Astrological heads up for Saturday, the 29th
Moon ingress into Virgo [[Exact 0 at around 11:58 AM PST]]
With the moon leaving Leo we’re sort of called back to “reality”, and things become more anchored into the mundane. Emotionally it can be easier to worry about finer details, and getting caught up on certain routine tasks can bring some comfort. Addressing things connected to the physical body is always somewhat likely during Virgo moons, as well as having more of a focus on organization through work related matters and the basic structure of everyday life. If during the Leo moon we were called to more lighthearted and noncommittal aspects of life, the Virgo moon asks us to call ourselves into check with what really needs to be taken care of and committed to.
Moon trine Jupiter [[Exact the night before]]
Jupiter aspecting the Virgo moon harmoniously gives eager-to-assist  vibes, and can also help us feel at ease and kept afloat. When it comes to the moon being in Virgo there can be pleasantry in connection to physical reality, happy relations with those we work with, and a general ease in maintaining things. Jupiter assisting the moon from its transit in Aries can give us a boost in morale and help us feel on track as far as plans that need to be made. Jupiter is also the planet of higher knowledge and blessings, so learning some important things could be something Jupie is willing to help us with on Saturday.
Moon opposite Saturn [[Exact at around 10:41 PM PST]]
As the day progresses we lose some of that Jupitarian buoyancy and exchange it for some seriousness and potential dryness, maybe even some worry. Luckily the moon is in Virgo, which could lessen some of the severity felt around Saturnian energy, as Saturn and Virgo are both Earthy - they can work off each other to some extent, in the pursuit for maintaining physical needs. The potential for some anxiety or sense of being unsettled is there, but with the moon also trining the sun it may not be very severe. Saturn pushes on us to increase our productivity as does the Virgo moon, and Saturn being in Pisces asks us to limit some tendencies of uncertainty or foggy thinking.

Astrological Heads up for Friday the 28th
Tumblr media
Moon square Mercury [[Exact at 2:43 AM PST]]
The moon is the epicenter of everything that’s free of rationale, for the most part; it’s our innermost experiences and feelings. In a square with Mercury there can be confused thoughts (especially with Mercury still retro) and misplaced emotions. Having to navigate how we feel is possible for Friday, and with the moon still being in Leo there’s a sense of not knowing how to integrate certain thoughts into the self. It could be difficult to just “be” on this day, especially in the morning. Responsibilities and things pertaining to reality (Taurean connection to immediacy) could feel as though they’re mounting, swirling and difficult to keep track of. A desire to just goof off and attend to lighter things could be present in the earlier hours of Friday, but responsibility and linear understandings will be present.
Moon Square Uranus [[exact at around 12:25 PM PST]]
This adds to feelings of confusion, messiness, difficulty keeping stuff together. But with Uranus afflicting the moon it brings cravings for randomness and freedom. Uranus is our connection to the unplanned, and Leo shares this spontaneous quality, to some extents. Leo is the path of one’s personality, which forms in all kinds of organic ways. We could be feeling as though things lack spontaneity or charm on Friday, and thus want to branch out and take things less seriously than they require. Uranus puts a strain on us for creative solutions to problems, especially with Mercury retrograde aspecting it still. We will have to resist the temptation to procrastinate heavily or go rogue on Friday. Major chaos-weekend vibes. Impatience is also possible, or just absolute boredom.
Moon sextile Venus [[Exact at around 4:39 PM PST]]
Venus reaches out to bring a small amount of assistance, urging us to find connectivity through sociable interaction. Venus in the Scorpio degree transiting Gemini says “talk it out and connect deeply” - we have the potential for some sweetness through the wires and through our communicative opportunities. The enjoyment of discourse is possible through this aspect, as well as having some pretty fulfilling conversations. There’s also the potential for some inspiration or just generally feeling “hooked up” to more interesting veins of thought on Friday. Exploring interesting facets of hobbies, games and recreational past times is something that could come up under the Leo influence of the moon as it interacts with Venus.

Mars squaring Chiron - My “predictions” regarding what may arise through this transit
On April 27th at around 6:07 AM (PST) Mars goes partile in a square with Chiron, the little asteroid with the strange orbit that brings so much emotional turbulence. Chiron is representative of our dreams shattered, and our illusions when it comes to pain. Wherever Chiron is in our chart is where we place the heaviest attachment to pain in life, and how we single ourselves out in terms of crosses to bear. Mars is the fighter and the “God of War”, and when in a square with Chiron there can be some harsh emotions that come up, especially with Mars being in the most emotional sign in the zodiac. Mars in a square with Chiron can cause us to want to lash out, and to want to find reasons for the ways in which we’ve been setback in life, potentially even wanting to find someone else to blame for them.
Passive aggressive tendencies can arise during this transit, and a sense of quickly formed negative emotions regarding certain situations that have not “measured up” in reality, versus their potential. Pains around lineage and family line are always a possibility when we think of Cancer, and so we may feel a renewed discomfort around familial expectations, or be thinking of the ways in which we didn’t accomplish family expectations. Cancer is an energy that relates to the past, and so there can be a lot of past stuff that comes up around anger and victim-mentalities, with the review being a cause for desiring withdrawal. With Mars in Cancer there could always be difficulty opening up or “delegating” emotional burdens, to some extent. We could end up wanting to take everything on ourselves to a detrimental extent. Maintaining a healthy balance of emotional review and refusing to wallow is going to be important to maintain during this transit.
Mars is an energy that always moves forward, and so we will need to be tapping into this element as best we can during the Mars/Chiron square. The difficulty will come from inflamed emotion, wounds being magnified and challenges being placed in the way of growth and healing. Chiron represents our innate talents and abilities before a time of invalidation or disillusionment. It goes back to the Chironian myth in which Chiron, the incredibly gifted centaur and healer got shot with Hercules’ arrow and had to face a major fall from grace. There could be experiences manifested in which we recognize portions of our downfall, and the only way through it is to pull up and move ahead.
Aspects
Mars sextile Uranus
This is an aspect that promotes evolution through motivation and outward/out of the box thinking. The sextile can be viewed as “a way out”, or an opportunity that is offering itself up. During the Mars/Chiron square we could find opportunities to change or evolve our motivations in life, or to recognize surprising new ways to motivate out of the struggles that come through the Mars/Chiron square. Uranus is the planet of liberation, and can thus show us a way out of certain unchanging situations that have to do with the things we desire in life, or that truly get us excited (as these are very “martian” things. Uranus can change the way we move through life when it’s in a sextile with Mars, albeit maybe in more subtle ways than would be if a trine were happening. All it takes is that one out of the box movement forward that can change the track for us in life.
Mercury sextile Mars
This is a harmonious connection between thought processes and a desire to conquer. Mercury represents problem solving, and in a sextile with Mars there’s a possibility for really making ground toward what it is that is alluring in life. Problems around motivation and self-starting, as well as confidence, can be gleaned in a more precise way during the Mars/Chiron square. A possibility for overcoming painful perspectives will be present. Aligning thought with action is also a big thing with positive Mercury/Mars aspects, and when it comes to Chiron there’s the potential to come out the victor over really confused or disempowered thoughts and perspectives. Moving forward confidently and out of the past should be the goal for this transit. Mercury is also our navigation in life, so we could get new instincts to follow and find certain answers to long-standing issues. Overall harnessing our reactions to pain is possible through the Mercury/Mars sextile.
Ruler of Cancer in Leo
Having a Leo moon as an important player in this specific aspect transit means that some of the challenges that come up will have to do with our sense of self, pride, ego, the ways in which we are seen, our life force or “destiny”, the ways in which we find light and happiness, and our truest elements of authenticity. Leo is the individual in the sense of being able to shine bright and be known for unique attributes and talents. Having to deal with certain decisions around the concept of fulfillment and happiness may arise during the Mars/Chiron square, and we may recognize some of the ways in which we have not been supported for who we really are; we may review the ways in which we feel invisible, or want to heal certain facets of lacking self confidence. Addressing lack of fulfillment without finding anyone or anything else to blame can be the biggest step forward through this challenging aspect.
Moon square sun
With the moon squaring the sun in Taurus during this Mars/Chiron square there are themes of choosing happiness over money, or really struggling to do so. Our emotional side is really fighting for attention over the moves of our ego, but a lot of it is centered around being recognized as a whole; being validated (or not), being encouraged (or not), seeking “permission” to do things in life just for the sake of happiness, when the expectation now is to prioritize the material. Identifying too much with the material world is also a wound in itself that can need healing, and something that comes up with sun/moon square in Taurus and Leo. Material accomplishments can be a point of strife or sadness during this time.
With the sun being in Venus-ruled Taurus there is always going to be the suggestion of relationships, and when it comes to the moon in Leo the question is: who am I in my relationships, and what am I bringing to the table? We can potentially feel insecure regarding our contribution in relationships, as Chiron always has a habit of bringing those pains up prominently. Wanting to “fix” our experiences in relationships as they relate to our own sense of self importance could be something that arises to be looked at during this transit.
Moon opposite Pluto
Another aspect happening with a strong Plutonian influence. There is just so much astrology regarding big changes happening. But with the Leo moon being in an opposition with Pluto during the Mars/Chiron square there are great changes regarding how we feel about ourselves. The things we are proud of, the ways in which we greatly want to be recognized as shining and our general sense of importance in the world.  Through the moon opposing Pluto we could see some of the darker elements of our ego emerge. Some shadow work to go through for sure, we could recognize how we self sabotage and the ways in which we get in our own way, preventing ourselves from authenticity. Some of the “double faces” we’re wearing, or the more performative aspects of our nature could need reexamining as connected to deeper wounds. What are ways we pretend in order to avoid feeling pain? This seems like something that could come up.
Pluto exposes surface value elements in order to get us in touch with a reality that goes way beyond even the tangible in this world. Deeper influences emerge and we can see the ways in which we are coerced, manipulated and controlled, but also the ways in which we hide things from ourselves. Pluto brings focus and power wherever it lies, it’s just a matter of if we’re ready to dig in order to reveal it.
Moon square north node
The north node is our largest opportunity for growth within existence, even though it’s never the most comfortable point to reach for. It represents all that we have access to in terms of our purpose in life, as well as the things that our soul truly hungers for. The south node is what the ego latches onto, and it’s what we seek for comfort to such an extent that we repeat cycles that do not contribute to our growth. With the moon squaring the north node we could feel somewhat mixed up in terms of how the path has unfolded. We may have a bunch of old stuff stirring up that prevents us from seeing the higher side of events unfolding - struggling to feel as though we want to grow, struggling with thoughts of “not wanting to be the bigger person” and deal with the hand we’ve been dealt. The north node in Taurus is still calling to us, to simplify our lives and be happy with the way things are. The moon in Leo squaring it could find a lot of complaints related to how things turned out, wishing for more happiness, more fulfillment and a lighter load.

Astrological heads up for Wednesday the 26th (April 2023)
I wish I had the time to be able to do these every day, like I used to. I do them whenever I have the freedom; sorry it’s so scattered!
Moon sextile Uranus [[Exact at 11:40 PM the night before (PST)
Uranus and the moon together can bring unpredictable emotional responses to things, but when they are in harmony with each other it can equate to pleasant emotional surprises. There is potential for an increase in stimulation with this aspect; we can feel a nudge to come slightly out of our comfort zone (really slight decisions such as “I want to get an outfit I’d never normally wear, just because”). Uranus is the great innovator, and can draw our attention to some seemingly off the wall things, or cause us to feel things we wouldn’t normally feel - especially in contact with the moon. These facets may not be really “in your face”, considering this is a minor aspect, but we could feel somewhat quirky starting our day on Wednesday.
Moon conjunct Mars [[exact the night before]]
We also start off the early morning hours with a wide Mars/Moon conjunction, which represents an infusion of impulse, motivation and desire, caked over everything. We could crave speed or visible progress forward, and it may feel somewhat as though our sense of security depends on visibly seeing things progress (the moon = security and needs). Mars can be an impatient energy, and when it’s in Cancer, also joining with the ruler of Cancer, the moon, we can have moments of reactivity and perceived injury, or a need to “stand off”. Add this to the fact that the moon is trining Neptune, which basically opens our antennae up to receive emotional experiences that can be easy to get lost in.
Moon square Jupiter [[Exact at around 2:08 PM PST]]
The moon in Cancer squaring Jupiter in Aries…. This can be a difficulty believing in something, or vice versa: the steeping in, and over-focusing on faith and belief. Either we are obstinate and “know” exactly what’s going to happen regardless of logic or linear understanding, or we feel somewhat anxious and worried about what’s on the other side of certain obstacles.
We all have beliefs that we uphold, and this is what Jupiter represents. This can be an aspect of worrying about the shakiness of certain perspectives, or being indecisive and nervous regarding situations that require faith. We can find it difficult to believe in positive outcomes while the moon is in a square with Jupiter, and so emotions can somewhat run haywire as a result of stress. Jupiter in Aries really tries to infuse us with confidence and the ability to follow through on our instinct, even if the Cancer moon has us temporarily wanting to choose comfort, privacy and the nurturing bonds of family and the home; together in an inharmonious aspect we can feel greatly tugged between being required to face the unknown and hunkering down and hiding from the harshness of the world. Overall, remembering that a lot of life requires good faith, and not steeping in anxiety, is the key to balancing the experience of this aspect out.
Moon trine Neptune [[Exact at around 4:40 PM PST]]
If we feel weird and impatient with the early morning Mars/moon conjunction, we could feel ourselves chill out some later in the afternoon. Neptune is sometimes the biggest “chill pill”; it really creates an emotionally charged atmosphere that’s tolerable, when it’s positively aspecting the moon. It can create dreaminess, enhance creativity and cause us to want to view life and the world affectionately. Escapism seems like it could rear its head on this day (Wednesday), but it could still be a pretty invigorating experience. The moon in a trine with Neptune also can enhance the intuition, bringing us realizations that are really imaginative and seemingly from “other dimensions”. It could be easy to “escape” and drift into more comfortable modes of feeling in the later afternoon hours.

Astrological heads up for Sunday the 23rd
Moon conjunct Venus [[Exact at 5:43 AM]]
The moon is in talkative and opinionated Gemini, and conjoining with Venus on Sunday. This represents an enjoyment of discussion and sharing views, being busy intellectually and spending quality time via the enjoyment of things that promote social connection. Gemini’s vibe is casual and fun, with a disconnection from what’s heavy and overly committal. Gemini rules the third house of immediate locale and “the neighborhood”, thus we could find ourselves wanting to take short excursions or day trips. Overall the emotional air can be light and focused externally versus on overly emotional things; Gemini isn’t known for being overly brooding or emotional. Overall it’s a good day for getting out, enjoying the company of those whose interests and topics of conversation we have in common and being occupied and busy.
Mercury retro maintains conjunction with Uranus
This is the energy of having to stabilize perception and understanding of certain events. Mercury has everything to do with our mind and its patterns, while Uranus takes us off any sort of predictable course. During this aspect there can be different random realizations that occur, or things externally can go haywire. With Mercury being the planet of plans and organization, things can seem really difficult to understand or predict, and it can be harder to keep things together. Generally there can be a sense of overstimulation or boredom, as Uranus pushes us to think about a multitude of different things, and possibly pushes us to innovate how we think as a whole. What new pursuits can we engage with via our mind? That is something that can come up during this transit as well. Strange avenues of thought, and the exploration of things that are not really “orthodox” or usual can become a focus when these two planets interact with each other.

Astrological Heads up for Tuesday, the 18th
Moon in Aries
The moon enters Aries the night before and is just beginning its transit through Aries in the beginning hours of Tuesday. The couple days that the moon was in Pisces we could have wanted to be more withdrawn or isolated in comparison to what an Aries moon cycle can bring, which is an increase in excitement and activity. Leaving the bubble of home, and all that’s incubating, and internal, in favor of more external advancements and objectives. Aries moons can bring up some mildly aggressive tendencies, stubbornness, new ideas and envisionings, opportunities on an emotional level, and a sense of ambition around everyday things.
Moon Square Mars: [[Exact at around 3:15 PM PST]]
The moon is in Aries, squaring its ruler: Mars. Aries energy can put us in impulsive or reactive states, and in a square with Mars there can be some impatience with slow moving things and stagnancy. A general sense of wanting to pounce and act on things quickly could be rife on Tuesday. Some cranky tendencies are also possible whenever we’re dealing with Mars, especially with Mars being in the very-emotional sigh of Cancer still. Arguments around how things feel at home and in important spheres of life and emotional connectivity could be a thing - or we could just be moving through a lot of brash emotions in general.
Sun approaches square with Pluto [[Exact on the 20th]]
The sun in a square with Pluto represents pressure put upon the ego. Pluto is the greatest force of change through frightful experience, when we come face to face with the deeper truth of situations. With the sun being our vitality and connection to self and “life-force” we may feel challenged on some fronts, to get more deeply in touch with how we express ourselves. Fear of shining or really being exposed or seen for who we are can arise; a sense of wanting to hide from certain facets of our “destiny” may also show up. Overall it’s a deep transformation of all facets of self and expression of what it is that makes us individuals.

Solar Eclipse at 29 degree Aries - releasing the old formulas of reality.
Tumblr media
There’s an eclipse on April 19th at around 9:11 PM (PST), in Aries. Eclipses are slow-releasing transformation points. They open a portal unto our ability to heal and release stuck stuff. They can signal a time of polishing and aligning the ego; the side of us that is not in touch with the greater reasoning of the Universe. The side that tries to fight divine timing and fight it with logic and reasoning, much of it stemming from past experience. The thing with eclipses, though, is that they can be a reset. What worked in the past will probably not be the case moving forward, when it comes to whatever the eclipse represents. With Aries there is a transformation of our ability and motivation to fight, our resistance to new things, and a step into the things we’d be able to do if we had no fear; fearlessness is the Aries way. When we release the fog of Pisces there can be new doorways opened up and a clear instinct as to what walls we want to bust through with the vitality and vigor of Aries energy.
On the 19th of April the eclipse happens when the sun and moon are just leaving Aries, and is in the very critical 29th degree. The 29th degree is somewhat known for being tied to crises, and can relate to breaking points or points in need of very intense progression forward. This matches Aries energy well, as Aries pays no real mind to the past, and has its sights on the next big thing to overcome. Challenges are a major thing when it comes to Aries energy, and with degree 29 there is a signal for mastery. It is theorized that planets and points at 29 degrees represent something that needs to be overcome, harnessed, understood and mastered.
The ruler of Aries is Mars, so with these eclipse we’re dealing with themes of:
aggression
Innovation
initiation
Impulse
motivation
the inclination to fight
Competition
FOMO or “get there first” mentality
difficulties reeling it in (reactive)
Entrepreneurial pursuits
and a desire to go all out and take risks or “flirt” with disaster.
The thing in life we are most desiring to fight for, that motivates and captivates us, or that we find the most instinctually alluring, may be something that unfolds more from the point of the eclipse on. There’s a sort of determined momentum that always comes with Aries, and the sun and the moon together in that energy during an eclipse has the appearance of cleansing and solidifying the ego in pursuit of what’s actually wanted, while the idea of constraints can become increasingly difficult to tolerate.
There’s the theme of solidifying the inner and outer selves in order to push toward the desirable, and leave behind traits that enable losing out and accepting defeat and failure as the status quo. Aries pushes us to win and feel like a winner, and it represents winning at all costs. Refusing to surrender or give up on what it is that “makes it” for us (that thing in life that we think will fulfill us in terms of passion) is something that could come up during this time. With this eclipse taking place in the same sign Chiron has been in for a while, there’s some of the energy of healing and self improvement around taking losses in life that are not deserved, or accepting weaker versions of ourselves for the sake of comfort and ease.
Those paths in life that are desired but never seem to find any real beginning or place in the world could have their moment of clarity the 6 or so months after the eclipse. There could be a triggering of releasing old habitual patterns of procrastination or drifting, (Saturn in Pisces is teaching us this lesson, too: that of how to stop drifting and really figure stuff out) patterns of making excuses out of fear and really staying stuck in limbo as a result of not being able to see how certain things will work out. If the upcoming Mercury retro will have us overthinking the path ahead, the Aries eclipse can help us burn through it and transform it into something almost unrecognizable.
Ruler of Aries is in Cancer:
When we want to ”predict” how certain transits or astrological events will play out, we can look to the ruler of the planet in question. With Mars we look to its current transit in Cancer: the sign of deep familial and domestic connection. Mars in Cancer still has us emotionally driven - led strongly by the way things feel, having us experience really intense and unpredictable emotions as Mars has a hard time navigating the sensitivity of Cancer. In tune with the Eclipse there’s a shedding of old emotional wounds and patterns, as well as certain inherited troubles and traumas through the family line. Emotional “battles” that are difficult to win can become a focus for mastery once again during this transit.
Mars will be in a sextile with Mercury when the eclipse happens. Mercury correlates to focus on a mental level, but it can also represent trying to see things as they really are: it’s a very dry and factual planet, even though it does represent the human brain, and our perceptions as humans aren’t always accurate. Mercury is also tied to communication, which is something that comes up all the time. But in a sextile with Mars Mercury has the chance to make a big impact in a communication sense. We have the chance to profess certain feelings, make connections in a deeper sense intellectually and really scope out the emotional reasons why we take certain steps forward, or have taken certain steps.
Mercury is somewhat important because it aspects Mars, the ruler of Aries, during the eclipse. With Mercury being in a conjunction with Uranus there can be a lot of shifts in perspective, or difficulty maintaining clear cut-and-dry understandings. Understandings can feel shaky, strangely esoteric or a bit out of reach, and overthinking is not our friend during this time, especially with this conjunction happening in the ever-hesitant Taurus. The way we’ve come up with intricate “logical” excuses and postponed certain big callings in life might come up to be examined and released.
Being too blunt with what we think is the truth can also be a theme that comes up for transformation: the need for tact and grace when it comes to communicating our strongest held convictions, or vice versa: not having strong enough conviction or understandings as to what we want out of reality. There can also be rigidity of thought when it comes to Mercury in Taurus - stubbornly holding onto certain facets of viewing the world and solving problems, as well as telling the same stories over and over again regarding life’s reality and what’s possible. Luckily Uranus always has a habit of disrupting rigid and stagnant states, even if it renders the process highly uncomfortable by way of feeling no real sense of security.
Sun and Moon square Pluto
Pluto IS the “lord of the underworld”, but is also tied majorly to transformation and the death of the old. This coming eclipse has so much energy that resonates, and so many of the elements tie together. We have the critical 29th degree representing forcible dealing of crises, with that 29 being in Aries, the sign of burning bridges and facing stuff head on. Then we have Pluto being a major player and coming to direct major change and the release of stuff - eclipses specifically being about purification and release. The themes are beautiful and harmonious, even if a little edgy.
Pluto comes to take us to task to show us what we can withstand and still grow in strength, and when it’s in a square with the sun and moon there’s a huge shift in how we relate through our emotional perspective with the outside world, as well as our identity and expression in it. Pluto demands some sort of release of biases and misconceptions; the modern ruler of Scorpio is all about truth and exposure, desensitization and survival. We are being called to step into our truest sense of self, ambition, motivation, perseverance and lust for life. When it comes to Pluto in Aquarius the focus has to do with the future, our goals for evolution and our deepest sense of enlightenment and genius. It’s pushing us to cultivate the talents that enable us to contribute to society. Aquarius also represents experimentation - putting seemingly weird or unpredictable elements together and letting the results play out without being too attached to what will happen, as the possibilities are endless. Again this is an allusion to repetitive formulas for our reality being released.
Sun and Moon conjunct Jupiter
Jupiter is the planet of our belief systems and what we turn to when there seems to be no hope or positive resolution. It’s faith and good will, and represents our highest mind: that which is actually connected to our spirit. Jupiter is going to be helping us out in some respects, assisting us in finding the meaning through some of the darkness being wrought by Pluto. Jupiter is the perspective that’s unendingly bright in the face of absolute darkness. With the sun and moon both conjuncting Jupiter during the eclipse we can reach for a spiritual understanding regarding the path ahead. It may seem as though there’s a very deep and meaningful spiritual experience unfolding, or we may simply begin to believe in the most positive outcome. We may start to witness those in our lives experiencing positive outcomes after periods of darkness, or choosing the light instead of a negative perspective of struggles. It’s a learning opportunity: seeing things fade and slide into an abyss of uncertainty but believing strongly that the highest good for all will be achieved in the end. Learning something major about our ability to survive and the strength that we actually possess is a possibility.
Another possibility is that ego temporarily gets expanded and burns like a fire trying to take over a forest. Jupiter is an exaggerating force, and it really brings the danger of prioritizing the self above all else when it’s in a conjunction with the sun - the moon as well, to a certain extent. We have to resist the temptation to move too quickly; there needs to be a balance between motivated and empowered pursuit and recklessness. There may be lessons we think we’ve learned and overcome, just to have to experience them again later on.

Mercury retro in Taurus: a look at what my cards say!
Tumblr media
What do the cards say will come up during Mercury retro in taurus?
[[ ® = reversed]]
Row 1: 8 of Cups ®, The Hermit ®, King of Swords, The Empress, Queen of Swords ®
The King and Queen of Swords showing up represents relationships needing balance, and having the Empress in between them shows that balance is needed on a material level, in real life and with really earthy elements and issues. The 8 of Cups ® shows dissatisfaction, the feeling that no matter where we are there’s no real solace or contentment. Finding contentment and nourishment may be something that comes up strongly. The hermit ® shows us that we may try too hard to make sense of things, rather than just living. Isolation is not the answer, and the King of Swords is a reminder that communication is going to be paramount during this transit. There is not going to be success assuming how others feel and how others think; the main thing to remember is to check in, make sure we take the time and make the effort to really understand how the people we’re connected to are thinking and feeling.
Row 2: Page of Pentacles, Knight of Wands ®, The Universe, 6 of Pentacles, 2 of Wands ®
There’s a lot here about getting out of our heads and connecting with life as it is. This goes with the simplification that Taurus brings. It’s a connection to the reality of the world, and getting deeply in touch with things as they've manifested. There is always a learning experience that comes from Mercury retrogrades, and for this one a lot of it is connected to true, nurturing communication. There’s also something to be said about indecision coming through. The 2 of Wands ® shows that keeping our ideas solely to ourselves can render us stuck. Indecision can come from burnout or indulging in the feeling that we have to keep everything in. There’s also difficulty making plans without the input or assistance of others during this time, which makes sense because the ruler of the sign that Mercury will be in during it’s retrograde is Venus, the planet of relationships.
Oracle Cards: “Unfathomable”, Psyche”, “Anima”
Things can be revealed as exactly what they are, and solutions to problems can seem more complicated than they really are. There’s a major “It is what it is” energy speaking through these cards. There is no changing what is meant to be in its purest form, except our understandings of it, and the lessons around it. There is so much coming through about simplicity, taking the path of the least mental resistance, and with these other cards there is something being said about Intuition. Taking a more gentle (feminine energy) approach to conflict at this time could be very important, as well as being patient and really delving into empathy and understanding. We could receive revelations connected to some of the unseen things in our lives, as well, during this transit.

My understanding of the upcoming Mercury retrograde in Taurus (April 21)
Tumblr media
Mercury retrograde kicks in on April 21 at 1:34 AM (PST)
Mercury retro in Taurus it seems like it could be a major time of going inside and restructuring our connection with emotions and mental health - I say this because the moment Mercury goes retro in Taurus it’s in an exact (almost) conjunction with the moon. The moon in Taurus is self assuring and has us feeling some strength and support, but in a conjunction with Mercury retro there’s an allusion to some emotional confusion or confusion regarding what certain situations need (since moon = needs) or how to fulfill those needs. When Mercury goes retrograde in April it’s still in a sextile with Mars. This can affect our sense of direction, but there can be a lot to be explored, since it is a harmonious aspect. This could represent having ideas about moving forward that may be more “scenic” than clear cut or direct. We also have the internalizing energy of Cancer affecting Mars still.
There’s a really interesting conglomerate happening with Mercury, the moon and Uranus, when Mercury goes retrograde. To me this feels like a major revolution of the way things feel, and the way things need to be resolved. Taurus is always going to affect our reality in a very foundational way, and a lot of changes may be coming to our foundations. If Aries is the birth and then the pursuit of what it is in life we’re able to conquer, Taurus is the establishment of its reality and figuring out what can actually stand the pressure of life and time. Gemini -which does come in here - is the assessment of how things connect within what it is we’re trying to build, and Cancer is the finished product: the home base, the roots planted, the family and then another extension out through family. In Taurus we are checking the land - sensing any potential dangers and ensuring that we are where we want to be for the long term.
With Mercury sextiling Mars in Cancer, and Mercury being in Taurus, there is again: the theme of permanence in our lives. It’s almost like the official forward moving progress to certain fixed destinations - material accomplishments, even if a lot of us have had plenty of false-starts in life. With Mercury retrograde it can be difficult to see all the facts and how all the pieces fit together, but there may still be that feeling that we’re on the right track. Uranus involved makes me think of that deep feeling that something’s changing or has to change, and the moon can help us get in touch more with what that change has to represent.
Taurus’ ruler Venus is in Gemini when Mercury goes retro, which is another Mercury ruled sign. So we have a pure combination of Venus and Mercury energy, which definitely involves relationships and social interconnection. With the ruling sign of Mercury retrograde being Taurus, and the ruling planet of Taurus being Venus, we have something to figure out during the retrograde cycle that involves relationships and relating to other people. With Gemini being the sign Venus is in at this time, there’s the task of being able to relate intellectually and figure out communication. During the retrograde cycle we may find communication somewhat challenging (something that happens anyway during Mercury retro cycles) - especially communication that manifests in Venusian ways, such as affection, appreciation, attraction, and the relating via the material in life such as money and assets.
Venus Square Saturn:
Venus is squaring Saturn when Mercury goes retro in Taurus, and this is a complication around love, relationships and potentially shared finances, or shared understanding about finances. Gemini is indicative of one-on-one, which to me makes it seem as though we may have it out with certain people in relationships in terms of how, where and why we spend money. Gemini is explanation, so we may feel a need to really explain things or clear up major stuff. Saturn in Pisces is a tight leash, as Saturn and the sign of Pisces do not really mesh. There’s a certain difficulty when it comes to the ways in which we drift. With Mercury retro being the main energy we’re examining for this, we may feel the need to problem solve via some of these themes. Venus square Saturn, with Saturn being in Pisces, represents a need for boundaries and solid establishment between “mine vs yours”. There can be a need to untangle thoughts and opinions from relationships, so that we can see what’s really going on. Saturn is discipline, so we may really feel like it’s time to get our stuff together in relationships, or how we spend money - whether it be giving away too much or not being lenient enough. Either way it’ll be a time to restructure thought processes around give and take, and there may be some detours to take along the way.

What I’m seeing for the Sun/Jupiter conjunction in Aries:
On April 11th the sun goes into an exact conjunction with Jupiter at 2:49 PM [[PST]]
We still have the sun in Aries giving us the essence of forward movement and the ability to manifest initiatory aspects of our destiny. It’s also a “rushed” energy, and can leave us feeling like there’s too much to tackle at once. With the Aries sun going conjunct with Jupiter there’s an expansion of new experiences and desires to be free of inhibition. The essence of self unencumbered is something to philosophize over during this great conjunction. Where would we go and what would we do if things were completely limitless? The exploration away from limits is a blessing that Jupiter can bring, especially as it aligns with The Sun - the heavenly body that aligns us with life and light, plus all of the things that fill up our selfhood and ego.
During the sun/Jupiter conjunction we have the ruler of Aries (Mars) in Cancer, which represents our deepest sense of intuition, and utilizing it to come to some spiritual realizations (Jupiter = spirituality) regarding new things we want to have show up in our lives. Exploring the side of ourselves that’s more esoteric or difficult to define via mundane understandings can be big during this aspect. Jupiter in Aries is really a major fresh opportunity, that can change the course of our perspective and philosophy and thus change our trajectory in life - it’s  the beginning of a 12 year cycle.
Mars in Cancer is an opportunity to take a lot of ambitious motivation from the external world and place it into the productive potential of working out old emotional patterns, emotional confusions and past trauma, as well as familial trauma and issues. It’s a point in the timeline: of understanding the roots that have been placed and really assessing whether we need re adjusting on an emotional and spiritual level before proceeding forward into more tangible/immediate results. Some form of “isolation” or introversion is needed during this transit, but it’s just enough so that we can figure out what’s going on internally. Having Mars in Cancer during the Sun/Jupiter conjunction sets the tone for the aspect as a whole: it is indicative of expansion from within, spiritual connection, and understanding around the concept of home and family, but also a sharpening of the intuitive senses, as that is also what Cancer rules.
Mars opposite the moon
When the sun goes into its exact partile with Jupiter on April 11th the Capricorn moon is opposite Mars. This shows me that we may feel unsettled and like we want to be bigger and bigger and bigger, even as life feels as though maybe it has to pause, to some extent. We are potentially expanding from within at a huge rate, but it feels chaotic and somewhat burdensome until we can understand where it’s all taking us. The outside world may come with pressure and concern while things rearrange themselves; it may be difficult to understand the value of spiritual insights while we have responsibilities to carry out, but it’s possible the spiritual insights will come regardless. There are things we’re ready to learn, and they are quite emotional things; understanding of those things will serve us over time, and time will pass. We will have something to show for it, even if it seems like we won’t.

Astrological heads up for Friday, the 7th - Some intense emotional reactions potentially incoming, but we’ve got it! We’ve got it. <3
Moon ingress into Scorpio [[Exact at 11:30 PM on Thursday PST]]
The moon in Scorpio leaves behind sociable focus (from Libra) and heads into its more secretive nature. Rather than focusing so much on civility and compromise we can turn within and have a period of introspection. Scorpio’s focus is on things that are more subtle and less contrived, and intimacy and close bonds are the real temptation for us to mull over during this 2 and a half day period. Intuition can be heightened during Scorpio moons, or we can feel a rise in suspicion or weariness. Becoming too introverted or unwilling to open up is always a possibility during this transit. Overall it’s a good time to  look more deeply into things, and feel more deeply as well.
Moon opposite Mercury [[exact at 10:51 AM PST]]
Feelings and thoughts push against each other to gain our attention when the moon opposes Mercury. Mercury’s essence is what brings us capacity for understanding things as they really are, but there’s an aloofness to it. The moon’s struggle is to prompt an understanding of thoughts that trigger emotional insight, but it may not be a clean unfolding of these contradictory energies. We may have difficulty expressing how we feel on Friday, especially as the moon is in secretive Scorpio. Understanding how we feel can be even more confusing as lots of thoughts might come up that seem to trigger an emotional response. With Mercury being in Taurus we can feel pulled by everything outside of ourselves, while the moon continues to try to lure us inward. Balance between the internal and external might be important on this day.
Moon trine Mars [[Exact at around 11:41 AM PST]]
Feeling positive about accomplishments is something that can spring from this aspect. With the Scorpio moon trining Scorpio’s traditional ruler there’s an extra level of comfort that comes from moving through the day physically. We may feel a nice balance of energy and generally feel a propulsion through tasks and time seeming to fly by. With Mars being in Cancer there can be an exploration of pursuits surrounding the home, and a lot of busy activity around family - that’s increased with the moon in Scorpio promoting a focus on closer bonds versus social superfluousness.
Moon square Pluto [[Exact at around 11:30 PM PST on Thursday]]
This is an aspect that can get us stuck in our head, clouded by feelings that something bad may happen, or just unwilling to face certain more intense feelings. Pluto in a square asserts change, and with the moon in Scorpio we will be calling us to adapt, potentially. Themes of transformation, endings and release can come up during a moon/Pluto aspect. Maintaining a perspective of respect surrounding the mysterious ways in which fate functions can help us through some of the friction that may come up, causing us to feel a lack of emotional control on Friday.
Mercury maintains sextile with saturn
Mercury and Saturn have the ability to buoy us in the midst of some of the heavier energies coming through on Friday, as they are the closest tied to mundane reality. Our mind can keep a fortitude and can act as a clear channel for understanding the things that are important and worth prioritizing, and our sense of responsibility may not seem so overpowering. Productivity can be promising with this aspect, as well as combining Mars in trinng the moon. In general there is a physical stability, even if mentally and emotionally we may experience some intensity worth reflecting on.

It’s that time again: time for the astrology of relationships vs the self to manifest.
The full moon in Libra goes exact on April 5, at around 9:32 PM.
The Libra moon gives a reliance on others and can bring a sense of security that can only be fulfilled through support from those that we love and an experience of camaraderie. With the sun being in Aries we want to get along with others but also be recognized for the true strength of our character, and we don’t want to be told what to do!. There can be a major culmination of realizing who we are in our relationships, and how our relationships affect the path we are forging in life through conviction and determination. There can be themes of balancing out the internal and external, as well as balancing concerns regarding the receptivity that others have of our ideas and impusles - ensuring that we don’t go to extremes in compliant desires for approval or desires for power or independence. When we look at rulerships, the ruler of Libra, Venus, is in Taurus, conjunct Uranus. This can bring a theme of detaching from certain social situations or relationship roles.
Uranus always brings an urge to be unexpected, and can make deviation from the regular really appealing. With Uranus being an important player during the full moon we may feel a need to experience our inner wildness and the uncultivated elements of ourselves that we have been used to keeping hidden. Venus in Taurus is an energy of relishing what’s beautiful, but with the conjunction to Uranus we may find that certain things we once coveted feel quite stale. A need to change things up: either in the environment, in relationships or otherwise, may be pervading under the full moon.
The ruler of Aries is Mars, and Mars is traveling through Cancer. There’s a lot that needs to be processed emotionally before we can really understand the full scope of our power to move things. There are things from that past that threaten to get us stuck again, but if we practice patience and understanding regarding the inner self we can continue on, unstuck. Mars is Trining Saturn, which can help us find an outlet for angst, frustration or emotional uncertainty.
The sun is conjunct Jupiter when the moon goes full. Jupiter in Aries has been bringing us blessings in the realm of initiation of new ventures, new exciting prospects and the bravery to finally act on certain aspirations we’ve had for some time. Having it conjunct the sun is really giving us an opportunity to philosophically expand our understanding of the ego. We can feel justified in taking action to fulfill certain facets of what we believe to be our destiny. Jupiter brings great faith, so having it conjunct the sun on a full moon is incredibly auspicious. It’s important to remember to reel in some of the chaotic and high speed energies of excitement, though, as with Aries there’s always the possibility for recklessness.

Mercury goes into Taurus on April 3, at around 9:15 AM [[PST]]
The Mercury in Taurus transit can be a period for slowing down perspective; where Mercury in Aries may have been - in actuality - the absence of thought, Mercury in Taurus is a bit of a “Wait a minute” moment. Aries represents acting for the sake of acting and coming out the victor, while Taurus asks “Wait, what thing of value am I going to get out of this experience, in reality?” Taurus is an energy that does its best to organize 3D existence. While Mercury transits this sign we could focus more closely on things such as money, efficiency and what it is that can be relied on. It’s possible that we come up with new ways to manage our resources, and really feel a pull toward having a better plan in place for them. There can be themes that come up around patience, and waiting for news and details to come out (Taurus is slow moving and careful, which means some facets of communication and information could trickle more slowly or require some patience) Communication and social exchange becomes a thing where uncomfortable conversations feel more abrasive, and solid, consistent communication is greatly appreciated and can be a relief. Taurus really appreciates solid, reliable circumstances, and Mercury in Taurus manifests in that flakiness or lack of explanation for things can seem especially jarring.
During this transit our thinking can become more focused on the things that are right in front of our face, versus anything overly abstract or mysterious. With Taurus being Scorpio’s opposite it makes sense, with Scorpio being the sign that’s greatly focused on the mysterious, and things that need to be dug out of hiding. There’s nothing hidden when it comes to Taurus, and it’s a very simplistic and divulging energy. Taurus loves to pursue and experience comfort, which is another thing that can become greatly important during Mercury’s transit in Taurus. It’s interesting because at this time we also have Mars in Cancer, which also propels us to the safe, comfortable and familiar. We have two of the innermost planets influencing us to fixate on being comfortable, finding some form of security, and really being enveloped in safety on an internal and external level.

Astrological heads up for Wednesday, the 29th
Moon sextile Venus [[exact at around 9:49 AM PST]]
The moon in its home sign can be pretty chill, and when in a good aspect with Venus there’s an enhancement of comfort and a sense of being surrounded by pretty things. Venus is almost exactly conjunct with Uranus, which does create an unusual aura around possible environments, and it can create surprise situations that affect us emotionally, but not necessarily in a bad way. The Venus/moon sextile is pretty - especially as Venus represents beauty - we have an opportunity to interact with beauty and to appreciate it in a more sentimental sense on Wednesday.
Moon square Jupiter [[Exact at 4:33 PM PST]]
Jupiter in Aries is a little too in-your-face for the Cancer moon, which is an energy that’s really focused on the things that feed the soul and provide a sense of shelter from the world. Jupiter presses us to branch out emotionally, when in a square with the moon, but this can come at the expense of our own comfort at times. We may feel pulled out of our shell under this aspect, but we also could feel restless. Restlessness is often a result of moon/Jupiter squares, and that is doubled when we think of Aries energy. It’s important to get enough rest under this aspect, as cheesy as that may sound. Our boundaries can get pushed, and it can be easy to do things in excess.
Moon square Mercury [[Exact at 11:28 PM PST]]
Wednesday starts with the moon in a wide square with Mercury, that gets closer to partile as the day goes on. This is indicative of rushed thoughts, especially with Mercury still being in Aries, the sign of speed. We may feel somewhat intruded upon, with people asking multitudes of questions, or just simply asking for too much information from us. The tendency of Cancer to seek what’s more hidden and internal feels pushed by the sociable nature of Mercury in aggressive Aries. We may need to take time to cool off on this day, and really keep the bigger picture in mind - hard times always pass, and no negative emotion is ever permanent.
Venus almost in an exact conjunction with Uranus [[Exact on the 30th]]
As sweet and receptive Venus gets closer to one of the least emotionally-adept planets we may feel start to feel a desire to rebel. The fun loving side of Venus can be enhanced by Uranus, which could represent a wild time, or the potential for unexpected events to unfold in relationships and in connection to the enjoyment of a good time. Venus is Taurus-ruled and relates to money, and there could be some financial surprises that come up under this aspect, for good or for bad. Uranus is truly a wild card, so this could go either way. We may feel a heightened sense of our own uniqueness, as Uranus can represent what’s unorthodox or sticks out in its novelty.
