My hygiene has very little need for concern.”

“Perhaps you can make some use for it, though, you seem to be in need of a moisturizing cream more than I do.”

It seemed now that perhaps the ultimate miscalculation Alhaitham had made is just how much more monumentally annoying Kaveh would be without having had his key to go inside. Where were all of these suddenly appearing powers of observation when the naive blond was dealing with a shady saleswoman trying to con him out of his entire life? It seemed he may have to employ a new tactic.

“Last I checked my life had nothing to do with you so I can’t understand this sudden obsession you have over my schedule, Kaveh. Were you really missing me this much during the whole day we’ve spent apart after you’ve only just returned from the desert? Am I expected to be grateful or flattered by all of your sudden attention? Sorry, but we just don’t have that kind of relationship.”

Kaveh was quite observant, if you asked him. Despite his misdealing with a certain shady sales woman, more like conman if Kaveh had anything to say about it, he was known to pay explicit attention to those around him. If he ever needed to draw upon someone else’s experience and knowledge in order to better his own projects. Like asking Tighnari about what flowers best suited his latest piece - he had plenty of observational skills, he was just tactful enough not to say every rude thing that came to mind.

Unlike some people.

A scoff, “Last I checked, you’ve been sticking your nose into plenty of my business as soon as I moved in,” A cross of his arms, “But, don’t you divert the subject, Alhaitham, regardless of what status of relationship you seem to believe warrants knowing each other’s whereabouts, you’re still acting suspicious.” Though, Kaveh wasn’t being exactly forthright either. He could just tell Alhaitham that he, somehow, misplaced his key. But he didn’t want to give the other the satisfaction of holding that over him for the rest of forever. 

So instead of coming clean, his arms crossed over his chest once more, “Fine, if you don’t want to tell me what’s going on, then fine. How about I come with you to the cafe, hm?” He rather enjoyed the cafe, and frankly could use a bite to eat, even better if it was at Alhaitham’s expense.
