I have a lot of character ideas I tend to spit out on the reg and just wanted them in one place. Feel free to use them for your campaigns and let me know if you do!
If you ever want a good underdark/feydark warlock background and you love mushrooms, have I got the patron for you: Psilofyr. He's insane, nice enough, and is an archfey. He sometimes needs folks to go take care of the rebel versions of him that pop up and will give warlocks powers to do so
"Bully Hero" -- local kids that teamed up to protect the weaker children and in the process became a local legend. Also could be a good urchin background.
She has a soul coin, one she never used for much of anything. Devil that "lost" the carnival games was told that they, simply, didn't have a thing to offer. 'For now', the devil had said. But she was bard in the mists. There wasn't a thing she couldn't handle, at least until she couldn't.
If you're unhappy with the changes to the OGL, I highly recommend calling Wizards and expressing your disappointment. This will surely impact content creators as well as fans. Please don't let this go down without a fight! It's an open attack on creative people helping us do the thing we love.
I know people argue that elves should have the least diversity rather than the most sub-species/races because they're so long lived. I get that, makes total sense. But, here's the thing. I always saw them as being prone to mutation like the pokemon eevee. I guess that was not the natural jump a lot of people makes, but if you're not changing lore, it could be a good explanation for some campaigns.
A great old one that exists to help bring about a calamity developed a love for the plane they're meant to destroy over the eons. They imbue a capable person with power so that they might bring about their end or the end to the apocalypse they're meant to bring about.
Space cowboy's my version of this, but the general concept is someone from Sigil gets forced through a random portal that appears, as is regular in The City of Doors. They wind up where you want. You can plug in low level crime, multi-plane political intrigue involving the heir of a merchant guild, or just a hapless fellow that was in the wrong place at the wrong time and just wants to get home to his sick mum.
Welcome to Flavortown! People far and wide have been invited to partake in his Flavor Jubilee in honor of his first successful year as ruler of the land. Food and drink flow and the mood is festive. You and your compatriots have arrived in Flavor Country just in time for the festivities.
You find yourself in the principality of Garden. A green, seaside agricultural center with an heiress who’s a lot, but the the salads are to die for and the parties are fabulous.
Unfortunately, all is not well in the land of Flavor. An evil lord and his cronies seek to destroy the land of culinary delights with gross grilled cheese and bad hair. They must be stopped at all costs.
