Controversial Opinion
I find it quite insensitive for some creators (not all) to be charging "early access" to infant CC, especially when some are charging for things that were EA made, and just making new swatches.
I am all for getting your coin, but when you're trying to capitalize off this when people are already paying the 40$ for the EP that comes out tomorrow (or whenever you're seeing this), it is absolutely ridiculous.
Like I said, get your coin, but don't be doing little cash grabs. It's already ridiculous to be spending 40$ on an EP that should be entirely base game, but you are enabling a system that is continuously abusing dedicated simmers and their wallets and joining in on it.
That's all ♡
edit // ALSO, IT WAS A FREE UPDATE?
The Sims BASE GAME is FREE. You are charging for FREE content. Absurd. Absolutely ABSURD.

I'm curious to know, how do you think Valtor would look like in real life? As in who does he resemble in real life?
I once saw somebody comparing Valtor to Gerald from the witcher and I can't unsee the resemblance anymore.
I hope you get well soon!
I like the idea of Henry Cavill’s Geralt for selfish reasons, but I think he’s a bit too … buff? I guess that’s the word.
I’ve spent years trying to find someone who even came close to the specific vibe that Baltor puts off with little to no success. Like you can find a random guy with long blonde hair and great cheekbones in half a second on Google. However, it’s incredibly difficult finding someone that matches Baltor™️ perfectly.
But.
There is one.
The Chosen One (for me).
And that is the Font Demon from The New Legends of Monkey.
Tumblr media
(and the fact that this character is from netflix adds further insult to injury after you remember what they gave us for live action baltor)

i feel like ur opinion on who chara dreemurr was as a person is entirely hinged on how you interpret these lines
Tumblr media Tumblr media
my favorite thing about undertale is how interpretative everything is. it’s why i believe the fandom’s thrived so much
there aren’t any confirmation for a lot of things, only hints.
and chara is a character (heh) that defies easy categorization because of this
one minute they're getting halos drawn over their head, the next they're public enemy number one.
are they good? bad? gray?
we get so hung up on the morality aspect of chara that we forget the most important thing of all, they were a person.
a person— child.
a child that hasn’t had the years to work through it or even atone for the hurt they caused.
a child that did not know love before they fell to the underground.
a child, raised in darkness, suddenly thrust into sunshine. it's blinding, overwhelming.
foreign.
after poisoning asgore, their only reaction was to laugh. now, you can depict this in any way you like, but to me, it was an honest mistake. and chara's laughter was more of a nervous reaction. they probably couldn't fully grasp the gravity of their actions. this wasn’t an instance of them maliciously reveling in asgore’s suffering. i simply cannot see it that way no matter how hard i try
the dreemurrs were unlike any of the humans they knew. they genuinely loved and cared for chara who just… didn't know how to react or cope with it in a way most would consider "appropriate"
and actually! when you’re up against snowdrake’s mom:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
chara expects frisk to laugh, just like they did when their dad got poisoned. it's horrible to look at. it's terrifying. but all they can do to cope is laugh
they FULLY expected frisk to do so too, but frisk just.. Doesn’t.
chara was a human that found a family where they least expected it. they weren’t devoid of any good. they weren't so despondent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
they had hope in their eyes.
they were determined to liberate monsters
and having alrdy been hailed as the "hope" of monsterkind by their family n being the completionist (love this trait abt them btw) that they were:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
they were going to see this through. push all the limits. use all means. they will have power.
Tumblr media
this is where things get muddy.
chara is a creature of reason. their decision to poison themselves and die, allowing asriel to absorb their soul, was, in their view, the most optimal and effective choice. there was no future left for chara on the surface anyways. there was also no straightforward method to obtain a human soul. each realization logically led to the next until everything seamlessly aligned.
their plan kicked off and started going their way. they intentionally carried their own lifeless body and headed to their village, fully anticipating the reactions they'd provoke. they had hoped to show asriel just how horrible humans are. they had hoped that by doing this, asriel would understand. the reason why humans must all be eradicated.
but to their utter shock, asriel resisted; he never fought back.
emotion foiled their plan, resulting in their own demise and that of their beloved brother. their sacrifice was for naught, the prospect of making peace between the two races has been tossed aside, irretrievably diminished.
asriel was right. chara wasn't exactly the greatest person. however, him acknowledging they weren't does not necessarily imply them to be a fervent force of evil (and i also think he meant it as in, he LITERALLY used to believe chara was the SINGLE greatest person, but eh, technicalities)
they were a flawed person, who died as such. they've made an abundance of bad choices in how they handled their trauma but that doesn't exempt them from redemption. especially not in a game that focuses on mercy and unconditional kindness and forgiveness and and and
Tumblr media
and you know what? pacifist is their redemption. they don't rlly do anything that explicit in this route but. the silly narrations. the encouraging words frisk hears during asriel's boss fight. how frisk was able to save asriel and call out to him. i like to believe it was all chara. they've seen you prove that humans can be good too and with that..... they became a tool to free monsters, just as they had always intended :-]

The Cultivation World's Fundamentally Corrupt Society in MDZS
One of the best things of MDZS, which demonstrate really well the central themes of the novel, is that while the cultivators used false morality and hypocritical justice as a shield to justify practicing so much dehumanization and tyranny, Wei Wuxian was the only one who actually exercised that justice and followed the concept of what a cultivator should be for real.
It's funny because they accused Wei Wuxian of all sorts of things when he was literally just doing his job as a cultivator - protecting the innocent and fighting against evil – It’s quite the irony seeing Wei Wuxian being condemned for doing what already is, or should’ve been, the very ultimate goal of cultivation – apart from imortality – in the first place. To me, just the fact that the Clans did function based on an aristocratic system immediately points to the idea that the purpose of cultivation, in the MDZS universe, is a simple sham for nobles to maintain their privilege and monopolize the power.
“Those who oppress others and do evil while relying on the power of their Clan should be killed. Moreover, they should publically beheaded in front of tens of thousands of people so that nobody repeats their mistake – Wen Mao, founder of the Wen Clan”
By this, it’s clear that they strayed so drastically from their original intente to use power to help, to actively oppress. The Jiang who used to be a care free sect., turned to be a clan “you could never, in any way, offend”, the Lans, whose motto is “Be Righteous”, and have a whole wall of rules that says, “do not jugde others”, “be kind”, “do not bully the weak”, “do not make assumptions about other” etc, turned to be a sect where what matters the most is to “look rigtheous” and “prioritize not troubling the powerful”.
MDZS universe is ruled by a fundamentally corrupt society, where the sect leaders congratulate each other on maintaining this facade of civilization and morality, which consist of purposefully ignoring the rot that takes place out of sight and is sometimes even publicly acknowledged, but fully accepted. Because no one cares about injustice, corruption, tyranny, as long as it doesn't affect them directly or their peers ( not even of the smaller clans, only the great sects) and most importantly, it can be easily excused and brushed off if it is caused by a clan leader, an heir or descendant of the main line.
For example, the complete extermination of the Tingshan He Clan, which had no objection. The fact that no one did anything when LanlingJin refused to execute Xue Yang after Nie Mingjue's death, even though he was responsible for the annihilation of an entire clan and was recreating the Yin Tiger Tally, a weapon of mass destruction. Or the matter of Jiang Cheng torturing and killing "demonic cultivators" being something know even by disciples of Gusu Lan and this is never treated seriously because these people were not importante enough to make a fuss, and let's not even talk about the Nie cultivation method, because it's a bottomless pit of hypocrisy.
It’s clear that, for the cultivation world, the only objectionable thing is the voice that differs from this dirty dishonesty, who identifies the farce for what it is and refuses to be part of the "brainwashing", or rather, the legitimate alienation. It is only reprehensible those who do not accept the veiled injustice that the Clans propagate in the name of unfounded reasons and who, in order to blame this system, goes against the meticulous facade of “honor and morals” created by the cultivation world, the facade that normalized, for the sake of 'good diplomacy’, the act of turning a blind eye to the cruelty, classism, oppression and authoritarianism of the Clans.
Logically, to be able to keep this arbitrary system working, it was necessary the fabrication of a new villain, “ The Great Evil" in common, hated by all and capable of taking the blame for everything and be used to justify all sorts of brutal and inhuman behavior. It was essential to use the villain's performative defeat to create a false, but allowable, sense of collective peace, sustained by innocent lives, that permit them to keep the face of righteous in the social circle of 'important people', while not forcing them to actually do something against the real problem, because all the bad things that happened were the ‘scapegoat's fault’. And this was not something fated to happen only with Wei Wuxian or the Wen Remnants, it was an an act bound to always happen in an infinite cycle, because inevitably one of the Clans would do some shit that would need someone to be criminalized and used as a guinea pig in order to hide their own corruption.
Basically, it's an entire society that hides behind "justice" in a reality where the very concept of that justice in question can only be judged by the Clans, predominantly from their own personal interests and not for what is really right or wrong. That is, justice is only right when it is theirs, outside of that, it becomes arrogance, madness, heregy. The real truth is unimportant in this scenario, much less innocence.
[...] “Don’t you understand? When you're standing on their side, you're the bizarre genius, the miraculous hero, the force of the rebellion, the flower that blooms alone. But the second your voice differs from theirs, you’ve lost your mind, you’ve ignored morality, you’ve walked the crooked path” [...]
For the ones at the top of the social hierarchy, nothing they do is criminal as long as it does not oppose the tyranny and the ‘absolute truth’ of the Clans. But anyone who doesn't have a noble lineage is worth absolutely nothing and has no right even to their own life, the people deemed as "below them" only serve as an tool to the powerful to use, to shut up when faced with offenses and to bow their heads in obedience, and that’s why Wei Wuxian died, he was a servant that did not know his place and tried to rise above his station.
Even in a narrative of Individual . Vs Society, there is no way one individual could defeat this problem, the actions of Wei Wuxian, Xiao Xingchen, MianMian and even Lan Wangji to some extent, were doomed to fail in the face of an evil as rooted as the evil that is the corrupt society. And MXTX was brillant demonstrating this.

these bingo cards are addictive lol
this one is all about "fans” who say they love LOKI... and then proceed in the next breath to list alleged characteristics which sound a lot more like they are LOKI antis than anything else. @nikkoliferous and i call them “fantis” lol.
how many of these remarks have you heard from people who profess to be defending LOKI?
(another post of mine along similar lines here)
~~ just to be totally clear: the statements on this bingo card are not endorsed by this blog ~~

who is the night owl/early bird?
Todd is more of a ‘love to sleep’ guy so neither. Todd can never sleep too much. Neil on the other hand, thinks sleep is a ‘waste of time’ so he’s both.
who takes the long shower/who sings in the shower?
Todd takes longg showers, so long to the point Neil has to knock and ask him if he’s alright. Neil absolutely sings even if he doesn’t think he’s that good.
who is the fun parent/who is the responsible?
They’re both responsible, but i feel A) it depends on the child and B) Neil is considered to be ‘more fun’ because he’s more goofy.
who’s the better cook?
TOOD LOVES BAKING BUT CAN’T COOK WHILE NEIL CAN COOK BUT NOT BAKE CHANGE MY MIND-
who starts yelling first?
Neil. He’d probably not even realize it as first though.
Todd just kind puts his head down and takes it because he knows Neil just needs to let it out.
Neil would also be the first to slam the door (he has a thing for the dramatics even subconsciously.)
Todd usually sleeps on the couch until Neil comes back. and apologizes only to find Todd crying.
He hates being yelled at. His dad used to yell at him because he was ‘worthless.’
who would make a playlist for the other person?
Todd would first but be discrete about it while Neil would be the first to share it <3

“A cage," Éowyn said. "To stay behind bars, until use and old age accept them, and all chance of doing great deeds is gone beyond recall or desire.”
When she said that I really felt it. To be trapped and only be able to watch life pass you by as time wears you down.
Which is why I don’t get why Amazon needed to make an old world tale look like a 21ST century movie about globalisation. I’m not white but I could relate to her fear, it’s a basic human emotion and I think if a story is good, it’ll cut across all ethnicities and cultures because ultimately we’re all human. The whole visual diversity and fancy rebranding will never cut across if the core story is weak and preachy.

billy hargrove’s sacrifice wasn’t a redemption.
max mayfield is still allowed to grieve.
if anything his death reminds me almost of shadow weaver from she-ra (though it’s obviously not deliberate or to that extent)
billy is a violent, abusive and racist person. yes, he had it hard and yes they were probably learned behaviours, but that gives a reason for those behaviours, not an excuse.
he is manipulative and dangerous and max is terrified of him, he’s physically violent on multiple occasions, targets lucas because he’s black and tries to kill lucas and steve. he is not a good person. that doesn’t just get brushed away because billy had an abusive childhood.
and while billys death does save elevens (and probably the rest of the kids) life, it means that he is immortalised as a shitty, abusive person. he dies as the person he was before he got taken over by the mind flayer, at the end of season two, and has no opportunity to grow and work past that (which wasn’t something he showed any signs of even wanting to do anyways)
however! max’s grief is justified and honestly understandable. she watched him die. this person who, even though they hated each other, has been a constant in her life for years. for the first time since they met, he wasn’t tormenting her (after the end of s2), and they weren’t getting along exactly but she’s not scared of him for once. then she has to watch this incredibly traumatic scene that’s not only someone getting brutally murdered by a monster, but having it be someone she knows and lives with? that’s gonna affect anyone long term, never mind a 14 year old. (i also feel like we all brush over the fact that vecna in billy form tells us that max was suicidal)
not only does she watch him die but she has to deal with the fallout, has to deal with their parents arguing, her moving house, her mum drinking, all on top of being unable to talk to most people about what actually happened. she pushes people away, because she’s max and she’s a kid and she’s traumatised, and refuses to even talk to the people who were there because she feels guilty, like she could’ve prevented his death even though rationally she knows she couldn’t. she also knows that his death meant he couldn’t redeem himself, we hear it in her letter in dear billy - she’s not only mourning him, but the person he could’ve been, because now hes gone and so he doesn’t even have the chance to become a good brother and a good person in general. he might not have done anyways, but if he was alive at least there was that chance.
and let’s not forget that he was a kid. it’s easy to forget because dacre montgomery is very much not a teenager but billy was the same age as nancy and jonathan, only 4 years older than the kids and a year younger than steve. he was a piece of shit but he was 18, he still had time to grow, and he might’ve done, but he died before that so unfortunately he didn’t get the chance, and remains a racist abuser forever.

Just an opinion but:
The dream smp doesn't need rebooting, just the scripting and 'canon' concepts removing.
No scripts mean ccs are free to interact and create stories on the fly. It also means if someone can't make a stream it isn't shelved for another day. Sure have guidelines for big events but the little random bits and jokes are what a lot of people enjoy. It also removes the stress for ccs of messing with other people's stuff.
As for 'canon'. Make everything matter. So many great plotlines start with the jokes and random bits. Plus it gives the characters so much agency which in roleplay is so important, especially streamed roleplay. Sure keep the 'canon death' concept but remove the rest. Then the ccs feel like they have an impact and the viewers feel like anything is possible rather than like their watching a TV show where the plot is predictable.
IDK the dream smp is basically dead at this point but these changes could help revive it and re-energise creators.

So I'm watching every barbie movie. And for those saying the newer ones are bad are wrong, in my opinion. They are still good just because they are t apart of your childhood doesn't make them bad.
Plus 'barbie & her sisters in the great puppy adventure' was the start of the barbie movies in a new era, hence why 'barbie in rock'N royals' was the last barbie movie where barbie plays a character/barbie is an actress.
However I do believe that barbies Character in 'barbie: star light adventure' should not have been called barbie, due to the fact that her character was not barbie!

Standing in my gay little “actually kinda liked vol 2 and felt that some (not all) of the arcs were pretty well handled (to the extent where some of the worse ones *cough* Will *cough* seem like setups for some greater story beats next season) and recognizing that not all characters Have to survive a season and that it’s fine for likable characters to die in service to the plot (you are allowed to disagree with me and think I am wrong)” corner watching the shit storm that is the Stranger Things tag just wanting theories for the show because I #HadAFunTimeWatchingEvenThoughSomePartsWereKindaBadAndSomeThingsWerePoorlyHandled
