The party attendees watched on with bewilderment as the royal guards wrestled the blade from the princess’ hands. They retained her arms behind her and struggled to keep her at bay. Carla couldn’t watch for a moment longer and turned his back to the scene, ashamed.

Kazuha whined, freed her right arm and launched for his hand. He turned, fighting to keep his poise. Tears burst from the princess’ eyes as she choked back a sob and desperately held the prince’s gaze.

No matter, for she never seemed happy about little me’s attempts at being someone she could present to the public as her granddaughter with pride. Alas, it appears my mother’s blood was too strong of a repellent to aid a crumpling situation.”
