8/15 Something a little different Last month, I got to relive one of my favorite pastimes. Going to Bar shows featuring local bands. This time it was in a storied San Francisco Bar called the Hemlock Tavern. I was there to see a punk band called Juicebumps. Their music bordered on the end of progressive or even math rock. The crowd definitely had a great time moshing to it nonetheless. I am sad to hear that the bar will no longer be around after September. I heard that the lease for the place will not be renewed in order to turn the building into a mixed-housing development. The Hemlock Tavern which is located on Polk Street will be sorely missed.
