I've been thinking about Eddie and the instinct to take care of people all day and it's such a core part of who he is that I kinda of want to cry. He was in the army but he chose to be a medic not a soldier, he made sure to pull someone's body out too while under active fire, when he came back home and missed the structure he chose to become a firefighter not a cop. He got shot and his first instinct was to ask if Buck was hurt. He locked the door.
