Tolkien themed art trade with dear Gnome ♡

The theme was: mushrooms + each other favorite scene from Tolkien's books. Here goes Bard and Smaug with mushrooms growing on poles around the Lake-town :) I tried to use gouache paints.... it is so hard to do space in traditional media! Everything I render seems so flat compared to sketch ×_×

There are almost no people living in that land anymore. Ruins from great people of different ages are everywhere . Birds and beast are propably evil and watching you.

Today, October 4th marks the day of very important birthday: Hogwarts professor, one who has proven to be the wisest and most badass character in all of Harry Potter, Minerva McGonagall!

Two most important facts about Minerva McGonagall:

First:- She was the first magical character to appear in entire series.

Second:- Everybody knows about her Sorting "Hat-stall" but very few fans know that she is the second character to say "Lord Voldemort's" name apart from Albus Dumbledore (First).

This is my fan art! I envisioned a Winter Post-Snarriet scene. If they were to venture outside during Christmas, Severus might reluctantly don a hat and scarf, yielding to Harriet's insistence. Harriet would gaze at Severus with satisfaction. Initially considering it foolish, Severus secretly finds the hat and scarf warm and satisfying. He probably wouldn't openly admit it. However, Harriet will be aware of Severus' thoughts and playfully tease him...

Crafting entertaining stories isn't my forte, so I'm unsure if this narrative is compelling. Nevertheless, wouldn't a cute thing like this be enjoyable...? Even if it's not directly tied to Christmas, the idea of the two strolling through a Muggle area (similar to the date in France...?) during the Christmas season could be fun :)

However, I would enjoy any story you write...! So keep going anything you want!! Happy New Year btw <33

harriet: “oh, okay…. it’s your call”

(she starts to slowly and sadly walk away carrying the hat and scarf, which trails forlornly on the floor)

snape: “ugh FINE, give it here”

snape, later to himself: “goddammit it’s a lot warmer”

(afterwards harriet pretends she has to cajole him into it every time, which he secretly appreciates so he can put on his cozy hat without losing his air of a miserable bastard)
