You and your boyfriend, Tony, were walking towards the lobby of the NCIS building. You both were just arriving for work bright and early at 7:30am.
If you got to work after Gibbs, you were considered late. So you and all your coworkers made sure to arrive extra early.
You and Tony were walking in silence. You weren’t exactly in a fight, but things were a little tense.
Tony grasped at his pocket, hoping to feel the outline of his phone. “I left my phone in the car. I’ll go back and grab it. I’ll see you upstairs.” He said, giving your hand a quick squeeze before walking away.
You hurried into the building. You wanted to have some time to talk to Ziva and Abby before Tony showed back up. They were your best friends, and you really needed some relationship advice.
The elevator dinged as you arrived on the floor. You scanned the desks. Ziva was the only one who’d arrived at the office yet. She looked up when she heard the elevator and saw you walk in.
Ziva gave you a warm smile. You quickly set your backpack down at your desk before walking over to Ziva’s desk.
You held both your hands out in front of her. With a confused expression, she let you grab her hands. “Girls field trip. I need to talk to you and Abby about something.” You said, pulling her towards the elevator.
Her mind was spinning with possibilities of what you wanted to talk about. She knew it was probably really interesting if you wanted to talk in private.
You both walked into Abby’s lab. You weren’t greeted by the usual loud rock music. Abby was standing at her computer, half asleep.
You lightly knocked on the open door. “Abby?” You called softly, not wanting to startle her.
Abby jumped away from the computer and turned to face you both. “Late night,” she said, simply.
You walked over to her fridge and grabbed her emergency Caf-Pow. “You’re gonna need this. I need to talk to you both and get some advice.” You said, handing the styrofoam cup to her.
You had grabbed Abby’s attention. “Is this about Tony?” She prodded. You nodded your head without revealing much. Abby’s jaw dropped.
“Ziva, shut the door. I’ll get the chairs.” Abby said, wheeling some stools over in a makeshift circle. Ziva quickly shut and locked the door.
All three of you got seated. You could see the curiosity in their eyes. “Are we finally going to hear about yours and Tony’s sex life?” Abby asked, raising her eyebrows at you.
Without thinking, you corrected her. “Well, I can’t tell you about something that doesn’t exist.” You said, quickly.
That was how you stunned them both. Their eyes grew even wider, and their jaws almost hit the ground.
“You and Tony haven’t had sex yet?!?!” They both exclaimed in unison.
Before you and Tony started dating, he made his sexual escapades no secret to his coworkers. Everyone assumed it would be the same with you two.
Abby had been pestering you for details. The entire office was at least a little curious. When you didn’t give in, Abby assumed you just wanted to keep it private. She never assumed you both weren’t there yet.
You and Tony were both pretty affectionate outside of the office when you hung out with your friends. So, their assumptions made sense.
“You’re telling me that you and Tony, the man who acted like he was the sex god, haven’t had sex yet?” Ziva asked, still shocked.
“Do you just not want to yet?” Abby asked, trying to understand the situation.
You quickly shook your head. “No, it’s not that all. I really want to,” you began to say, which got both Ziva and Abby to smirk at you.
“The problem is Tony doesn’t, but instead of talking about it, he keeps dodging the subject. I feel like he’s not attracted to me anymore, or he never was. Every time I think about it, I start to spiral.” You rambled.
Ziva and Abby were always there to calm you down whenever you were overthinking or needed advice.
Abby immediately started shaking her head. “This is Tony we’re talking about. There’s no way he isn’t attracted to you. He practically drools every time you walk in the room.” Abby tried to persuade you. Ziva nodded, agreeing with Abby.
“Then, explain this. Last night, he invited me over for a movie night. We were making out on his couch, and I thought he was finally going to go for it. But as soon as things started to get heated, he said we should probably get some sleep because we had work in the morning.” You explained.
They both grimaced as you told the story. They didn’t know what it was, but they knew from your story that something was off with Tony.
“Well maybe he’s just nervous.” Ziva suggested, trying to calm your nerves. You were expecting the worst case scenario. You needed them to bring you some optimism.
“But, this is Tony. He’s never been nervous about sex with anyone else.” You argued.
Nothing added up, and you’d been wracking your brain for days.
Ziva and Abby started thinking of other possible explanations, but then there was a knock on the door.
All three of you froze. Abby pressed some keys on her keyboard and pulled up the security camera from the hallway.
She looked over her shoulder to see your reaction. On the screen, you noticed Tony patiently standing outside Abby’s door.
“Please don’t tell him that I’m here.” You said, locking yourself in Abby’s back room. You moved behind the wall, so Tony couldn’t see you through the glass.
You could still hear what was going on in the other room. Abby walked over to the door and quickly opened it. “Oh, hey, Tony. How’re you?” She asked, nonchalantly.
Tony looked between Abby and the now-unlocked door. “Why was your door locked? Oh, hey Ziva.” He said, spotting Ziva over Abby’s shoulder.
“Just having some girl talk,” Abby said, aware that Tony was suspicious. He nodded his head slowly, realizing it made enough sense.
“Have either of you seen my lovely girlfriend? I haven’t seen her anywhere. She seemed a little upset this morning. I think I may have screwed up. I just want to talk to her.” He explained to both the girls.
They both nodded, pretending this was brand new information.
You noticed the other room went silent. Neither Abby, Ziva, nor Tony made a noise. Unbeknownst to you, Abby and Ziva pointed towards the back room.
They knew you both needed to talk this out, so you could go back to being cheesy in the honeymoon stage.
Then, you heard someone tapping on the glass door to the back room.
If there was one thing you should’ve known, it was that Abby couldn’t keep a secret.
You took a deep breath, and then took a step towards the glass door. Tony’s eyes met yours. He gave you a soft smile through the glass.
You gave him a half-hearted smile and slid the door open.
“Abby? Can you we use your back room to talk for a minute?” Tony called over his shoulder. His eyes didn’t leave yours for a second. “As long as you both keep it PG,” Abby quipped, trying to lighten the mood a little.
“Thank you, Abby,” you both said in unison. He took a step closer to you and closed the door behind him.
He scooted you both to where you couldn’t be seen by Abby and Ziva, who were both trying to read your lips.
“I know where this is going, Tony. If you’re going to dump me, can you please do it later at home? I will be mortified if our friends have to watch me leave this room crying.” You told him, bracing for his response.
Tony’s concern increased significantly. He had no idea what you were talking about. He grabbed both your hands. “Slow down. Why would I be breaking up with you?” He asked you.
He tried to read your expression for an answer. He thought if he looked hard enough into your eyes, he could read your mind. You tried to organize what you wanted to say. You were having a hard time arranging a coherent sentence.
“Please talk to me. That’s absolutely crazy? Do you know how much I love you?” He asked you, rubbing his thumb over the back of your hand.
You almost felt frustrated that he didn’t know what you were talking about.
“But you won’t have sex with me, Tony. And you won’t talk to me about why that is. You have plenty of experience, so there’s no reason for you to be nervous. So, the only thing I can think of is you’re not attracted to me anymore.” You explained.
He started to slowly shake his head, realizing what spurred your assumptions. He leaned forward and pressed a kiss to your shoulder, begging for forgiveness.
“That’s not it at all. I promise. I am very attracted to you.” He said, kissing you. His lips pressed against yours firmly. It took everything in your power to pull away from the kiss.
“Then, what is it, Tony?” You asked. You were dreading the possibility of Tony dumping you, but more than that, you wanted answers. You needed clarity.
Tony took a deep breath, looking down at your hands in his. He pulled you over to two of Abby’s stools. He held one stool steady for you to sit down, and then he sat on the other one.
“I’ve been avoiding sex because I’m terrified. I mean, yeah, I’ve had a lot of flings and one night stands, but that’s completely different from sex with you. I’ve never had sex with you. You mean so much more to me than those flings ever did. With you, I want it to be special and perfect, but I’ve never had to do special before. I’m scared that I’ll ruin it.” He explained to you.
You had never seen Tony so vulnerable. His anxiety and worry was written all over his face. You immediately pulled him into your arms, tightly hugging him.
You ran your hands up and down his back, trying to comfort him. Your heart was breaking for him and how concerned he was.
You moved so you were sitting sideways in his lap. He wrapped his arms around your waist and buried his head in the crook of your neck.
You slowly laced your fingers through his hair. “You aren’t going to mess anything up.” You whispered in his ear. He looked up at you with an unsure expression.
You pressed a kiss against his temple. “Tony, it doesn’t have to be perfect. Nothing is perfect. I don’t want you to be stressed about this. I appreciate how much you care, and that’s why it will be so special. It’ll be special because you love me and I love you. That is all I need. That’s all I care about, okay?” You reassured him.
His heart was practically melting. Somehow, you always knew the right thing to say. “I love you.” He whispered to you. Your lips curved up into a smile.
He leaned in and kissed your lips softly. “Thank you for understanding.” He said, giving you a kiss after each word he said. You nodded your head.
“How about you come over tonight, and I’ll set everything up, okay? You don’t need to worry about any of it. Just come over.” You suggested.
Tony was so grateful for you. You were able to calm him down when no one else could. “I love you so much.” He told you, smiling. You stood up and pulled him to his feet.
“Let’s get back to work before Gibbs kills us.” You told him, sliding the door open for him. You both stepped back into Abby’s lab and were met with expectant faces. Abby and Ziva was very curious about how your talk went.
“Please tell me your talk went good. You guys are so perfect. I don’t want you to break up.” Abby told you both, with a worried expression. She wrapped her arms around both of you, pulling you into a group hug.
“We’re not breaking up.” You and Tony said in unison.
Abby pulled away from you, looking relieved. “You’re not breaking up. I’m so happy for you both. I didn’t know what I was going to do. I was worried we’d have to pick teams, and I know how much you love each other— but wait that means,” Abby interrupted her own rambling.
Smirks appeared on both Abby’s and Ziva’s faces. “You two are having sex tonight.” Ziva said, noticing the red on Tony’s cheeks.
“We are not taking any comments at this time.” Tony said, putting his hand on the small of your back. He attempted to quickly guide you towards the door, but Gibbs suddenly walked through the door.
“What are all of you doing down here?” He asked, looking around at all four of you.
You and Tony kept your mouths shut. There was no way you were explaining this to Gibbs. Abby, on the other hand, couldn’t lie to Gibbs.
“We did some relationship counseling. Now, they both have some big plans for tonight.” Abby said, winking at the two of you.
The last thing you expected was a chuckle out of Gibbs. You stood in shock as he actually laughed at the situation. You expected a scolding and him to yell “back to work.”
“This day just gets weirder and weirder.” Tony said, taking this awkward silence to usher you both out of the room.
“I’m excited for tonight.” Tony whispered to you, as you both stepped in the elevator. He knew that everything would be okay.

high school reunion date
pairing: tony dinozzo x reader
summary: last minute, tony ends up as your date to your high school reunion. old foes from high school make you feel bad about yourself, but tony is there to comfort you.
word count: 2.3k
Tumblr media
“So, I have some bad news.” Abby said. Her cautious expression told you how nervous she was. She was so worried you’d be mad at her.
“What do you mean? Is everything okay?” You asked her, concerned. She hesitated.
“You know how I said I would go with you to your high school reunion tomorrow? I got a call from my aunt, and she needs me to come over tomorrow night, so I can’t go. I’m so sorry.” She told you.
You calmed down once you realized no one had gotten hurt or anything. “Abby, that’s fine. Family stuff comes first. I get it.” You said, giving her an encouraging smile.
She pulled you into a hug. “Thank you so much for understanding. I was worried to tell you. I hate being a flake so much.” She rambled.
You giggled to yourself, wrapping your arms around her. “It’s okay, Abby. I promise.” You told her.
Gibbs came storming into the room. You looked over your shoulder at him. “Back to work, please. I need to talk to Abby.” He said. You nodded your head and hurried towards the door.
You headed to the break room before your desk. You were only halfway through your work day, and you were already tired. That could only mean one thing. Coffee.
You entered the break room and spotted Tony making himself a cup of coffee. You noticed two cups of coffee in front of him. “One of those days?” You teased him.
You hadn’t even seen Gibbs drink two cups of coffee at once, and he was a next level coffee addict.
“Actually, this one’s for you. I was gonna bring it to your desk. You seemed a little tired.” He said, turning and handing the cup to you.
You instantly felt your lips curve into a smile. It was hard for you to not smile around Tony. He made you feel like a giggly teenage girl.
“Thank you so much. You are a savior.” You said, graciously accepting the cup.
Then, an idea popped into your head.
“Do you have any plans tomorrow night?” You asked him, curiously. He cocked his head to the side. “You asking me on a date?” He teased you with a wink.
You playfully elbowed him. “My high school reunion is tomorrow night. Abby was supposed to go with me, but something came up. I am desperately in need of a date. I need someone I can talk to if it all gets too awkward. Please, Tony? There’ll be a bar, and I’ll pay for your drinks?” You tried to convince him.
Tony didn’t need much convincing.
“Calm down there, sweetheart. I’ll be there. You don’t need to convince me.” He said, stopping you from rambling. You felt your cheeks heat up at the affectionate nickname. He’d never called you sweetheart before.
“You’re the best.” You said, giving him a hug. He chuckled and wrapped his free arm around you.
“And what will you be wearing to this special occasion?” He said, jumping right back into teasingly flirting with you.
“A nice dress, and before you respond to that, remember how good of a right hook I have.” You said, innocently smiling back at him.
He nodded to himself, taking a step back. “Then, I’ll see you tomorrow.” He said, smiling at you. He started to walk past you and leaned in towards you as he passed.
“I look forward to seeing you in that dress.” He whispered in your ear and then kept walking.
The butterflies that were in your stomach multiplied. You didn’t know how you were going to survive a whole evening with Tony.
Later the next night, you had just finished getting ready when you heard Tony knock on your door.
You grabbed your purse and headed for the door.
As you swung the door open, you were too busy admiring Tony to see the way his eyes raked down your body.
When your eyes finally met, you noticed that he was standing frozen still. “Wow, you weren’t kidding. It’s a really nice dress.” He said, unashamedly checking you out.
“You like it?” You asked, spinning around for him. If it was possible, his eyes got even wider.
“Let’s just say I’m happy Abby backed out.” He said, smirking at you. He held his arm out for you to grab and led you to his car.
Like a true gentleman, he opened the car door for you and then walked around to the drivers side.
“So what’s the deal tonight? Am I just your friend from work who's tagging along or am I acting as your boyfriend to make someone jealous?” He asked you.
“Just my friend from work. So you’ll have to keep the ogling to a minimum.” You said, letting him know you’d seen him staring.
“That might be a challenge, but I’ll try my best.” He replied.
You both walked into the reception hall at the hotel where the reunion was being held. You immediately started recognizing faces.
Tony looked over at you, waiting to follow your lead. “I’m going to need a drink for this.” You said, taking a deep breath.
As if on cue, the most popular girl in school came over to you. Mindy was the most judgmental and backstabbing person you’d ever met. You avoided her throughout all of high school, and you planned to continue doing that.
“Y/N, it’s good to see you. I didn’t know you had a boyfriend.” She said, looking Tony up and down.
“Mindy, this is Tony. He’s just a friend.” You said, introducing the two of them. Tony stuck his hand out and shook hers politely. He immediately noticed the tension between the two of you.
“Oh, you don’t have a boyfriend? I guess nothing’s changed since high school,” she said, hiding behind a fake laugh.
You clenched your jaw and felt your body tense up. Then, you felt Tony’s hand on the small of your back.
“I will go get you that drink.” He leaned in and whispered in your ear.
Mindy watched as Tony walked away. “So, what’s Tony’s deal?” She asked, with a sly smile. You felt your stomach churn.
“Not looking to date,” you lied, protectively. The idea of Mindy hitting on Tony made you feel sick to your stomach.
Mindy picked up on how much it bothered you. “Maybe I’ll just have to convince him.” She mentioned.
“Is divorce number four even finalized yet, Mindy?” You asked, cocking your head to the side.
One way you had changed since high school is now you were used to carrying a gun. That meant that standing up to a high school bully didn’t phase you.
“Always looking for number five though. Tony’s not too bad on the eyes either.” She continued. You dug your nails into the palm of your hand.
“Not sure that rude women are his type,” you said, walking away towards the bar where Tony was.
You saw Tony waiting for your drinks, and he was talking to the man standing next to him. You wondered why the man looked so familiar. You assumed it was some acquaintance from high school.
Tony saw you approaching out of the corner of his eye. He turned to face you. “Speaking of, here’s my date for the evening.” He said, gesturing towards you.
The man turned to look in your direction. You met his gaze, and you realized why you knew him. It was your ex-boyfriend, Derek.
“We actually know each other already. It’s nice to see you.” He said, his eyes raking down your body.
“Ahh, ex-boyfriend?” Tony asked, putting two and two together. You slowly nodded your head.
So far, your evening sucked. You had run into the two people you didn’t want to talk to or ever see again.
Without really thinking it through, you wrapped your arm around Tony’s waist. For once, you wanted to make someone jealous. You wanted to show him how far you had moved on.
Being partners meant Tony knew how to read your mind in any situation. He quickly picked up on what you were doing.
“I guess that makes this a little awkward.” He quipped, grabbing your waist and pulling you in closer to him. He leaned over to you and kissed your temple.
Not knowing what your plan was, Tony started to improvise. “If you don’t mind, I actually love this song,” he excused to the two of you, and started guiding you towards the dance floor.
“I didn’t think he’d be here.” You said, leaning over towards Tony.
“It’s fine. He seemed like an asshole anyway.” He said, rubbing his hand comfortingly on your back.
Tony wrapped his arms around your waist and started dancing with you. As soon as you started to relax in his grip, one of your friends from high school came up to you.
“Hey, it’s so good to see you. I was just talking to Derek. I didn’t know you had a new man in your life.” She said, smiling at you.
You put the fake smile back on your face. “Yep, this is Tony. We work together.” You said, introducing them.
She quickly excused herself because she spotted someone else she wanted to talk to.
You felt tears welling up in your eyes. You dropped Tony’s hand and headed for the exit. He was quickly following behind you, but you weren’t stopping for him.
You had had enough of people from high school being shocked at the idea of you having a boyfriend.
On top of that, you felt mortified that Tony was seeing their reactions. You were embarrassed, and you never wanted to be embarrassed in front of Tony.
You walked out the front doors of the hotel, hoping you had lost Tony in the crowd.
You heard his footsteps as he chased after you.
You wiped some tears off your cheeks. “I’m sorry I made you come to this stupid thing. This whole thing was a bad idea. I just want to go home.” You said, still too embarrassed to face him.
“Hang on, let’s just talk for a second” he said, grabbing your hand and spinning you around to face him.
You could see the worry in his eyes. Tony always did everything in his power to protect you. He had a vague idea as to why you were upset, but he knew there was something more to it.
“I shouldn’t have dragged you to this. This was all a mistake.” You said, looking up at him through tears. He cupped your face and wiped the tears off your cheeks.
“You don’t need to apologize for anything. I just want to know what’s making you upset and how to fix it.” He said, calmly.
Tony had never cared for anyone as much as he cared for you.
“I feel like everyone from high school is so successful. They’ve all gotten married and had kids, and they’re CEOs of companies. I don’t have any of that.” You ranted.
He brushed your hair out of your face. “You have so many successes. You aren’t less successful than any of those people. I’d say you’re more successful than all of them combined.” He tried to reassure you.
It didn’t help. You still felt like the girl that had nothing to say when asked what was new.
“You’re great at your job. You help save people everyday. You’ve saved my life more times than I can count. You’re generous and caring. All of your friends know they can rely on you to be there for them. Forget any of those people. Maybe they have fancy jobs, but they’re assholes. And you’re not, you’re amazing.” He said, grabbing both your hands.
You could feel the butterflies in your stomach as Tony looked at you. He was looking at you so intently you thought he could see into your soul.
You leaned your forehead against his shoulder. “I appreciate that you’re trying to cheer me up, but it just sucks that I can’t even pretend to have a boyfriend. Everyone we talked to looked so shocked at the idea of me having a boyfriend. And they’re right, because I haven’t had a boyfriend in years. I have to resort to making you pretend to be my boyfriend.” You rambled, still feeling self-conscious.
“What do you mean, pretend?” He joked, trying to get you to smile. The comment took you by surprise and a giggle slipped through your lips. “Tony,” you whined, still smirking.
“Just trying to make you smile, sweetheart,” he said, giving your hands a squeeze.
You noticed the twinkle in Tony’s eyes. You were mesmerized by him. You always were.
Tony always knew the right thing to say, and he always made sure you knew how much he cared about you.
“What if it wasn’t pretend?” You asked, your eyes locked on his. You could almost see the gears turning in his head. “What are you saying?” He asked, cautiously.
Before you could chicken out, you cupped Tony’s face and kissed him. He quickly wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed you back.
You could taste the scotch on his lips as he kissed you. He pushed his weight against you and backed you up against the wall.
You let your hands move to cup the back of Tony’s head, tangling your fingers in his hair. Tony was toying with the fabric of your dress.
You felt the butterflies in your stomach. This was the last way you expected this evening to end.
You both pulled out of the kiss. “God, I really like you, which you clearly know now.” He confessed. You held on to the collar of his shirt, keeping him close to you.
“This is how I dreamed this night would go. You as my charming date, getting to show you off to everyone from high school.” You told him, smiling cheesily.
“What do you say we go back in there? Just us? We can dance and drink. We’ll just ignore anyone that you don’t want to talk to?” Tony suggested. You quickly nodded, and he grabbed your hand and pulled you inside.

pairing: tony dinozzo x reader
summary: you’d been too scared to confess your feelings to tony, which you means you have to sit idly by as beautiful women flirt with him. then one day, you’ve had enough and tony overhears you ranting about how much you want to be with him.

“Gibbs, they’re sending someone from the FBI over with those files.” You mentioned, hanging up of your phone.
Gibbs nodding, continuing the form he was filling out. “Good work, L/N. What do you have, Dinozzo?” Gibbs asked. Tony looked up with a surprised expression. He thought he had more time before Gibbs called on him.
“Nothing yet, boss,” Tony responded, bracing for Gibbs’ response. Gibbs didn’t even have to use words. He just glared at Tony. “I’ll try harder.” Tony said, going back to typing on his computer.
You smiled to yourself. Every member of the team had been in that position before. Any day you were on Gibbs’ good side was a good day.
Your computer dinged, and you saw an email pop up in your inbox.
New email from [email protected]
You glanced up at Tony and saw him pretending to innocently be hard at work. You opened up the email:
“You gotta quit me making me look so bad. You gotta at least give me a fair shot.”
You quickly typed back a response.
“You love me and you know it”
You heard Tony’s computer ding. You looked over the top of your computer to watch his reaction. He chuckled to himself when he read it. He looked up, meeting your gaze.
You blew a kiss in his direction. He chuckled and winked at you.
“Maybe you’d have something for me if you started working and stopped flirting, Dinozzo.” Gibbs said, seeing the way you were both smiling at each other.
“To be fair, boss. She started it.” Tony said, throwing you under the bus. You eyes frantically darted over to Gibbs. The wrath of Gibbs wasn’t something anyone looked forward to.
“But, unlike you, she’s getting her work done at the same time.” Gibbs said, giving you a smile. Your frown and worry disappeared. “Thank you, boss,” you said, cheesily grinning.
“Take a little break. Maybe Dinozzo will focus better. Can you bring Abby this Caf-Pow for me?” Gibbs asked, holding the cup up for you. You stood up, grabbing it from his hand.
“Right away, boss,” you said, heading towards Abby’s lab.
You could hear Abby’s signature rock music playing before you even got off the elevator. You knocked on the open door, causing Abby to jump and turn around.
“Caf-Pow delivery from Gibbs,” you said, smiling. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. You walked further into her lab, handing her the cup. “Gibbs usually delivers my Caf-Pow’s himself. Is he mad at me?” Abby asked, staring down at the cup like it would give her answers.
You wrapped your arms around her, giving her a quick hug. “He’s not mad at you, Abs. He was trying to get me out of the squad room. Because apparently I was distracting Tony too much.” You explained.
Abby smirked. “Of course you were distracting him. He can never take his eyes off you. You both are so in love. You just can’t admit it.” Abby said, cheerily.
Abby was right. Well, at least about your feelings towards Tony.
You had never told Abby about your crush though. Abby hated keeping secrets, so you didn’t want to make her keep yours. Regardless of whether you confirmed it or not, she had been confident for years that you and Tony liked each other.
The only person you ever told was McGee. After all, you needed someone to talk to about it, and McGee had really good advice.
“We are not in love, Abs. We’re just friends.” You told her, like you had a thousand times before.
“I’m holding out hope.” She told you, ignoring what you said. Abby slid two stools over for you both to sit on.
“I’d be a shame if you both were to get locked in an elevator together or something.” She suggested with a sneaky smile. Your jaw dropped. “Abigail Sciuto. You wouldn’t dare.” You said, stunned.
“You underestimate my commitment. I know for a fact that Tony could only handle so long in a confined space with you before he is all over you.” She said, winking at you.
You both froze when you heard the elevator doors ding and slide open. Neither of you wanted Tony to overhear your conversation.
“I’ve got company and gifts, Abby.” You both heard Tony’s voice announce as he entered the lab. You noticed a woman in a pantsuit following close behind him.
“Agent Fusco, this is Abby Sciuto, our forensic scientist, and my colleague Agent L/N.” Tony introduced the three of you.
Tony turned around and grabbed the evidence box out of Agent Fusco’s hands. “This is the evidence that the FBI has on our case, Abs. Do your thing.” Tony said, handing the evidence over to Abby.
Abby started organizing the contents of the box, and you couldn’t take your eyes off Tony and his new friend. She was practically drooling over Tony.
“Why don’t I give you this. You can call if you have any questions or if you don’t have any dinner plans?” She said, batting her eyelashes at Tony and handing him her phone number.
You expected Tony to laugh in her face and throw the card away. He didn’t.
He actually smiled at her and slid the card into his pocket. “Thank you. I can show you out now.” He said, placing his hand on the small of her back and gesturing towards the door.
You watched in shock as they both exited the room.
As soon as the elevator doors closed, you and Abby turned to face each other. “Did you just see what I saw?” You both exclaimed at the same time.
“Little miss I can just bat my eyelashes at a man and make him fall to his knees. Like come on, are you kidding?” You complained. Your jealousy wasn’t even hidden at this point.
This isn’t what Abby was going to point out, but she didn’t think you were ready to hear it yet.
“It sounds like someone is jealous.” Abby said, knowing she’d almost caught you. You shook your head, defensively. “I’m not jealous. I just think it’s a little unprofessional.” You lied.
Abby tilted her head to the side. She didn’t believe a word coming out of your mouth.
“Really? There’s not even a little part of you that wishes it was you asking Tony out?” She challenged you.
You knew she was absolutely right, but you couldn’t bring yourself to admit it.
“I need to get back to work, Abby.” You said, turning on your heel and heading towards the door.
“You’re in denial. The heart wants what it wants.” She called after you as you left the room.
You walked back into the squad room, and Tony was walking past you going towards he bathroom.
Apparently, your jealousy was written all over your face.
“You okay?” Tony asked, stopping in front of you. He didn’t think it had anything to do with him, but he knew something was wrong.
“Yeah yeah, I’m fine.” You lied, giving him a fake smile. He didn’t seem satisfied with your answer, but accepted it.
He walked past you, and you headed towards your desk.
Later, you were standing in the observation room as Tony and McGee were interrogating a suspect.
You had been grumpy since you saw Agent Fusco flirt with Tony. You were unbelievably undeniably jealous. The only person you wanted Tony to flirt with was you, which you knew was stupid because you couldn’t get the courage to tell him how you felt.
Your attention was focused on the suspect, trying to decipher whether they were telling the truth or not.
On the other side of the door, Abby was pacing the hallway. She was trying to decide whether she should tell you what she noticed earlier about Agent Fusco.
You jumped as Abby burst through the door. “Jesus, Abby. Almost gave me a heart attack,” you said, placing your hand on your chest.
“Sorry, but I need to tell you something. You didn’t notice this because you were feeling jealous, but you need to know. Agent Fusco is like a knock off version of you. You both could be sisters, which is probably why Tony is interested. I know you kinda hate her right now, but you only hate her because you think she’s this girl Tony likes more than you. But she’s not. She’s the girl that reminds him of you, and he can date her without risking your friendship. It’s the only reason he hasn’t made a move. He doesn’t want to lose you on the off chance you don’t feel the same way.” Abby ranted.
You felt butterflies appear in your stomach at the thought of her being right.
Then, your self doubt kicked in.
The technician at the soundboard was so intrigued as he eavesdropped that he accidentally bumped a button and turned on the microphone in the room.
“Abby, I know you have this fairytale idea in your head that Tony and I will end up together, but that doesn’t make it true.” You started to say. Unknowing to you, Tony, McGee, and the suspect were hearing every word.
They were all frozen still, not fully realizing what was happening.
“I care about Tony so much, but I can’t get my hopes up for the fairytale. The odds Tony likes me are practically zero. I cant handle the disappointment. So, yeah I have to fake a smile as he flirts with other women, but there’s nothing else I can do. So, just stop bringing it up! Every time you do, I get excited but then I have to get pulled back down to Earth and it sucks.” You argued, all your pent up emotions coming out.
You were about to continue when McGee started knocking on the one-way glass. Being the only one who knew about your feelings for Tony, he wanted to protect you. He knew you didn’t want Tony to hear what you were saying, but he felt like he couldn’t react fast enough.
Abby sprinted out of the room after you yelled at her.
You realized Tony had heard at least part of your rant, and you felt sick to your stomach.
You had to get away from Tony, and you had to apologize to Abby.
You ran out of the observation room and headed straight for the elevator down to Abby’s lab.
When you got there, Abby had locked her door. You walked to the vending machine down the hallway and bought two chocolate bars. You needed to apologize to both Tony and Abby, and chocolate wouldn’t hurt.
You sat down on the floor outside Abby’s lab. You would wait as long as it took to apologize.
After a few minutes, the elevator doors opened in front of you.
Tony stepped out of the elevator and gave you a hesitant smile. “You're next in line, I promise.” You told him. He furrowed his eyebrows, having no idea what you were talking about. “Line for what?” He questioned.
“People I need to apologize to,” you said, simply. You fidgeted with the hem of your shirt, not wanting to look him in the eye. You were still feeling mortified that Tony heard your little rant.
Tony leaned against the wall in front of you. “Why do you need to apologize to me?” He asked, cocking his head to the side.
“I embarrassed you in front of all our coworkers. All because I couldn’t act professional.” You admitted.
Tony’s expression softened. He saw how guilty you felt. “You can take me off your apology list. You didn’t do anything wrong to me.” He told you.
Your head snapped up to look at him. You were shocked that he wasn’t mad. “So, Abby locked you out?” He asked, gesturing towards the closed lab door.
You nodded your head. “She has every right to. I shouldn’t have yelled at her just because I was frustrated.” You said, honestly.
“You want me to get her to let you in?” He suggested. Tony always did everything in his power to help you out. You shook your head, knowing Abby needed time.
Tony took a step toward you and held his hands out. “C’mere,” he said, waiting for you to grab his hands. You placed your hands in his, and he pulled you up to your feet.
He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you in for a hug. You breathed a sigh of relief, knowing Tony wasn’t mad at you. You wrapped your arms around him.
He continued to hold you, and then you remembered something.
“Oh, I have an apology gift for you.” You said, pulling out of the hug. You grabbed the chocolate bar out of your pocket and handed it to him.
He chuckled to himself, always amazed at how sweet and caring you were. “Special apology chocolate?” He asked, smiling at you. You smiled back and nodded your head.
“So, why don’t I give this back to you as an apology gift from me? Then, we can call it even?” Tony suggested.
You tilted your head to the side, trying to figure out what he was talking about. He had nothing to apologize to you for. He slipped the chocolate bar back in your pocket.
“An apology for what?” You asked him.
“Not doing this sooner,” he said, taking a step forward and kissing you.
His hands cupped your face as he passionately kissed you. It took you a second to kiss him back, still in shock.
You wrapped your arms around him, letting your fingers caress his back. He nudged you backwards until your back was pressed up against the wall.
You felt the butterflies swirling around in your stomach. His hands strayed from your face and traveled down to sit on your hips. You grabbed the collar of his shirt, keeping him close to you.
His lips felt electric on yours. Every inch of your skin was tingling. The kiss became more impatient. You both had spent years dreaming about being in this exact situation.
Tony spent many nights wondering what your lips would feel like on his. Your lips were softer than he imagined they would be.
He let his fingers sneak under the fabric of your shirt. His fingers left goosebumps on your bare skin.
You both heard a door slam open and turned to see a speechless Abby.
“Just friends, huh?” She said, with a smirk on her face.
Tony took a step back from you, knowing you wanted to apologize to Abby.
“Abby, I’m sorry about what happened earlier. I didn’t mean to snap at you. I just was overwhelmed, and I’m really sorry.” You said, sincerely.
Abby’s lips curved up to form a smile. “Don’t worry. I know you didn’t mean it. I don’t have any regrets. Someone had to talk some sense into you both and get you to confess how obsessed with each other you are.” She said, still smirking at you both.
“Also, I wasn’t really mad. This was part of the plan. Who do you think called Tony and told him to come down here?” She said, coyly.
You remembered the comment she made to you earlier about locking you both in an elevator together. It wasn’t an elevator, but it did the trick.
And she was right. Tony was only able to last so long in a confined space with you before being all over you.
Tony stood right behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist. He pressed a soft kiss behind your ear.
“Thank you, Abs.” He said, before smiling down at you.

saved my life
pairing: tony dinozzo x reader
summary: after you accidentally hint at your feelings for tony on a stakeout, his safety is threatened and it’s up to you to save him.
word count: 3k
warnings: violence, guns, mention of sex dreams
Tumblr media
“C’mon, I’m bored. Let’s play twenty questions.” Tony suggested, looking over at you. You both were on day four of a stakeout, and Tony was starting to get restless.
You both were sitting in a car, waiting for your suspect to show at the pier you were at.
You looked over at Tony sitting in the drivers seat. His bottom lip was stuck out as he gave you puppy dog eyes. “Fine,” you said, giving in.
“I go first. What’s the worst excuse you’ve ever used to get out of a date?” Tony asked, with a curious twinkle in his eyes.
You thought about it for a second, when a memory came charging to your mind. Tony knew you had an answer when he saw your face drop. “You know what it is, but don’t want to say it.” He said, smirking at you.
You took a deep breath before preparing to tell a story you swore you’d take to the grave. “It wasn’t exactly a date, but I was at a coffee shop one day. This guy came over and didn’t get the hint that I wasn’t interested. He just kept trying to flirt with me. Then, I saw McGee walk in the coffee shop. He had no idea what was going on, so he came over to say hi. I pretended he was my boyfriend and introduced him to the guy as my boyfriend. McGee was thrown off and nervous, so I got up to hug him…” you started to explain, before stopping.
“Don’t stop now, it’s just getting good.” Tony said, encouraging you to continue.
You prayed McGee wouldn’t mind that you were telling this story.
“McGee thought I was trying to kiss him as a part of the illusion, so he kissed me. I wasn’t expecting it, so it was the most awkward thing I’ve ever done.” You said, covering your eyes with your hands.
Tony’s jaw dropped. “You kissed McProbie?” He asked, his voice getting all high and squeaky. You just nodded your head, still hiding your shame.
“We go undercover as a couple all the time, and I’ve never gotten to kiss you.” Tony complained. You pulled your hands off your face. “That’s what you took away from that story?” You asked, rolling your eyes at him.
Tony was always overly interested in your love life.
“I guess I’m just feeling a little left out.” Tony said, pretending to pout like a child. You huffed to yourself. “It was a kiss, Tony. No big deal,” you said, simply.
You quickly leaned over and pecked his lips. “See? No big deal,” you said, smugly. You knew you had left Tony speechless. He was sitting, frozen in his seat.
You had a tiny crush on Tony.
“My turn. Who’s your celebrity crush?” You asked him. You waited for Tony to snap out of the daze you put him in. When he did, his answer was immediate. “Jennifer Lopez,” he said, simply.
“Who was your last sex dream about?” He asked you, catching you off guard. Tony saw the way your eyes went wide, which only intrigued him more.
You shook your head, quickly. “I want another question.” You said, trying to avoid the conversation completely.
There was no way you were telling Tony you had a sex dream about him.
And you couldn’t think of any lies that would be a better answer.
The smirk on Tony’s face grew. “You don’t want to tell me for a reason. It’s somebody I know, isn’t it?” He asked, as giddy as a kid in a candy shop.
His mind was racing through the list of people it could be.
“I am not telling you,” you said, crossing your arms.
Tony stared at you, almost hoping he could psychically find the answer. Then, you could almost see the lightbulb go off in his head.
“Was it about our very own McProbius?” He asked you. Tony was extremely confident that his answer was right.
When you simply shook your head, he didn’t know what to think.
“Well there’s no way it’s Palmer, no offense to Jimmy,” Tony said, and then he froze. He glanced over at you with a horrified expression. He placed his hand on your shoulder. “It’s not…Gibbs, is it? Cause, I do not want to know about that,” Tony asked, his disgust clear on his face.
You knew how determined Tony could get. He wouldn’t stop asking until he figured it out.
“Will you stop guessing already? It was you, Tony.” You admitted, exasperated. You had never seen Tony so stunned. Then, his shocked expression changed into his signature smirk.
You knew you had just encouraged his ego, which was never a good thing.
“Tell me about it,” he said, almost whispering. You flicked him on the forehead. “Not happening,” you told him, smugly.
He grabbed ahold of your hand, while looking at you with a desperate expression. “Please, I need to know. I’m not afraid to beg.” He asked you.
“You only get one question. It’s my turn now. You ever have a sex dream about me?” You asked, trying to put Tony on the defensive. It didn’t work.
“Several,” he answered quickly, as though it was common sense.
“Now back to my questions. Tell me about yours,” he said. You had tried to turn it around on Tony, but now you were the one sitting with your jaw dropped.
“I don’t even know what you want to know, Tony.” You said, trying to dismiss it. He shrugged. “Whatever you want to tell me. Was it any good?” He asked you, already knowing your answer from the way your cheeks were tinted pink.
“Yes, it was very good, Tony. We were at a fancy hotel. We were undercover, but ummm, we weren’t faking anything.” You said, feeling thoroughly embarrassed.
You noticed the way Tony smiled and the sparkle in his eyes.
“So, you would say I…left you pretty satisfied?” He asked, pushing his limits. As soon as the words left his lips, you swiftly punched him in the arm. “Ow,” he exclaimed, holding his hand over his upper arm.
“No more details for you. Move on and ask another question.” You told him.
“Biggest turn on in a guy?” He asked, far more interested than he should have been.
You decided to give him payback and mess with his head a little.
You used this high-pitched, giggly voice. “I just really love Italian guys who work for NCIS. Also, major bonus points if he’s a movie buff.” You teased him. His excited disposition faded pretty quickly.
“Not fair,” he said, frowning. You continued to giggle to yourself.
“Alright, Mr Italian Dreamboat, how many women have you slept with?” You asked a question you’d always wanted to know.
Tony simply chuckled. “You really think I know the number?” He boasted.
You felt your jealousy take over. You had been into Tony forever. Sometimes you worried he would rather sleep with every other girl in DC over you.
“Oh yeah, I forgot. God forbid Anthony Dinozzo have a serious relationship that isn’t just about sex.” You said, not meaning to sound so snarky.
Tony was usually a light-hearted person. You watched that entire exterior fade away. The glare that he sent you made you realize you screwed up.
“Low blow. You want to kick some dirt in my eyes too? It’s not enough to just stomp on my wounds?” Tony scoffed, before getting out of the car and slamming the door.
You turned on your earpiece that connected only to Tony’s. “Tony, wait, come back. I didn’t mean it like that. I’m sorry,” you begged him to come back.
You knew his safety was at risk if the suspect showed up.
You watched Tony take his earpiece out as he was walking away. He threw it on the ground and stomped on it with his shoe.
Tony was walking closer and closer to the edge of the pier, and you were worried he’d bump into the suspect.
Then, you noticed a suspicious van appear at the other end of the pier. You knew it was the suspect. Tony was walking straight for it, not knowing, of course.
You grabbed your gun and leaped out of the car. “Tony, your one o’clock.” You scream, as you’re running towards him. Then, you saw shots start getting fired at Tony.
Tony ducked down behind some boxes, but you couldn’t tell if he got hit or not.
You stopped in place, carefully aiming at the suspect. You shot two rounds into his chest, and he fell to the ground.
Tony looked over at you, giving you a thumbs up to tell you he was okay. He walked towards the suspect who was lying on the ground. He kicked his gun away from him.
You had turned around to walk back to the car. You needed to call in Gibbs and Ducky. Then you heard Tony shout your name.
You turned around and saw Tony fighting with some other guy. The guy was using a construction-style chain and hitting Tony with it.
You started sprinting towards Tony, but you weren’t sure you’d get to him fast enough.
The guy knocked Tony’s gun out of his hand.
The guy dropped the chain as he went to grab the gun, and Tony’s foot got caught in the chain.
In the struggle for the gun, the guy bumped Tony into the water.
You watched the entire scene in slow motion. You felt a pit open up in your stomach. It was enough to eat you whole.
“Tony!” You screamed as your heart stopped. In a mad rush of adrenaline, you shot the guy three times as you were running.
You dived right into the water. You saw Tony struggling to swim with the heavy chain pulling him down.
The water was only probably fifteen feet deep, but Tony was sinking fast.
You swam down to him. Your first instinct was to grab the chain and try to carry it as Tony swims up. It was too heavy for you to pick up, even in the water.
He sunk a little further and his feet hit the ground. You thought the chain was just wrapped around his shoe, so you pulled his shoe off his foot.
You realized the chain was around his ankle. Tony, who was looking down at you, noticed the look of panic in your eyes. You tugged at the chain, but it wouldn’t budge.
You looked at Tony and held up one finger. You quickly swam to the top, grabbed a breath, and then swam back down.
You could tell he was struggling at this point. You began to panic.
You felt Tony’s hands grab your shoulders. You looked up at him. He looked resigned. “It’s okay,” he mouthed to you. You shook your head, refusing to let him die.
You swam back down to where his ankle is. With a new determination, you unknotted the mess of chain and slip his leg out.
A smile spread across your face. You looked up at Tony, expecting a relieved expression, but he was unconscious.
You wrapped his limp arm around your shoulders and swam him to the surface.
Tony had never failed you, and you were going to be damned if you ever failed him.
Gasping for air, you pulled Tony up onto the pier.
“Please, Tony,” you whispered as you started chest compressions.
Nothing was working.
You would never be able to get the image of Tony’s lifeless body out of your head.
You leaned his head back. “You’re gonna hate that you missed this.” You mumbled, pinching his nose and blowing air into his mouth.
He still laid lifeless.
“C’mon, Tony, please. Come back to me,” you begged. You started your chest compressions again.
You felt Tony’s hand, which was pressed up against your knee, poke you lightly. You almost thought you imagined it.
Then, Tony jolted awake, coughing up water. A smile instantly spread on your face. You helped lift Tony’s head up for him to cough up all the water he inhaled.
You collapsed next to him. You clutched onto Tony’s arm, resting your forehead against his shoulder. “You kissed me, didn’t you?” He asked, causing you to giggle.
Only Tony would come inches from death and still have a joke ready on the tip of his tongue.
“Don’t you ever scare me like that again.” You demanded. Breathlessly, he just nodded. “I promise,” he said, reaching over and interlacing his fingers with yours.
You used all your energy to pull yourself up to a sitting position. You looked down at him, and just felt thankful you hadn’t lost him.
You cupped his face, your eyes beginning to tear up. “Tony, I am so sorry. I didn’t mean any of what I said. I was just feeling jealous. What I said was uncalled for. I swear, I didn’t mean it.” You apologized.
His lips curved to form a smile. “I love you too,” he said, placing his hand over yours.
“Now, c’mere, I can’t sit up.” He said, beckoning you down to kiss him. His cold lips pressed against yours.
He chuckled as your wet hair dripped water droplets onto his forehead. He pressed another short kiss to your lips before pulling away.
“I’m sorry too. I shouldn’t have stormed off. I risked your safety, and I never should have done that.” He told you, honestly.
You heard tires screeching as Gibbs and Ducky pulled up to where you were. You both were supposed to update Gibbs every 15 minutes on the status of the stakeout. When Gibbs hadn’t gotten that message, he called both your phones, which were both so full of water that they wouldn’t be working any time soon. That’s when he knew something was wrong.
Gibbs raced over to you both. “What happened? Are you both okay?” He asked, hurriedly.
“Tony almost drowned. I had to perform CPR. Ducky needs to check him out.” You told Gibbs, who signaled Ducky. Ducky started setting up his supplies in the back of the truck.
“We have to get you over to the truck, Dinozzo. L/N, help me carry him.” Gibbs said. You both went to Tony’s sides and helped him onto the stretcher to sit down.
“Duck's gonna look at him. Let me check you out.” Gibbs said, pulling you to the side.
“I’m fine, Gibbs.” You dismissed it. He ignored what you said and started looking at your face. “You’ve got a scratch, come here,” Gibbs said.
You tried to pull away from his hand, but he didn’t let you. He grabbed the first aid kit in his pocket. “I don’t need this. I’m fine.” You argued.
Gibbs shook his head. He cleaned your cut with a wipe, and then put a bandaid on your cut. “Here, take this,” he said, slipping his NCIS jacket around your shoulders since you were shivering.
By that point, you were in tears. “Are you alright?” He asked, placing his hands on your arms.
You smacked him away. “This your fault. I told you we needed backup. I told you we needed backup that was close. I knew something could go wrong.” You yelled with tears streaming down your face.
“Y/N!” He yelled, interrupting your rant. You looked up at him through the tears in your eyes.
He knew this rant wasn’t actually about you being angry.
“I almost lost him, Gibbs. He was just lying there. I thought I lost him. He just looked so…” you admitted, unable to say the word.
He wrapped his arms around you. “It’s okay, kid. You were there to protect him. You had his back. It’s okay. He's right over there. Ducky's gonna look at him and tell you he's fine. Why don’t you go talk to him? Okay?” He told you, rubbing your back.
You headed over to where Tony was sitting on the stretcher. “Everything okay, Ducky? Tony’s alright?” You asked him.
“Yes, I promise. I just need to check a few more things, but Anthony is fine. And that is thanks to you, my dear.” Ducky told you. That brought a smile to your face. You felt like you had failed Tony.
You sat on the stretcher next to Tony. “I know you’re probably doubting yourself right now, but you did everything right.” He assured you.
You turned to face him, stunned that he had so easily read your mind. Tony knew better than anyone. “You’re my partner. It’s my job to know exactly what you’re thinking.” He explained.
You started to tear up as you realized how special your’s and Tony’s bond was. You were aware of how close you had come to losing him. “I’m the reason you stormed off. If I had just kept my mouth shut, then none of this would have happened. I screwed up, Tony.” You told him, honestly.
Aside from your no-longer-secret crush on him, you had always told Tony everything.
Tony interlaced his fingers with yours, giving your hand a soft squeeze. “You didn’t screw up. You saved my life.” His voice cracked as he told you.
He leaned in towards you and pressed a kiss to your forehead. That was when you noticed how blue his lips were.
“Ducky, do you have one of those thermal blankets? Tony is freezing.” You asked, looking over at Ducky. He nodded and started to rummage through a cabinet.
“You could kiss me to warm me up.” Tony joked, nudging your leg with his. You giggled seeing the smirk on his face. You pressed a quick kiss to his lips.
Ducky handed you the silver blanket. You unfolded it and tried to wrap it around Tony’s shoulders.
“You’re just as cold as I am.” He protested, wrapping the blanket around the two of you. Under the blanket, his free hand found yours and interlaced your fingers.
Ducky I walked over towards the two of you again. “Everything looks good, Anthony. We can have Jethro or Timothy drive you both home. You both need to get into warm, dry clothes right away. Y/N, my dear, if you could just keep an eye on Anthony and call me if anything happens.” Ducky explained to you both.
“Don’t worry. I won’t let him out of my sight.” You said, smiling over at Tony.

favoritism
pairing: tony dinozzo x reader
summary: mcgee notices that tony is nicer to you than he is to anyone else on the team, so he calls him out on it. then, tony has to swoop in to protect you from your aggressive boyfriend.
word count: 2.2k
Tumblr media
You, Tony, and McGee had just made it back to the office after visiting a crime scene. McGee was mad at Tony because he let you sit in the front seat.
“McGee don’t look so sad. You’ll get frown lines.” Tony said, looking over at McGee pouting. He just glared at Tony. “McGee, I would’ve given you the seat if I knew you cared this much.” You told him, honestly.
“Thank you, but I’m not mad at you. I’m mad at Tony.” He said, giving you a smile and then glaring at Tony.
You giggled to yourself at their childish nature. Tony and McGee were always feuding over something. “You are the probie. Y/N has seniority, therefore, she gets shotgun.” Tony explained.
McGee just rolled his eyes. You walked over to McGee’s desk and hugged him from behind. He rested his hand on your arm. “I’m sorry, Tim,” you said, kissing the top of his head.
“Tony, you are so full of it. It’s not a seniority issue. It’s because you think she’s pretty, which you are, of course.” McGee explained his point. Tony was shocked. Of course, Tony was absolutely attracted to you, but for McGee to reveal that.
“Do you give me special treatment because you think I’m pretty, Dinozzo?” You asked him, cocking your head to the side. Ducky, who was walking by at the time, replied “of course he does.”
“I think you’re jealous, McGee” Tony suggested, desperate to change the subject. You leaned your head to rest on McGee’s shoulder. “Don’t listen to him, Timmy.” You whispered before heading down to Abby’s lab to discuss something with her.
When you came back up, Tony was eating a sandwich at his desk. “Oh that smells really good. Is that from Bert’s deli down the street?” You asked, sitting down at your desk. Tony nodded his head and gestured for you to come over.
“Take a bite,” he encouraged, as he handed you the sandwich. He stared intently as you took a bite, watching your reaction. “Mmm, that’s good. Thank you,” you said, kissing him on his cheek.
Tony had a cheeky grin on his face. You turned around and saw McGee was frowning again. “What’s wrong, McProbie,” Tony teased.
“I missed lunch and asked if I could have some of your sandwich. You told me no.” McGee said, with his jaw clenched. Tony slid his arm around your waist, pulling you closer to him. “Not to damper your confidence, McGee, but you’re not as pretty as Y/N is,” Tony said, smiling up at you.
Gibbs walks in the room, causing you to run back to your desk. Gibbs didn’t even say a word. He just pointed at McGee. “The system is still running. We haven’t got any hits yet.” McGee said, bracing for the wrath of Gibbs.
You noticed the disappointed expression on Gibbs’s face. “I got it, boss,” Tony said, throwing a balled-up piece of paper at McGee.
Gibbs turned to you next. “I’m still trying to get the files from the police department. They are being slow to respond though.” you explained. Gibbs nodded, and no piece of paper came flying at you.
McGee looked around, not believing what he was seeing. “Nothing for her? Really?” McGee asked, looking over at Tony.
“She’s his favorite. That’s how it goes,” Gibbs said, shrugging.
You stopped him. “Wait, what do you mean favorite?” You asked, curiously. Gibbs assumed this was common knowledge.
“Everyone’s got a favorite. Mine is Abby. Abby’s is McGee. You are Tony’s,” Gibbs explained. You considered what he was saying, and it made sense.
“I’m honored, Tony.” You said, smiling at him. He held up his hand in a salute. “No problem,” He said, giving you a cheeky wink.
“I want more answers when I get back.” Gibbs said, storming out of the room.
You stared at your silent phone, praying for the police department to call you back. You continued sending them emails and waiting for the phone to ring.
“Tony, I’m bored,” you whined, looking over at him. He could have melted from the sweet expression on your face. “C’mere,” he waved you over his desk.
You quickly walked over to his desk and sat on the side of it. “Entertain me,” you begged him. He rolled his chair closer to you. After placing his hand on your knee, he leaned in close to you. “I could find us an empty conference room. I could keep you entertained for at least an hour.” He jokingly flirted.
You giggled to yourself, moving his hand back down to your knee from where it had been inching up your leg. “I don’t think my boyfriend would appreciate that very much.” You admitted.
Tony frowned. He hated whenever you brought up your boyfriend. From what Tony heard from you, he wasn’t the best guy. Also, the few times they had spoken, your boyfriend was an asshole to Tony. Tony hated that you stayed with him.
“I don’t know what you mean. Your boyfriend is right here, and he doesn’t mind at all.” He said, gesturing towards himself. Joke flirting was one of the main ways you and Tony communicated, but some times it felt less and less like a joke.
“You’ll have to settle for work-boyfriend. Only if you play your cards right though,” you teased him.
You grabbed his hands in yours, pulling him to stand up. You spread your legs, so he could stand right in front of you. You wrapped your arms around his waist, hugging him. He slid his arms around your back, holding you tightly.
“I hate Baltimore PD. They’re dodging all my calls.” You complained into Tony’s chest. He used one hand to stroke your hair. “I could make some calls for you and see if I could pull some strings.” He offered, making you smile.
You squeezed him tighter. “Thank you thank you thank you,” you said, enthusiastically.
“Of course, I mean you’re the prettiest one here. You could probably ask me to do all work, and I would just say yes.” Tony said, shooting glares over at McGee for his earlier statement.
“Why the hell are you hitting on my girlfriend?” You heard someone yell behind you. You turned quickly and saw Kevin, your boyfriend. Tony instantly felt the mood change. He saw how aggressive Kevin looked.
You stepped in front of Kevin, keeping him from getting any closer to Tony. “Honey, Tony was just kidding,” you told him, trying to keep Tony uninvolved.
“Come on, McGoober,” Tony said, walking away with McGee to give you both some privacy. Kevin wasn’t done yet. “I’m keeping my eye on you,” he called after Tony.
Tony looked over his shoulder to make sure you were safe. You gave him a small nod. Tony and McGee sat down in the break room. “Why don’t you tell her how you feel?” McGee asked Tony.
Tony glared over at McGee. “And how do I feel about her?” He asked, playing dumb. Tony wasn’t exactly loving McGee trying to play relationship counselor.
“C’mon, you like her, Tony. You’re always smiling when she’s around. You get all excited when you see her. There’s nothing wrong with that.” McGee told him. Tony knew he was right. He knew he had feelings for you, but he shouldn’t.
“Yeah, except for that one thing. What was it? Oh yeah, that she has a boyfriend!” Tony said. His tone was dripping with sarcasm. McGee felt for his friend. “She has a shitty boyfriend that’s an asshole to her and her friends. You really think she’d pick that over her friend who cares about her more than anything?” McGee tried to reason with Tony.
Tony sighed to himself. He hated how complicated love was. He had found the perfect girl, but she was with someone else.
Someone else walked into the break room. As the door was briefly open, Tony heard you yelling at Kevin.
He jumped up from his seat, heading slowly back towards you and Kevin. He wanted to give you space to handle it, but also wanted to be close if Kevin crossed a line.
“Kevin, I said leave.” You snapped. Kevin grabbed your wrist forcefully.
Tony ran over immediately. He yanked Kevin’s hand off of you and stood in between the two of you.
“Hey, buddy. Pretty sure she asked you to leave,” Tony snapped. His fists were clenched at his side, and he was fuming. “Why don’t you just stay out of this? I’m trying to have a conversation with my girlfriend, not her coworker who’s hot for her.” Kevin countered, trying to push Tony to the side.
Tony flipped him around and slammed him against the wall. “Unless you want to get charged with assaulting two federal agents, you’re going to leave now and leave her alone.” Tony growled in his ear, shoving him towards the elevator.
As soon as the elevator doors closed, Tony raced over to you. “Are you okay? Did he hurt you?” He asked, examining your wrist for any bruises.
“I’m okay, Tony,” you said, a few tears slipping out of your eyes. He wrapped his arms around your waist, giving you a tight hug.
“I don’t want to cry on your shirt.” You said, trying to pull away from him. He tightened his grip. “I don’t mind, I promise.” He said, softly.
“Oh, why do you stay with him?” Tony muttered, thinking out loud. He continued to rub your back, trying to comfort you. “Who else am I supposed to date? You?” You asked him, and you felt him freeze. You didn’t even realize you said it until the words were out of your mouth.
“Let’s go get some fresh air.” Tony said, pulling you out to the balcony and sitting next to you on a bench.
You leaned your head over on his shoulder. “I’m sorry that Kevin tried to drag you into our fight. He told me that he slept with another woman this weekend. When I got mad and started yelling at him, he tried to justify it by saying that you and I must have hooked up at least a few times.” You explained the situation to him.
“Inside, you scoffed at the idea of dating me. Am I really that terrible?” He asked you, referring to your previous conversation. You quickly shook your head. “No, I just meant you wouldn’t reciprocate the way I feel about you. I didn’t think you would be a bad boyfriend at all.” You told him.
Tony tilted his head to the side, replaying what you said in his head. “And how do you feel about me?” Tony asked you, curiously. After years of waiting, he was almost there.
“That doesn’t matter. I knew you’d never feel the same way,” you deflected, worrying about Tony looking at you differently.
“I have been flirting with you for years trying to get you to see that I feel exactly the same way.” He whispered, leaning over towards your ear. You felt a shiver run down your spine. Did Tony really feel the same way?
“I thought you just had a flirty personality. I didn’t think anything of it.” You confessed. You knew it sounded stupid now. Tony chuckled to himself. “Nope, just with you,” he replied, nudging you with his leg.
You looked up at him. You could almost see a twinkle in his eye. “I know I shouldn’t, but I really wanna kiss you right now.” He said, almost like he was under your trance.
“Why shouldn’t you?” You asked him, scooting closer to him. “Well your very angry boyfriend probably wouldn’t appreciate it the most.” He said, glancing down at your lips.
You shook your head. “Ex-boyfriend. I was kicking him out cause I dumped him,” you corrected him.
As soon as Tony heard the words come out of your mouth, his lips were on yours. He didn’t want to waste a second.
His hands traced down your sides, landing on your hips. His thumbs drew little circles against your skin. You ran your fingers through his hair causing him to smile into the kiss.
He tightened his grip on your waist, picking you up so you were sitting in his lap facing him. “I’ve got you, sweetheart,” he whispered, in response to your shocked expression.
You wrapped your legs behind his back, and he moved his grip to the back of your legs. You held on tightly to him as he stood up, carrying you.
His lips didn’t leave yours for a second. He was in love with the taste of your strawberry lipgloss. He was sure it was all over his face, but he didn’t care.
He walked over to the wall, pushing you up against it. “You look so beautiful.” He mumbled against your lips. You smirked, seeing the effect that you had on him.
You both heard the door to the balcony slam open. “Taking the favoritism too far, Dinozzo. Back to work, both of you.” Gibbs snapped at you both.
You both rushed back to your desks. McGee noticed the shiny lipgloss covering Tony’s lips and the slight pink on his cheeks. McGee knew he was right about both of you.
Tony grinned at you over the top of his computer. He knew you’d both be finishing that later.

disney day date
pairing: calum hood x reader
summary: as the a manager for the band, you got to spend the their day off on tour with them at disney world. it may push calum to make a move since he’s always had a soft spot for you.
word count: 3.3k
Tumblr media
“Why am I missing somebody?” You mumbled to yourself, recounting the number of people in the van.
“Oh, I know why? Where is Calum?” You huffed. You grabbed your phone out of your pocket and quickly dialed his number. The phone rang and rang. “I haven’t seen him at all this morning.” Luke mentioned.
You let out of a sigh as you got Calum’s voicemail. “You all stay here. I’ll go get Cal, and then we can leave.” You told them, heading back into the hotel.
You were the guys’ manager, and today was a non-show day on tour. You all had decided to go to Disney for the day.
You got out of the elevator on the sixth floor and walked to Calum’s door. You knocked on the door. “Calum, are you in there?” You called out.
You heard a lot of noise coming from inside his room, and then the door swung open. Calum looked like a mess. His hair curls were all covering his face, and he didn’t even have a shirt on.
“Oh, uh hi,” you mumbled, left speechless by what you saw in front of you.
“You like what you see?” He teased you. You rolled your eyes and playfully hit his arm. “Oh shut up, you were supposed to be downstairs like 15 minutes ago.” You scolded him, doing anything to bring the conversation away from how you were ogling him.
“I’m so sorry. I missed my alarm this morning.” He said, inviting you inside. Calum walked into the bathroom and spritzed himself with cologne. You were almost drooling as you saw his back muscles flex.
To say you had a thing for Calum would be an understatement, but you were their manager, and you had no idea if your feelings were reciprocated.
Calum patted his pockets checking for his phone and wallet. You grabbed the tshirt that he had lying out on his bed. “Am I missing anything else?” He asked, walking out of the bathroom.
“A shirt might be helpful,” you told him, handing it to him. His cheeks flushed red. You both were good at teasing each other. If one of you had a sassy comeback, you knew it was only seconds til the other person made another joke.
“I thought you liked me better without a shirt?” He quipped, tilting his head to the side. It was your turn for your cheeks to heat up. You stepped forward to hit his arm.
He took a step back and held his hands up in surrender. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” he said, pulling the shirt over his head.
You rolled your eyes and grabbed his arm. “Let’s go, Hood.” You said, pulling him downstairs.
You got to the van, and Calum slid the door open for you. You thanked him as you stepped into the van, taking a seat next to Luke. Calum took the other empty seat next to you. “Somebody finally made it.” Michael exclaimed.
You noticed that the guys had rearranged where they were sitting while you had been upstairs. They no doubt had done this to make sure you and Calum were forced to sit next to each other.
Once you both had buckled your seatbelts, the driver pulled away from the curb. “So what took you two so long?” Ashton teased the both of you.
Calum shot Ashton a death glare. You threw up your middle finger. “I have your ticket, Irwin. Don’t piss me off.” You threatened. This earned a few chuckles from the rest of the guys.
Everyone started their own little side conversation. Ashton and Michael were talking about some new album they had listened to. Luke and Sierra were talking about Petunia. The few crew members were all talking amongst themselves.
Calum lightly placed his hand on your knee, tapping your skin with his index finger. You looked over at him. He leaned in toward your ear. “I’m sorry about being late this morning.” He whispered, not wanting to draw attention to your conversation.
You placed your hand on top of his. “Calum, I swear, I’m not mad. It’s no big deal.” You assured him. When you removed your hand from his, he kept his hand placed on your knee. You could feel the butterflies inside your stomach.
You made eye contact with Michael, and his eyes darted to Calum’s hand on your leg. He smirked at you, to which you returned a glare.
He chuckled at your reaction and went back to his conversation. “What was that about?” Calum asked, leaning in towards you again. You shook your head, dismissing it. “Just Michael being Michael,” you explained.
Calum chuckled, knowing exactly what you meant. The butterflies in your stomach only got worse when you heard Calum laugh. You leaned your head over onto Calum’s shoulder. His cheeks immediately turned bright red.
Ashton managed to take a sneaky picture of the two of you. He knew you’d want it after you finally confessed your feelings.
The van pulled up to the front gates. You got out of the van, and everyone gathered around you. You grabbed the stack of tickets out of your backpack and handed them out to everyone.
After you did that, Calum pulled you to the side. “You want to hang out together?” He suggested, praying that you would say yes.
“Yeah, of course,” you told him, smiling. Calum swore his heart skipped a beat.
“Everybody pick a ride buddy,” Luke joked, imitating a school teacher on a field trip. “I call dibs,” Calum announced quickly, and grabbed your hand. This earned a few chuckles from the other guys. “We all know why,” Ashton muttered.
“C’mon, Calum. Let’s go,” you said, tugging his hand. Calum had a lovestruck smile on his face. Anytime the guys teased the two of you, he worried you’d find about his feelings towards you. For the past year, you and Calum had a will-they-won’t-they thing going on.
Calum hated that he hadn’t been able to make himself confess his feelings, but he didn’t want to risk your friendship.
“Hey, you two, wait up.” You heard Luke call from behind you both. You and Calum turned around and saw Luke and Sierra walking towards you.
“You guys mind if we hang out with you?” Sierra asked you, smiling.
“No, we don’t mind at all.” You responded.
You all walked into the park, and you instantly felt super excited. You grabbed onto Calum’s arm, and you were practically skipping.
You caught Calum staring at you with a giant grin on his face. “You look really happy,” he said. He couldn’t get the smile off his face from seeing you all giddy.
“I have severely needed this, Cal. I have been babysitting you four for two months on tour. Some Disney magic is just what I need.” You told him, giggling.
You saw Sierra drag Luke toward the castle to take a picture. “Would you like to take a photo with me?” Calum asked, nudging your shoulder.
“Is that even a question?” You responded. On tour, you were always taking pictures of the guys behind the scenes and whatnot.
Calum pulled his phone out of his pocket, and you both posed for some selfies. Knowing Calum wouldn’t make a move, you leaned over and kissed his cheek for one of the pictures.
Luke and Sierra were still taking pictures, so you both ran up behind them and photobombed.
The first ride you chose to do was Haunted Mansion. You and Calum were in your own little cart, and so were Luke and Sierra. The ride started to move into the darkness.
You noticed Calum scooch closer to you, so your legs were pressed up against each other. “You scared, Cal?” You teased him. You couldn’t see him, but you know you earned an eye-roll. “I am not. I’m just trying to keep you from getting scared.” He replied.
“Oh, what a gentleman,” you said, giggling. You rested your hand on Calum’s thigh. You honestly worried that the two of you would never be brave enough to confess your feelings.
The ride came to halt, and a message played about how the ride would be running shortly.
“Calum, keeps your hands to yourself.” Luke and Sierra yelled towards you both.
“Our friends are kinda pains in my ass,” Calum joked, making you giggle. “Yeah, but I don’t think they mean anything by it.” You lied.
“Y’know, we could always mess with them and tell them we made out.” Calum joked, out of nowhere. You gasped. “Calum becoming the prankster? I like it.” You said, having to stop yourself from suggesting you should just actually make out.
You heard a mechanical whirring noise, and you anticipated the ride was about to start. You were listening to the noise and then, “Boo!” Calum whisper-yelled in your ear, causing you to jump.
“You asshole,” you said, hitting his arm. Calum was in a fit of laughter after seeing the shocked look on your face. “I’m so sorry,” he said, putting his arm around you and pulling you closer to him.
The ride started and continued moving.
Once you all got off the ride, you started walking towards the rollercoaster that Luke had requested.
“So, did you know have a fun time on a ride in the dark together?” Luke asked, winking at you.
“Yeah, totally Luke, we made out.” Calum said sarcastically. He wrapped his arm around your shoulders, pulling you close to him. Luke furrowed his eyebrows, looking at Calum’s face.
“Nah, if you both made out, Calum’s face would be bright red.” He said, returning to Sierra’s side up in front of you.
“Sorry about him,” Calum said, moving his arm from your shoulders. You wrapped your arms around his side. “Put your arm back. It’s been two months of tour, and my legs are sore.” You told him.
He chuckled, returning its arm to where it had been. “So, I’m just here to hold you up?” He asked, to which you nodded.
“It’s not your only purpose. You’re good company, but holding me up is one of your many benefits.” You told him, giggling.
You all continued walking, you saw Sierra taking a video of her and Luke on her phone. You didn’t think anything of it, just her taking a video for Instagram. Calum saw it too, and just before she panned the camera back to show you both, he moved his arm and took a step away from you.
It felt like a dagger to your heart. You couldn’t believe he was embarrassed to be seen with you like that. You started to doubt whether he actually had feelings for you.
“Oh, hey look, it’s the other guys,” you said, pointing to Michael, Crystal, Ashton, and some of the crew guys. You headed towards their group, desperate to get away from Calum.
Calum saw how fast you jogged over towards them, and he knew he messed up. He had only been trying to protect you. He knew if fans saw his arm around you, they’d assume you both were dating. Then, the nasty comments would start.
“Hey, you guys, we’re going to ride Space Mountain. Care to join?” You invited them all, and they all agreed.
You all were walking over there, and you were hanging out with Ashton. “So what’s up with you and Cal? You guys are normally inseparable.” Ashton said.
You shrugged your shoulders. “I don’t know. I thought we were good, but he had his arm around me. Then, Sierra was taking a video, and he literally jumped away from me. How the fuck am I supposed to interpret that?” You ranted.
“Oh shit, I’m sorry, man. I’ll be your new ride buddy if you want.” He suggested. You smiled at his sweet gesture. “Thanks, Ash,” you said, leaning your head on his shoulder.
Calum, who was walking a few feet behind you both, saw you do this and instantly felt jealous. He knew it was his fault, but he cared about you so much.
Throughout the whole line, Calum just stared at you the whole time. He felt more jealous than he ever had. He was jealous Ashton was making you laugh, and you looked really happy. But Calum wasn’t the one making you happy.
Due to luck, Calum got seated behind you both on the ride.
You were riding up to one of the biggest drops in the ride. You grabbed onto Ashton’s hand and got ready for the drop.
Calum saw it and thought he was going to be sick.
Calum knew he needed to apologize to you, but you wouldn’t even look in his direction. He was also worried that he might end up accidentally telling you how he feels.
You all walked to the next ride, which had a really long line. For Calum, that meant more time to think of how to apologize. His eyes were trained on you throughout the whole line.
He noticed that you started fanning yourself to cool down. He didn’t think much of it. You were outside at a theme park, and it was pretty warm.
Then, he noticed your cheeks starting to get red. No one else seemed to notice.
“Guys, I really don’t feel good,” you said, looking more faint now.
Calum didn’t waste any time. He walked towards you. You started to lose your balance, and he grabbed your arms, holding you steady.
“I’ll take you to go cool down and get you out of the heat.” He volunteered, guiding you backwards through the line.
You didn’t protest even though you were currently mad at Calum.
Calum found a gift shop that was indoors with air conditioning. He carefully helped you sit down on the floor before taking a seat next to you.
“Here, drink some of this,” he said, handing you his bottle of water. You slowly took a few sips, trying to cool yourself down.
He grabbed the hand you weren’t holding the bottle in. He slipped your hair tie off of your wrist. “Let me get your hair up off your neck,” he said, gathering your hair and pulling it into a ponytail.
“Why am I surprised you know how to do hair?” You said, smiling at him. He was happy to see that smile again, even if you were still mad at him. “I have a sister, but mainly because I’m a man of many talents,” he joked.
“You’ll have to tell me about the other ones some other time,” you flirted. Calum was more shocked by the flirty comment than you were, but he didn’t say anything about it.
You leaned over and rested your head on Calum’s shoulder. “You feeling a little better now?” He asked you, placing his hand on your knee.
“Yeah,” you said, softly. He could tell you were still a little mad at him. Things didn’t feel completely natural again yet.
He let you relax and sent the guys a text telling them where you both were.
Eventually, you noticed the rest of the guys walking into the gift shop. “You feeling better?” Sierra was the first one to ask you. You nodded your head, smiling at her.
“We were thinking about doing a water ride next, if you’re down,” Ashton told you.
You looked over at Calum. “It’s up to you, if you’re up to it. If not, I’ll stay here with you.” He told you, sweetly.
“I’m down for a water ride.” You replied. Calum carefully helped you to your feet.
You walked with Sierra and Luke most of the way to the ride. Calum’s eyes were trained on you the whole time. He was determined to keep you safe.
After waiting in the line, Calum ended up sitting behind you on the ride since it was only one person across.
You all had a blast on the ride, and the cold water made you feel a lot better.
After finishing the ride, Calum checked on you to see if you were still feeling good. You assured him you were fine, and you headed to the next ride.
You were talking to Calum in the line. You were hoping he’d bring up what happened earlier and apologize. He just avoided the topic.
You felt yourself start to shiver. Being soaking wet from the last ride meant you were now freezing. “C’mere,” Calum said, pulling you into a hug. He wrapped his arms around your body.
Calum was always warm, which helped you feel less cold. He rubbed his hands up and down your back. You could hear his heartbeat, and you noticed how it started to race.
“Hey, um,” he started to say. You looked up to meet his gaze. You figured he was finally about to apologize. Calum looked like he didn’t know what to say.
You heard him curse under his breath, and then he started to lean in. You realized he was about to kiss you.
You took a step back, pulling yourself away from him. His eyes shot open, knowing he had screwed up.
“You’re not even going to talk about it or apologize? You’re just going to try to fucking kiss me? Absolutely not.” You said, turning around and starting to leave the line.
“You alright?” Ashton called after you because he’d seen the whole interaction. You ignored him and kept walking.
“Wait, come back,” You heard Calum following behind you. You didn’t even slow your pace. Once you had left the line, you turned around.
“Leave me alone. You fucked up, Cal, now just let me have a moment to myself.” You snapped at him. You continued walking away from him.
Calum still didn’t listen. “I need to talk to you. I care about you,” he called after you.
You stopped dead in your tracks and laughed to yourself. “You care about me? Alright, fine. You wanna talk, let’s talk.” You said, dragging him over to a corner where no one was.
“Let’s start with what the hell was that kiss about?” You asked him. He scrunched his eyebrows, in confusion. “Because I have feelings for you. I was pretty sure you had feelings for me, until you started yelling.” He explained.
“Of course I have feelings for you.” You snapped, knowing it was obvious to everyone around you. This only made Calum more confused. “Then why are you mad about me trying to kiss you?” He asked you.
You rolled your eyes. “This isn’t about the kiss. This is about how you were an asshole this morning.” You had to stop yourself from yelling. Calum was speechless. He still didn’t know how to fix what was going on between the two of you.
“Did you think I didn’t notice? Sierra was taking a video, and you stopped touching me and scooted over. You made me feel like it was embarrassing for you to be seen with me. And you knew I was mad because you know me better than anyone. And you still never thought to apologize. Just when I thought you’re finally going to apologize, you fucking try to kiss me and ignore the whole thing.” You start ranting.
Calum realized how badly he had hurt you. “Oh, shit. I am so sorry. That wasn’t what I meant by that, I swear. I was worried if people saw us all touchy in a video, they would assume we were dating. I knew how brutal people would be. I was pretty sure we both felt the same way about each other, and I didn’t want you to get any kind of hate or anything. I care about you so much.” He apologized.
You cupped his face and pulled him in to kiss him. Calum quickly wrapped his arms snuggly around your waist.
“I am so sorry,” Calum whispered, leaning his forehead against yours. “It’s okay, Cal,” you said, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

the boss’s goddaughter
pairing: tony dinozzo x gibbs goddaughter!reader
summary: you think it’s your lucky day when you bump into a super charming attractive guy at your godfather’s office. that is, until you realize the guy is an agent on your godfather’s team
word count: 1.9k
warnings: pinch of swearing, implied smut, and really really flirty and charming tony
Tumblr media
You huffed to yourself, looking down at your watch. You were currently waiting in line in the lobby of the NCIS headquarters to get your visitor badge.
Gibbs was your godfather and the closest thing you had to a father figure. He had invited you to spend the day with him at the office since his team didn’t have an active case.
It was your first time coming to his work. The long line you were waiting in, and had been waiting in for twenty minutes, was making you question your visit.
“Excuse me, miss,” you heard someone say beside you. You turned and saw a man in a gray suit. He was attractive, very attractive. You noticed the shiny NCIS badge hooked on his belt.
You gave him a polite smile. “I’m Anthony Dinozzo. Please call me Tony though,” he said, reaching out to shake your hand. You could feel the butterflies in your stomach already.
“Nice to meet you, Tony. I’m Y/N,” you said, getting lost in his eyes. He noticed the way you bit down on your lip as you stared at him. He was an investigator after all, which meant it was his job to notice body language cues.
That meant he could tell you were just as into him as he was into you.
“That’s a beautiful name. I see you’re stuck in the infamous line for a visitor badge, but today is your lucky day. You see, very beautiful women do not have to wait in this line, come with me.” He said, lifting the queue rope out of your way, so you could walk under it.
“I didn’t know NCIS had this policy,” you said, tilting your head to the side. He smirked at you. “Don’t worry. You are a beautiful woman, and we will make sure you are very well taken care of,” he said, with a twinkle in his eye.
He gestured for you to follow him. He walked straight to the front of the line. “Hey, Brian. I need a visitor pass, man,” Tony said, chatting up the man working at the counter. He quickly was handed the pass, and he turned around with a smile.
He slowly clipped the badge onto your shirt, staring into your eyes as he did it. He walked you over to the elevator, where you both waited for the doors to open.
You weren’t ashamed to admit you were checking him out. He was doing the same to you.
The elevator doors opened slowly. “Ladies first,” he gestured for you to walk inside.
As soon as you did, his phone started ringing. He whipped it out of his pocket and looked at the name. “Shit, this is my boss. I really gotta take this. It was really nice to meet you, Y/N,” he said, smiling at you. The elevator doors closed, and you traveled up to the floor Gibbs had told you to go to.
You noticed Gibbs sitting at his desk and headed in his direction.
He jumped up from his seat when he saw you. “Good morning,” he said, walking up to you and kissing your cheek.
“It’s nice to see you, Gibbs.” You said, smiling at him. He grabbed a spare chair and rolled it over to his desk, so you could sit beside him.
“Y/N, this is Tim McGee,” he introduced you to the man sitting across the room from him. You quickly shook his hand. “It’s nice to meet you. You are Gibbs’s ?” He started to ask.
“Goddaughter. It’s nice to meet you too,” you said, politely.
“Traffic not too bad this morning?” Gibbs asked, taking a seat. You copied his behavior, sitting down on the chair. “I took the subway because traffic was supposed to be terrible.” You told him.
You noticed two cups of coffee on his desk. “You really have to work on that caffeine addiction of yours,” you joked. He chuckled to himself. “One is for you,” he said, handing you the cup.
“Well in that case, I guess I’ll allow it,” you teased. You took a sip and realized it was black coffee. You made a face as the bitter liquid hit your taste buds. “This one is yours,” you said, switching cups with Gibbs.
McGee was shocked. He had never seen Gibbs let someone drink out of his cup and not throw it away after. This was a whole new side to Gibbs.
“So, is there anyway you could find me information on a guy I ran into in the lobby? A cute guy. He worked here.” You asked, doing puppy eyes at Gibbs.
He wrapped his arm around you. “I love you, but I don’t need to know about your love life. That’s too much information for me. Talk to McGee about it, he’s the computer guy.” Gibbs replied.
You giggled to yourself at the disgust on his face when you mentioned a cute guy. Gibbs was very protective over you.
Tony arrived on the floor and stepped out of the elevator. Heading to his desk, he spotted McGee. “McProbie, I need you to look at security footage from the lobby. I was talking to this absolutely gorgeous girl.” Tony explained. You started giggling to yourself as you recognized him.
Tony wasn’t looking at Gibbs, so he hadn’t even noticed you yet. “She shouldn’t be too hard to find,” Gibbs chimed in, causing Tony to look in your direction. Tony froze when saw you sitting next to Gibbs.
“She’s not an ex-wife, right?” Tony joked, trying to ease the tension. He knew Gibbs was protective, and whatever Gibbs’ relationship to you was, Gibbs wouldn’t like Tony hitting on you.
Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Gibbs scowling at Tony. “This is my goddaughter,” Gibbs snapped.
“I’m feeling like I should shut my mouth now,” Tony said, sinking down to sit on his chair. “Good idea,” McGee said, chuckling at the situation.
“Really? Dinozzo is the guy?” Gibbs asked, looking over at you. You shrugged with a smirk on your face. “What? He’s charming,” you said, feeling like a schoolgirl.
Your gaze drifted back over to Tony. He winked at you, causing your cheeks to heat up.
“Dinozzo, go flirt somewhere else.” Gibbs snapped.
Tony was a little too eager. “Really, boss?” He asked, getting excited. Then, he got a glare that told him that Gibbs was telling him to stop flirting.
“Nevermind, I’m shutting up now,” Tony said, focusing back on his computer. The room got deathly silent as the three men continued working.
You noticed how McGee would smile to himself every time that Gibbs glared at Tony. McGee was very entertained by the whole situation. Gibbs, not so much.
Gibbs phone began to ring. He snatched it up off the desk before answering. He said a few words, and then stood up from his seat.
“I’m going down to Abby’s lab. You two? Not happening.” Gibbs said, before walking out of the room.
As soon as Gibbs got in the elevator, Tony walked over to you. “How about we go get some privacy?” He whispered, with a smirk on his face. He grabbed your hands, helping you up from your seat.
“Probie, cover for me,” Tony said, as he placed his hand on the small of your back and guided you. “If Gibbs catches you, you’re dead,” McGee called out.
Tony led you over to behind the stairs. “So, Gibbs’ goddaughter, huh? What’s that like?” He asked you, curiously.
“He’s the only father figure I’ve ever had, so he cares too much sometimes. And being over-protective when it comes to future boyfriends is just part of the deal.” You told him.
“Future boyfriend?” He quipped, smirking at you. You hadn’t completely meant to say it. It kind of just slipped out. You felt your cheeks heat up.
“Well, if you wanna be,” you replied, putting the ball in his court. “Oh, trust me, I wanna be,” he said, leaning in and kissing you. He weaved his fingers through your hair as your lips moved against his.
You ran your fingers over his stomach. You could feel his muscles through his shirt. His lips tasted like vanilla, and you felt like you were addicted to the taste.
You had a fluttery feeling in your stomach as he moved one of his hands to your waist. He pulled away to take a breath. “God, Gibbs would kill me for doing this,” he mumbled.
He leaned in to kiss you again, but you pulled your head back. “If you want to be a future boyfriend, you’re gonna have to stop thinking about my godfather when you’re kissing me.” You told him, running your fingers over the lapels of his jacket.
“Yes, ma'am,” he nodded, leaning back in to kiss you again. You let your lips connect this time. You were glad Tony had picked a more private place for you both to talk.
He moved your hands so they were resting on his sides underneath his jacket. He smirked against your lips. You ran your hands up and down his sides as he held your waist with one hand and cupped your face with the other.
Gibbs cleared his throat. You both jumped apart. Tony quickly smoothed out his shirt and his jacket. “Hiya, boss,” Tony said, nervously.
Gibbs took a step closer to him. “If you hurt her, you will be in a world of hurt, Dinozzo.” Gibbs threatened. He walked back towards his desk.
Tony stepped back closer to you. “So, you have any plans tonight?” He asked you, smoothing out where he had ruffled your hair.
“That depends on if you’re actually going to ask me out.” You smirked up at him. He was surprised by your little sarcastic comebacks and kind of turned on by them too.
“That’s what I’ve been trying to do,” he said, grabbing your waist. His lips lightly grazed against yours.
You moved his hands off of you and took a step backwards. “Still waiting for you to ask,” you quipped.
He smiled at you. “Would you like to go get dinner tonight?” He asked, grabbing one of your hands. From the expression on your face, he knew you were waiting for more.
He wasn’t sure what you were waiting for, but he knew there was more. “And…?” He hesitated, trying to read your mind.
“And come back to your place,” you whispered, finishing his sentence for him.
“And come back to my place?” He repeated what you said, as if trying to fully process it. His eyes were wide, and his shock was obvious.
“And what would we be doing at my place?” He asked, cocking his head to the side. You smirked at him, and he felt his stomach do a flip.
“Use your imagination, Dinozzo,” you whispered in his ear, winking at him. He almost felt weak in his knees. “I can’t say no to that,” he replied.
You grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him in for another kiss. He was quick to kiss you back. You were like a drug to him.
“Dinozzo, back to work!” Gibbs snapped from the other side of the stairs.
He pulled out of the kiss and sighed. “On it, boss,” he replied. You grabbed his hand before he could walk away from you. “Wait a minute,” you whispered.
You wiped your lipstick off his lips quickly. “I’ll see you tonight,” he said, returning to his desk.
You were right behind him, taking your seat back next to Gibbs.
“Now you know why I waited so long for you to visit me at work.” Gibbs said, looking over at you.
“You knew this would happen?” You asked, shocked. This also caught Tony’s attention.
“Yeah, I knew. I know you both like the back of my hand. Whether I like it or not, you both are a great fit.” He admitted.

“Agent Fornell, is NCIS aware that we are assisting them on this case? You’ve told me how Agent Gibbs doesn’t like other agencies to step on his toes.” You asked your boss.
You both were currently in the elevator, riding up to the NCIS squad room. You had never worked with NCIS in all your years at the agency, and you wanted to know what to expect.
“Yes, Agent Gibbs invited us on to this case.” He informed you.
The elevator doors dinged, and you both stepped out. You followed after Fornell, since he knew his way around NCIS headquarters. “Agent Gibbs, pleasure to work with you again.” Your boss said, walking into a room with four desks.
Gibbs stood up and shook Fornell’s hand. “You must be Agent L/N. Tobias told be about you. You’ve been at the FBI for six years now?” He asked. You nodded, politely, and shook his hand. “Nice to meet you, sir.” You said, simply.
Gibbs gestured behind you. “That’s Special Agent McGee, and this is Ziva David.” He explained. They both came over and shook your hand.
“I read your paper about using satellite images during investigations. I thought it was really interesting.” You told McGee. He was flattered. “I’m actually working on that now trying to analyze images around our crime scene. I can show you, if you like. I could use a second opinion.” He offered.
You quickly nodded and agreed. “Here, let me borrow my colleague’s chair. He won’t mind, he has a thing for beautiful women.” McGee said, wheeling the chair from the empty desk over to his own desk.
You took a seat, and he showed you the screen. “I’ve been looking at this radius between the two crimes because we think the suspect lives in the area.” He explained, pointing at the circles on the map.
“We have an unsolved case from a few years ago that I think might be related.” You said, pulling the file out of your bag and showing it to him.
“It matches the other two crimes, and it took place right around here.” You said, gesturing towards the map.
McGee glanced over the file before typing in the third location. “That narrows our search area down by a lot.” He said, glancing over at Gibbs.
“Up on the screen, McGee,” Gibbs said, gesturing at the tv. From behind you, you heard the elevator doors ding.
“Probie, where’s my chair?” You heard a loud voice ask. The voice sounded familiar to you, but you weren’t sure why.
You turned around to see who was talking. “It’s being borrowed by Agent—” McGee started to say, as you turned around and made eye contact with Tony.
“Y/N,” Tony said, almost at a whisper. He was standing completely still, just staring. You were also frozen in your seat.
“You two know each other?” Gibbs asked, curious as to why you both were just staring at each other.
“College,” you both said at the same time.
You and Tony had dated for two years in college. He was your first real love, and you were his. You broke up because you were moving to different cities. You both preferred having a mutual breakup instead of your relationship deteriorating from doing long distance and ending with a messy breakup.
Gibbs and Fornell both snapped to get you both out of your trances.
“McGee, you and Agent L/N go work with Abby on this map. Tony and Ziva start looking into the cold case.” Gibbs delegated.
You stood up from your seat and walked over to Tony. “Hi,” you said, giving him a soft smile. You handed him the file, and he returned the smile. “It’s nice to see you,” he responded, left just as speechless as you were.
“Right this way,” McGee said, showing you to the elevator. You followed after him, looking back over your shoulder and making eye contact with Tony.
You and McGee stepped into the elevator. “So, you know Tony?” McGee asked you. You nodded your head. “Yeah, you could say that. Or at least I used to,” you told him.
“You two haven’t seen each other since college?” McGee asked, curiously. He had never seen Tony as shaken up as he was when he saw you.
“Yeah, I think so,” you said, as though you didn’t specifically remember the last time you saw Tony.
It was when you brought Tony to the airport. He was leaving for DC. You both knew it’d be the last time you saw each other. It was the only time you’d seen Tony cry. You had a Hallmark-movie emotional kiss.
And you hadn’t seen him since.
You and McGee stepped out of the elevator and walked down a hallway. You both walked into Abby’s lab. Then, you noticed Abby.
She was typing on her computer, facing away from you both. “Hi, Abby.” McGee said as you both entered the room.
“McGee, did you hear? Ziva called me. Something about Tony acting weird around some girl. I was thinking secret ex-girlfriend, but that doesn’t really feel like Tony—” Abby started rambling, before McGee interrupted.
“Abby,” McGee said, loudly. He gave you a look of sympathy. Abby turned around, and her eyes went wide.
“Abby, meet Agent L/N from the FBI,” McGee introduced you.
Abby had a terrified look in her eyes. “See, you might think I was talking about you, but I was actually talking about someone else.” She lied, trying to smooth things over.
“Hey, don’t worry about it. I get it,” you assured her. She looked relieved. The three of you discussed the map for a few minutes, and then McGee got a phone call.
“Boss wants me upstairs,” He said, leaving the lab.
“Hey, I’m sorry about earlier.” Abby apologized again. You gave her a polite smile. “You really don’t have to worry about it. Also, I thought you’d want to know that you were right.” You told her.
Her eyebrows furrowed, and you could tell from her expression that she was confused. “Wait, about what?” She asked you.
“Tony,” you said, simply.
She still looked confused for another minute, and then her eyes lit up. “You’re Tony’s ex-girlfriend? You two actually dated?” Abby asked, excitedly.
You could tell how shocked she was. She ran and grabbed two chairs for you both to sit on. You took a seat, giggling at her excitement.
“So, Tony actually had a girlfriend? Like a serious girlfriend?” She asked you. You nodded your head. “Two years serious,” you replied.
Abby was shocked. She’d never heard Tony talk about a girlfriend. There wasn’t even many girls that he took on second dates. He didn’t even try to seriously date anyone after you.
What you both had was special. Tony knew he’d never be able to replicate that, so he didn’t see a point in trying. That is what led to the long string of one night stands.
Abby’s expression shifted when she saw your disappointment. She was excited to learn Tony had a girlfriend, but reminiscing about your relationship just gave you regrets.
“When you said having a secret ex-girlfriend didn’t sound like Tony, what did you mean?” You asked Abby, curiously. She didn’t know what to say.
“Obviously, I didn’t know Tony in college, but now, I’ve haven’t seen him date anyone serious. It’s a lot of first dates that don’t go anywhere. What you both had must have been really special.” She said, giving you a soft smile.
You sighed, thinking back to your relationship. It was special. You both had the perfect fit, until you didn’t.
“I should probably get back upstairs. I wouldn’t say Fornell is the most patient boss.” You said, standing up from your seat. Abby giggled to herself. “Sounds like Gibbs,” she joked.
“What sounds like Gibbs?” You heard Gibbs as he walked into the room.
“I’m gonna head back upstairs.” You said, quickly walking out of the room. You waited for the elevator. When it dinged, you went to step inside.
You bumped straight into Tony, who was trying to get out of the elevator. You both froze. “Hi, again,” you said, softly.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” he said, scooting to the side to let you get in the elevator.
“I was just getting out.” He said, stepping into the hallway. You watched him as the doors started to close, when he quickly hopped inside the elevator.
He quickly flipped the off switch, turning the lights darker and bringing the elevator to a halt.
“Sorry, I just really needed to talk to you.” He said, turning to face you. You smiled at him, knowing exactly how he felt.
“So you’re working with the FBI now?” He asked, not knowing how to start this conversation. You nodded, giving him an awkward smile.
“Have you, y’know, been doing good?” You asked. Even after all these years, you still cared about him. “Yeah, I’m doing better. What about you? You ever get married?” He asked, remembering how you had talked about your perfect wedding.
You let out half of a laugh. “Nope, not married. Not even close,” you said, honestly. He nodded along, and you knew he felt the same way.
“Trouble finding the right guy?” He asked. He knew he sounded jealous, but you were his first love.
“Nope, I had the right guy. Just the wrong time,” you said, taking a step closer to him. He looked down at the floor. “I’m sorry if I ever hurt you. We tried to stop things from ending messily, but I don’t think it mattered. Having to say goodbye to the person you love the most is always messy.” He said, slowly grabbing one of your hands.
He was nervous, waiting for your permission. You gave him a smile and interlaced your fingers with his.
“You never did anything wrong, Tony. You were perfect. I know we both have regrets about everything, at least I do.” You told him, honestly.
He could hear your hurt in your voice. He wished there was a way to go back and undo all the pain you both had been through.
“Trust me, you are not the only one with regrets. I am always wondering what would have happened if I fought harder for us. Maybe we would have survived long distance, or maybe I should’ve just taken the jump and moved to be with you.” He rambled.
He had never told anyone any of this. He felt so relieved to get it off his chest. “I guess we’ll never know.” You said. You were realizing for the first time that you both were living in the same city now.
Tony went to say something, but stopped himself. “Actually, nevermind. That’s stupid,” he said, dropping your hand and backing up from you. He leaned against the elevator railing, worrying he’d just messed everything up.
He went to flip the on switch, but you grabbed his hand, stopping him. “It’s not stupid. What were you going to say?” You asked him.
He took a deep breath, knowing he could blow everything up with what he was about to say.
“I was just going to say that I never stopped loving you.” He confessed, looking into your eyes with a look that made you melt.
You cupped his face and kissed him. He quickly wrapped his arms around your waist, kissing you back. He spun you around, so your back was pressed up against the wall.
Your hands found their way back into his hair, like they had so many times before. It all still felt natural. He pulled you closer to him. He had missed you for years, and now he felt like he couldn’t breath without you.
He ran his tongue along your bottom lip, causing you to smirk. “God, I have missed you so much,” Tony whispered, pulling out of the kiss.
“Are we giving us a second chance?” You asked him. A giant smile spread on his face. “I have dreamed about having a second chance with you for years.” He said, giving you a quick peck on the cheek.
Suddenly, Tony’s phone started ringing.
“Yeah, Abby, what’s up?” He asked. You heard Abby cheering loudly on the other side. Tony flinched, pulling the phone away from his ear.
“You got the girl back! You both are so cute together.” You heard her say, causing Tony’s cheeks to turn pink.
“Wait a minute. Abby are you spying through the security camera?” He asked, turning to face the camera. You heard the phone beep as she hung up.
You giggled to yourself. “Sounds like Abby is a fan.” You joked. He nodded, knowing what you said was an understatement. “She didn’t know it was you but she always knew I was hung up on someone.” He said, pulling you into a hug.
“We should probably get back before Gibbs and Fornell get suspicious.” You mumbled, into his shirt. You both pulled out of the hug, and he flipped the on switch.
You walked back into the squad room. You both were anticipating that Abby would have told the rest of the team already, but no one seemed to react.
“Boss is on his way up, he wants to talk theories.” McGee informed you both. You both nodded.
Tony grabbed your hand, which caught McGee and Ziva’s attention. They gave each other a quick look from across the room. They were both wondering what was happening.
Tony pulled his chair out for you, letting you sit down. Then, he leaned against the side of his desk.
“So?” McGee asked, looking at Tony.
Tony chuckled at his colleagues’ intrigue and curiosity.
“You may be seeing much more of Agent L/N” Tony said, causing both McGee and Ziva to smile. “We’re happy for you both,” Ziva said, smiling.
McGee walked over to you. “You’ll be needing this. I’m going to need to hear all about how Tony was in college.” McGee said, handing you his card with his phone number.
“We should all get drinks tonight. I’m sure you have lots of stories about Tony.” Ziva suggested. Tony knew he was going to be in for a long night.

something i didn’t tell you
pairing: tony dinozzo x reader
summary: you and tony finally confessed how you felt about each other and went on a magical date. things take a turn for the worst at work the next day as your daughter, who tony doesn’t know about, is kidnapped.
word count: 3.1k
warnings: kidnapping, hostage situation
Tumblr media
You sat at your desk, anxiously waiting for Tony to arrive. You and Tony had gone on your first date last night and had a great time.
The whole team had pushed you both together after seeing you two pining over each other for years.
The elevators dinged behind you. You glanced over your shoulder, hoping to see Tony. You sighed seeing that it was McGee walking towards you.
“Don’t get too excited to see me,” McGee joked, noticing your disappointed expression.
“Sorry, McGee. I just— thought you were someone else” you explained. You saw his eyes light up as he figured out what was happening.
“Oh yeah, the big date with Tony was last night. How’d it go?” He asked, enthusiastically. The whole team was very invested in yours and Tony’s relationship. They had seen your relationship grow from the day you and Tony met.
“It was good,” you said, trying to be nonchalant. McGee just chuckled. “Oh just good? You can’t get that smile off of your face.” He said.
Then, the elevator dinged again. You jumped and looked over your shoulder.
It was Ducky.
You turned back to your desk and saw McGee chuckling to himself. “Oh shut up,” you said, glancing over at McGee.
You started working on some paperwork, trying to distract yourself.
“Delivery for Agent L/N,” you heard someone say beside you.
You turned and saw Tony standing next to your desk with two cups of coffee in hand. A smile instantly grew on your face.
“Thank you,” you said, taking the cup out of his hand. He put his backpack down by his desk and walked back over to you.
He stood next to you, leaning on your desk. “Good morning,” he softly whispered to you. He quickly leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to your forehead.
You interlaced your fingers with his. “I had a really great time last night,” you told him, honestly. You saw McGee staring at you both from over his computer screen.
Tony saw how your eyes glanced over at McGee. “Probie, no staring,” he said, without even turning around to look at McGee.
You giggled to yourself. “God, you have a pretty smile,” Tony said, in awe of you. He rubbed his thumb against the back of your hand.
“So, how about Chinese food at my apartment tonight?” He suggested. You nodded your head quickly. “That sounds amazing, but you better get to work before Gibbs gets here or he’ll make you stay late.” You told him.
Tony shrugged. “Boss man may be disappointed in me, but he won’t exactly be shocked. He knows I can’t resist you,” Tony flirted.
“Fine, you can stay here, but I need to start working.” You told him. Tony had no problem watching you work. He found you mesmerizing.
You opened your email and opened the first email that popped up.
You felt your eyes go wide as you saw a picture of your daughter with duct tape over her mouth and her hands tied together. You felt like the air had been sucked out of your lungs.
Your eyes skimmed over the paragraph and realized it was a ransom note. Tony noticed how your hands started shaking. “You alright?” He asked, placing his hand on your shoulder. His voice was full of concern.
You quickly closed the email and jumped up from your seat. “I need to talk to Gibbs,” you said, quickly. He was the only one who knew about your daughter.
McGee, who was still eavesdropping, heard what you said. “He’s up in a meeting with the director right now. Is everything okay?” He asked. You brushed Tony’s hand off of you, and headed towards the stairs.
You noticed Tony following behind you. “Stay here, Tony,” you told him. He had no intention of listening. He was hot on your tail as you ran up the stairs.
“You can talk to me. What’s going on? Is everything okay?” He asked you, to which you didn’t respond.
How were you supposed to tell Tony you had a secret daughter who was being held hostage.
You walked into the director’s secretary’s office. “The director is with Special Agent Gibbs right now. You’ll have to wait to talk to the director.” The secretary informed you.
You didn’t stop walking. “I need to see Gibbs,” you said, before barging into the director’s office.
Both Gibbs and the director looked really shocked to see you. You knew to never interrupt Gibbs, but it was urgent.
“Gibbs, I need to talk to you.” You said, your voice cracking. Tony noticed how your eyes were starting to tear up, and he knew something was really wrong.
Gibbs rushed over to your side, putting his a hand on the small of your back. “Let’s go talk,” he said, simply. Tony continued to follow after you.
“Get back to work, Dinozzo.” Gibbs ordered. He knew how close you and Tony were. So, if you came to him instead of Tony, he knew it was something important.
“But boss, I—” Tony started to say before getting interrupted by Gibbs.
“I said, back to work,” Gibbs said, with a harsher tone. Tony stopped in his tracks, watching as you and Gibbs walked into a conference room before returning to his desk.
“So, what’s going on? Is it about Emily?” Gibbs asked you, knowing he was the only one who knew about her.
You nodded your head. “I got a ransom email. It said if we didn’t turn over some evidence, they would kill her.” You said. The pit in your stomach got deeper.
Gibbs sighed, realizing the gravity of the situation. He placed his hand on your arm, trying to comfort you. “Dinozzo doesn’t know about her, does he?” He asked you, even though he already knew the answer.
“I was worried he’d get scared off if he knew. Now, I feel so stupid for worrying about that.” You mumbled, looking at the ground.
“Hey, look at me. It’s not stupid, but we’re gonna need all the help we can get on this one. That includes Dinozzo.” He told you. You knew you needed to tell Tony, you just didn’t know how.
You both left the conference room. Tony’s eyes were on you the whole time as you walked towards the squad room.
You walked over to the side of Tony’s desk. His eyes were still filled with concern, especially seeing the tears building up in your eyes. You reached out and grabbed his hand.
“Can we go talk?” You asked him, softly. He quickly nodded and followed you over to behind the stairs.
You took a deep breath, trying to put the words together. He gave your hands a squeeze and pressed a kiss to your temple. “Take your time,” he told you, softly.
You shook your head. “I don’t have any time to drag this out. Tony, I really really like you. I have for a while, which I’m sure you know. But, I really didn’t want to mess this up or scare you away, so I kept something from you.” You said, taking another deep breath.
Tony was patient. He could tell how hard this was for you.
“I have a daughter. She’s five years old, and her name is Emily. I wish I could’ve told you when I was ready, but I got a ransom email this morning saying they had taken her.” You explained, as tears dripped down your cheeks.
Tony wiped away your tears and pulled you into a hug. “I want you to know you could never scare me away. I am crazy about you. You having a daughter doesn’t change that one bit. And we are going to find her, okay?” He told you, honestly.
You nodded your head, giving him a weak smile. He leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to your lips.
He rested his hand on the small of your back as you both walked back to your desks.
You nodded at Gibbs, letting him start his presentation. The whole team was gathered in the squad room, even Abby, Ducky, and Palmer.
Gibbs stood up from his desk, “Eyes up, everyone. We have a kidnapped child and a ransom note demanding we hand over evidence from a case. I need everyone’s complete focus on this case.” He explained.
“Is it the child of a marine?” Ziva asked, knowing NCIS usually didn’t work on kidnapping cases unless they involved a marine.
“The child’s name is Emily L/N.” Gibbs said. Everyone’s gaze shifted over to you.
“Do you mean that— wait…you have a daughter?” Abby asked you. You nodded your head.
“I didn’t tell anyone but Gibbs. I thought it would help keep her safe, but clearly that isn’t true.” You explained, sitting down at your desk.
“Hey, this isn’t your fault.” McGee chimed in, trying to help.
“I know you’re probably right, McGee, but it really doesn’t feel like it right now.” You said, starting to dig into the case.
“Y/N, you need to be interviewed. We need to know the last time you saw Emily, what she was wearing, everything. Dinozzo, you can do the interview.” Gibbs said.
You went to protest, but you knew there was no chance of you convincing Gibbs otherwise.
You followed Tony into a conference room, where you both sat down.
“I know you want to be out there looking for her, but this is important.” Tony said, trying to reason with you.
You ran your fingers through your hair and nodded. You gave Tony all the details of Emily’s daycare, what she was wearing, who had permission to pick her up, and a bunch of other information.
“You did good. This is gonna help.” Tony said, emailing the information for McGee to update the BOLO.
“This is all my fault, Tony.” You said, tears streaming down your cheeks. He slid his chair over to you and took your hands in his. “None of this is your fault.” He tried to convince you.
“They targeted Emily because I work for NCIS. How is that not my fault?” You asked him. Tony had been where you are, so he completely understood, but he didn’t have the perfect response to make you feel better.
“You’re doing everything in your power to get her back. You are fighting to protect her. In my opinion, that makes you a pretty badass mom. And I know Emily thinks the same thing.” He told you.
The door to the conference room slammed open. “We’ve got an address.” It was McGee.
All three of you raced towards the parking garage. “Ziva’s driving,” you said, tossing her the keys. You knew she’d get you there fastest.
You all raced to the address McGee had found. The house belonged to a man who was on your suspect list for another case. He wanted the evidence turned over so he couldn’t be arrested.
“You, stay out back, in case he runs. I don’t want you in this house.” Gibbs ordered you. You nodded, accepting the command. “Go get her,” you told Tony. He nodded, and you knew he would.
You stayed out back as they broke into the house. Tony and McGee checked the front of the house. They cleared the bedroom and then found a closet door behind a bookcase.
McGee stood ready with his gun as Tony moved the bookcase. They opened the door and saw Emily crouched down in the corner, with tears streaming down her face.
In the other part of the house, Gibbs and Ziva had arrested the kidnapper.
Tony quickly put his gun away. “Hi, Emily. You’re safe now. My name is Tony, and this is Tim. We’re friends of your mom. We’re gonna bring you to her. She’s right outside.” Tony said holding his arms out to the little girl.
She walked towards him and let him pick her up. Tony rushed out of the house towards you. He walked out the back door, and you ran up to him.
“She’s okay,” he said, handing her to you. You quickly took her into your arms. “Hi, sweetie. Are you okay? Mommy missed you so much.” You mumbled into your daughters hair, peppering her face with kisses.
“Thank you,” you mouthed to Tony. He nodded his head and gave you a smile.
He walked over to McGee to give you some privacy. “So, you didn’t know?” McGee asked him. Tony shook his head. “I don’t think it freaks me out as much as I thought it would.” Tony admitted.
Before you, commitment was Tony’s worst nightmare. He never thought he would be dating someone with a kid.
“I knew there was something different about her. You both just seem right for each other” McGee said, honestly.
It gave Tony a lot of confidence that he wasn’t the only one who felt how special your bond was.
You made eye contact with Tony and waved him over to you. “Emily, I want you to meet my friend Tony. Is it okay if Tony comes over sometimes and hangs out with us?” You asked.
She nodded her head. “Can he watch Little Mermaid with us?” Emily asked, referencing her favorite Disney movie. You nodded your head, smiling at her.
“You know want to know something fun about Tony?” You asked her. She eagerly nodded her head.
“Tony loves watching movies.” You told her. Her face lit up in excitement.
“You’ll watch princess movies?” She asked, looking at Tony. He nodded his head. “Of course, we’ll watch all the princess movies you want.” He said, with a big smile on his face.
Then, Gibbs walked over to you both. “We’re gonna head back now. Ducky’s waiting to give this little cutie a check-up.” Gibbs said, ticking Emily.
“Hi, Uncle Gibbs” she said, in between giggles. After finding out about Emily, Gibbs had made sure to come over for birthday parties and always brought her presents.
Keeping his hand on the small of your back, Tony led you towards one of the cars. He pulled the car keys out of his pocket, and you remembered you still had the keys to the other car.
“I gotta bring these keys to McGee,” you said, grabbing them out of your pocket.
“I can hang out with Emily,” Tony volunteered, holding his hands out for her. Emily seemed eager and reached out for Tony.
You walked over to where McGee and Ziva were standing, tossing the keys to McGee. “It’s crazy, isn’t it?” McGee asked you. You cocked your head to the side. “What is?” You asked, confused.
“Seeing Tony with a kid,” McGee said, looking over at Tony who was letting Emily play with the siren. “He’s a natural,” you said, in awe.
“We’ll let you get back over there. See you back in the office,” McGee said.
You walked over to Tony’s open car door. Emily was sitting in his lap holding his NCIS badge and examining it. “It’s really shiny,” she said, running her fingers over the words.
“When we get back to where me and your mom work, I can get you your own badge, if you want.” Tony suggested, referencing the toy badges you had to give to kids. Emily eagerly nodded her head.
“C’mon, kiddo. Let’s get you buckled.” You said, taking her from Tony’s arms. You strapped her in to her booster chair in the backseat before getting in the passenger side.
It only took a few minutes for her to fall asleep in her chair. You felt the tears start streaming down your face. You didn’t want to cry in front of Emily, but you were so relieved she was okay.
Tony noticed immediately. “Hey, it’s okay. We caught the guy, and she’s safe.” Tony said, placing his hand over on your thigh.
“How are you still so calm after everything I’ve thrown at you today? We go on one date and then you have to find out that I have a daughter. I’m sorry that I never told you about her. We’ve been friends for a few years now, and you’ve always been so honest with me.” You apologized, really feeling all the emotions of the day.
“You don’t have to apologize. You were protecting your family. I would never fault you for that.” He said, interlacing his fingers with yours.
When you got back to the office, Tony had to take a phone call, so you brought Emily over to your desk where Ducky was waiting for you.
“Emily, this is my friend, Ducky.” You said, introducing them. Emily started giggling, pretty amused by his nickname.
Ducky gave her a few bandaids and said that except for a few scratches, she was fine.
“Oh, but you do have something behind your ear.” Ducky said, reaching behind her ear and pulling a lollipop out of his sleeve. Emily’s jaw dropped, wondering if she had just seen real magic.
“I got another present for you, as promised.” Tony said, appearing behind Ducky and handing Emily a little plastic NCIS badge. “Thank you,” she said, cheerily.
“C’mon, Emily. I’m going to introduce you to everybody.” You said, standing up and walking over to where everyone was gathered around McGee’s desk.
“These are all your aunts and uncles. You know Uncle Gibbs, and you met Ducky and Tony already. This is your Uncle McGee and Aunt Ziva.” You said, as she waved at all of them.
The elevator doors dinged, and Abby came running into the room. “Is she here?” She asked, excitedly. Gibbs pointed towards you, and Abby ran over.
“And this is your Aunt Abby. She’s been very excited to meet you. Go on, give her a hug.” You said, handing her to Abby. Abby was beaming.
When Abby found out there was a mini NCIS agent, she was so excited to meet her.
“I like your braids.” Emily complimented. “Thank you, Emily. I could braid your hair sometime if you want.” Abby responded, smiling. The two of them got along great.
“Hold on, Emily. I gotta tell your mom a secret really quick.” Abby said, cupping her hand over Emily’s ears quickly.
“Can I please babysit whenever you two are on dates and y’know?” Abby whispered to you and Tony. Laughs slipped out of both yours and Tony’s mouths.
“Sure, Abby,” you agreed, still giggling. Emily had also closed her eyes when she heard the word secret, so Tony leaned over and pecked you on the cheek.
After Tony came over that night to hang out with you both, all your fears about scaring Tony away were gone.

You sent a glare in Tony’s direction after getting hit in the face with a piece of candy. “Dinozzo!” You said, exasperatedly, trying to figure out why he had just thrown an M&M at your face.
“I called your name like five times. You didn’t hear me.” He explained. You ran your hand through your hair. “That’s cause I’m working. Gibbs is down in interrogation, and he needs something he can use. I don’t want to be the one to tell him I have nothing— whatever. What do you need?” You asked him.
“I want to show you a trick.” He said, excitedly. You and Tony were really good friends, which meant you both had no trouble having fun around each other. Gibbs didn’t always love this.
Tony tossed a piece of candy up in the air and attempted unsuccessfully to catch it in his mouth. You quickly put your hand over your mouth, suppressing a giggle. “Don’t you even,” Tony warned, expecting the sarcastic comment that was on the tip of your tongue.
“I wasn’t gonna say anything. I just figured a federal agent would have better hand-eye coordination.” You said, smirking at him. He knew he had just been challenged. “Alright, let’s see you do it.” He said, inviting you over to his desk.
You stood up from your chair and walked over to the side of Tony’s desk. He tossed a piece of candy your way, which you caught in your mouth on the first try. The smile on Tony’s face faded. “You were clearly assisted by my excellent aim,” he said, defensively.
You giggled at his sad expression. “So, what’s my prize for beating you?” You asked, curiously. A smirk spread across Tony’s face. “That depends on what you want.” He quipped.
A flirty comment out of Tony wasn’t anything knew to you. All of your coworkers knew you both were into each other, but hadn’t admitted it yet.
You thought about it, and his comment gave you an idea about the suspect down in interrogation.
“I need to call Gibbs,” you said, grabbing the phone off his desk.
“I’m very happy for you, but I don’t think Gibbs is going to care that you caught an M&M.” He said, not catching on yet. You flicked his arm.
“Ow,” he exclaimed, scooting his chair back away from you.
“Your phone’s not working,” you said, slamming it down. You raced over to your desk, grabbing your own phone. You heard the same static sound over your phone. “The phones must be down.” You said, confused since the phones were never down.
Over your shoulder, Tony saw a man step out of the elevator with a large gun. His first instinct should have been to grab his own gun and order the man to surrender. That was his job after all.
But not with you standing in the middle.
He dived over to where you were standing, pulling you down to the ground with him. As you both fell to the floor, you heard a bunch of rapid gunshots go into the ceiling.
You felt a burning sensation on your upper arm. You swore under your breath, wincing in pain.
Tony felt his heart sink as he noticed the blood seeping through your shirt. “Hang on, it’ll be okay. One of the ricochets must have hit you. Just looks like a graze though,” he said, tugging off the button-up shirt he was wearing.
He was left in a white t-shirt, tying his other shirt tightly around your arm.
“I need to see Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.” The intruder announced to the squad room. There wasn’t very many agents in the office today, but they were all now laying on the ground as instructed.
“Keep pressure on this,” Tony said, starting to stand up. You gripped onto his arm. He saw the fear in your eyes. Tony had never seen you scared before.
You weren’t scared for yourself. You were scared Tony would play hero and get himself hurt.
“Don’t,” you begged him. He could sense your desperation. “I won’t go anywhere,” he gave in. He wrapped his arm around your shoulders, keeping you close to him.
You heard heavy footsteps behind you. The intruder was standing right in front of your desk, staring at you both sitting behind it.
“You, up!” He ordered, staring at Tony. Tony slowly stood, holding his hands up. “I’m Gibbs. What do you need?” He asked, nonchalantly.
“You want to try again, agent? Because I know you’re not Gibbs.” He threatened. Tony shrugged his shoulders. “I’m Special Agent Gibbs. Don’t know what to tell you,” he lied.
You cursed Tony out in your head. He was amazing at his job, but always knew how to make you worry about him.
“How about you tell me the truth?” The intruder said, shifting his gun to point it at you. Tony jumped in front of the intruder, keeping you safe. “Hey hey hey, I’m Special Agent Anthony Dinozzo. Don’t hurt her” the words rushed out of his mouth.
The intruder smirked, realizing he had found Tony’s weak spot.
There was no bluffing when it came to you. Tony wouldn’t do anything that risked your safety.
“That’s better, Romeo. Now bring me to Gibbs.” The intruder demanded. Tony hesitated, looking over his shoulder at you. “She’s hurt. Let me call our doctor up here. Then, I’ll do whatever you want,” Tony negotiated.
The intruder considered his proposition for a minute, then turned to you. “You, come here.” He demanded. Following your training, you held your hands in the air and slowly walked towards him.
He pointed his gun at Tony and used his other hand to pat you down. You could see Tony tense up. “So, what do you want with Gibbs?” You asked, trying to get inside his head.
“My name is Jeremiah Parker. Agent Gibbs arrested my brother today, and I’m here to get him back.” The intruder explained, referencing the suspect that was down in interrogation with Gibbs right now.
Jeremiah ran his hand down your legs, grabbing your gun and throwing it to the side. His hand went back up to your waist.
You felt yourself flinch as his hand lingered on your ass. Tony noticed immediately. “Hey, get your hands off of her.” Tony snapped.
Jeremiah simply chuckled. “Calm down, Agent Dinozzo. I’m only looking for these.” He said, grabbing your handcuffs off your belt.
“Cuff his hands, sweetheart.” He told you. Tony gave you a soft smile, letting you know it was okay. You stepped towards Tony, grabbing both his hands and handcuffing them in front of him.
He grabbed one your hands and gave it a reassuring squeeze. “You’re shaking. It’ll be okay, I promise,” he assured you.
Then, Jeremiah grabbed your shoulders forcefully and pulled you away from Tony. He pressed the tip of his gun against your side.
“Call your doctor, and put it on speaker.” He instructed Tony, who nodded his head and obliged.
The phone rang once or twice and then you heard Jimmy’s voice come through the speaker. “Hello, this is Palmer,” he said, nonchalantly.
“Hey, Jimmy. I need to speak with Dr. Mallard.” Tony said, silently praying Palmer would know he only ever referred to him as Ducky. Jimmy mumbled “one second,” and then there was some silence.
“Hello, Tony?” Ducky asked. “Hi, Dr. Mallard. I need you to bring your first aid kit up to the squad room please.” Tony said, calmly. Ducky was silent for a minute, trying to figure out what was wrong. “Tony, what’s going on?” Ducky asked, already knowing something was off.
“Just hurry,” Tony said, almost snapping. He was almost pleading with Ducky. If Jeremiah knew anything was going on, he’d probably kill you both.
“Tony is everything ok—” Ducky started to ask before Jeremiah quickly hung up the phone.
You felt your body tense as he slammed the phone down. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. If your doctor does as he’s told, you’ll be just fine.” Jeremiah assured you, running his thumb over you cheek.
“I only bring you to Gibbs if you leave her alone.” Tony threatened. Jeremiah didn’t respond, he just chuckled to himself. “You’re the one in handcuffs. I don’t think you’re in a place to make demands.” Jeremiah told him.
The elevator door dinged. You all watched Ducky cautiously step out of the elevator, first aid kit in hand.
Jeremiah pressed his gun against your head. “Over here, doctor,” Jeremiah announced.
Ducky knew something was wrong just from the phone call. He wasn’t shocked that there was an intruder, but seeing a gun pointed at your head made him realize how serious the situation was.
“Ducky, Y/N’s arm got grazed. I need you to stay here and help her. Me and our friend have to go talk to Gibbs.” Tony told him.
Jeremiah shoved you towards Ducky, who held his hands out and caught you from falling over. Tony also lunged to try to catch you, even though his hands were handcuffed together.
Ducky wrapped his arm around your shoulder, in a fatherly manner. “Well Gibbs is down in interrogation now.” He said, looking towards Tony. You knew from Ducky’s expression that Gibbs knew what was going on.
You didn’t know why you were so nervous. You and Tony had worked in the field together for years, but he had never seen you this nervous. You didn’t know why it felt different this time.
You both were in dangerous situations all the time, but this time you were terrified that Tony would get hurt. He had the same worries for you.
Tony noticed how you were nervously biting your lip.
“Hey, it’ll be alright. You know me,” Tony said, softly. He was trying to reassure you, but it wasn’t working.
If you hadn’t seen the small beads of sweat on his forehead, you probably would’ve believed him.
But he was right. You did know him.
You knew he used humor instead of admitting he was scared.
You both had been hiding behind the “just friends” label for years, but Tony had always cared for you more he had ever cared for just a friend. As he saw the look on your face and the tear rolling down your cheek, he had all the confirmation he needed that you felt the same way about him.
He sighed at the irony of the situation. Tony was very aware that this could be the last time he saw you.
You also were terrified. As soon as Tony was out of your sight, there was no saying what would happen to him.
“Ducky, I need you to take care of her” Tony said with the most serious tone you’ve ever heard him use.
Jeremiah kicked Tony in the back of the leg, pushing him forward. “Let’s go,” he demanded.
As soon as Jeremiah turned away from you, you decided to copy one of Tony’s favorite movies, the A-Team, which he had forced you to watch with him.
You had the key to your handcuffs concealed in your hand. You quickly slipped the key into your mouth. “Tony wait,” you called out. Tony stopped in his tracks as you walked over to him.
You cupped his face and kissed him. Tony was shocked, but wasted no time kissing you back. He felt your tongue slip the key into his mouth. He smirked into the kiss, knowing that you remembered watching that movie together.
You reluctantly pulled out of the kiss. “Be safe,” you whispered. He nodded his head, “I promise.”
You felt Ducky’s hands on your arm, pulling you back towards him. You both watched as the two of them walked away towards the elevator.
“He’ll be alright, my dear,” Ducky reassured you. You turned around, leaning your head on Ducky’s shoulder as a few tears slipped onto your cheeks. “I really want to believe you, Duck.” You whispered.
“Anthony will do whatever it takes to come back to you because it’s you.” He told you.
As the elevator doors closed, Tony looked over his shoulder at Jeremiah. “If you put another scratch on her body, I swear to god, I will kill you myself.” Tony threatened.
“Is Agent Dinozzo in love?” Jeremiah questioned. Tony remained silent. He had barely been able to admit those feelings to himself.
“I am a sucker for love. It’s so sad that you’ll never see her again.” Jeremiah quipped.
Then, the elevator screeched to a halt. Tony knew that somewhere Gibbs was responsible.
Meanwhile, Ducky was dragging you up to MTAC. You had told all the other agents in the squad room to go up there to stay safe, but you weren’t planning on staying. You needed to go help Tony.
Ducky didn’t like that idea.
“Now, just come on, my dear. I need to look at your arm. Anthony has this under control. You could walk into an ambush.” Ducky tried to convince you, blocking the door so you couldn’t leave.
“Ducky. I think I love him, and I would regret staying here for the rest of my life if he gets hurt.” You told him, honestly.
Ducky nodded, sympathizing with your situation. “Then, let me fix this first.” He said, fixing the way Tony’s shirt was tied around your arm.
“There you go, but be safe.” He told you, letting you leave. You sprinted down the stairs and grabbed your gun off your desk. You opted to take the stairs down to interrogation instead of the elevator.
Tony and Jeremiah’s elevator finally continued descending down to the interrogation floor.
Jeremiah stuck his gun to Tony’s head, anticipating agents when the elevator doors opened.
The doors opened and revealed Gibbs standing with his gun pointed at Jeremiah. “Put your gun down, Agent Gibbs, or another one of your agents gets hurt.” Jeremiah demanded.
Ducky had told Gibbs about the weird phone call with Tony, but he didn’t know about you getting hurt.
“What did you do?” Gibbs asked, cautiously.
“Y/N got grazed by a bullet. She’s with Ducky now. She’s probably gonna need some stitches.” Tony informed him.
Tony promptly got elbowed by Jeremiah. “Shut your mouth, Romeo. Or your girlfriend is going to get more than a graze.” Jeremiah snapped.
Tony didn’t stop.
“Boss, drop your gun. You won’t need it to take him out.” Tony told Gibbs. Gibbs got the message and placed his gun on the ground.
Jeremiah had had enough. He threw a quick punch at Tony’s face, successfully hitting him right in the nose.
Tony’s plan worked.
He flinched, grabbing his nose with both his hands. He sneakily grabbed the key out of his mouth, but didn’t unlock the handcuffs yet.
Jeremiah walked Gibbs and Tony down the hallway, towards the interrogation room. Tony unlocked the handcuffs when Gibbs gave him the signal.
He popped his hands out and turned around, quickly smacking the gun out of Jeremiah’s hands. Then, McGee jumped out from around the corner with his gun pointed at Jeremiah.
Gibbs grabbed Jeremiah and quickly handcuffed him.
“Go get her,” Gibbs told Tony, but he had already started running towards the stairs. McGee followed after Tony, not quite keeping up. This was the fastest Tony had ever ran. His mind was racing with thoughts of you.
Tony got to the squad room and found your desk empty. You and Ducky were nowhere to be seen. Tony called your name a few times, desperately looking around for you.
McGee arrived shortly after Tony. “She could’ve brought everyone up to MTAC for safety.” McGee suggested. Tony sprinted up the stairs, slamming the door open as he ran inside.
He scanned the faces of all the agents standing in the room, not seeing you. Agents started to funnel out of the room, knowing it was safe now.
“Oh, come on, come on, where are you?” His mind was racing with possibilities.
Tony found Ducky. “Ducky. Where is she?” He asked, urgently.
“She went off to find you, Anthony.” Ducky informed him.
“Tony, Tony, down here,” Tony heard McGee screaming from outside.
Tony ran outside of MTAC and saw you standing down next to McGee in the squad room.
Once his eyes landed on you, he sprinted down the stairs, running as fast as his legs would take him.
He pulled you right into his arms, holding onto you tightly. “Are you okay? Please tell me you’re okay” you whispered into his shirt. “I’m fine. Gibbs has him. It’s all okay” he ran his hand through your hair, comforting you.
“What about your arm?” Tony jumped back, thinking he was hurting you. “I’m fine, Tony. Ducky’s gonna stitch it up. It hurts like a bitch, but I’m fine.” You assured him.
You looked at his face, wanting to double check that he was actually okay. “Your nose looks all red and swollen.” You said, noticing his injury.
“I had to get him to throw a punch at me, so I could get the key out of my mouth. I promise, it’s nothing. It takes more than that to hurt Anthony Dinozzo.” He told you. He pulled you back into his arms.
“I know this is part of the job, but I was so fucking worried about you.” You told him, squeezing onto him tightly.
He grabbed your chin and pulled your face up to connect your lips. He had one hand pressed against your cheek, and the other was on the back of your head. You rested your hands on his sides.
You weren’t taking any part of this moment for granted. You memorized the way his shirt felt under your fingers and spearmint taste on his lips.
“Oh, would you look at that? All it took to get you two together was a hostage situation.” Ducky said. You both pulled away and saw Ducky staring with Gibbs and McGee standing behind him.
“I can’t believe you used the key trick from A-Team. You are so amazing.” Tony said, pressing a bunch of kisses to your cheek. Tony couldn’t contain himself. After all, the girl he was crazy about used his favorite move from his favorite movie to save his life.
“I hate to steal her from you, Anthony, but she really needs those stitches.” Ducky interrupted.
“Don’t worry. I’ll hold your hand the whole time.” Tony said, cheesily interlacing your fingers with his and walking over to your desk where Ducky had his first aid kit opened.

red carpet premieres
pairing: kit connor x costar!reader
summary: after not seeing kit for a few months, you both are reunited at a red carpet event for heartstopper
word count: 2.1k
Tumblr media
As you sat in the busy airport, your eyes were drawn to all of the chaos around you: parents struggling to calm their kids down, people in business suits rushing to make their flight.
You were at the biggest airport in New York, so you shouldn’t have been shocked. You were currently waiting to board your flight to Los Angeles for the red carpet premier of the newest season of Heartstopper.
“Hello hello hello,” you heard a chipper voice say beside you. You looked over and saw Will with his suitcase and an iced coffee in hand.
“There you are, I was worried you were going to be late.” You teased him. He jokingly rolled his eyes as he took a seat next to you. “And how long have you been here?” He asked you.
Your silence spoke volumes as to your answer. Will started to chuckle. “Fine, I’ve been here for two hours, but what if security had a really long line or if something went wrong?” You said, justifying your dedication to being early.
“See, you are and forever will be the mom friend of our group.” Will reminded you. You couldn’t stop the giggles that escaped your lips. All of the cast had decided that you and Kit were the mom and dad of the group.
This was inspired by two things. First, you both were the most responsible people in the cast. Second, you both were harboring some secret crushes on each other that everyone knew about.
“Speaking of, how is your fellow co-parent?” Will asked you. Your shrugged your shoulders. “I haven’t seen him in a while.” You told him, sadly. This was one of the reasons you were so excited to see him at the premiere tonight.
“As though you both don’t FaceTime everyday. We all know you both couldn’t stand to go that long without talking to each other.” Will continued to tease. You could tell that your cheeks were heating up. You were also struggling to keep the smirk off of your face because you knew every word he was saying was true.
You hid your face in your hands trying to hide the fact that you couldn’t keep a straight face.
“Yeah, you totally look like you’re not in love with him.” Will said, sarcastically.
You groaned with frustration. “If it’s so obvious, what am I supposed to do when Kit finds out? He’ll never speak to me again.” You told Will. He reached a hand out and placed it on your shoulder to comfort you.
“Hey hey, Kit would never do that. Plus, I know we tease you both about it all the time, but I really think Kit has feelings for you. He’s always smiling when you’re around, and when you’re not around, all he does is talk about you.” Will told you. He really wanted the best for you and Kit. You were best friends, and he knew how happy you and Kit would be together.
“I may have lied when I said I hadn’t seen Kit since the last time the cast was together.” You told him, honestly.
About two months ago, you and the rest of the cast had to film some promotional content for the show. After that, you had been in New York working on some projects, while Kit had been in Boston. You both had really missed each other and knew you had to spend some time together.
“What is this I’m hearing about? A little secret date rendezvous?” Will asked, shocked. You both hadn’t mentioned it originally because you were worried there’d be more teasing about you both being in love with each other. But, if Will really thought Kit liked you, you wanted him to know.
“It wasn’t a date or anything romantic. We both happened to have a day off at the same time, so Kit bought a train ticket to New York, and we spent the whole day together.” You told Will. A smile grew on his face, seeing how happy you were talking about Kit.
“Wait was that the day you were late to breakfast with me and you were all smiley when I asked why you were late?” Will asked you, started to peace it together.
You shrugged with a giant smirk on your face. “I was happy I got to spend time with my best friend, but it wasn’t a date.” You told him.
You both continued to talk about the reasons Kit did or didn’t possibly like you throughout the flight. If you were going to make a move on Kit, you wanted to be pretty confident he liked you back.
You both landed at the airport and got to your hotel room before the premiere. After you both got ready, you headed over to the premiere in your limo.
When you arrived, you noticed only Joe and Bash on the red carpet, so you knew you were among the first to arrive. Will gestured for you to go first, and you posed on the carpet for pictures. Things continued as normal.
You smiled for all the cameras and posed just like you had done a million times.
You heard commotion among the photographers. Then, you realized they were calling Kit's name. You looked to your right and saw Kit standing on the red carpet. He glanced your direction, and your face lit up. He instantly smiled at you and waved.
Without wasting a second, he jogged over to where you were standing. “Hi,” you said, at the pitch of almost a squeal.
Kit wrapped his arms around you, picking you up off your feet and spinning you around. You could see the speedy flashes of the cameras as they all took pictures of your sweet reunion.
“I’ve missed you,” Kit whispered in your ear as he set you back on your feet. “I’ve missed you too,” you replied, resting your hands on his arms.
He pulled you into another hug, and the cameras began furiously flashing again. Everyone would be talking about the pictures tomorrow and how you happy you both looked.
“I’ve been looking forward to seeing you tonight,” he whispered in your ear, then you both started posing together for pictures. His arm effortlessly slid around your waist, and it felt more natural than you’d like to admit.
You heard an interviewer calling your name, so you pulled yourself away from Kit. She quickly introduced herself as Sarah and began asking you questions.
“While we know you can’t tell us much about what to expect in season two, but do you have any favorite moments from filming season two?” She asked. You nodded along to her question.
“Oooo favorite moment? There was one day that we had to do a night shoot, so we were all a little exhausted. Eventually, Joe, Kit, Yaz, Will, and I got a little delirious and giggly. The group of us just couldn’t keep it together. We just kept cracking up and once one of us was giggling, we all just couldn’t stop.” You told her, smiling as you recalled the memory.
You continued answering her questions, slightly going into autopilot with the typical questions.
You felt a slight chill go down your spine. The cool evening air felt soft against your skin, but you couldn’t help but shiver a little. You subconsciously crossed your arms and continued answering questions.
You felt a warm hand press against the small of your back. You turned around and saw Kit standing there. He gave you a soft smile. “I don’t mean interrupt. I just wanted to give you this.” Kit said, placing his jacket over your shoulders. Your lips curved up into a smile at his sweet gesture.
Then, Kit walked away to go back to the interview he was doing. You slipped your arms into Kit’s jacket, warming up instantly.
You continued rotating between interviews and posing for photographers.
Then, they called all the cast members for a big group photo. You huddled together, and Kit magically showed up at your side.
“Hi,” you said, cheerily smiling at him. He returned your smile. His arm slipped around your waist. Your big group all smiled for the photo.
Then, confetti went off above your heads, shocking you all. Kit was in awe as you watched you smiling and watching the confetti fall.
“What?” You asked when you finally noticed Kit staring at you. He just shook his head and smiled at you. He brushed some hair behind your ear, then grabbed a piece of confetti that was stuck in your hair.
He placed the confetti in his palm and playfully blew it towards you. You giggled softly to yourself. After standing there for a while, the cast starting to walk inside to the party celebrating the premiere.
Kit placed his two hands on your shoulders, so he wouldn’t lose you in the crowd. Once you both made it inside, you spotted Will, Yaz, and Joe. You made a beeline for them, and Kit followed.
“Mom and dad are back together.” Joe cheered when he spotted you both walking towards them. Yaz and Will joined his cheers and smiled at you.
“Alright, enough enough,” Kit said, trying to calm them down.
“We just love seeing you together. You’re best friends.” Will added. When Kit looked away, Will winked at you. You frowned at him, signaling him to stop.
“I’m going to go get a water. I’ll be right back.” Yaz said, and Kit followed after her. “Will told me you were going to try to make a move on Kit tonight.” Joe said, wiggling his eyebrows at you.
You playfully hit Will’s arm. “That was supposed to be a secret.” You said, giggling. “Well, I’m excited for you both. You better tell me how it goes.” Joe told you.
You glanced over Will’s shoulder and saw Kit standing at the bar with Yaz. He met your gaze and smiled at you from across the room.
You continued talking to Will and Joe, then Yaz rejoined your circle. You turned, expecting to see Kit following her, but you didn’t.
Then, you saw Kit talking to a girl, who was leaning in really close to him. You instantly felt a pit of jealousy in your stomach. Will noticed where you were looking. “Hey,” he said, softly. He reached out to comfort you, but you pushed his hand away.
You started walking towards Kit, knowing you had to tell him how you felt before it was too late. The girl excused herself from him right before you got to him.
“Hey, there you are,” Kit said, smiling at you. He noticed the shift in your demeanor instantly. Normally, you were all smiles when he was around.
“So, I don’t know who that girl was, but I just really need to tell you something. I’ve been meaning to tell you for a while, but I’ve been terrified. You’re my best friend, and you mean the absolute world to me. You make me so happy, and in more than a friend way. The last thing I want to do is destroy our friendship, but I can’t keep this in anymore, so I’m sorry if I just ruined everything.” You confessed.
Kit just stared at you. You could almost see his brain trying to piece together what you had told him. Then, he cupped your face and kissed you.
It took a second for your shock to wear off, but then you kissed him back. Kit’s arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you close to him. His lips moved smoothly against yours.
Both of you felt like you were on top of the world. You had been waiting a very long time for this to happen.
You both pulled out of the kiss and had giddy smiles on your face. “Wow, I can’t believe we just did that.” He said, smiling down at you.
“In a good way or a bad way?” You asked him, double-checking.
He chuckled at your uncertainty. “Definitely a good way,” he said, pulling you back in for another kiss. Over your shoulder, you heard cheering from your friends. “Mom and dad,” Will cheered.
“I guess we have a few fans.” You said, as you both pulled away. He nodded his head. “They did kind of predict the two of us having feelings for each other.” He told you, grinning.
“And here they come,” you said, seeing all your friends walking towards you. Kit grabbed your hand, interlacing your fingers and giving your hand a squeeze. “You guys finally did it.” Will cheered, pulling you both into a hug.
“Mom and dad are finally mom and dad. I love you guys,” Joe added.
When you had imagined your first kiss with Kit, all the versions you could think of involved a quiet date with just the two of you. You definitely didn’t expect it to be at a premiere, surrounded by all your friends. But now? You wouldn’t have it any other way.

off limits - part three
pairing: brothersbestfriend!henry cavill x reader
summary: henry was best friends with your brother, theo, which meant despite the clear chemistry between you two, you both had chosen to not date.
word count: 3.7k
warnings: drinking, swearing, some flirting, references to sexual situations
Tumblr media
Not talking to Henry for the rest of your vacation was an impossible task. Every time something cool or funny happened, you wanted to text him about it.
Also, your imagination wasn’t helping. Whenever you saw couples on vacation together, you couldn’t help but think about what it would be like to go on a romantic getaway with Henry…
You would go for couples massages and end up hanging out by the poolside bar. After a nice night out at dinner, you’d head back to your room to relax.
You’d both say you were going to watch a movie, but end up zoning the movie out and talking to each other. Henry would mention how he felt kind of awkward at the couples massage. He would jokingly bring up the fact that you both could have given each other massages for free, so you both would naturally try it out.
It would start off with you both not being able to stop giggling, and it would be really silly since neither of you knew what you were doing. It would end up with Henry fucking you into the hotel mattress after you both got a little too turned on. This would then turn into going to a late breakfast the next day after being exhausted from your activities the night before.
It all would have just been so much more simple if you and Henry could be together. When yours and Grace’s plane landed back home, you couldn’t wait to get back to your house and relax. As you both leisurely walked through the busy airport, you couldn’t help but hope that Henry had showed up at the airport.
Let’s get this clear, you knew it was unreasonable, especially since you both were putting so much effort into remaining just friends.
Nonetheless, your hopeless romantic self couldn’t help but hope that Henry had found a way you both could be together and was going to surprise you at the airport in a sweet romantic gesture.
You knew it was stupid to get your hopes up for something that wouldn’t happen, but you couldn’t stop yourself. When Henry wasn’t there waiting for you, you couldn’t help but feel a tad bit disappointed.
Little did you know, he desperately wanted to surprise you at the airport. He had missed talking to you so much, but you both had agreed to not talk to each other for a few days. It had been really hard for you both trying to stay just friends, so you wanted to see if it’d be easier to just not see each other.
He wanted to respect the decision you both made, but at the same time, he wanted to run to you and pull you into his arms.
You finally got home after a long Uber ride with Grace. You unpacked your suitcase and settled in for a night-in.
Theo had invited you to dinner party for tomorrow night, so you picked out your outfit ahead of time. It was just supposed to be some family and friends. You had called Theo to find out if Henry would be there, and he told you that Henry had plans, so you weren’t as nervous for the party.
When it came to the night of the party, you put chose a new red dress you had bought that made you feel really confident. You were determined to have an amazing night and not think about Henry.
You got to the party and knocked on the door. You waited for a minute or two and then Theo answered the door. “Hey, there you are. I was wondering when you were going to get here.” He said, pulling you into a hug.
“Yeah, there was so much traffic on the highway.” You told him as you walked into the house. You saw your mom talking to Sarah in the living room and smiled at them as you walked towards them.
As you walked across the room, you saw the last person you expected to see at this party.
It was Cameron.
Cameron was a guy that you dated in high school, who was coincidentally semi-friends with Theo. Maybe you just had a thing for guys your brother was friends with.
To be fair, Cameron and Theo were only kind of friends. And that didn’t stop you or Cameron from dating. You both had started flirting before you were even aware that he knew your brother. He was in your homeroom class, which is where you met him.
You both started to like other people and decided to break up. It was all mutual, and you remained polite after that when you saw each other at school. The two of you hadn’t seen each other since he graduated. You didn’t even follow each other on social media.
You felt a pit in your stomach seeing him across the room. It wasn’t like either of you disliked each other, but it was sure to be awkward.
You made a beeline for your mom and Sarah, very eager to avoid talking to Cameron for now.
“Hey, how are you guys?” You said, exchanging small talk and hugs with them. You all exchanged some pleasantries. “So, mom did you know Cameron would be here? I didn’t think Theo and him were even friends still.” You whispered.
Sarah decided to fill you in. “Theo and I ran into him at the grocery store because he’s apparently in town visiting some people. So my very extroverted fiancé thought it was only polite to invite him to dinner tonight.” She told you.
“Yeah, that sounds like Theo to me.” You said, giggling at the oddness of the situation. You were definitely glad that you and Theo were on good terms.
“If you’ll excuse me for a second, Cameron and I just made eye contact. So, I’m going to avoid that conversation and head to the bathroom.” You said, and then quickly turned to walk toward the bathroom. It was a little embarrassing that your first response was to run away from your problems, but you didn’t want to have any awkward conversations tonight.
You walked down the hallway that lead to the bathroom, and you could see the bathroom light was on, meaning someone was inside. “Oh, come on.” You mumbled to yourself. You leaned against the wall next to the door, waiting semi-impatiently. You were hoping Cameron wouldn’t look down the hallway and spot you.
“Oh, please hurry up,” you said, moving in front of the door and raising your hand to knock on the door.
Just before your fist could hit the door, the door started to open. You quickly put your hand down to not embarrass yourself. Then, Henry was standing in front of you.
You both froze where you were standing. It was the first time seeing him since the kiss, and you weren’t prepared to see him at all.
“Oh…uh, hi,” you said, at a loss for words. A small smile spread onto his face. “Hi, you look…wow, you look great.” He told you, causing your cheeks to heat up.
“Theo told me you had plans and that you wouldn’t be able to make it tonight.” You told him, explaining why you were so surprised to see him.
“Yeah, my plans got cancelled at the last minute, and plus I couldn’t miss an opportunity to see you, could I?” He told you, softly.
You frowned at him. “Come on, Henry. Stop staying cute stuff like that and making me want to kiss you.” You said, taking a deep breath.
“Would one kiss hurt that bad?” He asked you, slyly. You crossed your arms. “Henry, I’m serious.” You said, turning around and walking back into the living room.
You knew he was only joking, but all the flirting made it so much harder to deal with the fact that you couldn’t date.
You joined Theo and Sarah, where they were talking. “Hey, sis” Theo said, cheerily.
“You didn’t tell me that Henry was going to be able to make it.” You mentioned to him. Theo furrowed his brows in confusion. “I only found out this morning, and I didn’t think you cared. Did something happen with you both?” He asked you.
You quickly shook your head. “No, it’s nothing.” You lied.
“There she is,” you heard someone say behind you. You glanced over your shoulder and saw Cameron. He stood in between you and Theo. “How have you been? You look great.” He told you.
You politely thanked him and made some small talk. The four of you had moved on and were now talking about Theo and Sarah’s first date, and more specifically, how awkward it was.
Henry joined your circle, standing between Theo and Sarah, and gave Theo a small smile. Henry looked more solemn and upset than normal, probably from you storming off.
“I swear, our date was so awkward. I went to kiss her at the end of the date and I completely missed her lips. I thought she’d never talk to me again, and now we’re getting married.” Theo said, laughing as he told the story.
Then, one of your family members came over to grab Theo for a minute.
Cameron decided to keep the conversation going. “I’ve had plenty of awkward first dates. Hell, I’ve had awkward fifth dates. Don’t tell Theo this but like our date down by the lake when we…you know.” Cameron said, glancing over at you. Your eyes went wide, not actually believing he was telling this story.
Henry choked on the sip of his drink he had just taken. “You alright, man?” Cameron asked him, unaware of the situation between the two of you.
“Cameron and I dated in high school.” You said, filling Henry in. He nodded his head, but you could see the jealousy in his eyes. “I’m going to go get some fresh air for a minute.” Henry said, walking away.
“I’m gonna go talk to him and see if he’s okay.” You said, quickly following after him. You walked out the front door and saw Henry sitting on the swinging bench on the porch. He looked absolutely pissed.
“Can I sit?” You asked him. “What do you want?” He said, his eyes shooting daggers at you. That was when you realized he was mad at you.
“I was coming to talk to you. Why are you so upset?” You asked him. He just laughed and looked at the ground. He stood up to face you. “Do you remember when you called me in Hawaii and we talked that night?” He asked you.
“Of course I remember that. I was almost in tears as we talked about how badly we wished we could be together.” You told him, confused as to what he was thinking.
“Did you mean any of it?” He asked, and you could hear the hurt in his voice. His question broke your heart. “What the hell are you trying to accuse me of?” You asked.
“I told you how hard all of this was for me, and I thought you felt the same way. I felt bad for pushing the kiss joke earlier, but then I find out the only reason you didn’t want me to make the joke was because you were here with your ex-boyfriend as your date.” He told you, “I just can’t believe I thought we both felt the same way about each other.”
“No no no, Henry that’s not what happened.” You said, reaching forward to grab his hand.
“Then what did happen?” He asked.
“Cameron is just friends with Theo. That’s why he’s here. I promise, he’s not my date. When I ran into you in the hallway, I was avoiding having to talk to him. I promise, it’s not like that.” You said, taking another step forward to see if he’d back up.
He didn’t.
He let his hands cup your face and then leaned forward resting his forehead against yours. “I really want to believe you. I want to believe that all of this between us isn’t just in my head.” He told you, honestly.
“Then, believe me. I know how hard all of this has been. It's been making me second guess everything too, but you can trust me.” You said, softly. You both heard the front door open, and you jumped apart from each other.
“Hey, there you guys are.” Theo said, smiling once he saw you both. You both smiled back. “Hey, Theo. I was just helping Henry look for his phone in his car.” You quickly lied.
“Oh, okay. Dinner is ready. Oh, but Henry, I want to come show you something.” He said, beckoning Henry will his hand.
After they both left, you felt like you still didn’t know where you stood with Henry.
You walked into the house and grabbed a seat at the long table next to Sarah. You complimented her food and told her how good it looked.
There was two empty seats across from you both, which is where you assumed Theo and Henry would sit when they came back.
Theo appeared and sat down across from you. You wondered where Henry was, and you were concerned he left after your argument. Then, you felt a hand on your shoulder. You turned around and saw Henry with a drink in his hand. “This is for you,” he said, handing the drink to you.
You gave him a soft smile and thanked him. Then, he went to the other side of the table to sit next to Theo.
Dinner was going great. Sure, Henry was glaring at Cameron every time that he spoke, but other than that, it was fine.
Everybody as the group was engaged in their own side conversations. You were talking with both Theo and Sarah, and technically Henry, but he was being quieter than normal.
“Oh, Henry. That reminds me. Sarah met this new girl the other day at the gym, and we think you’d really like her.” Theo told him. You felt your heart drop.
You couldn’t help but feel massively jealous, which you knew was crazy because whether you liked it or not, Henry wasn’t yours.
“Oh, yeah. Okay.” Henry replied, still not feeling very talkative.
You could now imagine how Henry felt when he thought Cameron was your date.
After dinner, Theo invited everyone to go swimming in the pool outside. Theo’s pool was the best part of the entire house. It even had a little mini-island that you could swim around.
After most of the people had headed outside, you headed to the bathroom to change into a bathing suit.
You had gotten dressed but couldn’t manage to get your bikini straps tied. They just seemed to keep slipping themselves undone.
You thought you heard Sarah walk by the door. You clutched your top to your chest and poked your head into the guest room, where you heard the noise.
You came face to face with Henry. “Oh, sorry. I was looking for Sarah. I didn’t mean to bother you.” You apologized.
“You don’t have to apologize, but are you okay? Do you need something?” He asked you.
You shook your head. “I was just going to ask Sarah to tie my bathing suit, but I know you’re mad at me, so don’t worry about it.
He sighs to himself while staring into your eyes. “C’mere,” he says, softly.
You walk over towards him and turned around. You felt one of his warm hands press up against your back. You were sure that he saw the goosebumps that jumped up on your skin when he touched you.
He slowly took the strings and tied them together. His hands lingered on your back, sliding down to land on your hips.
You could feel his breath on your neck as he held you close in front of him. “You know, I’m not mad at you,” he whispered. You noticed you were holding your breath as he whispered into your ear.
“You seemed pretty mad earlier.” You replied, you both still weren’t facing each other.
“I was just pissed at that asshole, Cameron. I shouldn’t have yelled at you or said I didn’t believe you.” He said, practically growling when he said Cameron’s name. You could sense just how jealous he was.
You both couldn’t deny how good it felt to be so close to each other. He loved having his hands on you, and both of you had fully blocked out the voice of reason in your head that normally would have stopped you.
“You know, he’s not an asshole. I mean, he’s not you, but he’s not that bad.” You said. You could feel his grip on your hips tighten. “Really? Then why did he…nevermind.” He said, cutting himself off.
You smirked to yourself. You turned around so you were facing him. He let his arms fully wrap around your waist. “I think I know why you really hate him.” You said, smirking. He cocked his head to the side, curious to what your answer was.
“I think you’re jealous that he’s fucked me and you can’t.” You whispered. There was silence in the room.
“I know we shouldn’t, but I really want to fucking kiss you right now.” He said, softly. It pained you to lean away from Henry. All you wanted to do was lean in and kiss him, but you knew that you would hate yourself in the morning. "We really shouldn't, Hen," you told him, taking a step back.
"Oh, come on. The nickname? You know exactly what you're doing to me, sweetheart." He said, his eyes staring into yours. You felt your insides turn to jelly as he called you sweetheart. "Okay, fair point with the nickname. So, we agree no nicknames? Because I don't think I'll be able to keep my hands off you if you call me sweetheart one more time." You told him, practically melting from the way he was looking at you.
"Really? That's all I have to say? Don't tempt me," he teased you, causing you to cross your arms.
"C'mon, let's go out to the pool." You said, grabbing his wrist and pulling him behind you. Not many people could just pull Henry Cavill wherever they wanted. He was 6'1" and just under 200 pounds of pure muscle, but he was so infatuated with you, he'd go wherever you told him to. He was completely wrapped around your finger.
You both joined everyone by the pool. You were trying to spend some time with Theo, mostly to distract yourself from the glorious sight that was Henry. He was shirtless and was currently dripping water after dunking himself in the pool. You felt an arm wrap around your shoulders as you were talking to your brother. You turned, expecting to see Henry, but instead were face-to-face with Cameron. You could tell just from his breath that he was drunk.
"We're not doing this," you said, removing his arm from you. "But, you're so beautiful, and I have missed you so much." He slurred his words.
You took a step back from him as he tried to grab you again. "Alright, come on, man. I'm gonna bring you inside," Theo said, bringing Cameron in the house and away from you. You turned around to watch as they left and made eye contact with Henry, who was lying down on a lounge chair.
You tried to distract yourself from your immediate reaction, which was how easy it would be to go sit in his lap and kiss him. You walked over to him, giving him a soft smile. "Hey, you," he said, sitting up so that you could sit down next to him. You leaned your head against his shoulder and groaned. "Something wrong?" He asked you, nudging your leg with his own.
"Well my ex-boyfriend is very drunk and trying to get back together with me, so there's that." You ranted, running your hand through your hair. He frowned in response, patting your pack comfortingly even though his blood was boiling. "I'm sorry," he told you softly.
You shook your head. "It's okay. I'm probably gonna head home and hope that I never have to see Cameron again." You told him. He stood up and grabbed your hands, pulling you to your feet. "I'll walk you out," he told you.
You both walked inside, and you quickly went to the bathroom to change out of your bathing suit. When you came out, you noticed that Henry had done the same. You both headed towards the front door, with Henry obviously opening the door for you. When you got to your car, you saw that your tire had a parking boot on it.
You stopped dead in your tracks. "Are you fucking kidding me?" you said, grabbing the ticket off your windshield.
"They put a boot on my car, and it says they'll only come between 9 and 5 to remove it. How am I supposed to get home?" You complained. You ran your hand through your hair, letting out an exasperated sigh. Henry pulled you into a hug. "Hey, don't worry about it. I will give you a ride, and then I can bring you back tomorrow. It'll be fine." he told you.
He grabbed your hand and guided you towards his car. "Hey, you look stressed. It's all good, I promise. No more stress." He said, brushing a piece of your hair behind your ear before opening your door for you.
"Thank you," you said, pulling him into a hug. He ran his hand up and down your back, comforting you. "How about you come over to my apartment tonight and we can hang out? Not for anything like that, just to spend some time together." He suggested. You pulled away from him for a second, staring into his eyes. "You promise to not use any pet names? We both know that would be disastrous for us." You said, knowing it would just take him calling you sweetheart once for you both to end up in bed.
"I promise," he told you. While he kept that promise, it would definitely be a night you would remember forever.
