Ok. Time for re-listen thoughts. This whole episode was just super fun. I loved all the silliness with the Red Bull sponsorship and the whole plan in general to make sure that they survived in space. Also, all of the marriage teen drama was just really fun. Matt was on fire with the nicknames and everything.

Seeing Scary revert to Terry was also very interesting and very fun. I wonder how long she's going to play her as Terry, especially since we run into Terry Jr at the end of the episode. According to the spell description, she's only "insane" until she takes a long rest. I wonder if that's why Beth specifically calls out that she doesn't sleep during the 48 hours.

And then finally, we can't talk about this episode without talking about Hero. I wasn't really sold on her as a character until this episode. I think I just needed to spend some more time with her to really get on board. I love the dynamic of having siblings on the show. Not enough of these kids have sibling support. And heartbreakingly, Hero's whole story just adds to all of the different Oak family traumas. One question that I have, is that she mentions that she thought she might have to sacrifice herself, so does that mean that she's now asking Normal to potentially sacrifice himself?

A few episodes back, I was getting the impression that Willy was getting ready to sacrifice Scary. And now Normal might have to? I have a feeling that the end of this season is going to be crazy intense. And I'm super excited about it.

One of the things that I love about this show, is that they have struck a really good balance between the fun and the goofs, and the drama. I'm excited to see where it goes and excited about where this specific cliffhanger is going.

The winners for the contest were announced today so that means I can officially share this now! A week ago I participated in the 24 Hour Animation Challenge with a couple of my friends from the program and while our film didn’t win, it was still a great learning experience and I’m pretty damn proud that we finished a film in only 24 hours!!

The theme for this year was “Predicting the Future”. I was the storyboard lead and I also did one of the background layouts and keyframed the ending sequence! There were plenty of scenes that didn’t make the final cut and things that we agreed we could change or do better on, things we’ll definitely address and explore if we decide to go ahead and re-do this film as a fun summer collab project!

My team was awesome and if any of you are reading this, y’all did great work and there’s nobody I would have rather slowly descended into madness as we hit the 10hr mark without sleep than you all <3 If 3rd year doesn’t kill us, we should go crazy and do this again :  D

just something i thought i’d mention because in spite of last night i apparently still haven’t recovered from the hallelujah -> 27 combo: pete’s kids were there that night. meagan and pete’s youngest two kids were in the soundbooth and he smiled and winked and waved at them when he went back there during dance dance. they performed THOSE songs in THAT combination and pete’s family was there when they did.

mm hi pals, i'm working on the christmas fics so i haven't made progress on much of anything in the last few weeks BUT i have decided i want to get the burning house fic done before 14 march and oof, i will hit that goal

I had to drag you to help fix up her place, and now you’re playing house with her?”  “Fuck you, Buck. You don’t know what you’re talking about.”  Buck’s barked laugh is harsh and grating. “You don’t love her and you never will,” he says, shaking his head. “She deserves better than you.”  Red hot rage shoves up in Eddie’s throat, acidic and thick. “Get out.” He moves forward and pushes Buck’s shoulders hard, ignoring the way Buck stumbles backward into the refrigerator, knocking off the pictures and nearly toppling over. He won’t hit Buck—never—but he needs Buck gone now. Right now. “Get the fuck out of my house, Buck!”  Buck rightens himself, wide-eyed and pale in the face. He holds his hands up in surrender. “You want me to leave?” he asks, small and soft. His anger’s cooled significantly from a moment ago; he looks like a frightened child, full of regret. “Eddie?”  No. No, Eddie doesn’t want Buck to leave. How could he? The itchiness in his fingertips and the chill in the center of his chest are only soothed when Buck’s around. But that smolder of fury in the pit of his stomach’s been stoked after too long and he needs Buck to leave before the cap on his wrath loosens and he takes everyone down with him again.  “Go, Buck.” The please goes unsaid, unheard. “Get out.”

People: Dragon Ball focuses too much on Goku. He’s so strong, so nobody else has to do anything.

Goku: Loses first 2 tournaments in og. Dies twice. Only kills one major villain in all of Dragon Ball Z, and it’s the villain that everyone wanted Gohan to kill.

Also are we just gonna ignore how the Namek/Frieza saga was mostly Krillin, Gohan, Piccolo, and Vegeta just doin shit? They did so much in that entire arc
