Hello, anon! You are the lucky winner of the “which ask do I answer where someone is asking how I’ve been doing” game!

(Seriously, I’ve gotten several of these and I just wanna let y’all know that I love you all so much for checking in on me.)

But as to how I’m doing, I’ve been busy being a mom! Everyone, meet MacKenzie:

She is two months old and absolutely the love of my life. Currently, she’s snuggled on my chest (we had our 2-month vaccines yesterday, so we’re feeling a little pucky), so I’m restricted to doing everything one-handed, but that doesn’t even bother me like it normally would.

So, yeah, I’ve been busy taking care of a newborn these past couple of months, which is why I’ve been absent. She’s starting to settle into a routine, which gives me a little bit more free time, so I’m looking forward to being around here, even if just a little bit.

(And I know it’s Mileven Week and I wish I could participate, but I just don’t have that kind of time, even though the desire is there. I’ll be cheering on from the sidelines, though!)

I've been ok, but between being really busy and also very pregnant (just over 5 weeks to go holy shit), I kinda haven't had a lot of time for really anything fun.

What time I do have, and when I have the freaking mental energy, I've been chipping away at that Mileven promise ring fic I started over a month ago and frustratingly haven't finished yet (though it's managed to creep up to just under 10k words thus far, so maybe it's a little more than chipping away at it lmao). I've also been reading a lot (novels, not fic, because it's easy for me to do while lying down and I'm all about that as baby girl has decided that her favorite fucking activity is burrowing into my pelvis like she's grinding away at my bones to make her bread and laying down is about the only thing that makes that manageable - how my hip bones are supposed to survive this, I have no clue).

Honestly, though, it's like my attention span and energy levels have left the building these days and I blame it entirely on pregnancy hormones giving me the mental capacity of a narcoleptic goldfish. Naturally, this will change once I actually give birth, but change how, I'm not sure yet. Hopefully if the husband unit and I can figure out a way to get a handful of hours of sleep most nights, I'll get some of my attention span back, but that feels overly optimistic and I'm not banking on anything until baby girl is actually here and we see how she does *~*being on the outside*~*.

But I very much miss being around here more often and wish I had the energy to do more fandomy things these days!
