My very inquisitive, now 8 year old, has been asking more and more about our Irish background, how we became a republic (I kid you not) amongst many things. After I went through some of the history with him, I searched archives online of pinnacle moments in our history. This is from a black and white photo taken in 1973 in west Belfast by Colman Doyle, (and later recoloured by Rob Cross.)
