I love them. Also find his multiple eyes horrifying but in a good way
thank you, kindly. 💜 really enjoyed drawing all his eyes. some more about Argus and his eyes:
- each eye has unique coloring, and they shift around a lot;
- they're a manifestation of the host of beings that live within his body now;
- sometimes, they 'blink out' and go dormant, but he's usually left with at least the one good eye and one of the three large eyes in the center (belong to three powerful beings who rarely relinquish control).
- his wish was never to be alone again after he was left to rot in a hole as a result of a supposed friend's betrayal, and Basileia was happy to indulge him.
- Argus himself is a cis guy, but as he is a host of many different souls, he tends to use the collective we in conversation and usually prefers them/they pronouns.

so, like, the vast majority of romances i’ve started, it’s just back-to-back sex scenes (and/or violence) until someone starts actually talking and feelings and shit get complicated. which is the complete reverse from the standard romance format, but sorry, that’s how most of my relationships have gone.
miss the days when characters were allowed to be without constantly advancing the plot. everything is so frantic right now, anyway. slowing down is vital. how can our hearts maintain that kind of manic rhythm for long?

my favorite thing is when a plot just emerges from characters being themselves rather than something imposed upon them. so, that’s how most of my stories come about. it’s less me telling characters what to do and more them stumbling about until they break something that can’t easily be fixed.
must a story have “plot”
is it not enough that I just, like, care about the characters a whole bunch
