bastshuri:
Simple problem, he said. As if his entire existence was “simple.” It drew a short amused chuckle out of her. “And what kind of situation would that be?” Shuri folded her arms and drifted to one side of the street, not wanting to stand in the middle of it. How silly would it be if they got run over by a single car in these empty streets? “Hopefully something I can fix?”
Tumblr media
Managing to draw a chuckle from the princess without really trying Vision smiled to himself, pleased that he was getting better at this whole ‘interaction’ thing.
The synthezoid followed the young woman as she moved to one side of the street. His smile grew a little at her words and he shook his head. “Unfortunately not. The Infinity Stones have seen it fit to tie us to...I think you would call them soulmates? But not soulmates of a romantic nature, given that mine is Clint and neither of us feel anything but friendship for the other.” He was musing a bit as got sidetracked, but quickly pulled himself back on track. “As I was saying. The Stones have connected us and now, if we sleep anywhere but next to our partners we return to them unless physically stopped. I hadn’t thought I would be affected given my lack of a need for true sleep, but the Stones are clever.”

starrphantom:
If it wasn’t frustrating enough that the batteries in her walkie-talkie had died, Ava’s powers were now on the fritz after the emotional turmoil she’d endured. To make matters worse, she’d glitched on the way to the nearest convenience store, the handheld device slipping out of her hand to the sidewalk. No matter how hard she tried to solidify herself to grab her portable radio, her molecules refused to listen. “What the ▧▧▧▧ is wrong with you?!” she screamed at her open palms, huddled over the device on her knees, glitching with each swear word that came out of her mouth.

Vision had been gliding above the rooftops, keeping an eye on things down below him. He wasn’t patrolling, not precisely, more just taking a ‘walk’ to clear his head. Not to mention he was enjoying the feeling of air against his body. He’d spent the majority of the last few weeks intangible, avoiding the spiderlings. After seeing what they could do he didn’t want to risk one bonding with him, not wanting to risk waking any part of Ultron that was left in him after he tore the AI apart.
Tumblr media
Despite his height he still heard the scream and immediately he changed directions, floating down in the direction the shouting was still coming from, cape billowing behind him. As he got closer he recognised the young woman who was shouting. “Ava?” He called out to her as he landed in front of her and a few feet away as not to surprise her too badly, he hoped. He didn’t approach immediately, unsure if approaching would make things worse. “Is there anything I can do to help?”

strongestavengerbruce:
Bruce smiled, more than relieved to hear that everything was in working order. He wasn’t sure he would ever get used to the sound of JARVIS coming from somebody who technically wasn’t JARVIS, but the way he spoke was incredibly comforting. Watching as his hand moved through the solid counter, he found himself incredibly excited to speak to Tony about the makeup of Vision’s new body. There was so much development he had missed during his time away, he had a lot of catching up to do.
Sighing quietly, he wasn’t sure he knew how to put into words the fact that he didn’t think his part to play had been on an alien planet. Maybe it was better if he didn’t. Vision was only trying to assure him, it wouldn’t be fair to brush that aside. His smile growing at the gentle squeeze from the hand resting on his shoulder, he felt more grounded than he had in a long time. As weird as it was, Vision was family. “Tony doesn’t listen to you?” He asked, eyes shining with humour. “You know, people think Tony listens to me, but more often than not he’s just carefully convincing me to become complicit. It’s how you were created. I said no, Tony said yes… I blinked and suddenly I was helping him with the bio-organics.” He couldn’t help but look back on the memory with fondness. Despite the fact that Nat had been missing, that Ultron had been planning some kind of attack.
If Tony hadn’t managed to convince him, then Vision wouldn’t exist. Vision was quite possibly his greatest creation. Science not born of selfishness or arrogance, just a profound curiosity, a determination to make things right. “Are you worried about him?” He asked, his smile fading as he became serious. “Tony?”
The question of whether or not Tony listened to him actually startled a low chuckle out of the synthezoid. “Rarely, moreso, I believe, when I was only JARVIS. Now that I am...more things have changed, as they inevitable do.” Nothing was ever constant, especially not when it came to relationships and people.
Vision’s expression softened as Bruce went on, nodding along. “You are not incorrect, though I do believe that out of all of us you, Ms. Potts, and Colonel Rhodes have the best chance of getting through to him.” At the same time, Vision knew Tony probably better than he knew anyone, even Wanda, thanks to the parts of him that are JARVIS, and he knew that when it came down to it no one could tell Tony what to do and not expect some push back unless it was something Tony was already planning on doing.
Bruce’s question drew another warm smile from the synthezoid, this one just a bit long-suffering. “Always. It’s in my DNA— my coding, as it were. I believe JARVIS was far more advanced at the time of his demise than he let anyone realise. In the core of what was left of him after Ultron’s attack, nearly all of it was Tony’s coding, but there were several protocols that I am positive Tony did not write, protocols to take care of and protect ‘Sir’.” His smile went a bit sad as he thought about the fact that JARVIS had been destroyed protecting the human that had meant the most in the world to him, and then Vision had been destroyed much in the same way and for the same reason, trying to keep Wanda safe.
He shook his head a bit to pull himself out of the memory. “Although, I believe that even disregarding that I would still worry about him. He means a great deal to me.” The synthezoid turns his gaze back to Bruce, his smile warming. “As do you.”

ungodly-mischief:
“Hey Siri,” Loki said, shimmering into appearance, perched on the dining room table. “Hey… Siri,” He says a little more sternly, looking perplexed at Vision, only a few feet in front of him. “Can you tell me  the square root of Pi?”
He waits, checking his watching, before trying again.
“Okay Google?” He asks, then smirks. “Damn forgot, no WiFi in this godforsaken hellhole of a,” he used air quotes, “‘Quarantine Zone,’ must be tough for you, Vision. Never fear, I am sure Tony can find somewhere to plug you in.”
But Loki just offered him a wide grin. “Surprised to see you here, though I did see Wanda, so I suppose you wouldn’t be too far behind from what I have heard, which is sweet. I, too, like them witty.” He offers, as if that likened him to Vision at all. But truthfully, Loki didn’t mind him. He was at least honest, the mortals thought it was too a fault, but Loki thought it was hilarious.
“How do you keep from going mad in this house? So many giant egos, mine barely fit,” He tuts.
Tumblr media
Vision had been passing through the dining room on the way to the kitchen, a dirty mug in his hands, when the Trickster God suddenly appeared on the table. The synthezoid didn’t startle, for the most part didn’t pay him attention even as the man started speaking, Vision assuming he wasn’t talking to him since he wasn’t the attempt at AI that was Siri or Ok Google.
When the Trickster referred to him by his actual name Vision knew the rules of propriety dictated that he should acknowledge the other man’s presence. As Vision had stepped into the kitchen to put the mug in the dishwasher his voice sounded from one of the speakers nearest Loki’s head. “Rhubarb.” Oh, Vision was well-aware the Trickster had meant π and not pie, but as the square of π was an overly complicated answer that Vision didn’t feel like getting into he went with the play on words.
Stepping back into the dining room the mug was gone, the synthezoid’s hands in his pockets now. Loki’s remarks earned him a lightly raised brow, as Vision drew closer. “Yes, I find that Wanda’s wit compensates for my own difficulties fully embracing the concept. I can see how we are alike in that way.” His smile was perfectly polite, the humour exceedingly dry, the synthezoid’s JARVIS showing more than a little bit.
“I read a lot.” And spent most his time with Wanda or Bruce, sometimes Tony if the man could be distracted from his work. “What are you doing here, Loki? Surely you must know the majority of the Avengers, save perhaps for your brother, will not be pleased to see you here.” Vision had access to JARVIS’ memory banks, he knew how their last little dance had gone. Not to mention he’d had the Mind Stone in his forehead, had been created partly because of the scepter that had carried the stone before he did.

hellsguardiandevil:
Why the woman’s love for the girl made Matt’s blood boil he didn’t know. Her gratitude felt like mockery and he was not inclined to withstand it longer than he had to now that the child was safe. He listened to the pair speak for the moment, but the woman was as excited by the idea of talking to them as he was.
Matt hadn’t planned to wait for the ball of static at the bottom of the stairs, but Vision was hovering beside him before he could consider where to go next. He nodded when he spoke. “I suppose it is,” he agreed. Normally, he’d thank him but in this moment he’d rather have forked his own tongue.
“I should go home. I’m less likely to get in trouble there,” Matt told Vision. Or at least the kind of trouble that would cause issues. He gave a grin at that thought that he wasn’t interested in explaining. “Off to find your heart?” he wondered, trying to keep the slight mockery out of his voice.
It wasn’t hard for Vision to tell that he’d outstayed his welcome with the man next to him. Understandable, he supposed, given how everyone had changed and the difficulties that came with that. The ball of electricity had nearly an infinite well of patience, so it didn’t phase him quite as much as it did most people, he didn’t think.
When Matt declared he was going to go home Vision bobbed in what could pass as a nod given his lack of body. “As should I.” He’d been gone for a bit now, and he worried about Wanda when he was gone for too long (he knew he didn’t need to, that she could take care of any trouble she got into, but he tended to be a worrier).
The question had the ball of light shifting, ‘focusing’ on the other as much as he could when he didn’t have eyes. “I am.” He didn’t provide more explanation than that, having a feeling that the other wouldn’t care to hear more. “Take care on your way home. Perhaps we’ll run into each other again sometime.” He didn’t hang around, giving Matthew a ‘nod’ (as much as he was capable) before he rose in the air and streaked across the dark sky towards the Tower in a crackling ball of golden code.

bastshuri:
Shuri breathed a sigh of relief that it had worked and hadn’t hurt Vision in any way. Smiling, she lowered her arms, a little amused that he was oblivious of what had just happened. “You didn’t, thankfully, but I didn’t think sleep-walking was something you were capable of. It made me concerned that I might have… tampered with your matrix back in Wakanda.” She slipped one of the gauntlets off and neared, extending a hand. “It’s good to see you again. This hasn’t been a frequent occurrence for you, has it?”
Tumblr media
The concerned expression faded from his face when Shuri reassured him that he hadn’t attacked her. That was a relief, at least.
Automatically he took the offered hand in a warm clasp, squeezing gently before letting go. He had never been able to fully express just how grateful he was to Shuri for managing to separate enough of his coding from the Mind Stone so that he was able to put himself back together again after his body was destroyed. “Oh, no, unfortunately this isn’t such a simple problem.” Honestly, he would’ve taken a glitch in his matrix over the mess with the Infinity Stones any day of the week.
Tumblr media
“It is good to see you, as well. And, up until a couple of weeks ago, no. But, this is the latest of situations the Stones have created.” He sighed a bit thinking of everything that had happened since he’d entered the dome so many months ago.

strongestavengerbruce:
Bruce nodded, still unapologetically staring at his friend. It made sense that his abilities would be altered, but he was very pleased to hear Vision still had a way to defend himself. “And durability?” He asked, needing to know whether he should start concerning himself with how to make the body stronger. “I mean-” Laughing at his own question, he shook his head. If there was a weakness in the armour, Tony of all people would not only catch it, but fix it. He was an idiot if he ever doubted that. “Tony probably covered that, right? Ignore me. I’m still…” Briefly gesturing towards his head, hoping to convey how easily flustered he still was, how the confusion could still be difficult to shake off, he allowed a shy smile to tug at his lips. “I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you when you needed me.” He said, his voice barely louder than a whisper. “I don’t plan on leaving you again if that’s worth anything.”
Vision’s smile was warm as he listened to Bruce ramble and stumble over his words, recognising the behaviour because it was something he tended to do himself. Perhaps this was where he got it from? He knew he didn’t have genetics in quite the same way a human would, but even coding held the signature of those who wrote it, and Bruce had written a good portion of Vision’s code.
“Durability is more than satisfactory. And I can still manipulate my density, which is useful.” Vision passed his hand through the counter top demonstrating that his current body worked the same in that regard as his previous one. The synthezoid was fairly certain that the nanites could do even more than what he was currently doing with them, but that was something to look into at a later date when the world wasn’t ending around them.
The hand resting on Bruce’s shoulder squeezed gently before it dropped away. “There is nothing to apologise for, Bruce. We all had our parts to play.” His had been being killed, twice, but he’d managed to find a way back and, really, that was all that mattered now. “I appreciate that. I find I prefer it when you’re around, for several reasons, not the least of which is you are one of the few people who Tony will actually listen to.” The parts of him that were JARVIS still worried desperately about the engineer’s health, but now that he was Vision it was difficult to determine whether or not it was still his place to worry over the man.
