Caspian terns (Hydroprogne caspia) among a flock of Ring-billed and Herring gulls. The terns are adept at fishing, diving into the water from heights to catch their prey, and when they surface the gulls mob them to try and steal their fish.

found this in the woods behind my school lol

ooooh a trillium! and the spotty leafs under it are baby trout lilies! so pretty! :D tysm for sharing!

Great Horned Owl (Bubo virginianus) nestling. GHOs are lazy and don’t build their own nests, instead staying year round and commandeering nests after their original owners fly south for the winter. This nest in particular was built by a Great Blue Heron.

leave it to my mother to weaponize a love language

she decided at some point my love language was being bought random shit (my love language has never at any point been gifts, let alone being given random garbage i don't want) and she thinks that means she can just throw garbage at me and i owe her gratitude/time/service because of it and she gets furious if i don't kowtow and act like i've been bestowed some priceless thing

like she literally just decided that she should be able to buy me at fucking walmart and acts like there's something wrong with me when i don't play along
