Starting to wonder if I should delete my rp blogs...this one and my dabi blog.

One of my main muses on this blog is Enji Todoroki/Endeavor...and in some of the more recent chapters its kind of been proven that he wasn't always abusive. He seemed to have a decent relationship with Touya, Rei and Fuyumi. Maybe not so much Natsuo and definitely not with Shouto. But basically hes not quite as terrible as I originally thought.

I started writing Enji quite a while ago (I can't remember the time frame gotta be at least 1+ year) and my main motivation for doing that was because I felt like the Endeavors at the time were too redemption oriented i didnt think his redemption was merited. I also thought it would be interesting to play into the darker side of his character more. Provide some level of catharsis for Todoroki family muses. Have some interesting banter and such.

Now it feels like I'm writing him as a complete dumpster fire for no reason. Granted I'm not saying he wasn't terrible to Shouto. He absolutely was. We know that. But less to work with.

I've also gone back to Dabi...but canon has gone against most of the headcanons and background I developed for him. And he's just not really the kind of villain I like to write anymore. I've been writing him on discord for a long time and I had all these headcanons and background...and it doesnt fit anymore. And i just can't bring myself to chuck it all out and start over.

(Ngl had some woobieing going on.)

Sure you can be canon divergent but it can limit your interactions and sometimes people just don't want to work with it. I feel like most people are actually really happy with the new information we've gotten for Dabi so I also feel doing that will just upset people.

Horikoshi's vision is his vision. I will never say that its wrong its just not what I hoped for I guess.
