heavy trigger warning for the post ahead: this post talks about sexual assault, please do not read if this is a trigger for you

if you are not a riverdale twitter stan, you probably wouldn’t have heard about the sexual assault accusation drama that happened over the past few days. in a summary, four members of the cast had sexual assault allegations against them, only for a user to admit they had made up at least three of the claims. 

but you also wouldn’t have heard about a very real accusation that occurred. in all the drama, an accusation against alex hooch which was posted on friday with a lot of evidence backing it up, was covered up. who is alex hooch? he is a bandmate of kj apa, formerly of their band ‘legend’ (which was when the incident occurred) which has since been disbanded, but now is in a band still with kj called ‘the rumble fish’. 

@comingforward11 posted the heartbreaking account of what happened, and has since posted several pictures, videos of dms with hooch himself, and texts with friends directly after the incident. she also had a rape kit done, and has notes confirming this. her story is absolutely heartbreaking and has now been made even worse by the fake accusations which has covered-up her story and allowed the perpetrator to call this another ‘fake riverdale allegation’ as his get-out-of-jail-free card.

although the victim has since said she does not want to press charges because she fears it will not stand up in a court of law, she wanted to share her story because it is very possible alex hooch will use other fans of kj’s, excited to be at his gig, and prey on them too.

please help spread the word. there is currently an attempt to trend #ALEXHOOCHISARAPIST on twitter, please tweet if you can (you must put some comment for twitter to count it, not just the hashtag!), there is also a petition you can sign to get information sent to the legal team to kick him out of the band; unfortunately the band legend has since been disbanded and it is now ‘rumble fish’ hooch is an active member of, but it is the hope that this petition will still draw attention to those that need to see it. please don’t let this story fall silent just because this allegation is against someone ‘not as famous’ as other celebrities.
