started getting into reading fanfics again and yall i just have to say-
the cadence of part time poets is genuinely my favorite thing i’ve ever read. it’s funny, it’s witty, it’s heart warming and shattering, it’s complex and detailed but easy to read
the characterizations (especially remus and sirius) are my favorite ones i’ve ever seen; and the OCS!!!! omg!! so fucking good
if you’re looking for a long wolfstar fic to commit to, CHOSE THE CADENCE OF PART TIME POETS!!!

Would True Ending teenage Quincey be any more rebellious or is he having few reasons to rebel?
I think he's overall still pretty chill, not much to rebel against when your parents are so supportive and whatnot--but he definitely has more opportunities to get pulled along into other people's teenage rebellion romps--and by other people I mean Lu and her gaggle of society friends who get into all sorts of Wodehousean shenaniganary, per the fact that a few of them are likely actual Wodehouse characters xD

if you'd like to see a fun little 👽👽 movie this Halloween, then boy do I have a link for you!!! :D
Riker Lynch's short film Aliens On Halloween is available to watch at the link above! It's all in a handy dandy playlist on tiktok.
oh, and if you're a Starkid fan it may interest you to know that Aliens On Halloween features the stunning talents of both Curt Mega and Kim Whalen, and they are both as fun as ever. 😘
The gist of the story is that two aliens are on a mission to retrieve human DNA, but whoa, it's Halloween, so they wind up going to a party. Also one of them is more chill & carefree (and maybe a little too into human pop culture) while the other one is Very Serious™ —one of the best character dynamics, tbh. (I didn't know I needed to see Curt as an awkward alien, but god, I really did. River my beloved <3)
I'd say it was a goofy little story with some nice wholesome moments, and just really enjoyable to watch. I loved it and I am definitely going to watch it again soon when I am less tired, lol.
now, if you wanna see it but don't use tiktok have no fear, because neither do I and I was able to watch it just fine! aaaaafter one failed attempt on my phone, lol. the videos Did Not Want To Play, but when I tried it on my laptop there were no issues, so! 😎👍🏻

lead balloon (the tumblr post that saved me)
if this comic resonated with you, it would mean the world to me if you donated to this palestinian family's escape fund.
--
no creative notes because this isn't that kind of comic.
I know I don’t owe any of you anything but I still felt compelled to write about my long term absence. And I feel far enough away from the dangerous spot I was in to be able to make this comic. I have a therapist now, and she agreed that making this could be a very cathartic gesture, and the start of properly leaving these thoughts behind me. I am still, at seemingly random times, blindsided by fleeting desires to kill myself. They’re always passing urges, but it’s disarming, and uncomfortable. I worry sometimes that my brain’s spent so long thinking only about suicide that it’s forgotten how to think about anything else. Like, now that I've opened that door for myself, I'll never be able to fully shut it again. But I’m trying my best to encourage my mind in other directions. We'll see how that goes.
I am still donating all proceeds from my store to Palestinian causes. So far, I've donated over $15K, not including donations coming from my own pocket or the fundraising streams which jointly raised around $10K. In the time since I made my initial post about where this money would be going, the focus has shifted from aid organisations to directly donating to escape funds.
If you'd like to do the same, you can look at Operation Olive Branch, which hosts hundreds of Palestinian escape funds or donate to Safebow, which has helped facilitate the safe crossing and securing of important medical procedures for over 150 at-risk palestinians since the beginning of the genocide.
