Hazeal woke, warm and sleepy. For a moment, she thought that she was back in her own bed, back at home. She wondered if she’d overslept, if she was missing school or not. Then she thought that maybe she’d been sick, but when she opened her eyes she saw a room that looked like something out of a magazine cover. Everything was mildly purple, vibrant magenta lights filled the room with a soft glow, like a neon-colored midsummer dream. The air was filled with the smell of smoke and vodka. The bed she was laying in was covered in red cloth that was comfortable and soft against her skin. She was wrapped in a cocoon of rose-colored blankets on top of a mattress so soft her body sunk at the waist.

Hazeal woke laying in a dark alleyway. Her legs were drawn up, her cheek pressed against the cold asphalt ground. A slow drizzle had soaked the fabric on her back and soaked the locks of her hair laying around her body like discarded ribbons. The rest of her, including her clothes, was still mostly dry, which was a relief. Her neck felt stiff, and her shoulders ached. She looked up dazedly at the sky high above her, blood red and completely unrecognizable. For a moment she felt completely disoriented. Then she scrambled up on her knees, skin burning against the asphalt, and forced herself to really look at her surroundings.

This has been living rent free in my head for days, knocking about and making me weep because I can just imagine the expression on the yanderes' face as their darling speaks of being unlovable. They would be so upset, wanting to know who had made them feel this way. Who had made their darling feel like they were less than anything than a Goddess? Who had made them sound so so sad . . .

She leaned against the balcony and swayed, humming to a tune only she could hear. The slow burn of bourbon in her throat felt perfect, the wind against her face blissfully cool. It would have been amazing, viewing the city from this height, if it wasn't for him standing there. She hadn't spoken to him. Not once. Not since he had kidnapped her. She refused to, no matter what he said or did, no matter how sweet he was. She stayed silent, even when her lips trembled and her throat burned to spill out words like a fountain to him, but she worried that once she began, she wouldn't be able to stop. She was like the quite cranes who stalked the tall reeds of a lake, silent and beautiful, with large mournful eyes and porcelain smooth skin; he was the fox in the reeds, watching, waiting for her guard to lower so that he might swoop in amd steal her soul away.

"You don't want to love me, you know."

He was startled, she could tell, but he recovered quickly enough. "Why in the world not, silly girl?"

"Because things will go bad . . . and I will hurt, and so will you."

He laughed, head thrown back even though her words bothered him. They struck him as odd, the deep set pain that laced the words like a fine wine. So sweet it was nearly sick in the way it rolled off her tongue and contaminated her breath. It was like a perfume, he thought. "You can't know that, darling. How could you possibly know that?"

She didn't say anything. She was silent for so long that he began to wonder if ahe would talk again at all, but then she took another smooth swallow from the glass necked bottle, and when she spoke her voice was as fragile as shattered glass.

"Because it always does."

Why do you tag things with an OC (so not an X reader) with the X reader tag?

Honestly? Because I noticed within the first week of using this app that Tumblrs algorithms will eat almost any fic marked with 'OC' 'ORIGINAL CHARACTER' 'OFC' 'ORIGINAL FEMALE CHARACTER' and I said fuk that .

And because it's never been a big deal before. It does state in my description that I dont do X reader stories and they're all oc, at least it did last time I looked(I will double check).

So to answer in short, because Tumblr suxs and I want people to see my work.

These are just the last three fics I wrote. I appreciate the likes, believe me I do, but you have to understand. Likes do nothing for content creators. It’s the reblogs. Because that’s how you find shit on your dashboard. Through reblogs. Not likes. This isn’t twitter or tiktok or instagram. This is a website that’s run by the reblog system.

Reblogging helps content creators put their stuff out there. Why do you think so many people stopped writing fanfic and creating beautiful fanart and edits? It’s because they put in hours of work and don’t get nearly enough notes for their masterpieces. Yes we do this because we enjoy it but like...some validation won’t hurt. A boost of confidence here and there might be all someone needs to finish whatever thing they started and left.
