Something about the little gesture of Jeremy constantly putting Barkbark back in Jean’s room and how it’s this way of showing he’s committed. He’s not gonna let Jean suffer alone, not gonna give up on him, not gonna abandon him, not gonna hurt him. He's in the business of making Jean happy. And this stupid cardboard dog means something to Jeremy, a silly joke between friends to accommodate a want he can't have just yet that brings him so much joy. He wants Jean to have that too.
