The Rules:

Every twenty-four hours there will be another round. After every round, the ship in last place will be eliminated.

If there are multiple ships tying for last place, there will be a special elimination round. In these rounds, every ship in last place will be eliminated, even if all the ships have tied equally.

When there are only two ships remaining, they will face off against one another in a week-long poll to determine the victor.

If the ship that you consider the best isn't listed here, hit the 'the best polarizing ship is ___' option and reply to this post with the overlooked ship. The ship with the highest 'write-in' votes will be added to the next round. Unless the 'the best polarizing ship is ___' option is the least voted for, in which case it will be eliminated. Addendum to Rule 4: Only polarizing ships are allowed. Yes, I'm sure your OTP is awesome, but if there's no proof of it being polarizing then it unfortunately cannot be added to the poll.

I need everyone to know that the ship Götheborg, the world's largest ocean-going wooden sailing ship, answered a distress call the other day.

There should be a fanfic writing game called the showrunners challenge where someone writes a story and partway through someone else can play things like "actor leaves after 4000 more words" or "topic now too politically sensitive due to unforeseen world events" or "lost rights to that reference"

I know "60s housewives who invented slash fanfiction" has taken on a life of its own as a phrase, but Kirk/Spock didn't really exist until the 70s and THOSE WOMEN HAD JOBS. I began quilting in the 1990s. I have handquilted about 60 sci-fi quilts. It has been many years of trial and error. I was never very good at following quilting patterns. My favorite pattern is the disappearing nine patch. I use it a lot in my quilts. My blocks were never perfect. In fact , I’m most certain every quilt I have made has a mistake or two. There is nothing wrong with making mistakes, I look at the mistake as adding character and artistic deviations to my quilts. :) A quilt doesn’t have to be a complicated design . My first quilt was an appliqué Star Trek baby quilt. It was simple by quilting standards. I worked so hard on it. It took months to finish but I was incredibly proud. As I was learning to quilt, I secretly hoped to make something fancy and worthy of an art show one day. FYI, A little more than 30 years later, I have never entered any of my quilts into an art show. I quilt for me. I quilt to give one of a kind quilts to friends and family…and the occasional acquaintance on the internet. Maybe one day, one of my quilts will make it to outer space. How glorious would that be? Peace to you and yours.
