🕯️Celebrating Winter Solstice🕯️
This is the way my partner and I have chosen to celebrate the winter solstice and the days of darkness that occur before the sun's path across the sky moves northward again on the 25th.
I thought I would share in case anyone finds this helpful in guiding their own celebration for this time of year.
🕯️In the weeks before:
-decorate a solstice tree with sun and light themed ornaments. If you wrote your intentions last year (see below) begin reflecting on these.
🕯️21st (winter solstice):
-set up altar (other posts share helpful information on how to do this, so I won't go into that here)
-place candles around home to use later that night. Use only candles for light once night falls
-hold a solstice feast and give thanks for everything good that came to you this year. If your intentions from last year manifested, give thanks for this.
🕯️22nd-23rd:
-reflect on things to let go of. Write down everything to release and let go of onto tiny scraps of paper. Continue to write down every hurt, every perceived injustice, all judgments against self or others, no matter how big or small it may seem. Put these in a jar as you write them for these two days.
🕯️24th:
-burn the yule log. One by one toss in your scraps of paper to let these things go. Visualize these dark things burning and becoming the light.
-If you have your intentions from last year (see below) reflect on what manifested, and what still remains to be done, then toss this in too to give yourself a clean slate.
-once the log finishes burning, sit down and write your intention(s) for the upcoming year on a piece of paper. Fold this paper, seal it with wax, then hang it on your solstice tree. Pack this paper away with your solstice decorations when putting them away for next year. Next solstice you can reflect on the past year's solstice intentions when unpacking decorations and setting up your tree.

Witchcraft: Intentions
Abundance:
In a spiritual perspective, the concept of abundance is less about material conditions, revolving instead around an enjoyment of life in its richness, delight and depth of your mind, body and soul.
Attracting:
Attracting (also called Manifesting) is the process of trying to metaphysically invite or bring in a certain spirit, human, energy, or opportunity to align alongside you. Attracting is very intention based and can range from inviting luck inside your home and around you, to summoning a spirit to communicate with.
Banishing:
Banishing is the process of casting out an energy, presence, or entity from yourself, another, or a place. This is more stern, amplified, and stronger than cleansing. This is essentially a spiritual form of an Exorcism, but can include objects and spaces as well.
Binding:
Binding is a method to restrict or restrain an individual entity on a metaphysical level, often to prevent them from hurting themselves, you, or others.
Charging:
Charging is the action of imbuing an object, person, or space with an energy. This can be to give it energetic power in general, or the energy of a particular intention as well. Some practitioners prefer Charming or Enchanting, both of are somewhat similar to Charging.
Cleansing:
Cleansing is like a form of spiritual hygiene for you, another, an item, or area. Some practitioners believe Banishment is an extreme form of Cleansing, such purifying something rather than merely sanitizing it.
Divining:
Divination is the metaphysical pursuit of introspection into potential upcoming or occurring events, challenges, relationships, and opportunism. This is not only for the purpose of looking into the future, for Divination can also be used to look deeper within yourself as well.
Fertility:
Spiritually, fertility can range from the procedure of developing wisdom within, having immense potential, pregnancy, or overall abundance around you. You are becoming one with the fertile soil.
Fortune:
The definition of fortune is wealth, good luck or what is going to come about. Fortune is universally believed to be a conclusion of an external power and can correlate to luck or money.
Glamours:
Glamour Magic are often beauty based illusions that alter or transform what one’s eyes perceive. This can range from appearing more ethereal to using glamours to attract confidence or somebody. Glamours can range from energy imbued charms, to sigils on your mirrors or camera.
Grounding:
Grounding or “Earthing” is the exercise of adjusting your energy and body to the Earth’s frequency. The Earth continually is willing to give beautiful energy whilst transforming your negative energies, and Grounding is found to be incredibly calming whilst also empowering.
Luck:
Luck is considered to be a result of chance. Luck can be defined as success or failure evidently caused by chance rather than through one’s own behaviors. Therefore, luck is the unintentional way things take place without being scheduled. Luck is chance itself.
Prosperity:
Prosperity can be defined as an large quantity of material possessions, wealth, as well as other influences like physical condition and contentment. It can be equivalent to having a great fortune.
Warding:
Warding is the method of casting a shield or barrier to defend and protect a space, person, portal, or item or to deflect potential negative energies and dangers. This is a remarkably important intention to consider and practice.

Rituals under 5 mins
Here are a few suggestions for some ritual work that is under 5 minutes. Simple and quick!
Visualize your keys unlocking opportunities anytime you use them.
Use some herbal smoke, an incense, or diffuser to cleanse your home.
Turn your shower/bath into a cleansing opportunity to wash away all the negativities. Visualize the water as golden rain removing the bad.
Bless your morning coffee/tea with good vibes to be productive and creative for the day.
Close your eyes and take 7 deep breaths. One for every Chakra. Imagine each Chakra becoming aligned with each breath.
Bless your food with gratitude.
Set your intention for the day when you first wake up with an affirmation.

Personal Protections
What are personal protections?
Personal protections are an object the user carries, or a symbol drawn on them or another object, that has been spelled to protect them and their energy. Personal protections can also be done for another person.
How do you create them?
There are many ways to create personal protections. Through visualization, by asking a deity to bless the object with protection, by charging the object with words, and still more. I'm going to explain how I, personally, set up protections. I would also like to note that I use a lot of visualization during this process. If you are someone who can't visualize, I do include a second version without the visualization later in the post.
Protections for yourself:
First, determine the object that will be used. I typically use a piece of jewelry, usually a necklace pendant, but this can be any object. The object I've used for the past 6 years is a pentacle necklace.
If you are using a piece of jewelry, put it on. If you are using an object that is not wearable, hold it in your hands.
Next, visualize a light of energy coming from you where the object touches your skin. Visualize this energy light surrounding the object. At this point, I can also usually feel the object getting warm.
Visualize that energy growing. It's slowly surrounding all of you, creating a bubble shaped around you.
Protections for yourself, minus visualization:
When doing workings without visualization, my go to replacement is words. Words hold power, though I guess this belief comes from my experience with manifestation. If anyone reading has other alternate ways of creating spells without visualization, I'd love to hear them!
Again, start off by determining what object you will be using. It can be any object. I typically use necklace pendants. Jewelry is a common personal protection object because it's easy to carry around, and for people in the broom closet it doesn't raise questions.
Create statements you will use later in the working, things such as: "This (object) protects me", "Nothing can harm me", "My energy is protected". Statements that describe what you are creating this spell for. 3 is a good number of statements to have, but you can use any number you want.
If you are using jewelry, put it on. If your object is not a wearable object, hold it in your hands.
Repeat your statements 10 times, this can be in your head or out loud. 10 represents completion.
Protections for others:
This process is going to be pretty much exactly the same as the personal protection process, except instead of you, you will be visualizing the other person.
Determine what object you will be using.
Next, hold the object in your hands and visualize the other person holding or wearing it.
Visualize a light of energy coming from the object, surrounding the object.
Visualize this energy growing, surrounding the other person in a bubble of light.
Give the person in question the object you spelled so that they may carry it.
Protections for others, minus visualization:
Again, this is going to be exactly the same, except instead of creating statements for yourself, you will be creating statements for the other person.
Determine the object you will be using.
Create statements for the other person you will use in this working. Things such as: "(Name) is protected", "Nothing can harm (name)", "This (object) protects (name)", etc.
Hold the object in your hands.
Repeat your statements 10 times.
Finally, give the object to the person it was spelled for so that they may carry it.
I'd love to hear how anyone reading creates their protections! Also, if you have alternative methods for spellcasting without visualization that doesn't involve just replacing it with statements, I'd love to hear that as well!
