Moss graffiti - mix yogurt, water and live moss in a blender, then paint onto a wall. Moss will grow in the shape of whatever you painted. Just remember to spritz it with water every once in a while to keep it alive.
This is so unbelievably cool!

looking through tons of images for inspiration for accessory pieces.
loving the simplicity of the lines and negative with positive spaces.
Imagining what it could look like in metals is fun... love it.

Marie and I went to the MET on Saturday to do some research for our respective collections. It was such a beautiful day, and it had been so long since I have been able to take a trip there. Just walking around and taking it all in.
There is this quieted hush at museums that doesn't even have to be policed really, you are just so entranced by the art surrounding you, that you don't have the time to think out loud. It's very much an inverted and meditative experience that I have always loved.
So happy to be back in my city! :)

On Thursday I went on a White House tour with some family from out of town. It was a good time, sadly I didn’t get to meet Michelle or take any pictures (no cameras allowed).
Though I did leave amazed by some of the First Ladies official portraits, Grace Coolidge’s was particularly stunning. It lead me to wonder two things, 1. what would I wear in my portrait if I were First Lady (I’ll post on that later) and 2. Which First Ladies got it right?
I mean it’s not national security but what they wear in that portrait will grace the walls of the White House and history long after they’re gone, it’s important. I think the Ladies on this page did it best.

NYPL I'm loving summer here....
Spent three hours today at the Mid-Manhattan Library continuing research for my upcoming collection. Love how much they have available in the stacks at the library, the staff is very friendly and quite helpful with ideas to move you projects along.
Most interesting, were the available digital books available remotely! Found some great info that I could download and save directly for reference later. lovin' it.

Psst....do you that girl?
She is an event extraordinaire, a connoisseur of color and a traveler of distant lands. She’s seen seas the shades of blue and sands of desserts seldom traveled. Do you know this girl? I know that girl. How do you know that girl? I know that girl…because that WOMEN is me.
