and it was SO easy to use and made exporting scripts SUCH a breeze. In fact, Welcome to Irth was entirely developed in FadeIn, haha.

If you're looking for more like, art resources I would go with things like Clip Studio Paint/Paint Tool SAI. I used to use FireAlpaca like a decade ago, and I really enjoyed it! Can't say how well it's held up, though. PureRef is great too!! It helps you keep track of your reference images, and you can set it to "float" on top of other programs.

Okay, writing this soon after I woke up. I saw this last night but decided I'd save it for the morning so I can listen to the voices and stuff.

Zach Tyler Eisen... Hmm.. I can see that. Not much to say in how the characters match. I watched a compilation of Aang having savage come backs, which would fit for CK. He might be a kind soul, but he will roost you. Also there were some scenes of Aang's fight with Admiral Zhao, and I wanna say that CK would totally mess with his opponent in that way. His magic isn't the strongest, so if he can use his wit and cunning to use his enemy's attacks against him? He will. Also it's funny to mess with people trying to attack you. Overall, not my favorite pick, but I'll put it on the poll regardless.

Spencer Fox I had trouble finding a voice reel/compilation of. So I'm listening to a voice comparison video of all Dash's different voice actors. Before anything I can say that the energy of Dash definitely fits CK so I have some hope for this one. Both are energetic and fast as well as huge pranksters. Listening to all 3 voices of Dash (Spencer Fox for the first movie, Raymond Ochoa for Disney Infinity, and Huck Milner for the second movie) I'd say they're all pretty good. Just not as... I guess iconic as I want? It'd be difficult to pick just one of those actors for example since their voices sound so similar to me. (I mean, guess that's sorta the point) I guess I'd probably choose Raymond Ochoa over the other too as his portrayal seems to fit the most for CK. But also I need to keep in mind the voices people will know. People might be familiar with the Incredibles, but I'm not so sure about Disney Infinity.

Moving onto Macaulay Culkin, that's the actor for the kid in Home Alone right? I struggled finding a compilation of his acting, and in the end, the compilation I put in my queue to watch was just pictures of the boy. What I remember of the movie did have Kevin be a little trickster and if CK was left home alone, he'd definitely set up all those traps and stuff, regardless of if his house was being robbed by burglars or not. The thing is I don't recall Kevin speaking all the much in the movie. Something that goes completely against the loud and rambunctious CK.

OMG finally an actor I can find a voice compilation for on YouTube!! One I didn't know Jim Parsons played so many characters, two, I never noticed the guy who played Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory was the same person who play Oh from Home. He also had a small role on Pound Puppies? Omg who remembers Pound Puppies? I liked that show. Okay, back on track. Uuumm... Yeah I guess I can see it. Especially hearing him play more energetic characters like Oh or... Buddy the Elf? Okay apparently he played an animated Buddy and honestly it's a little weird seeing (or, well, hearing) someone else but Will Ferrell play Buddy, but Parsons makes it work. Though tbh, I think Parson is sorta with Zach for me. In the "Meh" area where it could work but I think there could be better candidates. If I can't hear CK's iconic "MWEH HEH HEH! ALL SHALL FALL BEFORE I, THE MIGHT KING OF COMICS!" in the voice after I've listened to some examples, then I'm less confident in considering. Okay, maybe not that line exactly, but it's important for me to hear something CK would say in the voice. Or envision CK saying something the voice actor's said.

Anyways, moving on. Greg Cipes was another I was able to find a voices compilation of. Cipes has voiced... a lot of animated comic book characters, and other animated charcters. However yeah I could see his portrayal of Beast Boy for CK. Loud, energetic, has the annoying younger brother vibes. I might have to listen to more examples of Cipes voicing Beast Boy specifically to get a better opinion. There's probably plenty of clips on YouTube for that though. I mean, I just need to search up Beast Boy Teen Titans Go and parse through stuff. Oh, also didn't know he played Michelangelo on 2012 TMNT. (... wait who played Mikey in RotTMNT?) ... okay now hearing his voice some more, yeah I can see it. On the poll it shall go! Alright who's last...

Ah. Billy Crystal. The first thing I think of is "Put that thing back where it came from or so help me!" While incredibly funny, the voice doesn't fit CK. Nor that line. That'd be something Chicago would say, and I already have a VA for my Chi-boy. (Thankfully.) Still, for the sake of integrity, I shall listen to more examples of the voice. I just doubt it's gonna be a fit. While Mike Wazowski is comedic and loud, that's where I see the similarities between him and CK ending. I don't see Mike as all that energetic and well, in a world of monsters, they all seem a little wacky and chaotic. (Though, couldn't the same be said of CK's world I guess?)

Okay. I probably should have enough to put up the poll now? Alex Hirsh, Nicky Jones, Greg Cipes... Okay maybe I don't have enough. I decided to drop Jeremy Shada, just doesn't fit well enough in my head.

I guess keep the head canons coming.
