hiii, can i request a reading on how other 4th gen boygroups view zerobaseone? or how the big 4 companies view zerobaseone?
because they've broken a lot of records already and have a lot of gp support as well as a dedicated fandom... if you look at wannaone, they dominated their generation and were second to only bts. groups flourished after their disbandment. it's also well-known that a lot of 4th gen bg fans have transferred to zerobase1 and even bgs like ateez and skz have admitted knowing about it.
so i'm suuuper curious. i wanna know if it's like "we have to beat them" or "why are they even successful" or "they'll disband anyways lol who cares"
thank you :D
p.s. i love how you answer interesting asks like the bts book lmao some tarot readers don't do it in fear of controversy or something i guess
ZEROBASEONE reputation in the idol industry.
Tumblr media
(in bloom soty and youthintheshade aoty btw!!!!)
How do 4th gen boygroups view ZB1? Wheel of Fortune rev, 9 of Swords, 10 of Wands, The Star, 6 of Cups, The Hierophant, The Tower, 3 of Swords, The Fool, Strength, Ace of Wands
Some see them as a group with a lot of determination and that has been through a lot psychically and mentally. They are seen as successful and stars. I feel though some view them as not as traditional? Ohhh it's because Zhang Hao placed 1st as a Chinese which is unheard of. I'm getting some jealous vibes too ngl. However they can be seen as too successful to the point some may wish for chaos? I feel that the jealousy comes from them debuting off a really popular show and mnet which can have people be jealous of their privilege. I feel that their talent, hard-work, creativity and visuals are appreciated amongst boy groups. 8 of Swords is underneath so again their some real jealous sore losers that envy them (I have a feeling some groups from big companies can see them as a threat ngl)
How do the big 4 companies view ZB1?
SM: Strength, The World, 3 of Pentacles, 2 of Wands, The Hierophant, The Fool, 9 of Pentacles.
Quite positive! They are seen as successful, determined boys who are willing to take risks. They see them as breaking norms (aka having 2 Chinese members and one placing first) and The Empress is under deck so they seem to like their concept!
YG: King of Cups, Knight of Swords, The Hierophant, Knight of Wands, King of Pentacles, 9 of Swords.
Mostly positive. Creative, Talented, succesful boys breaking norms. However I sense some may even be intimidated by them and feel the need to work harder? (10 of Wands underneath). It's like seeing how good your classmate is and wanting to do better.
JYP: 4 of Pentacles, 2 of Wands, 2 of Swords, Judgement, Strength, Knight of Cups, 7 of Cups, Queen of Wands, The High Priestess, 9 of Swords.
Mmmm the stingyness begins lmfaoo. Idk what type of beef JYP has but jealousy is present. I can imagine some male saying "How are they even successful?" so people probably doubted their success or think it's fraudelent. It's not only their success that they envy but their creativity, determination and concept. (Idk why but I can see them secretly wanting them to flop, again lots of envious energy. I can picture "We are from JYP but they are more successful then us??". They keep a lot of secrets about them and are probably really judgy "What type of name is zerobaseone" is a bit of an example.
HYBE: 6 of Swords, 5 of Swords, 2 of Swords, King of Cups, Page of Cups, 3 of Pentacles, 2 of Wands, The Tower, 6 of Swords.
Succesful and talented trainees. However I feel some may secretly be wishing on their downfall. They think they are a well rounded group and will keep their eyes on them. Justice is under deck so I won't be surprised if HYBE snatches a member or two.

Blankets - Sungwoon
Tumblr media
(Admin: Guiiying)
Sungwoon lets out a laugh that mixes with a sigh a smile covering his features him being pulled from his sleepy state by the cold chill of the room that hits his skin. Sungwoon rolls onto his side to look over at you, sure enough, the blankets that had been over both of you were now wadded up around you and hanging off the side of the bed furthest from him. He does his best to move the blankets without waking you but is unsuccessful when you groggily open your eyes rolling towards him while he continues to tug the blanket back onto the bed.
“You always hog the blankets,” Sungwoon teases you huff scooting closer to him as well as further into the middle of the bed and away from the edge where you usually sleep, “it’s cute,” Sungwoon adds resting his hand on the back of your head stroking your hair lazily.
“Sorry,” you say with a small laugh wrapping your arms loosely around his middle and resting your forehead against his chest, “I move a lot in my sleep,” you remind which he nods in agreement.
“I’ve gotten used to that,” he says in a sigh smiling to himself, “go back to sleep,” he yawns.
Sungwoon tugs the blanket up a little higher on you so that it is wrapped around your shoulders before pillowing your head under his forearm.

the art of brewing
There was a difference between fate and coincidence.
The two of you never lacked fate – but it was too unpredictable. And neither of you all knowing. So he could only rely on coincidence.
“There’s no such thing as coincidence.”
“I know,” his expression looking all too much like a fox’s. “I was intent on seeing you again.”
Again and again. Over and over. Until you couldn’t find yourself without him by your side.
{ supernatural au } kdn | bjy | pwj | osw | hmh | hsw
a/n: 3.8k of sweetness, gumiho minhyun for my soulmate/supernatural au. can be read stand-alone; please note that they use formal speech with each other throughout this fic until the third cut.
The clear night does nothing to still your racing heart when Minhyun hitches his robes up to sit besides you at the foot bath. Peering over the world you grew up in.
You’d come out to try and find a cure to your sleeplessness, but it was obvious to you that Minhyun seems to think that you’re thinking of the other realm again.
“When you look at something for a long time, you’re supposed to learn to appreciate it more.” Minhyun says out of the blue in the way that he does as the two of you dangle high above the city, firefly lights dancing amongst the stained-glass waters, bustling streets of the heavenly realm reflected in the steaming foot bath.
”But it’s different when you’re looking over someone.” His gaze burns through you, unwavering in its intensity of affection, whilst the cricket songs seemingly still. It should scare you how much it seems as if Minhyun likes you. But at least, he knows you like him.
“How?” Whispered, barely loud enough over the winds that have suddenly picked up, it sounds accusing rather than inquisitive. It’s not what you intend, but maybe somewhere deep down, it’s a defensive mechanism. That having witnessed all your shortcomings, you worry that he’s given up on you.
“When you look over someone, you’ll either grow tired of them, or find that you can no longer live without them. Even if they do not return your affection, and even when they are not aware of your care and presence.”
To him, the moment you met, the universe shifted.
But to you, in front of the person you wanted to give the whole universe to, you felt small and insignificant.
“Is that why you never came to find me until I came to try and cancel our engagement? Because you grew tired?”
“No.” Shaking his head as he answers. Minhyun’s arms wrapped tightly around your waist, and his hair tickles the side of your neck as he moves to lean on your shoulder.
You still remember how the peach blossoms painted the palace grounds, draping it in swaths of petals - despite the winter landscape - to welcome the return of its prince when you’d raised hell in the main palace – demanding to meet the Crown Prince the daughter of the Minister of Magical Relations had been offhandedly gifted to.
So… Perhaps, you were a bit of a handful.
There’s great fire in your soul – so people will either warm themselves at it and burrow in your embrace, or see nothing but smoke and a future of carcasses and go their own way. That is the fate of those born with flame in their blood.
Your fate was recited to you as soon as you were old enough to understand.
To be the fox’s bride, or lead your realm to ashes.
It was ingrained in your souls for the two of you to both balance one another. And to bring equilibrium to the realms.
You just wished you’d known how important Minhyun would become for you.
“No,” Swaying his legs, causing ripples to cascade along the surface before he picks up again. “one disappears to be found. I simply could not find you.”
There were strict rules regarding the privacy of humans, though he could send his foxfires throughout the magical realms, the non-magical earth was governed by another set of laws.
“It was an unexpected turn to see you come to me instead.”
You didn’t come to find him. You’d come to rid yourself of the duty you carried as a disposable chess piece. But you suppose the end you were searching for was definitely Minhyun. Everything was just a means to him.
Reaching to pet the top of his head, you smile contently when you feel him hum at your side, the beginnings of a soft purr. Bringing you back to a memory of a slightly chubbier, bright eyed, and shorter haired Minhyun complaining to you about not having anyone willing to spoil him with such meaningless little actions of affection as they refused to touch his head.
It never occurred to you as a child to ask the reason. But now, it made sense that no one would willingly pet the crown prince over his head.
“Tired?”
“Just a little.” Lashes fluttered to follow his dedicated attempts to stay awake. Nudging his foot with your own, you’re rewarded with a yelp of surprise as he scoots away, eyes wide and cheeks flushed. Ticklish.
“Go back in first and rest, I’ll come join you a little later.”
“Should I?” He glanced at the way you played with the water, kicking and swaying to make patterns on its surface, distorting the image of the heavens, mixing it with the lunar lights of the human realm - celebrating the arrival of another year.
“I’m a big girl, and the palace is probably the safest place on Earth. I won’t stay out here for long, just go in to rest - I’ll see you in the morning.”
I won’t disappear again,
Guilt edged itself in you and painted over your voice each time he looked scared to leave you alone. And it only worsened when you knew he could tell, but you tilted your head back towards the rooms before turning back to look at sparkling city line, feeling the tension in your shoulder slump as you hear his footsteps beyond the sliding doors.
You’d stay there by his side.
With the last of your boxes rolled safely in place, you collapse on the floor, moaning in pain at the dull ache in your shoulders.
Minhyun must’ve heard you because he trots over, soft steps and gentle smile in place. You’d known that he was in the garden pavilion earlier, but you hadn’t known for what reason until you spot the cups in his hand.
“Ahh~ Green tea!” It was especially nice during this chilly weather and he was excellent at brewing. What a treat you were in for.
When you make tea... it reflects what you feel at that time. Sweetness when you’re happy and bitterness when you’re in despair. Anger transfers in the form of heat.
Never overheating the water to let subtle notes escape. Minhyun’s tea is rounded. Crisp with delicate sweetness, fragrance that travels miles, and has sparkling green clarity. There’s a calming effect to whatever he brews. Like himself.
Minhyun’s tea is exactly to your taste because of the person brewing it.
Taking a sip, you smile down at the cup. What would Minhyun taste in yours?
“This is why I love you. Truly, you know me best, Minhyun.”
He knew exactly how to remind you of the happiness in stall for the both of you. Together. It was as if a small cup of liquid jade could tell you that you won’t regret your decision to stay and that he’d never let you feel unvalued.
The stark change of expression of his face transitions from acceptance to alarm in mere seconds. Eyes blown wide as the fine layer of white dust that always seems to surround him turns ice cold.
“You loved me once, and that would’ve been enough. There’s no need for you to express pleasantries when your heart obviously lies elsewhere.”
He didn’t want you to resort to lying. Gazing at the boxes that lay in neat lines by the left hallway, he’d already resigned himself. He’d known that you must’ve want to go back, but he hadn’t thought it’d be so soon.
Minhyun didn’t want to have any regrets. Not again.
“Minhyun… What are you talking about?”
By now, his tails were taking on a diaphanous form, swaying behind him as his emotions ran in erratic circles.
“Our fate… shouldn’t be forced. There is timing for everything. I understand. But it still pains me to think that it is not our time yet.”
Waiting was nothing. Just as fox showers were just a passing rain, it shan’t last. Time was of no essence to a gumiho. What hurt was the thought of him not being enough to keep you by his side. But he knew that there was too much to give up.
He could tell that the fox in him was yipping, annoyed at his complacency and his coat had begun slipping from him. Begun to reach for his mate against his will, tails lashing out, unwilling to let go of companionship yet. But they both knew there was nothing he could do to force you to stay.
You could see the strain in Minhyun’s expression. Wasn’t he glad that you would be by his side-? Did he think you were leaving?
You’d forgotten that he was in classes the day you’d first moved in. Oh dear.
“Did you think that I’m leaving?”
“Are you not leaving?”
“Obviously not!”
Why would you pay extra to have the courier come up to such a rural area with your stuff only to move out?
Minhyun drops the cup he was holding, spilling tea over the wood chipped floor as the cup rolls towards your feet, the stain seeping through the layers magically disappearing to leave only fragrant mist behind
“But- how?” Why?
“I’m staying with you.” The tone of finality in your voice surprising you as well.
“But your parents- your home-“
“I got accepted at your institute under special circumstances!”
You weren’t giving up anything! What was repeating four months of classes compared to Minhyun?
“Why-?” Why would you give up such normalcy for me?
“Can you not tell that... That you’re the only reason I have to stay?”
Was this why he’d kept this distance? Only reaching out for you when you’d reached for him first? Because he’d thought it temporary… That you’d soon be leaving?
Minhyun stood. Unmoving. As the words wrapped around him, the winds outside stilling and snow fell in slow motion.
“You like me too?”
The words that leave him sound foreign. Unthinkably so. But those words cause him such immense happiness. He’d never had to doubt or cared of what anyone had to feel for him before you.
“Were you always this stupid?”
Oh my god, were you the stupid one for calling the emperor stupid?
Gaping, you search Minhyun for any signs of joking. Only to be struck with genuine inquisition.
“Oh my god, we’re going to have an idiot as emperor.”
Was it not obvious?
“How-“
You’d face palm if it wasn’t so inappropriate and you didn’t want to keep staring at Minhyun. Oh my god, he must have seen you talking to the couriers.
“Why else would I be staying here with you?”
How could someone so smart be so dumb?
“You thought I was leaving again!” You accused, but instead of retaliating Minhyun only exchanges the look of lost on his face to a dopey smile.
And with the way the birds and cicadas have started singing, and the peach blossoms have rebloomed alike to the day you stepped foot on the mountain, you can tell that spring must’ve bloomed outside.
Walking over to hold your hands between his own, warm from his cup, dangling them for too long for your liking. You think that his smile must’ve been the persuasion winter needed to thaw.
“I like you too. I like you so much.”
Pouting, you loosen his hold to wrap your arms around his waist instead, burying yourself on the glistening pelt he has draped over his shoulders as a sign of his status.
“Then just hug me already.”
Smiling when you feel him practically melt into you, you wonder if he knows that he’s spoiling you too often here.
“I’m still in love with you, y/n.” He sat back down from the kneeling position he’d shifted to, lacing his fingers through your own. “Can I say that I love you again?”
“You already said it.”
“I’ll say it many more times, as long as you let me.”
There was a difference between fate and coincidence.
The two of you never lacked fate – but it was too unpredictable. And neither of you all knowing. So he could only rely on coincidence.
“There’s no such thing as coincidence.”
“I know,” his expression looking all too much like a fox’s. “I was intent on seeing you again.” Again and again. Over and over. Until you couldn’t find yourself without him by your side.
You stand, surprisingly steady on your feet. To press a kiss on his lips. Fleeting love imprinted on the corner of his mouth. Over before it’s barely begun. But the touch of your warmth lingers on Minhyun and he can tell that something lingers on your mind. A hint of negativity clouding the moment of gentle happiness.
“You were a princess last time.” He says to distract you, and in the depths of his eyes, you could hear the tender words he left out. I spent countless summers looking for you went unsaid.
You didn’t think you’d talk about it at such a moment.
“Thank-you for waiting.” It hadn’t occurred to you that Minhyun might’ve tried to search for you because of something you’d said off-handedly as a kid. You’ve met your fair share of girls claiming to be princesses at soirees and conferences (not that they necessarily weren’t).
And the two of you had been so young. You didn’t think he’d remember.
“Why did you say so?”
You winced, embarrassed. How were you supposed to explain that your younger self was ecstatic over the idea of marrying a prince and becoming a princess – too caught up in the romantic fantasy to understand the notion of fairytales - to care about marrying for love. Too young to understand that you were a princess consort.
How were you supposed to know what an engagement entailed and how titles worked? In the books - love was supposed to be a war. The greatest trial. No one ever finds their soulmates so easily.
Just like that. Like this. Where all you’d wanted was him. From beginning to end. Always him. Everything just fell in place.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to lie.” Pouting, this didn’t seem fair! Minhyun must’ve known from the start after all! “How was I supposed to know that I was talking to the prince!”
“Crown prince,” he corrected. Lips pursed in a tight smile, so charmingly fox-like, your heart flips a few times. Being spoiled by him surely shouldn’t be good for your health. “There’s nothing stopping you from regaining your title.” Minhyun teased, falling in thought, before a grin spreads. “Barring marriage.”
“Firstly, I was never a princess so I can’t regain the title; and secondly, urgh-“ You dreaded the idea of having to explain to your parents after the ruckus you’ve caused that you’d like to keep the engagement. Or to talk of your love life with them. “Let’s keep that talk for the future.”
“Unless you don’t want to?” He feigns a look of ignorance, rubbing the bottom of his chin between his thumb and index finger. “We could run away to the mountains…”
“Minhyun… We’re already in the mountains.”
“Live off our own vegetables…”
You glanced at the open garden past the sliding doors to reveal the round patches of cabbage waiting to be frost kissed, edamame beans ready to be harvested, and colourful batches of sweet and spicy peppers. The persimmons looked too creamy to be collected just yet.
“Do our own cleaning…”
“As if you didn’t do that already.” Rolling your eyes, you’d seen him ushering the maids out to do so himself after deeming them not complacent enough at their paid jobs!
“And name the hundreds of koi fish we have in our free time.” Bursting into giggles, you poked him right under his ribs, in which he responds by wriggling away and throwing you off his lap.
“You want to retire already?”
“No. But if you want to, we can. I’ll just be a puppet king and let the counsel decide everything.”
Sighing, you realize that this is what it’s really about.
 “Minhyun-“
“You know you can’t lie to me.” Granted. He lacked Sungwoon’s power to differentiate truth and falsity, but with you – he didn’t need anything.
“Why do you try to carry the realms on your shoulders?
“So that my arms can be yours’ only.”
Trust him to try and cheer you up when it was his authority and likeness being mocked.
“Will you blame me if I fail?”
You really wish he’d stop trying to pretend that he was fine.
“No. I will raise you above them all.”
If there was one thing that didn’t make sense to you, it was how easy sound travelled through the palace. It was the reason for Minhyun staying in his own quarters by the gardens instead of the main branch and the servants leaving the place after sun down, to protect the intense privacy of the palace.
It’d made sense in the olden days, before the abilities of each race could be used to complement each other and before technology become incorporated with the magical realm, as it ensured the translucency and fairness of the monarchs – but it was more of liability now.
Because now, it meant that the elders – still stuck in their war time idealities and pre-treaty prejudices could talk about the man you loved in whatever light they wanted to paint, knowing full well that the servants could hear them, and that above all – Minhyun would hear them.
You know he must’ve. Seeing the cold fires of Aristotle, blue-green flames of damp white woods; the foxfires had pulsed alarmingly bright and drifted towards you to protect and warn of a stranger as they sensed your unease.
“You know you don’t have to listen to them.”
“I know.” He smiles, and that only makes you hurt more. To see someone so kind having to deal with such pressure. “I grew up with it. But you haven’t, y/n. There’s no point in giving weight to their gossip.”
“But they-“ They were talking about you. Right in front of me. As if they knew I was a weakness they could exploit.
“Which is well within their right. You don’t have to fight my battles. Just being here by side is more than enough.”
You wish it was. You wish that you could be as much support to him as he was to you. Yet, the gentle way he looks at you, lashes a curtain, and the careful touches he leaves on your skin make you feel like he does know.
“Sometimes I just worry that they’re taking advantage of your kindness.”
“My kindness is only for you to take advantage of.”
Blushing, you’d have hit him if you weren’t so touched. Why was he so good at dissipating worry in you? To be able to assure you with only a few words?
“You’re getting too good at this. Why do you always have the right words when I need them the most?” I just wish I could help you with what you hold dear too.
“Words can only have a positive effect if and when you are ready to listen.”
“See, you’re doing it again.” Downplaying his importance. “It’s not just words… Everything about you is comforting.”
You hugged him a little tighter, trying to show him just how important he is, hoping he knows how much you care. Because you do. A lot. And you hate to think that he thinks that he likes he more when he means so much to you.
“And you’re doing it again too. Flattering me.”
Not enough. You think.
“If you’re worth anything in the future, you are worth something now. All those that make you feel lesser are doing it because they are lesser than you – a lesser person. Hwang Minhyun, you have the biggest heart out of everyone I know – and maybe it because you have large hands,” you throw in when you see the doubtful look he’s wearing. “But wheat is wheat, even if they tell you it’s grass in the beginning.”
“Did you just compare me to wheat?” He laughed, mouth wide in disbelief.
“Is that all you got out of what I said?!”
The nerve of him! Future ruler of the realms be damned-
He threaded his hand over yours until palms touched.
“And that you like my hands.”
The pointed glare you give him would have made a lesser fox cower, however many tails they may have between their legs.
“I swear, Hwang Min-“ You let him pull you back onto his lap, resisting the urge to bury yourself closer. Letting him rest his chin on your head. Rubbing circles over your skin.
“What else I have gathered...”
He pulled away to hold your locked hands by his lips, leaving them there to ghost for a moment, brushing over slim fingers with the barest hint of a kiss.
”Shall I also tell you that I fell a little more in love with you? Or will that give you too much power over me?”
Power my ass, you’d have shouted if it was anyone other than Minhyun. That man-boy rendered you speechless too often for your liking. He was the one that transcended yin and yang, future emperor of the magical realms.
The one who had power over you.
“You’re still the same as when we were younger, not even two weeks of meeting again and you’re already saying you love me.”
“But I do!” Minhyun’s eyes disappear as he laughs, as if the mere thought of him not being enamoured by you was the most ludicrous thing he'd ever happened upon.
“You’re in luck then,” auspicious things, these fox spirits. Always got what they wanted.
You bumped your nose against his in protest, giggling a little when he scrunches his face and shivers at the unexpected show of affection at such a sensitive spot.
It’s too late to try and leave now even if you want to, you lament. No creature should be blessed the power of having all the stars align in their favour. But Minhyun has already built a home in your heart and stayed.
“I love you too.”
note.  it’s written in 酉陽雜俎 that nine-tailed fox spirits can transcend yin/yang. if you’ve read other instalments of this series, you’ll know that yin/yang is the basis of energy in-universe, so the fact that minhyun transcends them means that he’s the most powerful as far as abilities go – hence, the emperor title.

knock out // park jihoon
*˙˚○ boxer! park jihoon (based on the beautiful mv) feat. the rest of wanna one
*˙˚○ fluffy and tad bit of angst
*˙˚○ 3.4k words
*˙˚○ summary: he's always been there for you, but you need a little help realizing it
Tumblr media
Being the daughter of the owner of a boxing club has its perks. Not only do you have impromptu bodyguards whenever a newbie to a club joins but you also get to be friends with the most dorkiest people you've ever met albeit their abilities to kick someone's ass in a split second.
"(Y/N)!! Let's go have lunch together," Daniel called out to you as he hung his sweaty body over the side lines of the boxing ring. You accepted his offer, clearing away the documents that your father had ordered you to organize just so you could use your time wisely during your summer holiday, as you recalled your father nagging at you about your professionalism at being a couch potato. As Daniel rallied the other boys to have lunch, you notified your father about the offer and he only replied you with a wary look before allowing you the permission to leave.
With a quick tight hug, you waved to your father and ran to catch up with the other boys who had already freshened up from their tiresome training. Just as you jogged up to them, they were already debating on the restaurant to have their lunch at. If it weren't for you, their constant arguments wouldn't be pacified.
"Now, now boys. If you keep squawking about it, we will never get to eat," You groaned, pushing Jihoon and Sungwoon to the side while you squeeze in between the both of them to join in on the conversation.
"Who says you can make the decisions, shortie?" Jihoon scoffs jokingly as he eyes you up and down. You rolled your eyes before retorting back with your sickeningly sweet voice.
"If it weren't for my generous father, you would have been placed at the sidelines instead, honey," You chuckled as the other guys hollered at your remark. Park Jihoon was one of your father's prized boxers although he was quite young to be boxing professionally, your father saw bursting potential in him and gave it a shot to train him tirelessly and sign him up for competitions that were suitable for his age. You've gotten to know all the boys and had become very close friends with all of them, especially Jihoon, with him always being the first person your father would talk or nag to. With all the nagging he had gotten first hand, the both of you had a common ground to vent to each other about the constant impromptu lectures your father would hold for the both of you, whether it would be about the sport or not. It was unspoken between the both of you but you guys had developed a brother-sister type of friendship between each other and of course the fighting and teasing would come with the package of being in that kind of friendship.
-
"Wah, you sure eat like a pig," Jihoon chuckled as he watched you inhale the burger that all of you decided to have for lunch.
"Stop trying to push Sungwoon's comments about you to me. Accept your fate, dumbass," You widened your eyes at his teasing as you returned to stuffing your face and your empty stomach before you had to continue your tiring shift once all of you went back to the centre.
"Yah, if you guys quarrel one more time, I'm planning the wedding," Jaehwan teased as he avoided a flying fry that was thrown towards him by none other than Park Jihoon himself. With all the constant quarreling, you have never seen Jihoon as someone you would take as a love interest and only saw him as a brotherly figure. Well, you figured with all the name-calling and teasing, you wouldn't want someone who treated you so lowly. You did remember some of the words your father had lectured you when he found you hanging out with a friend he didn't know off, reminding you that your future husband had to treat you like a queen, just like how he did with your late mother.
Without realizing, Jihoon had picked up a napkin, swiping it across the side of your cheek where a stain of ketchup was left from your previous bite of burger. You flinched at the sudden touch, breaking away from your deep thoughts and instead into his eyes with a surprised look on your face as you tried to grasp onto the situation.
"What? You were so deep in thought about who knows what that you didn't even feel that large splat of ketchup on your face. Besides, we wouldn't want you to look like an idiot in front of Daniel, right?" He smirked as he returned his attention back onto his burger, the taste of it turning bland on his tastebuds. You looked at the seat furthest away from you where Daniel sat, his eyes turning into crescents as a wide smile was plastered on his face from a joke that Seongwoo had just told. Your hands instinctively wiped onto the side of your face that Jihoon had swiped the napkin on as you heaved a sigh of relief to see that there was no ketchup stain left on your fingers from when you touched it.
Unbeknownst to you and Jihoon, Jinyoung and Daehwi who sat in the opposite seats stared in utter disappointment, their eyes trailing back to Jihoon who looked back at them with confusion in his eyes. Daehwi mouthed your name to him, even without actually mentioning it, it got him to blush a bright red as he stuffed his mouth further in fries. He accepted his fate that you would never see him more than just a brotherly figure, and just a friend.
-
"Darling, I'm leaving to go fetch your sister from work. She's down with a fever so close up the place for me, okay? Remember-" Your father was about to remind you about the safety precautions and the daily closing up routine before you interrupted him.
"Make sure that every single lock is locked and that none of the boys stay later than 10pm and make sure they clean their mess up. I got this Dad. So go, save her dumb butt before she overworks herself again," You chuckled as you hugged your father tightly before he went off to fetch your sick sister.
You sat at your desk, the documents and bills displayed out in order as your attention was somewhere else. You watched the sparring of Jihoon and Daniel, their attacks getting sloppier as time passed by. You couldn't help yourself from looking at Daniel's strong physique - his broad shoulders that topped everyone else's and his abs that showed when his shirt clung onto his sweaty body. A blush crept onto your face as a pair of eyes caught your staring. Daniel chuckled as he blocked Jihoon's punch effortlessly. Your best friend had seen the way you smiled nervously yet sweetly at Daniel as he tried his best to restrain himself from hurting his sparring partner more than he should. He had already decided that he would not interfere with your love life but why did it feel so wrong?
-
"Don't forget to clean your disgusting sweat off the mats and equipment. And also make sure you guys turn off the water heater in the guy's washroom," You shouted loud enough for them to hear as you packed away the documents and kept the bills in your bag for your dad to handle later. After putting everything back into place as it did that morning, you slung your bag over your shoulder and started locking all the locks in the building - which wasn't much since it was only the locks on the register, windows and the locks that keep the equipments safe. After bidding farewell to the boys one by one, you hadn't realized you had one last guy to bid farewell before you closed the main entrance.
"You done yet?" Jihoon called out as he adjusted his bag strap on his shoulder. Maybe it was due to the fact that JIhoon was always the last one to go that you got used to his presence.
"Yeah, We just need to get the hell out of here then I can lock the main entrance," You stated as you made your way outside only to see Daniel leaning against a pillar beside the doors. You raised your brow at him -  He was never one to stay back and would always run off the earliest with Seongwoo to have their supper before they headed back home. But tonight was different.
"Hey (Y/N), if you're okay with it, can I walk you home today?" He smiled his signature bunny smile as he rubbed the back of his neck. You could hear your heart pounding through your ears as you suddenly noticed the close proximity between the both of you. Before confirming, you looked towards Jihoon - he had always walked you home and you knew that if he wouldn't be able to, he would have already gone home a long time ago. Jihoon looked back at you with a tight constricted smile on his face as he gave you a thumbs up before walking his way back home, his head hung low as he stuffed his fists into his pockets.
Little did you know, tears began to flow from his eyes as a painful lump formed in his throat. Even if it would put his happiness at hand, he would still have it your way - to make you happy no matter what.
-
"So, what's the sudden invitation for?" You managed to bring up the words that had been stuck in your head during your walk home.
"Before I ask you this, I need you to close your eyes. Don't worry, I'll hold your hand and guide you as your walking," He chuckled nervously as he offered you his hand, a rare occurrence for Daniel to ask when he would usually just plop his sweaty body onto you every time he was over with practice. Hesitantly, you took his hand slowly as you start to freeze up, your movements becoming stiff. After a few more seconds, Daniel finally spoke up, giving you directions of what you would imagine.
"Okay think as if you're back at your usual desk at work. Now think about the first person you see when you enter the place and then think about the next earliest person and so on"
Without a doubt you would think about your father first, him being very strict about punctuality. And then Jihoon came into your sight, a teasing smile adorning his face as he hands you a cup of your favourite beverage to energize you through the day. After Jihoon passes by your desk, you imagine the younger ones strolling in, rambling about the latest games and on what console they should buy next. Of course their discussion would end with your father yapping at them to do their work as they scrambled to get into proper clothing in the washroom. Then came in the older ones except Jisung and Minhyun who had already found a job at the cafe just a few blocks from your workplace. Seongwoo would attempt to crack a smile from you with one of his jokes only to be betrayed when you laugh from Jaehwan's contagious laughter due to Seongwoo's ultimate failure. Even though it was a daily occurrence. Last but not least, Daniel comes strolling in the latest, as he crawls behind you to save him from the merciless scolding of your father. Too busy with trying to save his ass, he bumps into you which in turn makes you groan in pain. You smile at the scene as you open one of your eyes at Daniel.
"What are you getting at Kang Daniel?"
"I'm not done yet (Y/N) geez, have some patience. Ok now imagine this, of course ignoring the factor, that is your dad, imagine the first person that came in and compare them to the rest. Not on looks or anything, we all know I got it but it's based on the person's actions with you, you got what I said?" Daniel nervously smiled, his two front tooth showing from underneath his pink lips.
Then it hit you.
Park Jihoon occupied your mind, suddenly all of his actions were noticed by you. How he would smile shyly whenever you thanked him for the pastries that came along with the beverage he got you for breakfast but quickly hiding it with a teasing remark that would get on your nerve. He would always give you a cheeky wink before he started his practice, not really having an effect you as you brushed it off as a friendly gesture. But little did you know he had hopes in him that maybe he would tug at your heartstrings, even just a little.
"You're really terrible at hiding your facial expressions," Daniel chuckled as he ruffled your hair. Without knowing, you had already reached your home, your feet inches away from your gate as you mouth went agape. You looked back up at him, a smirk plastered on his face as he warmed his hands up in the pockets of his jacket.
"Don't try to run away from work tomorrow, alright? You probably have everything figured out with that face you're making," He smiled once more before he bid you goodbye and went back on the route to the nearest bus station. Have it all figured out? You had your assumptions but you were still skeptical about the numerous thoughts floating about your head. Did Jihoon really see you in that kind of light?
-
"(Y/N)...(Y/N)!" Daehwi called out for you as you shot up from your desk. You hadn't had much sleep the night before that the fatigue only managed to settle down on you that morning. You wiped your eyes in hopes that maybe you'll be able to remain awake for your last few hours of work before you could finally get home where there would be no Park Jihoon to invade your mind.
"Sorry Daehwi," you mumbled. "What's up?" You smiled up at him as you leaned your head onto the palm of your hand.
"You've been out of it lately. Jihoon tried to wake you up when he came in but he said you were completely knocked out. We thought you literally fainted," Daehwi sighed exasperatedly as a nervous Jinyoung stood by his side, both of their worried expressions tripping you into a pile of guilt.
"I'm fine, guys. I'm sorry for worrying the both of you though, I just didn't get much sleep last night, that's all," You waved your hand to brush off the subject, making it seem like the subject wasn't as serious as they thought it was.
"We're not the only ones you have to apologize to you know. Jihoon almost got KO'ed during his previous sparring match if it weren't for your dad screaming his lungs out. He kept getting distracted and I bet we all know what it's all about. So you better get your ass to apologize to that poor boy," Daehwi raised a brow as he headed back to the mats where the rest of the group were having their break. It must have been a few hours since they were already having their break - they only took one break during their whole training in a day and that only happens in the mid point of the duration.
You eyed Daehwi and Jinyoung's movements as they returned to the group, your eyes eventually falling onto Jihoon's back where he sat beside Woojin. And he was uncomfortably quiet. You could even see the way Woojin looked awkward even with Jihoon by his side. Did you really worry him that much?
After stretching out your limbs, you shot up from your seat and headed towards the boys as well. You could feel their eyes on you when they heard the screeching of your chair. And in a split second their serious expressions turned into wide smiles and comfortable noise as they teased you about your impromptu slumber. Jihoon looked up at you, scoffing softly before returning his attention to putting his water bottle between his lips.
"Jihoon? Can we talk?" Water spurted out of his mouth as Woojin shielded himself from the sudden water fountain Jihoon had created. Even with the water works that took place, everyone turned dead silent as Jihoon wiped his mouth clean with the towel that hung around his neck as he got up from his seat on the floor.
"You feeling better?" He asked as the both of you stopped to talk outside the building where there wouldn't be any intrusive eyes watching the both of you. You nodded your head as you sat on one of the steps, patting the ground beside you for him to sit as he did so.
"So... What is it that you wanted to talk about?" Jihoon asked as he he looked at you, making your heart beat speed up - something that you would have deemed unimaginable before the conversation you had with Daniel.
"Well... You know when I walked home with Daniel?" You said as you recalled last night.
"Yeah. Wait, are you apologizing? Because if you are then you're being a complete idiot. You like the guy don't you? I wouldn't have let you go if you didn't," He asked as he looked back into the streets, the buildings he walked past almost every day becoming more interesting all of a sudden.
"Ye- I guess so. But, we talked about something. Uhmm, about someone close," You mumbled your last few words as you tucked your legs close to your chest as your fingers start to fumble with your shoelaces.
"What do you mean 'I guess so'? You always ogle him whenever he flexes a muscle. Geez, did you get over him that quickly?" He chuckled as he leaned backwards, his arms supporting his back as he did so. He seemed more relaxed when you had mentioned it but of course, with the close proximity between the both of you, none of your words went unnoticed.
"So who is it that you guys talked abou-"
"About you," You interrupted him, your emotions transforming into a bigger mess as you held onto your legs tightly, afraid that he might see the way your chest was moving up and down in a fast pace, your breathing becoming uneven at the thought of attacking the subject.
Jihoon froze in his spot, his relaxed posture being replaced by a stiff and upright one as he looked towards the ground, and never back at you.
"D-Daniel asked me to imagine a few scenarios and I thought he was pulling my leg but. But it turns out, he was just trying to make me realize something. Jihoon?" You called out his name as you hesitantly looked at him, admiring his soft features that you used to call hideous and his strong physique that you would have called weak. He looked back up at you as his eyes dazzled in the light.
"I think I like you," You whispered. Your words took him aback as he tried to absorb the information you had just given him. Was he dreaming? He pinched himself a little too hard earning a small hiss from himself as he rubbed the spot.
"I'm not dreaming right?" He chuckled nervously as he looked back into your eyes, his face being inches away from yours. Your eyes wandered from his eyes and then to his lips, your gaze returning to his eyes again. You shook your head, his face beginning to close the distance between the both of you.
"Then, can I kiss you?" He whispered, as you felt his warm breath fanning your cheek. You couldn't muster a reply, your words stuck in your throat. Instead, you took the ends of his towel that was around his neck and pulled him towards you, lips colliding. You felt a wave of comfortable warmth wash over you as your hands reached for his face while his hands grabbed your waist firmly. As soon as the both of you broke apart, the both of you burst out laughing a second later, giddy from the overwhelming realization that the feelings were now mutual.
"So, can I call you mine now, shortie?" He teased as he tucked a few stray stands of your hair behind your ear.
"That's if you can beat Daniel's cute ass," You giggled as you begrudgingly left his side to enter the building, Jihoon clambering to follow you.
If only Daniel saw the number of bruises that was coming his way.

Our Little Coffee Shop|Part 1
Member: Park Woojin
Genre: angsty/fluffy
Word Count: 1086 words
Summary: You were new to the area and you end up meeting a cute guy at a coffee shop. You realise as you get to your new school that the guy you started to fall for was the coldest guy at school.
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 (final)
Tumblr media
It was the holidays, you were new to town, you were starting school in a week. Right next to your new house you found a comfy, cute coffee shop with amazing homemade treats and really good coffee. Every single day you'd come here to either read, study or have just a break. You've been going there everyday for a month so the staff know you well and sometimes you get a free drink. You were so scared to go to school, you weren't the most social person and you didn't know anyone really. You were suddenly snapped out of your thoughts because a cute but sweaty boy came running into the cafe. You studied him, he had dark black with a twinge of grey hair but it was all damp and sweaty. He was wearing slacks and a plain t shirt with white shoes, you could see his defined jawline and smooth skin. He looked at you dead in the eye and you nearly squeaked, he was really good looking. He smirked and you cursed in your head, he saw you looking at him, he gave you a quick smile and collected his order. As he went out the door he gave you a small wink which was so quick you think you were imagining. Your heart quickened and “shit” you thought “this can't be happening I haven't ever felt like this” “AND ITS FOR A BLOODY STRANGER!” You calm yourself after a lot of freaking out and just convince yourself it's a one time thing.
The next day you come in and again there he is walking through the door to order. You notice he's in casual clothing with headphones around his neck. He orders and unbeknownst to you he checks if you're looking at him. You aren't because you didn't want to get caught again. When he collects his order and leaves you look at him one last time and he winks at you again. And there your heart goes again fluttering for a random stranger. This happens three times more and it's always the same thing. There were small things you pick up that he always has headphones with him and that his order is always a cappuccino with a shot of hazelnut and extra froth.
 He didn't come for the next two days and every single time you left the cafe your heart sank hoping you could even get a glimpse at him. The day before school started you were a bundle of nerves. You couldn't even focus on your book and your fingers were drumming on the table a nervous habit of yours. You hear the door swing open you're not bothered to check for the cute guy because he obviously wasn't coming. You heard the door close and you could hear someone coming towards you. It was one of the waitresses she gave you a takeaway cup of coffee, as she was giving it to you she said “the guy that you always stare at, ordered and paid for this for you to drink.” You look at her flabbergasted, “no way, you mean the guy with dark grey hair and the headphones?” “That's the one” she said with a wink. You look at the cup and there it says “don't frown, smile! you look prettier smiling. hope this helps! -park woojin.” You do smile just like he says and you can't help but think how sweet he is. You take a sip and you're so surprised it's your favourite a vanilla latte. He remembered your order from the time the waitress called out yours. You heart flutters and you shoot up to cloud 9.
That night all you could do was think about him, making you think what if he's in my grade? what if he's in my home room? what if he has a girlfriend? what if he's a fuckboy? These sorts of thoughts are the only things which were running through your head but your heart couldn't help but warm at the thought of him buying you a coffee to cheer you up and even remembering your order. The next day you get to school and everything goes smoothly, one of the waitresses at the cafe which you became close with, is in your home room thankfully so you're not a complete loner. As you wait for the school bell to ring, you hear whispers about the five. The five most popular boys, all gorgeous, talented and smart but they never talk to anyone except for themselves. They were cold to everyone around them except for the people on their sports teams. You hear only two of their names “park jihoon and lai guanlin” who were the star athletes. Just as you were about to ask your friend who they were, the teacher walked in. As the teacher droned on about the new school year and how everyone should work hard. A student walked in, you couldn't see his face because his back was facing you. All the girls were whispering excitedly but you were focused on the guy. He was wearing the school uniform, black pants, black blazer with school emblem and a white buttoned up shirt which was untucked and a loose tie. You saw red headphones around the guy's neck. As you slowly realised who it was, he turned to face the class which was also your direction. His eyes met yours and you could see the flash of surprise in them. But they turned blank in a second. You couldn't help but hide your surprise and hurt that he was so cold not even a nod and just a cold passive look. The teacher told him to take a seat after he apologised for being late. You took another look at him but he didn't even look near your direction. Then you heard the girls near you whisper “that’s park woojin, one of the five, the dancer and the coldest.” “Did you hear that a girl confessed and he told her to grow up and that love is useless?” Park Woojin you slowly said under your breath. It felt natural and so right to say. You took one more glance at him and right at that moment he gave you a glance. You saw it and even for that split second of eye contact, your heart beat faster and faster, the daunting realisation was coming to you
You were falling for the coldest and most unattainable guy at school, Park Woojin.
This is my first scenario ever so I hope you enjoyed it! I’m dedicating this scenario to @woojiniee because she’s such a sweetheart and an amazing writer. Also she encouraged my lazy ass finally start this blog. But thank you for reading!

Boys Over Kitten Crowns
Tumblr media
A gasp passed your lips, as you caught sight of the small little kitten pushing through your dog door into your house. It was your kitten of course, the little thing was only four months old but seemed to have more things to do than you did. A little flower crown adorning your small kitten’s head once more, sighing as you shook your head, just wanting to know where the hell these crowns were coming from.
For the past three weeks your kitten had a schedule, leave around three in the afternoon and then return around six in the evening with a little flower crown adorning your head. Every time you tried to find the person creating them, you came home to no avail, never being able to find anyone that could have been making them.
“Jeno.” You said, picking up the little ginger bundle of fur from the floor. The little flower crown hanging low on his head, it was probably the twentieth flower crown you had seen little Jeno come home wearing. You just wanted to know who your little baby was hanging around every afternoon, since you knew there had to be someone, since they made these flower crowns.
Taking the flower crown and placing it on a table, you placed the little fur ball down, letting Jeno run over to his food bowl to eat. “What am I going to do with you?” You mused, before going to the kitchen to get herself something to eat.
The pattern continued for a few more weeks, it was nearing two months when you had finally decided to see exactly where your kitten was going every afternoon. As you peeped out your door, watching as Jeno ran across the sidewalk, towards the usually vacant house next to her’s. Jeno simply went into the house through the dog door, like it wasn’t the first time he had done the action.
You was more taken aback at how you hadn’t realized you had new neighbors, but it really shows just how antisocial you happened to be. Ducking back into your house, just as some guy walked out of the neighboring house’s door. You couldn’t deny, he was quite attractive, yet you had more important things to worry about, rather than an attractive neighbor.
You simply went back to doing house work, cleaning the kitchen so you wouldn’t have to the next day. Before long it was well past six, nearing eight, and Jeno hadn’t returned as usual. You started fearing what might have happened, your worst fears coming to light over the thought of your only companion being gone.
Stepping out your door, you looked for the little ginger fur ball, only to see your empty yard. “Jeno?” You called out, doubting he’d reply since he wasn’t a dog, but it was worth a try. “Jeno?” You called out again, starting to look around your house, wondering if little Jeno possibly got stuck or something.
Your looking for him was cut short, as you rounded the corner of your house, seeing your neighbor’s house door open. In the door way stood a man, a different man than the one you had seen earlier, holding little Jeno, this time with a purple flower crown on his head. It was him, he was the one that Jeno had been sneaking away every evening to be with, he probably offered Jeno food and his fat little butt started going daily since he wanted more food.
“Jeno!” You cried out, rushing forward, just as the strange man set the little kitten down on the ground. Scooping the small kitten up, it’s flower crown falling as you did, holding him close to her. “I was so worried about you little boy.” You murmured, holding the softly meowing kitten close to her.
The strange man with brown hair look a step closer, after seeing the little orange kitten run right to this woman. The kitten he had taken to calling Hope’s owner no doubt, he knew such a sweet little kitten couldn’t be wild. “I guess this little one is yours?” A male’s voice, the man that had just let your kitten out, said.
You nodded your head, looking up, seeing the man’s captivating brown eyes before her. “Yeah, he’s mine.” You told him, looking at him you was angered at herself, for two months you hadn’t bothered to introduce yourself to the new neighbors. And now after meeting one of them, you were regretting it, regretting it badly. “And I guess you’re the reason he comes home every evening with a little flower crown?” You asked in return.
The man shortly laughed, thinking about how this whole time he had called the kitten Hope, swearing it was a girl; yet, he was wrong once more, and it was a boy. “And you would be correct, she, I mean he, wears them much easier than my own cats Peter and Rooney do. Plus I do think he looks quite adorable in them.” He told her.
“Well, I can’t deny it, he does often look adorable wearing them. And he has a name, Jeno.” You told him, petting the little kitten in your arms, as the man in front of your picked up the fallen flower crown. Placing it on Jeno’s head, as you bowed your head slightly in thanks.
The man nodded, watching how the little kitten was being so affectionate in his owners arms. “I also have a name Daniel.” He told her, with a wink. Daniel was definitely interested in this girl in front of him, he wishing he hadn’t gone with what Seongwoo suggested and had met his neighbors before, instead of waiting them to come to his house.
Nodded your head, telling him your name, as a soft blush covered your face as the guy winked. Before long, shortly after eight had changed to half after nine, as their conversation wound down they both resigned to their respective houses, unknown to them that this had started more than just a friendship.
Through Daniel, you  had met Seongwoo, that guy you had seen leaving days before. Their friendship started easily enough, the three amigos in a way, yet it didn’t stay that way. Catching Daniel and Seongwoo fighting, something about a girl both liked, and they were arguing over who should get to ask your out first.
You just assumed it was someone they both knew, automatically assuming it wouldn’t be you, since they could get any girl in town, why you. Yet, you were wrong also. Both practically racing to your house hours later, coming at a stalemate as who should be able to admit their feelings first. It would have been easy, if only one had pulled at your heartstrings in a way; however, both had.
It took close to an hour to calm them down, talk them into leaving and going home so you could decide. But deciding wasn’t something you wanted to do, how could you pick between the kitten flower crowns Daniel constant makes, and how Seongwoo could single handily made your day bright with just one action. You couldn’t, and you refused to pick.
The idea was stupid your friend recommended, Jennie saying why pick one when you could date both. And it didn’t help that Jisoo, Lisa, and Haneul backed her up, saying it would be a great idea. Lisa going as far as to say they might completely be up for the idea, especially seeing how they themselves couldn’t decide who should ask you out.
You knew the idea was stupid, and it felt even more stupid when both were sitting before you, waiting for you to pick. “I refuse to pick.” You simply told them. “I can’t pick between both of my best friends that I care for very much. And if you aren’t fine with that, I’m sorry, but I’m not changing.”
It shocked you when the words polyamorous relationship passed your lips, but what shocked you worse was how the boys just nodded. No, she’s my girl, and no, I refuse to share. You were shocked at how easily they agreed, almost like it wasn’t the first time they had thought of a relationship like this. Yet, you tried not to dwell on it too much.
The thought of a polyamorous relationship was something you never thought would happen to you; yet it was. The idea that you originally refused, claiming it disgusted you, had made you very happy and Jennie to claim she was a freaking genius and love guru.
You thought things would change, they didn’t, for the most part. They were still your closest friends, just with a bit more affection involved than normal friends, okay a lot more affection involved than normal friends. Yet, you loved it, being able to be with both, without having to break the other’s heart.
Group outings became common, to most people you just seemed like a group of friends instead of a couple. Possibly the ‘hidden’ secret of actually being a couple was something you loved, the way you three could go out and for the most part not have to hide your love. The way people often just passed you off as three friends, without even having a thought about you three being anything else.
Evening flower crowns for Jeno turned into evening walks with Daniel and Seongwoo, and it was really something you enjoyed. Yet, today was a bit different, as you and Daniel walked along the sidewalk, his arm wrapped around you holding you close, Seongwoo was off in the distance jumping fences and running across the road.
“PARKOUR!” Seongwoo yelled, as he jumped over a small barrier someone had put up to separate their yard and the side walk. After that, he ran across the street, jumping another fence as he yelled parkour once more. Then he ran across the road again, just barely missing getting hit by a car.
You had finally had enough of his stunts, his dumb ass stunts, sighing as he kept scaling fences and running across the road. “Stop yelling parkour when you jump fences and running across the road. It’s very dangerous and a horribly inefficient detour, get back here!” You finally yelled at him, knowing Daniel probably wouldn’t say anything.
Seongwoo sheepishly smiled, as you yelled at him. He then immediately ran from where he was on the opposite side of the street, to your side. He took your hand in his, kissing your forehead as he mumbled an apology. Shortly after Daniel shortly laughed, before kissing the other side of your forehead, as the three of you continued on your way home to the waiting movie and cuddles with Peter, Rooney, and Jeno.

Merry Go Round
Tumblr media
The nickname 'stone face' wasn't earned by Hwang Minhyun for nothing. Yet with such a handsome face, the cold image was still lingering all over him because he was well-known to be very quiet. This didn't stop Jung Yesoo from confessing to him 2 years ago. Standing before Yesoo, who was anxious waiting for his answer, Minhyun still maintained the facial expression that makes everyone reluctant to approach him. But slowly he showed his little smile. Great amount of shyness was unexpectedly oozed from that little smile that slowly got wider. Yes, he accepted her.
Both Minhyun and Yesoo were a shy couple in the first 100 days. It felt like riding a roller coaster for children. No big, scary, nerve racking ups and downs, but the excited feeling was there. Aside from that, Yesoo's friends could tell that she was genuinely happy. A fresh smile was always attached on her face. She barely had a bad day. Because seeing Minhyun itself had become her main source of happiness, although Minhyun didn't talk much or do sweet things to her.
And so the days went on. The ride had changed to merry go round. The happiness was still there, but it just went round and round with constant speed although the view was beautiful. Minhyun still had his usual smile. Yesoo still smiled, yet she felt different. The fond feeling of Minhyun didn't change. Yet she couldn't help thinking that something was a bit off.
Yesoo was too afraid to spill it on Minhyun.
"Chuseok holiday is coming. Do you want to go somewhere?" Yesoo asked. They were enjoying a lunch date in Hongdae. Lunch date is a must on the weekend since that's the only time they have to see each other.
Minhyun nodded. But Yesoo couldn't tell if he was excited, if he was anticipating about it, or maybe if he was at least interested. They were going to one year and 9 months together, and Yesoo couldn't believe herself that she didn't know much about Minhyun. She can't even read his mind or his expression. She wouldn't know if Minhyun probably was the opposite who knows everything about her since he never really talked about it. "Where do you want to go?" he asked back.
"I was thinking about Deukryang Island. But that would be too far, I guess."
"Well, we can make option list."
Yesoo nodded.
After paying the bills, they were ready to go outside when Yesoo almost reached out her arm to hold Minhyun's hand. Suddenly her mind was full of thoughts of her relationship. She just remembered, after all this time, she was the one who did the moves first. Confession, first date, second date, third date, and even holding hands.
"Yesoo?" he called, already several steps ahead.
"Yeah, coming up." She finally grabbed her beloved boyfriend's hand.
~~~~
Yesoo stomped her steps as she finished her work early. Her colleagues already bid her good bye. The time showed that it was only 2 PM. Suddenly it crossed her mind that Minhyun's office was nearby. A visit once in a while would be harmless, right?
She tried to call him but no answer. Her lips pouted as she redialled her phone. This time he picked up, which enlightened her expression.
"Hey, I'm near your office. You know, that cafe across your office building."
"Oh, yeah."
Yesoo's smile slowly faded. She could imagine how Minhyun was on the phone, with his plain, expressionless face, and his attention all over to his computer screen, working on anything he was working on. She continued speaking, "I was thinking if we could meet for a minute, or two. I'm buying you coffee and some snack."
"Sorry, it's not that I don't want to meet you, but work is piling up right now."
The smile was completely gone on her face. She just faked one when talking. "Oh, okay. It's alright. Let's meet once you're not busy."
"Mm-hmm. I'll text you later."
"Sure."
"I'm hanging up."
"Okay." She glanced at the coffee and bread she had bought. Fortunately, she only bought what she liked, so she could have them later.
 Meanwhile at the same time, Minhyun who was concentrating on his new project got startled by Jisoo who suddenly popped up out of nowhere. "Was it your girlfriend?" he asked with excitement oozing out of his eyes.
The word 'girlfriend' successfully attracted everyone's attention and they started to cheer. Because who would have a thought that this stone-face actually has a girlfriend?
"What? Hwang Minhyun? Girlfriend?"
"Really? Heol, daebak."
Thanks to Jisoo, now Minhyun couldn't focus on his work.
The chattering went on until his supervisor showed up and joined the crowd. "Your girlfriend is here? Then you should come down and meet her. I suppose you haven't had your lunch break."
"No, Raina noona, it's fine. I'm almost finished."
"Hwang Minhyun, do you want me to turn off your computer this very moment?" Raina bend her body and put her thumb on Minhyun's computer's power button. She didn't seem to play around, especially recalling how eccentric she was. "Then go down this instant. Your work can wait for a while."
"Yes, Ma'am." He quickly stood up before Raina started rambling again, or worse.
Minhyun stopped by in rest room to wash his face. His face and body muscles got stiff from not moving from his workspace. He massaged his wet face before he got tissues to dry it.
His eyes landed at the mirror before him, gazing at his own reflection for a moment. Fair skin, not so thick eyebrows, squinted monolid eyes, fine nose, and thin lips. Not to mention a sharp jaw. Stone face, huh? Well, he always put a serious expression that he never realized. His sense of fashion also matched the 'stone face' concept, as his closet was full of plain black, grey, white or brown colored outfit. Whenever he went out with Yesoo, whose clothes were mostly colorful or have patterns, the contrast of their outfit was very clear.
Before leaving the rest room, he once again took a look at himself who was wearing black shirt and grey trousers. He gave himself some pats on his shoulder and chest, probably to brush off some dust sticking on his clothes.
He dialed Yesoo's number as he speeded up his steps to go after her girlfriend, who he assumed was still in the restaurant she mentioned. Or at least if she had left, she wouldn't be very far. Yesoo not picking up his call finally made him run through emergency stairs from the 5th floor instead of using elevator. He headed to the restaurant across the street right away.
At least Minhyun was right about his girlfriend not leaving the restaurant yet. But who she was with there apparently poked his curiosity.
"Yesoo!" he called her. Yet she didn't even flinch. Minhyun could tell that Yesoo finally recognized him after given signs from her 'friend'.
At last, Yesoo turned her head to where Hui's eyes stopped. An instant smile grew on her face and she immediately got up approaching the tall guy. She reached her arm to link to him. "Did you have lunch? Do you want me to order something for you? Coffee?"
Minhyun, smiling and looking at his girl in the eyes, shook his head. "I'm good. But coffee would be great."
Yesoo smiled back. She escorted him to her seat, where Hui awkwardly waited for his friend to come back. "I'll be right back," she said as she patted Minhyun's back when he sat across Hui. "By the way, this is my friend, Hwitaek, or Hui for short. Hui, this is boyfriend, Minhyun."
Both guys bowed their heads and said hi. Once Yesoo left to the cashier, only awkward silence lingered around them. Thank goodness she didn't go away for long.
"Here's your coffee." She handed the tall cup to Minhyun and took a seat between the guys.
"So, I assume we work in the same building." Hui started conversation when he noticed the same access card hanging on Minhyun's neck.
"Yeah, I'm on the fifth floor."
"Oh, cool. Seonho and Guanlin are there too, right? Anyway, I'm on the second floor."
"Yeah." Minhyun calmly sipped his coffee. Then he didn't say any single word.
Having finished all the food, Hui finally excused himself leaving the couple. Just because. "Anyway.. It's nice to meet you guys, but I have to go back." He continued, "Yesoo, it's great to see you again. I'll talk to you later, okay?"
Yesoo nodded, waving her friend a good bye, alongside Minhyun who was bowing to him.
"Yesoo, I think I should go back too."
She pouted. "Already?" She was not usually clingy. But there were times when she wanted to be that clingy girlfriend. She never tried it though. It would be weird if she was being clingy out of the blue, especially to the stone-face guy like Minhyun, who was her own boyfriend, who didn't seem to be able to spoil his own girlfriend. "But I want to stay longer," she mumbled.
"Sorry," he replied. His expression didn't change a bit. "I'll call you later." With that, he got up after patting her head twice. He threw a little smile at her before leaving.
 ~~~
 Fall season was approaching very soon. Yesoo couldn't wait for the falling leaves all over the street. Autumn was Yesoo's favorite season, and Minhyun's too. This year was going to be their second time enjoying autumn together. Last autumn they went to Han river almost every weekend, having a picnic. Sometimes they went for a hike too in nearby mountains.
Yesoo had finished putting her summer clothes in a box after taking out all her autumn clothes. She had spared a few pieces for the last days of summer. Just in time when she had to find her cocktail midi dress and her only one high heels. She was getting ready for accompanying Minhyun to his company dinner, which allowed the workers to bring their plus one. As for Minhyun's case, his colleagues were the one who encouraged him to bring Yesoo. They seemed to be very enthusiastic to meet Hwang Minhyun's girlfriend.
It was rare for Yesoo to attend those fancy events. Her outfits were mostly smart casual. Or just casual. She didn't have much make up kit and tools too. She only had basic skin care, some BB cream or CC cream, foundation, and mascara. And, of course, some lipstick or lip tints. That day was going to be her very first time dolling herself up for Minhyun. By dolling up, it meant that after doing her base, she was just going to add blush and eye shadows using lipstick she had. That should be enough to give some colors.
She decided to leave her hair untied after she tried curling it a little. She brushed her hair with her fingers for the finishing touch. Just in time when Minhyun called, saying he was already in the apartment lobby. She quickly put on her heels and grabbed a coat lying on the couch.
Minhyun greeted with a warm smile. Without words they just set off and headed to the dinner venue. As usual, there were not much conversation on the road. Yesoo used to like every moment with Minhyun, including that long silence moment between them. But now, this silence had a different feel. Yesoo couldn't even look at him the way she used to when they were drowned in their own moment of silence. One-hour trip from her apartment to the restaurant felt like one year and somehow it was killing her inside.
Finally they arrived and dropped off Minhyun's car. That Minhyun didn't take Yesoo's hands hadn't changed. Yesoo had to reach his. So she could walk by his side, not behind his back. Wearing their best smiles, they headed straight to the venue and were jolly welcomed by Minhyun's coworkers. They were so delighted to see Minhyun's girlfriend, who they found her a bit odd for having Hwang Minhyun the stone face as boyfriend.
"Yesoo, thank you for today," said Minhyun when they were on their way home.
"It's okay. I had fun. You have nice friends. I'm sure the office environment is good."
"Yeah." Minhyun paused for a quite long time. He pretended to search for songs on the radio. "Actually, there is something I've wanted to say."
As much as Yesoo got flustered, she wouldn't show it. She knew sooner or later this time was going to come. She had no idea what it is he was going to say. But she had feelings. "What is it?" she asked, smiling.
"What do you think about us?"
Still maintaining her smile, she asked back. "What do you mean?" She tried hard to combine words that scattered in her head. "I like us. I like that you are with me the past 2 years." Her voice was getting softer and a little bit shakier, as she continued, "And I wish we can stay together for... more years to come?"
"I see." He looked at Yesoo, who just turned her head and kept her eyes to the front.
"What about you?"
"I..." Minhyun forced a smile. "I like it too."
This time Yesoo forced a smile as well. She knew Minhyun buried his honest feelings deep inside. Although he had his infamous stone-face, she could easily tell that the smile wasn't genuine. Why he wouldn't say it out loud was still a question to Yesoo. Frankly, it bothered her. But she didn't want to push him to tell the truth.
As the time passed, Yesoo's behavior towards Minhyun started to change. She no longer reached her hand to hold his. She no longer asked where they were going to go on weekends. She no longer gave suggestions on where they should go on weekends. She also no longer had that genuine happy smile when with him. The smile she wore mostly was forced. And no one really knew if Minhyun was aware of this. If this continued, fall probably would just pass without any good memories between them.

lazy mornings w/ woojin
for: anons that requested the prompts – hope you guys don’t mind me combining them! >< prompts: park woojin {cuddles during a very cold day + getting jealous with his girlfriend} a/n: established relationship. i really enjoyed writing this one - more of a drabble, not a lot of plot, but very fluffy. since i changed my url to a shorter one - i feel like the titles are also fitting nicer?
“move over a bit”
you crack open bleary eyes at the sound of your boyfriend’s voice
“hmmm?”
“i’m cold” woojin said, as if it explained why he was trying to fit himself into the tiny single person bed
granted, it was his bed
a slight lift of the cosy blanket prompts you to try and swat him away
you were warm! why would he do this to you? exposing you to the crisp winter morning air™??
(the type you’re sure scented candles are named after - all minty fresh breath and cut pine trees and cashmere cardigans and what not)
(or maybe that’s just woojin)
“why can’t you use the other bed? i’m going to be cold now.”
there’s like - close to a dozen in the dorm
“that’s why. you’ve pre-warmed my bed for me already, so why i should i use another?”
if you had the energy in you, you’d gape and maybe hit him on his arm when he snakes it across your waist
fortunately for him, you’re drained
“fine…” dozing off easily again
you’d stayed up to finish your assignment last night, and all you wanted to do was sleep
hide from the cold
hibernate.
a mixture of rain and sleet is falling heavily outside and the sky is a dull gray, it could honestly be any time of the day
with how dark it looked - it was impossible to tell
winter had yawned out a dusting of winter’s frost amongst the floor, and the emptiness of the house only seemed to make the cool bite of the air more apparent
not to mention that the bed was so so soft
and so cosy
sleep comes easily
only –
your alarm decides to ring at the most unfortunate of times, it doesn’t feel like you’ve been asleep for any longer than five minutes since woojin joined
but it’s apparently been a good two hours according to your phone
blinking. rubbing sleepy eyes, you felt woojin stir next to you, nuzzling into the crook of your neck
he knew how much you liked that
“don’t go. stay in bed a little longer.”
“i’m going to miss my lectures. you have a free day today, right? get some rest. i’ll be back in a few hours”
“don’t leave until i fall asleep.” woojin huddled closer, the arms around your body reminding you just how strong he was.
“please.” he adds - as an afterthought when he thinks that it might have come off too gruff
you don’t notice the way he brings you closer to his chest, hands circling around you under the hoodie you’re wearing – warm skin on warm skin –as he folds himself over your smaller body, until you’re locked in his embrace and unable to leave
“wooo~jiiiiiiin~” you wiggled out. “as much i want to stay and snuggle and cuddle with you. i really need to go.”
“ten more minutes?” he tried,
“five.” you bargained, giving him a quick peck, not letting him have the benefit of choice as you slipped back into comfort before he can answer
there’s a strange air to him as he scans you over, running his hands lazily over you
almost as if he’s trying to memorize every part of you
which is kind of weird
because despite not being a stranger to skinship
he isn’t usually so – slow? languid?
woojin was always straightforward with his actions even when he was careful with his words
you’re about to ask what’s wrong, when he beats you to it
“just so you know. you’re wearing jihoon’s hoodie.”
“oh.” so that’s what its about
you glance at the sweater paws - the only part of said hoodie that wouldn’t have been hidden by the thick duvet just before
how did he even recognize it as jihoons?
sometimes you wonder who your boyfriend was dating
2park was too strong
you dig your face a little deeper into the pillow to distract yourself
“i didn’t realize, it smelt like you.”
woojin’s nose crinkled, and he wanted to hit himself internally
of course, he’d known about your habit of stealing his clothes, woojin just didn’t realize how you’d been differentiating his clothes from the other member’s until now
he’d borrowed the hoodie off jihoon the other day - he must’ve forgotten to return it. he made a mental note to throw it in the wash later,
maybe let it go in the tumble dryer a good few times,
hopefully it’ll shrink down far enough that jihoon can’t fit back into it.
continuing to glare at the incriminating piece of clothing, woojin played with your hair; let it wrap around his fingers before laying it back down on the pillow to brush it out again
repeating the process until you find yourself nulled back into the rhythm of drowsiness he started
noticing that you’re about to drift off, he finally decides that it’s best that you don’t fall asleep in that hoodie
else he’d be too bothered to get any rest next to you
the next words don’t really come out the way he wanted them to –
and woojin couldn’t blame it on his satoori either
his voice is still slightly husky from having just woke up, lazy morning vibes affecting the both of you
“just. i dunno. take it off”
a hit lands on his chest. “yah.”
“you’re wearing something under it right?” the boy argued.
“of course.” what did he take you for? it’s freezing out there, of course you layered.
“then just leave it.”
“it’s cold.”
you burrow a little deeper into the duvet, cuddling close –
that seemed to placate him
until your alarm rang again
reaching blindly to turn off the alarm, you crawl out out bed when you feel someone grab onto your hand,
giving a slight tug so that his hands rest on your wrist
“i don’t want to see you in jihoon’s clothes. so don’t leave until my eyes are closed. just hide under the blanket.”
he’s so childish!
maybe it was the drowsiness or the sluggish hibernal air that made him reveal effortless jealousy so bluntly
but you felt woojin pull at your wrist, reeling you back under the warm covers next to him
and god – you wanted to stay in too –
but lessons.
“just close your eyes now. i really need to go.”
tugging his hand off your wrist, it takes all of your willpower to not reach and pull the blanket over your shoulders again
“i can’t - you’re right in front of me, so my eyes aren’t closing. they just want to keep looking at you.”
oh.
your heart fluttered a bit
woojin really knew how to make you weak
his way of craving attention was a little too cute to resist,
and the way he made sure that the blanket was covering you from the tips of your toes up to your neck made warmth spread in your chest
a smile played at your lips as you peered out at the dreary weather, the windows chattering lightly against it’s frame – as if the winds are beckoning you to leave them alone
how often did the two of you get to spend time together these days?
so you turn around –
(a feat on such a small bed)
– and let him hold you close
how could you possibly leave when woojin knows all the right things to say to pull at your heartstrings?
wiggling one arm under him – you have him in a hug,
but he easily loosens your grip, wrapping himself tightly around you instead
the duvet folding messily with his body as woojin rolls you in a tight hug
sighing into the dip between your shoulder blades
he knows he’s won now
“just go back to sleep.” by my side
“okay.” i’ll stay
“you can’t go anywhere.”
“i’ll still be here when you wake up.”
