Mystic Messenger Saeran’s AE Thoughts (.......And Prayers..) #Spoilerz

Hello, I just finished Saeran’s after ending and I have a lot of things to say and I am going to write it down while I'm still all keyed up about it.

First of all… Please DO NOT ask me how much money I spent to finish this as fast as I did…. I’m grown but my bank account is certainly going to have a good ole fashioned CHUCKLE at this….. It’s been a long quarantine I deserve a lil happiness as a treat methinks!

I have been playing this absolutely insane game since I think 2016? When I first started playing the deep routes had JUST come out I think? And I was just finishing up high school and am now a college grad...lmao

I’ve played all routes at least once except Jaehee but i’ve seen walkthroughs of her route (I’ve heard it makes you hate Jumin and he’s my favorite so um. hehe). V’s and Saeran’s routes I found to be so emotionally intense and just….a lot and I've been waiting a long ass god damn time for this after ending okay…. I would theorize and make up an ending in my head but i’m no writer so it was hard to figure out lol. I’m a Jumin stan mostly but I love everybody and yeah I should probably play that jumin dlc too but I need like a DAY to recover from Saeran’s AE. Enough about me HERE are my thoughts on it overall

Major Saeran AE Spoilers under da cut!

Can we please discuss V showing up to the C+R conference room with basically chloroform and made everybody Pass Out like??? I was alone in my room at like midnight just SCREAMING at my phone???? And the creepy ass CG ???? It’s like that gif of sarah paulson from ahs being like “I put arsenic in the wine….and the pasta”

Anyway I screamed at V a lot during this process!!

Loved RFA being sweet and kind to saeran (before V fucking drugged them…)

This is such common V behavior “I have to do it all myself...there’s no other way..” GIRL SHUT UPPP You do this every route....

SO many CG’s and I enjoy them a lot

Saeran’s sprite looks a little TOO crisp compared to everyone else but maybe its a glitch??? V next to him is in 480p while saeran is like 1080p

Hearing both Saeran and Saeyoung missing the other brother the whole time??? PAIN. All my homies know is PAIN

BOSS and his V for Vendetta ass guy fawkes mask??? I literally yelled “this game is TERRIBLE!!” several times at my phone

Their dad is so>??????? When he was sitting on the couch with saeyoung in that one CG while simultaneously telling him to kill himself?????????? Maybe chairman han is actually the best dad in this game somehow

When V and Rika were like we’re back together teehee teehee okay pack it up bonnie and clyde ..

When chairman han calls u and says hes jealous of u and saeran…..HUH????? I’m calling HR

When they go to the apartment and see boss and vanderwood and poor saeyoung is sitting there seeing his brother for the first time in years i wanted to D word sooooo bad like PAIN...PAIN….

Can we HAVE A DISCUSSION ABOUT JUMIN HAN BEING THE BEST CHARACTER IN THE GAME AND HE LOST EVERYTHING IN THIS AE……. he just took the blame and moved on jumin what the hell….. I love him so much r we serious? He watched his 2 closest friends betray him in the worst way and found out abt how Rika abused Saeyoung and Saeran???? I felt just AWFUL. Terrible ...Terrible….

Rika’s change in demeanor from Saeran's actual route is certainly a Choice. I find her much more bearable this time around and unfortunately i think I was too nice to her and ended up with a bad end LMFAO

I was happy to see Saeran stand up for himself and become stronger and confident. You go king!

The CG of Yoosung laying in Zen’s lap is everything to me…

HOWEVER YUP I sure did get a bad ending and I was so mad fdsafdskfdhsf ! (I would be happy to clarify how I got the good one the second time.) MAKE SURE To SAVE EARLY in days 2 and 3 bc the branches on day 4 is where the bad end will show up. For me it was the first day 4 chat and then a story mode titled “SAVIOR”.... If you see that RUN FOR THE HILLS!!

I was so mad! But I had saved in day 2 and replayed and MANAGED to get good end

I’m obsessed with everyone calling V and Rika “that psychotic couple” like…..its true its true…

No those two are so toxic… V’s route was torture watching them go on and on about the sun like yo can yall just call each other babe like normal people.

I respect straight people but not V and RIka that shit was just wrong… Straight marriage was a mistake

Oh lord i also FULLY Forgot Rika killed the twins’ mother…. Yeah that scene was um Certainly a lot but it needed to happen eventually

Like it’s good they know but damn that storyline is just so bleak

I think it was satisfying TO A DEGREE….To see Rika understand where she was wrong, why she was wrong, fess up and even APOLOGIZE! I was very surprised.

Saeran and Saeyoung are Certainly twins with the amount that those two self sacrifice in every route MY GOD…..

The scene with Jumin talking to his father and the other scene of him praying oh my god I cannot tell you how happy I was to see him begin to understand and address his own feelings in a route that was not his own. My main problem with Jumin’s route has always been the trapping MC in his penthouse aspect.. This way Jumin understands love and emotions without being overly possessive !!! YAY also loved seeing him be on good terms with his dad who was surprisingly profound

That last Story mode was Really a Lot…. and Strange things occurred which I will get into in just a minute

Jumin becoming a politician is so funny but ngl … i see it.

Yoosung going to france to study pastries ok king I see u! (it made more sense to me than the vet thing anyway)

I was happy with how they handled it for the most part. I think Cheritz heard our feedback about V’s after ending and was like okay….let’s try something different

HOWEVER

Saeran…. Sweet kind saeran… IS SO AFFECTIONATE HAHA….

He must have said I love you like 300 times…..very mushy gushy flowery language...and maybe that’s just his personality but for me it was like eating cake with buttercream cake. It means well, but god damn is it sugary and going to cause a stomach ache later.

He was just… SO MUCH! SO forward and ON all the time in his affections. I honestly felt kind of smothered and by day 3 and 4 I was sooooo over all the compliments… King you’ve come a very long way, but ur still putting MC on a pedestal and probably need to see a therapist.

Nextly….Rika and V….. Naw that knock out gas really ...that hurt lol. Coming from “I would do anything to protect RFA” V? Idk like…. EYE felt betrayed reading that. It was just hurtful. I can’t even imagine how the members would have felt as they were passing out. It was just so cruel. I suppose I understand why but like?? Just TERRIBLE

Them being in cahoots with the agency and the prime minister..HUH??? Also too much

V just felt so irresponsible like I do understand that he ended up in a weird web of secrets that’s hard to untangle but he’s so fucking stubborn he’s SO stubborn it makes me insane. Like sir… It seems like in other routes he wanted to try to protect Rika and the RFA.. But in this AE it seems more to me that he was like yeah i’m protecting Rika and That’s It… so fucking hurtful to me. Both of y’all apologize ESPECIALLY to the twins and Jumin..

The forgiveness thing…… Okay so I think some people will not like that Saeran decided to “forgive” the people who hurt him (Rika, V, Saejoong, his mother). I would point out that I actually think this was approached somewhat well. He says at one point that he doesn’t think they’re good or bad, just people. I think he sounded mature and like this was the way for him personally to accomplish his healing process. Would I have loved for Saeran to flip V and Rika off and kick Saejoong off a cliff? Yea I really would. But like…. If that’s what HE needs to do to heal then who am I to judge?

HOWEVER…. Everything Eye just said goes out the window when the scenes at the end with Saejoong come up… I was PERPLEXED. Like why did he HUG his deranged father who just kicked the shit out of him??? Also all the chat options that MC has with him r like blah blah you’re like this because no one loves you were so corny to me LMFAOOOO?

AND WHEN HE WAS IN THE ROOM LATER WITH SAERAN… i’m sorry but if that were me I would have called a nurse to deck his ass. Cool he turned himself in YOU SUCK SOOOO BAD AND I NEVER WANT YOU TO COME NEAR SAEYOUNG AND SAERAN AGAIN THANKS.

*scratches ass* I wish I got to see saeyoung and saeran finally sit down and have that first conversation after a long time and hug CG but the ending was fine I GUESS….. I dont care about ROMANCE I want those boys to be happy brothers together

Anyway that was really emotionally exhausting but I fr think I got it out of my system after literal years… And I can rest in peace knowing the choi twins are happy. THATS ALL I WANTED TO KNOW!!!!

im so soft for all of the seijou third years and makki is not an exception. we may have been heavily deprived of makki content but i still love him and yes even though i have 3 wips i am dropping all my shit to write for hanamaki

enjoy this really fast-written but lovingly-written fic :) I LOVE U MAKKI

As soon as Hanamaki wakes up, there’s something obviously off.

He isn’t stupid. He’s always wondered why those people in dollar-cheap romance novels never seem to know what’s up when it’s their birthday. Like, gee, what’s going on? Why is my S/O so sketchy today, on my birthday? Why are all of my friends busy? He’s always wondering maybe they just have garbage self-esteem.

Fortunately for him, you’re a terrible actor.

“Morning, Makki~” Your voice is oddly awake despite Hanamaki having just woken up.

“Morning.” Hanamaki stretches lazily and his arm rests around your head. You’re wearing one of his old jerseys and he thinks it’s fitting for the occasion. “Guess whose special day it is.”

“U-Um, I don’t know.” You sound a little bit nervous although your smile’s still radiant on your face.

(He thinks it’s adorable how excited you are for his birthday.)

“B-But, you should get ready for today!! I do too, actually, so, um, I’m gonna get changed and head out..” Your excitement breaks through your ‘calm’ voice and you practically jump out of bed, kissing his forehead before dashing out. “Sorry, babe!”

“Sorry for what?”

“Um, nothing!”

“Just my luck,” Hanamaki mutters to himself. “It’s raining?”

He walks out of his favorite bakery with a box of cream puffs-- the last box of the bakery, in fact-- and suddenly it’s drizzling rain, an earthy scent flooding the world around him.

He’s a little bit frustrated-- god damn, could they at least warn him? At least so he could bring an umbrella.-- but he pays no mind. Oikawa, Iwaizumi, and Matsukawa have all been “busy” with plans (although Matsukawa spammed him with a shit-ton of memes and a ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU ASS <3 FULL HOMO), and you’re obviously doing something either for him or something illegal, so he knows to expect something.

Although he can’t help but shake the paranoid worm in his gut that… maybe everyone is busy? Maybe they really couldn’t spare time for his birthday…

He brushes it off, and walks back home in the rain as he shields his cream puff box.

The rain really does make walking-traffic bad.

Hanamaki was expecting to stroll home in a solid 10 minutes, but he’s stuck in an angry mob of people who are half-drenched like him. He thanks whoever’s up there for giving him a strong immune system, otherwise he’s sure that he’d be sniveling and sneezing on his special day.

He’s trying to guess how much time it’ll take to get home now- five more minutes? Seven? Ten more?- before his phone vibrates so hard in his back-pocket he would’ve thought someone shoved a vibrator back there. There’s most likely no mafia or yakuza here, so Hanamaki takes advantage of the slow-moving crowd and takes out his phone.

There it is: the barrage of texts from you. He knew you would break down eventually, asking if he’d come home soon, but he wasn’t expecting pages and pages of texts.

He really does think it’s adorable how much you care about this.

Rolling his eyes, he taps out a quick response:

“yea omw home” “oh, a surprise you say? ill be home soon”

He slips it into his pocket even though he feels the vibrations of the twenty or so texts that you rapid-fire send to him, most likely defending the fact that you’re definitely, absolutely not planning any shit for his ass, but he smiles to himself anyway.

He doesn’t even mind the fact he’s getting soaked in the rain. He’s excited to see what you’ve been planning.

“Home,” Hanamaki yells out. “Where are you, you big stinker?”

There isn’t an answer, which Hanamaki supposes is a little bit cliché but he doesn’t mind that much. His shared apartment with you is dark and he has to flicker on some lights through the house before he hears the faint illusion of hurried whispers. He barely makes out a voice to be yours.

“Oh! He’s here!”

“No shit he’s here. Who else comes in and yells he’s home?”

“I dunno Mattsun~ Maybe [Name]-chan has someone on the side?”

“Shut the fuck up, all of you.”

“Thank you, Hajime!”

“Shut up oh my god I think he’s listening to us.”

“Shhh!”

Hanamaki hears a dull clatter from the other room and he hides behind the wall, content with listening for a little bit longer.

“Oikawa you fucking dolt! You knocked over the forks!”

“Sorry, [Name]-chan!”

“Just pick it up already.”

“I don’t mean to burst your bubbles but I’m pretty sure he’s literally just vibing in the other room, listening to us.”

Hanamaki decides to make you all happy and takes a step. He’s kind of delighted in the way you all immediately shut up, save for your hissed quiet!, and he takes another step. Eventually he can’t take it and casually walks into the room.

It’s dark and he can’t really adjust to everything, and he’s about to say something slightly funny before the entire room illuminates and he sees his former third-year team and girlfriend yell, “Happy birthday Makki!!!!”

Makki knows that he was expecting some sort of surprise. Ever since that morning he woke up and saw you and your oddly adorable, alert face, he knew that something like this was going to happen. But still, it took just a few more seconds to register.

There was a cutely handmade banner that read Happy Birthday Makki in big, teal letters, and there were balloons strewn around the room that he knew would eventually be victims of balloon volleyball. On the table that you were all surrounding was a good, small pile of gifts and a tower of cream puffs. Not a cake, but a giant fucking tower of cream puffs.

Oh, so that’s where all the bakery’s cream puffs went.

“Oh god. You stupid idiots.” Hanamaki realizes his voice has gotten a little hoarse with sentiment, and he clears his voice and naturally, his lazy smile comes back. “I’m honored that you buffoons really planned this out for me. Clown party!”

“Be grateful, you big dummy!” You practically throw yourself onto him, and he finds himself latching onto you too. “I love you so much, Makki, happy birthday!!”

Hanamaki smiles and as if on cue, you lift up your head and smile back. He feels his heart beat a little bit faster and he remembers why he’s been loving his birthdays ever since he met you.

“Guess I love you too.”

A/N please read the introduction before reading!

so same deal with Yuta’s scenario

you found out on the way to the house that ‘holy shit a member of nct 127 is going to be in the house with me wHaT dO I DO

you get to the house and settle in, meeting the other cast members

and it’s getting,,,really late,,,and everyone else is in the house except for nct boi

you and the other members are getting pretty concerned,,,but also really tired so one by one they all go to bed

except for you because you’re not tired yet plus,,,you’re so nervous to see who the member is you’re not sure you’d be able to go to sleep anyways

but it’s running on 2 in the morning and while you don’t have any work tomorrow,,,you know you should go to bed

and just as you’re shuffling past the front door the doorbell rings

you almost tripped and concussed yourself with how fast you ran to open the door

you opened the door to face a very exhausted looking mark lee

and you’re both so high key sleep deprived you can’t even really say anything

he gave you a soft smile and a little ‘hi’ and boi looked so soft and sle e py

so instead of trying to start a conversation you show him to his room and then,,,go to bed

well at least try to bc your heart is racing bc omfg your bias is literally two doors away from you

the next morning you wake up early bc someone is being hella loud in the kitchen

so you rub your eyes and make yourself a little more presentable before shuffling into the kitchen

and there is mark lee and oh no he found the eggs fuck

he looks up and recognizes you fro the night before and he smiles, which you return,,,but then you smell burning and you’re like “sHiT mARk the EggS”

and he doESn’T kNOw wHaT tO DO

so you rush over and grab the pan from him while he just kind of looks at you,,,in awe,,,bc

a) you know his name so are you a fan??? find out next week

and b) you look really cute in your pajamas while trying to salvage the burning frying pan

once you dispose of the disaster egg you turn to him with an exasperated sigh and low key scold him

“you know you can’t make eggs w h y would you d o that???”

but then you realize you just e x pose d yourself as a fan so you shut up real quick

but he just laughs and is like ‘glad to see we have a fan in the house’ while you blush so m u ch

feeling a little bad for scolding him you decide to help teach him how to cook eggs lol and together you make a pretty simple breakfast for the other members

soon enough everyone is awake and sitting at the table praising you guys for your hard work while you and mark just look at each other and silently agree to not talk about the earlier egg catastrophe

the other cast members already knew each other from the day before so now all eyes are on mark

you feel bad for the dude bc he looks a lil uncomfy but he slowly warms up to everyone

every time someone asks about the difficulties of being an idol he just brushes it off like ‘eh I get to do what I love while making people happy so it’s all worth it’

eventually conversation lulls and people begin to clean up and now’s your chance to ask the question you’ve been dying to know the answer to

“ok,,,so like,,,despite being a trainee and an idol forever,,,did you ever have time to watch vines?”

and boy just lights up like ‘hELl YEA’ and you’re so relieved like thank god sm didn’t keep him from witnessing a cultural phenomenon

i’m sorry idk what i’m writing lol

and miraculously boy doesn’t have any practices to go to bc all the units just ended promotions so now they have some time to chill and that’s the only reason he’s even allowed on the show

so the rest of the day goes by watching vine compilations and quoting your faves

you and mark get real close bc you guys are the only ones on the show your age,,,the rest are all in their thirties and like yea that’s not that old but you guys are kids y would you hang out with old people ew gross no offense this is for the purpose of the plot line soz

but then mark’s practices start to stack up again and you’re sad bc a) your closest friend on the show is barely there anymore and b) he left you with all the old people which you’re low key salty about cmon sm :(

but you guys still hang out as much as possible when he’s not at practice and you’re not at work

he tells you about all the shit the dreamies were pulling on kun the poor man and you tell him about funny incidents at work

but behind all the laughter you can see he’s tired but you don’t want to pry, especially since your every move is being recorded

so you try your best to make him happy and smile,,,like real smiles, not the fake ones he gives to other members sometimes

he thinks they can’t tell, but you can

sometimes you even go out to restaurants or even like arcades!

he’s even brought the dreamies a few times but that ended real quick after you almost got a black eye from renjun while playing laser tag don’t ask

so yea now you’re tight with dream (except renjun still feels bad about the laser tag incident)

(also he’s scared mark will skin him alive if he gets within a foot of you, he almost died the night of the incident by mark’s own smol hands)

one night the older guys left for some overnight bonding trip idek they were hella secretive about it you and the announcers are convinced they’re in love with each other but you’re in no place to out them

it’s really late like 3 in the morning but you’ve been struggling to go to sleep bc you’re waiting for mark bc he always tells you goodnight after getting home from practice

you’re just about to fall asleep when you hear the door open and you know it’s mark so you wait,,,but he never comes in

he just shuffles past your door to his room

and you’re really concerned bc he’s been looking extra beat lately and this is just the icing on the cake

so you go to the boy’s room and knock on the door but no response

so you push the door open and don’t see him

assuming he’s in the bathroom you’re about to leave but then you hear sniffling,,,coming from the bathroom

and you’re just like ‘oh hell no my boy is crying’

the bathroom is the only place without cameras so you know he wants privacy

making sure you don’t have your mic with you, you go over to the bathroom door and knock, softly whispering his name

the sniffling stops and you hear him moving around before moving to the door

barely giving him a chance to open it you slip and close the door behind you, making sure the cameras can’t see him

and there he is, tired as hell, eyes red, cheeks puffy

you both look at each other before he starts sobbing

and you immediately pull him into you, holding him and swaying side from side, letting him get it out of his system before talking to him

when he finally calms down you slowly pull away and he won’t look up to meet your eyes,,,he’s a lil embarrassed shy bub

so you lift his head up to meet your eyes and you just softly scold him

“I’m your friend mark,,,you don’t have to be worried about being embarrassed in front i mean,,,I saw your eggs and those were horrible”

cue mark laughing a little and your heart sOaRinG

“you can tell me anything, i know you don’t want to make me worry but I worry more about finding you her like this,,,so please,,,rant to me,,,relieve your stress”

and, well, without cameras and mics, mark goes off

telling you about all the stress he’s accumulated from being in all the units an being one of the faces of the group, always having to be on different programs ad make the group look good

you guys are sitting on the floor, him leaning against you while you rub his back and listen, sometimes interjecting with your own thoughts on sm treat your idols better i stg smh

eventually he slows down and now you’re both sitting on the bathroom floor, about to fall asleep at any moment

you move to face him and he does the same

you’re about to tell him you two should go to bed

but you can’t stop looking at him bc he is so so f t and he just poured his hear out to you

and he can’t stop staring at you bc you always look so beautiful but also you’re so kind to him but also won’t hesitate to roast him

so he just,,,starts to lean in,,,and you do too,,,

and then your lips meet and wo w his lips are so soft he’s thinking the same thing askjdh

when you both pull away you smile at each other, resting your foreheads together

mark stands up, pulling you with him to his bed, and you sleep in each others arms :’)

the next morning the girls wake up to find you missing and are about to call 119 but then they go into the boys room and are just like ajhkhfflsd this is too soft and pure and you guys are now tHe power couple of the show

also renjun is even more terrified he can’t even look at you mark is ScARy poor baby

03. the walk home

[Chapter 1]: NEW GIRL [Chapter 2]: LUNCH BREAK [Chapter 3]: THE WALK HOME

By the time I got back to the school the warning bell had already rung. I was so relieved when I walked into my fifth period to find Peter sitting at the table in the chemistry lab and MJ behind him waving me over to sit next to her. There was another boy I didn’t recognize next to Peter, but I quickly became acquainted with him. “Hey Nova,” Peter said as I sat down next to MJ, “This is Ned, Kal just moved here.” The boy, Ned shined his teeth towards me with a welcoming smile, “Sweet, yo if you ever need help on homework ask me. These two are complete dunces.” he said shaking my hand and adding a friendly wink. “Oh okay Ned, you keep telling yourself that.” MJ remarked from beside me causing me to laugh at their bickering.

The teacher quickly went over the syllabus and handed out papers for science donations. Once he was done he put a list up of silly questions on the board and assigned us to discuss them with our lab partners in order to ‘bond’. Five minutes in Peter and Ned had their seats turned towards MJ and I. The four of us talked about everything from Game of Thrones to what element on the periodic table is the most badass. They even invited me to join something called the Academic Decathlon Team. I had completely forgotten about by fight with Jade until she texted me.

Jade

Hey, can we talk? I hate fighting with you...

I can give you a ride home if you want. -j

A sigh escaped my lips, a little louder than I intended. Suddenly the groups attention focused onto me. “Woah, damn are you sick of us already?” MJ joked. I smiled tucking my phone away, “No I just got in a fight with Jade and she wants to talk.” A look of concern washed over Peter’s face, “Wait you guys seemed fine this morning, I thought she was taking you to lunch?” The three of them stared at me expectantly ready to hear the beef. Smiling I answered, “It’s really nothing, she was just trying to push her friends on me and when I told her I didn’t like her friends she told me I was committing social suicide. Then I may have said something about her friends being fake...” MJ scoffed, “Well you’re not wrong there.” Ned leaned over to our desk; resting his elbows on the table, “Yeah her friends can be mean sometimes, but maybe Jade just feels bad that you had to move in with them and wants to make sure you can make a life here ya know?” Strumming my nails against my phone case I said “Yea I know she has good intentions, but I feel like sometimes she forgets how much of a geek I am. I mean sure I get along with her and love her like a sister, but it’s a different dynamic when she isn’t with Mary Jane and Gwen. I’d rather hang out with you guys.”

*Ding*

I looked down at my phone to find another text from Jade.

Jade

If you don’t respond I’m gonna pick u up anyways. -j

“Shit.” I murmured. I did want to talk to her but not yet. “Is she texting you still?” Peter asked. “Yea, she’s asking if I want a ride home from school but I don’t feel like talking quite yet. And if I say no she’ll probably just show up anyways.” I explained. “Just tell her I offered to walk you home...” Hugging my backpack in my lap I said, “Are you sure Peter?” Peter shrugged “Y-yea,” He said with a slight crack in his voice. “We’re neighbors so I’d be going the same way anyways. Plus decathlon practice doesn’t start for another week.”

“That’d be awesome, thank you Peter.”

As the conversation moved back to decathlon practice I glanced back down at my phone to text Jade back.

hey, I want to talk too. peter and I already made plans to walk home together so I don’t need a ride but I promise we’ll talk when I get home -k

The period ended with an online assignment of a pre-lab due next week. Just before the teacher could explain the system used at the school the bell rang and the herd of wild junior high school students pushed their way out of class. Once out of the classroom Peter and I said out goodbyes to Ned and Michelle as they made their way towards the bus.

Conversation with Peter was comfortable. He could be awkward at times, but he was good with keeping the conversation flowing. Hey, better awkward than forced right. While talking about his friendship with Ned your stomach decided to rudely interrupt by proudly showing off its whale noise demonstration. The talking immediately screeched to a halt before both of us erupted into a fit of laughter.

“Sorry I might be a little hungry, by the time I had walked back from that pizza place lunch was already over.”

Peter’s laughter died down, “Well do you wanna get some food, I know a good place nearby. Best sandwiches in Queens.” he said with a raised eyebrow. “Well how could refuse that,” I said dramatically placing a hand over my chest “Lead the way good sir.” He grinned and nodded his head to the side insinuating to follow him.

“So what has you so interested in science?” He questioned. I smiled towards the uneven concrete littered with gum. “Well my mom is a chemist. So I kind of grew up with her constantly sharing facts about the world. At first I couldn’t stand it, but after a while I found myself intrigued by what she was telling me. Not to mention how convenient it was to already understand things like the conservation of matter when other students were left dazed and confused by the teachers sucky explanation.” Peter hooked his thumbs under the straps of his backpack and said, “So do ya think you’ll go into that field in college?” I looked up at Peter, “Um...” I paused thinking of how to answer, “Well, I really like learning about all that stuff and it’s not like my grades are horrible or anything its just...Once things start to get complicated I start to fall behind. And seeing these brilliant scientists like my mom and Tony Stark.” Peter held the door to the small deli as I continued my thoughts, “I don’t know if I’m smart enough to get into that field.” Peter opened his mouth as if he were going to respond, but before he had the chance the man behind the counter beat him to the punch.

“Mr. Parker! Welcome back," He yelled as we walked towards the counter, “Ah and lady friend, welcome-” The man extended his hand. “Kal.” I said kindly returning the handshake. “Well Miss Kal that’s quite the shake you got there. I assume the usual for you Mr. Parker?” Peter slapped two bags of sour gummies on the counter and responded, “Yea that’d be great Mr. Delmar. How about you Kal?” Confused by the menu I shrugged, “I’ll get whatever you're having.” Mr. Delmar punched something into the old cash register and the worker behind him asked over his shoulder, “Ya want pickles on that?”

“Yes please!” I answered. Peter looked at me in disgust, “Ew, pickles really? I feel like I don’t know you anymore.” Giggling I nudged his side and said “Oh shut it.”

“Alright that’ll be $10″ Mr. Delmar said. Peter and I quickly exchanged glances before racing for our wallets simultaneously. We were quick to tie in our little race as he held out a crisp $10 bill and I extended my debit card towards the man. Mr. Delmar smirked at me as he took Peter’s cash, “Sorry boss, we only take cash here. No cards.”

“Ha!” Peter said grabbing the wrapped up sandwiches from the counter teasingly jogging away with both sandwiches out of the deli. “Hey!” I yelled running after him, quickly catching up and grabbing the sandwich from him. swinging the bag the sandwich was in I asked, “So where does one go to eat the best sandwich in Queens?” He scratched the back of his neck looking up towards the buildings. “Well, it involves a bit of climbing. But we can go somewhere else if you don’t feel like doing that sort of thing.” He said as his voice raised an octave higher with each word. I scoffed, “Oh Peter you seriously underestimate me and my sense of adventure.” He smiled widely, “Okay.” he said grabbing my hand and leading me down an alleyway between two apartment buildings.

“You want me to what?!”

He ended up leading me up a narrow fire escape at least 6 floors up (it really felt like 20) and was now instructing me how to get on top of the building from the roof.

“Just trust me. Climb up onto the railing and reach for my hands and I’ll pull you up. Promise.”

“No offense Pete, but I don’t know if you’ll be able to pull me up.”

“I’m stronger than it seems, c’mon I thought you had a sense of adventure.”

“Hey I do have a sense of adventure”

“Okay prove it then.”

“Shit” I murmured under my breath placing one foot on the rail before standing up and using the brick wall to steady myself. Looking up at Peter I reached one hand out that ended up being inches away from his. “Jump.” He said calmly. “WHAT?” my eyes widened at his suggestion. He simply smiled at my reaction and said, “Trust me. Just keep looking at me. I’ll catch you, promise.”

“That just makes me trust you less.” I said. He didn’t respond he just held his hands out waiting to catch you. Pressing my tongue between my teeth and against my lips I took one last breath and pressed off the fire escape. For a brief moment it felt as if I were going to plummet to my death. The moment passed quickly when I felt Peter’s hand tightly grabbing mine as he swung me up to the rooftop. Once my feet safely reached the floor i delivered a quick punch to his chest. “Ow, what no ‘Thank you for catching me Peter I’m eternally grateful’“ he said mockingly. Laughing at what just happened I could feel the adrenaline pumping through my system, “Oh my god, you do that every time?” I said sitting on a nearby ledge. Peter sat down next to me, unwrapping his sandwich “No actually I’ve never been on this building before, It’s pretty awesome though right?” he said cheekily taking a bit into his sandwich. Shaking my head I stared at the boy in shock, “Peter Parker... Who knew.” He smiled cheesily with his cheeks full of sandwich. Silence overcame over both of us as I unwrapped the sandwich and chewed on my first bit.

“Hey, about what you said earlier in the deli. About not feeling smart enough...” He said breaking the silence. I hummed in response taking another bite. “I think you should know that just because those harder concepts don’t come as easy to you doesn’t mean you’re not smart. If anything that makes you even smarter cause you have to really work hard to be in all those crazy classes you’re taking this year. I think you should seriously consider a science major for college. And if you ever get stuck on anything we could get MJ and Ned together and have a study session. Or if you have any questions you can always tap on my window or text me.” I couldn’t help the smile from spreading over my lips as I said, “Thank you.” He nodded sheepishly looking down towards his lap.

“Gummy?”

He asked offering the bag of candy towards me. Which I gracefully accepted. We spent the rest of the time eating our food discussing the French Revolution for no reason whatsoever.

By the time I made it home it was close to 4:30. Both Mom and Wes were at work meaning Jade was the only one home. “Jay?” I called out into the empty apartment. “In our room!” she yelled back. Placing my backpack on the kitchen chair I made my way back to the room to find her sitting crossed-legged on her bed typing on her computer. I walked over to my bed and sat on the edge, “Whatcha writing?” I asked. “Lyrics for music class. It’s not due or anything, but if I wanna sing something of my own at the winter concert I have to get it approved by Mr. Bell ASAP.” she explained.

“...”

“I’m sorry”

“No, I’m sorry Kal. I shouldn’t have tried to force my friends on you. I just think you’re so great I wanted them to like you and you to like them...”

“No Jay, I shouldn’t have said they’re fake. I just feel intimidated by them and I really like hanging out with MJ, Ned, and Peter.”

She grinned, “I know, I should’ve realized they’d be good for you. And Michelle is sweet... Just don’t get on her bad side ‘kay?” I chuckled a quick okay. She pushed her laptop off to the side and turned to lay on her stomach faced towards me, “So how was your first day, anything exciting?” she asked.

“Oh god, you would not believe it...” I said as I began to explain the adventuring with Peter.

I was rear ended recently and the other drivers insurance co sent out their adjuster. I was told that my car was a total loss. I had a 94 Buick Park Avenue with 148K miles. I got a call from the person who appraised the value of my car and was told that my car was worth $2,200.00 and another $300.00 for what it would have cost me for a rental, totaling $2561. and some change. I did some looking around and found in the auto trader that I can get the same car selling for $2,995 with 154,605 miles. The question I have is do I have to except their offer of $2,200? Alright, this is part two of my question. To recap, on March 25 I was in a two car motor vehicle accident in California. I had no idea that my insurance had lapsed because I had moved before the notice was sent out. Therefore, I told the police that I had insurance under my current holder. Both parties feel the other person was at fault for this accident. My car was totaled while his only had minor damage. Myself and my passenger were hurt, while the other car's passengers werent.
