Elena’s Nightmare and the Mysterious Ship from Beyond the Stars

This is part one of “The Avalorian Chronicles” and is a split off from another series I just started, called “The Steamland Chronicles”. Unlike that series, this one will specifically focus on Avalor and Avalor alone. There will be some mentions of Steamland from Disenchantment, but only to give context. I am building up to an eventual confrontation, story by story, and I am thinking of having a total of ten stories in this series, but that could be expanded. As always, comments and suggestions, whether constructive criticism, improvements, or whatnot, are always welcome. This teen and up story will use characters from Elena of Avalor and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

Elenaomi Week Day 3

I have officially abandoned all attempts at following the schedule or sticking to the prompts. Anyway, here’s a Pacific Rim AU.

Elena was a pilot for the Latin American Jaeger defense program, who quit after a Kaiju attack gone wrong killed her copilot and little sister Isabel

Her cousin Esteban, who now runs the program, convinces her to rejoin. He has a plan to defeat the Kaiju for good by sealing the Breach at the bottom of the Pacific, where the Kaiju invade from

Elena meets Esteban’s protégé Naomi, who he rescued years ago during a Kaiju attack on California. She is a talented strategist but wants to be a Jaeger pilot

Elena clashes with the Argentinian pilots Victor and Carla, a father-daughter drift pair, but gets along well with Naomi. During training, they discover they are drift compatible

They test out Elena’s old Jaeger, Jaguar Radiance, but Elena’s emotional repression and Naomi’s stubbornness cause problems in the drift

Meanwhile, Kaiju scientist Mateo and his partner Gabe, a weapons engineer, drift with a Kaiju brain to study it and learn more about the Breach, connecting to the Kaiju hive mind

The connection attracts an especially strong Kaiju, which disables the Argentinean mech Arcane Marauder, injuring Carla

Elena and Naomi are sent out in Jaguar Radiance, killing the Kaiju after a long fight with the mech’s signature plasma cannon and Naomi’s addition, a razor whip

They coordinate to leave the head intact, giving Mateo and Gabe a more complete brain to study. With the new data, Esteban plans an attack on the Breach before the Kaiju become too strong to counter

The two mechs set out to destroy the Breach, Esteban working through an old feud with Victor to copilot Arcane Marauder

Attacked by multiple Kaiju near the Breach, Arcane Marauder sacrifices itself to clear a path for Jaguar Radiance, leaving its fate unclear as Jaguar Radiance breaks through

Both injured, Elena and Naomi eject in escape pods just in time as their bomb destroys the Breach. They embrace on the ocean surface, the start of something more

On a beach in Mexico, an escape pod from Arcane Marauder washes up…
