TinyRoki part 3

Katsuki could see the visable eye twitch from Aizawa as they stood in his office. Katsuki couldn't blame him. One of his students was.... Shrunk. It probably didn't help that it was also one of the 'problem' ones.

"Just.... Get him some clothes and go see recovery girl."

"Yes sir...," Bakugo said and glared down at the 5 inch teen in his hand. He had no idea how he was going to get Shoto some clothes, but he could get him to recovery girl.

He sighed and started to leave.

"Oh, and Bakugo."

Katsuki glanced at his teacher with a raised brow.

"He's your responsibility. Keep him safe."

"HAH? F-- Yes sir. Fine, come on TinyRoki. Let's get you to recovery girl. Then maybe find your girlfriend and see if she can make you clothes."

Bakugo exited the office and Shoto pulled at his finger. "What do you mean girlfriend? I do not have one."

"Hah? Ponytail isn't your girlfriend? "

"No. She is just a friend. I know once she had a crush on me. I also think she is very pretty but it ends there. I am not very interested in woman or girls I suppose? They are too clingy."

Katsuki clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. He didn't know that. He hadn't even realized he wanted to know that.

"Whatever....."

Todoroki is basically a colder and more rebellious shounen manga version of Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender, beginning with a burn scar around his eye inflicted by a parent  and a kingly-looking fire-powered dad who doesn’t look all that approving of him. A dad who turns out to be an asshole.

plus  They both have  Fire powers, ,  and are attempting to gain the power to rise to the top and are receiving hated from those beneath them, and their mothers have been out of their lives for a long time.      

and zuko has an evil sibling named azula who has blue fire and feels that her mother thought she was a monster and dabi has blue flames and his relationship with his mother would be very strained  as  @vixenofthemist  said

and both ozai and endeavor got into their marriages and had children as a some genetics experiment to breed strong children etc

and in the end of atla ozai had his bending taken away by aang so I think endeavor will get his quirk taken away

Hm, interesting! I didn’t make the connection with Ozai, but there are definitely a few in-story reasons to believe this might be the path the story will follow as well.

1) We know the villains have some of those Quirk-destroying bullets. Presumably if you were going to use them the #1 hero is probably the most likely target,

2) If Dabi is a Todoroki, taking away his father’s quirk when he discarded Dabi (if he is Tinyroki), Fuyumi, and Natsuo for not having perfect quirks would definitely be karmic and work with his motivations, and

plus in my hero illegals :

aizawa compared knuckleduster to endeavor and knckleduster is former prohero who lost his quirk and got his face split by all for one and endeavor currently has a scar on his face like knuckleduster and it turns out the villain who was  spreading trigger was his daughter/  a  bee user possessing his daughters body so knuckleduster had to fight his daughters ( and his relationship with his daughter was strained)  body    fighting against a quirk user without a quirk of his own ()  and dabi his son is currently a member of the league of villains and endeavor may have to fight and defeat dabi without using a quirk and relying on some tech to assist him

I think given that the manga compared endeavor to knuckleduster and later on it was revealed that the villain  was his daughter ( or at least using her body) and knuckleduster had to fight her  (not to mention him being a former pro hero who lost his quirk and got his face split  )

and the fact that enji has a scar on his face

 and I believe he will lose his quirk  

 makes me think we will get a parallel to this fight with dabi and enji

of course maybe endeavor wont lose his quirk but dabi will get a powerup  and the fight will still parallel knuckledusters fight with queen bee possessing his daughter

Dabi’s Fatal Flaw

This is nothing new obviously, but I made my own chart and everything so let’s talk about this again. Enji Todoroki and Dabi’s scars match each other where their flames are generated on their bodies. 

Edeavor also when fighting, generates flames on his hands that run down the veins of fire burning in his forearms. 

This is also similiar to how Todoroki Shouto fights, Dabi and Shouto both often summon up flames in their arms and strike forward with them as a default move. Dabi is even shown doing this in the opening. Taken from this post [x].

So, bottom line even if Dabi is not a Todoroki he wields his flame quirk incredibly similar to the both of them. The main difference being that both Shouto and Enji’s quirks default to orange, whereas Dabi’s are always blue. Enji even makes a mention that he purposefully can control the temperature of his flames. 

However, when he’s attacking the Noumu at full power he pushes the flames to the point where they turn blue and remarks that this is hot enough to carbonize the skin so they would not regenerate. Which means that Dabi’s blue flames are likely always burning at that temperature. 

So, as I’ve said before my theory is that Dabi caused his own burns by constantly pushing himself to burn that hard. However, why did he do this? What is his fatal flaw that led to doing this? And the best place to look is Endeavor. This is where we’ll start dabbling into the “Dabi is a Todoroki theory.’ Endeavor remarks several times that Shouto is the one born with the right combination of quirks, and he’s clearly the only sibling that Enji ever paid attention to. The others weren’t born with a good enough quirk. 

Even in his own recollection of the past, Endeavor sticks pretty hard to this mindset. The only person he imagines in full detail is Shouto using his combination quirk, while the rest of them are drawn much smaller, and Tinyroki is even drawn without a face. 

The ice quirk was meant to compensate for the fire one, because otherwise if Endeavor pushes himself too far he will burn too hot. However, at the same time this is also symbolic for his character flaw. Not only does his flames burn too hot, but also his emotions, his ambitions, all burn too hot as well. 

Endeavor has shown this several times in the past. Whenever he has too strong of an emotion, he flames on like the human torch. That is what made him an abuser in a sense outside of pursuing quirks, his family got caught up and was used as a method of venting his own personal issues of inferiority. In other words he burned his family as well as everything around him because of his own emotions. 

Endeavor even admits to this in his one moment of remorse, that the despair of seeing All Might’s back led him to doing what he did. 

He shows a lot of sing his flame quirk to vent his anger when he cant contrl it, such as what he did to his training room after not succeeding All Might in the way he wanted to. 

Even as early as a few chapters ago, here is Endeavor going flame on to the smallest amount of criticism leveled at him by Hawks. 

In the Todoroki and Bakugou training chapter, the resolution for Shotuo himself was that he did not have to use his flames violently, or his quirk merely just for fighting. That he could change the way he used his fire to broaden their outlook just a little bit. 

Then, contrast this finally to Dabi. Dabi’s fatal flaw is the same as Endeavor’s, when he gets annoyed, when he gets angry, when he gets overly ambitious his response is always to flame on. In the Twice solo chapter, the villains that Dabi burns are low level villains committing petty theft. 

Dabi is shown to be a follower of Stain, in meeting those petty villains while being told that the Villain’s League is searching for more recruits to their cause. However, Stain was not somebody who did evil for evil’s sake, he was not a villain who committed petty crimes, he did everything he did to sharpen the resolve of heroes. So, Dabi witnessing a bunch of low level villains just stealing things for their own purposes dubs them to be not good enough and burns them. 

In this scene he’s most likely still staying true to Stain’s ideology. What he needs are not villains who do villainry for their own purposes, but villains strong enough and with strong enough resolve to test the heroes. Stain also started out as a vigilante who just killed villains because he did not find the heroes were doing it well enough (stendahl, check out mha vigilantes). 

This is also pretty much exactly how Endeavor tends to deal with villains. Dismissing them as inferior small fries and burning them up entirely. Source [x] here. 

The next major scene we see Dabi fighting in, he does the same as well. The first important detail is that those who are said to follow Stain’s ideology, spinner and Dabi still clearly follow it. At least spinner references it in this case. 

The second is that Dabi remarks that he’s gaining more popularity, before once more completely burning up a hero that was facing him. 

Mention of fame and rising to the top, and also completely burning up his enemy until there was nothing left of him in order to achieve his ambition. Once again, this is how Endeavor sees himself as somebody who has to rise to number one, and this is the only way Endeavor fights by completely burning everything around him even burning up Hawk’s wings. 

Endeavor even says repeatedly, what he cared about more than anything else was being the strongest. 

In contrast to Hawks who wants to be somebody with a board enough back that people can rely on, and is even willing to let somebody else take up that spot if they’re better than him. 

Ambition, anger, inferiority, all of these emotions are caught up in Endeavor’s flames, and because of that he always burns way too hot and it’s the only way he knows how to fight to just completely burn out the enemy in front of him. 

So, that too reflects in Dabi who most likely burned himself by always pushing his flames to burn so hot that they were blue all the time, and carbonized his body just so he could deal with it. Who if he is Endeavor’s son, is a twisted reflection of all of his worst qualities. Somebody who burns villains and heroes alike in order to achieve their ambition and carry on the ideology of Stain. Dabi’s fatal flaw is how much he burns his flames and lets them run freely. 

He even remarks that the Noumu is something just like him, living mindlessly in the pursuit of strength, but the one who was responsible for manufacturing that Noumu in the first place, who has been in charge of it since being placed as the head of the Vanguard Action squad was none other than Dabi. 

So, regardless if the theory is true or not, we’re meant to draw this line between Endeavor and Dabi. What Endeavor’s reckless, destructive behavior, what his venting of his emotions on those around him would look like, what his willingness to sacrifice everything for his ambitions would take the form of if he didn’t happen to be a hero if he was a villain.

“Don’t Lump Me In With the Likes of You!”

So High End makes some sort of superficial comparison with Endeavor, and Endeavor responds as he does:

It’s not like these panels look similar at all, Endeavor:

What will you gain if you destroy a Nomu and lose your soul? You’ve already lost it and lost your family trying to get to #1, after all.

“Don’t lump me in with the likes of you” seems to indicate, unsurprisingly given the last chapter when Endeavor still thought of his kids in terms of breeding them for their quirks, that Endeavor’s not willing to see his sins as sins yet. He’s not willing to face them. Because there are some pretty clear parallels in that Endeavor bred his kids for their quirks to have them surpass All Might, just like whoever is behind High End deliberately mixed certain quirks to create a Nomu who could actually get results.

It would make sense for Endeavor’s character, if by destroying this Nomu, he finds himself facing those precise sins.

It’s not like the narrative is deliberately comparing it to what happened to All Might, Endeavor’s parallel, when he won against AFO but it would up being--well, not quite a pyrrhic win but he did lose his quirk and find out his mentor’s grandkid got brainwashed into becoming a villain so like.

I expect Endeavor to win this fight, as I’ve said. I just also think it’s pretty fitting to end with it being revealed Dabi is behind High End and also is Tinyroki.
