Danny Lewis' story makes me so sad. His mum got in an abusive relationship, chose the abuser over him and he became homeless during lockdown. He starts to get his life back on track and get attacked by that same abuser. He gets sent to young offenders for self defence and is called a criminal by parents, classmates and the same teachers that said they'd help him. The abuser that hurt him goes after someone else and Danny, despite his reputation being in THEE GUTTER still sacrifices his own rep to help her. An abusive student causes a fire and Danny, despite everything he's gone through, still chose to save his life without prioritising himself. And he gets nothing. Danny took every hit, judgement and insult... still pushed through... just to die at 16. He did everything he was "supposed" to do as a "problem kid" and it was for nothing. An amazing charcter done the absolute dirtiest.

15-18 - 25/11/2022 : holy ponies batman! horseshada (yes thats what i call her) as a G3 styled MLP, both in her natural colours, and unnatural colours (her pony name is Blue Moon), also TONI PONY! (her pony name is Heart-To-Heart). gay ass little ponies
19-23 - 28/11/2022 : so like. at this point i was in the middle of watching waterloo road (classic series the new one sucks big balls), and this is like the only thing i could conjure up...... also another mettatetta, was still unsure about his design, but its comin!! later!! have patience!! the rest are some various Rushadas, in an outfit from animal crossing pocket camp since i was playing that again at this point, i should draw her in it again bc she SERVES.. also her in her jammies, i wanted a go at drawing plaits, pretty proud of that one, her hair is so thick and lovely <3

i don't know if people in the UK watched Full House but there was this one episode of Full House where the middle child (Stephanie) had a friend. i think they were around age 11 or 12. anyways Stephanie found out that her friend was being abused at home but her friend made her promise not to tell anyone because he'd just be sent away to foster care. but Stephanie couldn't keep it a secret for too long and told her Uncle Jessie. he got authorities to remove Stephanie's friend from his house so he was safe from his abusive dad. her friend got angry with her at first but by the end thanked her because he was one more drunken episode away from his father causing death on him.
so i was wondering if maybe Charleigh ever had a friend and she found out their home life wasn't great? maybe from abusive parents or just being very poor. and she comes home from school one day telling Harry about her friends situation so he can get her friend the help they needs to live in a safe environment.

I've never watched that, I'm not sure if any other UK huns have or not, but we had a slightly similar storyline in Waterloo Road, which was a UK series!
I mean, I feel like she'd of had a very safe and secure set of close friends who came from all different backgrounds. Perhaps none of her close friends have, but I feel like she definitely would hear rumours about other people in her school year group and she'd worry and want to make sure they're okay.
So she would make an extra effort to be kind, even though she was kind to everyone. She would speak to Harry about it and maybe Charleigh would become good friends with them and invite them round for a sleepover so her friend could get to know her more, and have a weekend away from any family/home issues. Perhaps the friend confided in Harry and Charleigh and they found the right people to help them! x

Favorite character: Donna Noble or Martha Jones
Least Favorite character: Rory Pond
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Clara/12, Rose/10, Martha /River, Clara/Martha, Doctor/Master, Rose/Amy - honestly a lot of the female companions.
Character I find most attractive: Clara Oswald - I've had a massive crush on Jenna Coleman since her Waterloo Road days.
Character I would marry: Clara or Martha
Character I would be best friends with: Donna Noble
a random thought: I don't actually ship the doctor with that many characters. If I ship the doctor with someone then if has to be that incarnation of the doctor. Also I like RTD's era a lot because of the storylines I feel were more coherent and had more payoff throughout the season. But I think that Moffat did bring in a lot of interesting female characters and concepts. Also some of his MOTW episodes were brilliant and I loved how he expanded on some of the aliens later on.
An unpopular opinion: That people in the fandom view character development = obeying the doctor or becoming more like them. Apart from the case of Martha in which they still continue to hate on her when she is literally better than him in every way.
My Canon OTP: Rose/10 - you could tell that RTD felt they were THE couple in the show.
My Non-canon OTP: Martha Jones/River Song - this is based off a conversation my friend and I had about River running into Martha when shes at UNIT or torchwood.
Most Badass Character: Martha Jones - she saved the world by herself with no power ups and how she handled the scarecrow episode. Side note - Sarah Jane Smith mostly because she never gave up protecting earth even after leaving the doctor and I loved the Sarah Jane Smith series.
Most Epic Villain: The Master
Pairing I am not a fan of: Jack/10 - I like Jack and 9 but 10 literally called him an abomination to his face. Plus Jack and 9 had that energy about them.
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): It sometimes felt that RTD was encouraging people to hate on Martha via the doctor who kept comparing her to Rose. And considering how much racist hate she got in the first place I feel like that arc of not caring what the doctor thought should have been done a lot better and with more care.
Favourite Friendship: Donna/10
Character I most identify with: Probably Donna because of stuff I was going through when I first watched it. Also I really understood the urge to slap the doctor.
Character I wish I could be: Amy Pond or Clara Oswald because I always loved their hair.

Waterloo road used to be good before they did the move to Scotland and then it was unwatchable. In the earlier series Fletch and Donna from holby were married on waterloo road so I wonder if they might go back to it? Or any other holby actors might join it? I do think that cancelling one show to bring back another old one is stupid, there is no reason to replace one with the other
I am absolutely cracking up at all these people telling me their opinions on Waterloo Road while I just sit here like "that sounds right, but I don't know enough about Waterloo Road to comment". 😂
Yeah, I knew Jaye Jacobs was on it, though I didn't realise Alex Walkinshaw was until I saw people tweeting about it today (and I had no clue their characters were married until you sent this, lmao). I was wondering if they might go back to it too.
It'll definitely be interesting to see if any other Holby actors join. (...I'd probably have to actually watch it if Guy Henry joined. Though I'm still crossing my fingers for him to do a 12-18 month stint on Casualty that culminates in a happy ending for Henrik.)
As for why they're replacing one with the other - the BBC only have so much money to make their continuing dramas, so something had to go in order for the WR revival to happen.
And since they're "making a commitment" or whatever to making more shows in different parts of the UK - that's why Casualty (made in Cardiff) and Doctors (made in Birmingham) were always safe - at the end of the day, it was really either Holby or EastEnders that had to go, since they're both made in Hertfordshire. EastEnders was probably deemed too iconic to go, so... here we are, Holby's been cancelled to free up money to revive Waterloo Road. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
(That, by the way, is what they meant about cancelling Holby for "diversity and representation". I've seen a lot of people confused about that and thinking it means representation of LGBTQ+ people, people of colour, and other marginalised groups, and going "why would they cancel Holby, it has so much representation!". Well, there's the answer - because they mean representing different areas of the UK, not representing groups of people.)

Do you think this is the last season? Just with it only being 8 episodes rather than 12 and them likely killing Missy off I'm just getting a really bad vibe. I think they'll send Nas off to Oxford and that'll be the shows "happy ending." Idk. Like I know it's only the first episode of the 3rd series but it felt different to the last 2.
i’m not 100% sure about the inner workings of channel 4 but i believe they usually decide whether or not to renew a show while the season is airing depending on ratings, i don’t know how people would react to missy being killed of, its not the same as nanna or even sami dying because missy booth is a huge part of the show, i know i probably wouldn’t continue watching if she does indeed die so i could see their being a drop in ratings this season that leads to the show being dropped.
however i don’t believe they were writing this season thinking its going to be the last one quite the opposite actually, i feel like because they know they’re gonna lose the majority of the students with the Big Storylinesn as they age out of the college, they’ve changed things up with the school and added some younger students so they would have stuff to build on in any future seasons.
thats always the problem with school dramas, you get attatched to one year of kids and then a few seasons later you have to say goodbye, i used to watch a lot of waterloo road and but my interest would wax and wane as different characters were explored and brought in over the years. i feel like ackley shot itself in the foot by having so much of the focus be on the older kids, they get their own serious arcs and jordan was the only younger kid who got similar storylines and now he’s gone. razia and hailey more often than not were comic relief or maybe side characters in someone else’s story and chloe seems to be their sometimes to present problems to emma.
i think they’re gonna try to fix this problem in this season but i think thats a little over ambtious what with having to write satisfying endings for all the older kids and the problems with the academy trust. we’ll see if they can do it i guess and keep up ratings which i think will only be harder with missy gone but as much as they’ve let me down esp today, i’m rooting for them, the show has so much potential as i think we always need a good school drama on tellie.
