• he used to have a motorcycle (most likely a harley-davidson fat boy)

• but he crashed it, and abigail made him get a car instead of another bike because she's convinced he'll break his neck (he will.)

• it's one of those stereotypical cigarette cars if y'know what i'm talking about

• like i said before, john would like alice in chains

• and nirvana, slipknot, system of a down, korn. all those types of bands.

• he LOVES going to concerts and always takes javier with him no matter what

• always wears band tees and some old beat-up jeans

• definitely has at least one tattoo

• i feel like he'd be unemployed

• just a stay at home dad

• but he'd actually just stick an ipad in jack's hands and tell him not to leave the couch. gives him goldfish and juice boxes and just leaves him there.

• i feel like 12 y/o jack would be a boy scout (i mean y'all saw how interested he was in that wolf crap) so he'd have to beg him to come to a camping trip

• would eventually end up going because abigail got upset with him and he secretly loves his son even though he doesn't quite know how to show it

• would do something silly like get up in the middle of the night for a piss and it'd end up in a wolf encounter

• that's how he got his scars

• no more boy scout camping trips

• he'd probably have one of those "i am kenough" hoodies

• would try to make a living off of streaming but fails miserably (tries to convince abigail that it just takes time and she eventually gives up trying to make him get a real job)

• favorite flavor of chips would be lay's BBQ, idk why i just feel it in my bones

• would be absurdly talented with those finger skateboard thingies

JACK MARSTON never thought he'd find love. it was never a priority for him - he spent most of his days hunting down the man who killed his father. so, when you happened to stumble into his life, he found himself rather lost on what to do. the two of you fell for each other almost instantly. it reminded him of one of those cheesy romance novels he used to read for shits and giggles, only now romance didn't seem so bad.

as the months passed, you became his safe haven - protecting him from his own mind. his thoughts were scattered these days. the war inside him raged on, and he knew it would for the rest of his miserable life.

however, there was always that one constant thing bringing him joy. you. each time you smiled at him, spared a glance his way, helped him with anything at all, it felt like a dream come true. jack swore that if angels really existed, they must've been nothing in comparison to you.

he arrived home late, as he usually did. his footsteps were light, rapping softly against the old hardwood floors as he made his way to the bedroom. there you were, fast asleep on the little rickety bed. jack couldn't help but smile to himself, adoring the peaceful look on your face. out of all the times he spent with you, these were his favorite. nothing was better than curling up in bed with the one he loved most.

you felt the bed dip and creak with the weight of someone behind you. a sleepy murmur fell from your lips as you shifted, unconsciously pulling the blanket up to your chin.

“sorry, sweetheart,” a voice whispered. a pair of chapped lips pressed a delicate kiss behind your ear. “didn't mean to wake you.”

“hi, jack,” you whispered, eyes still shut as you reached back to hold his hand, his skin rough and calloused against your own. even in your groggy state, the tiredness clouding your mind never deterred your love for him. “missed you.”

“i missed you, too.” another kiss was placed on your neck, his free hand wrapping around your waist to pull your body flush against his own. he always loved holding you. it made him feel needed and wanted. “go back to sleep. y’ need your rest.”

a little smile grew on your lips, and even in the darkness, jack felt his heart flutter. as the two of you lay there drifting off to sleep, he decided that maybe his life wasn't so miserable after all. that war inside himself seemed to settle down, and for just a moment, his world was at peace. you were his hiding place, a place of safety and comfort.

personally, i hate him very, very much. i don't think i even need to explain why. however, i do like him as a character. rdr2 definitely would not be the same without him, and peter blomquist did an outstanding job bringing him to life.

i just don't see the appeal. there's probably a lot more i could get into, but i hate him in a good way.
