Just watched all three Trolls movies and like they were better than I expected.

But I expected like auditory torture and to be catastrophically infuriated, so it's really not an achievement here that they surpassed my expectations.

I think I liked the third one more than the second one but I'm unsure which I thought was the least bad.

I'm still trying to process exactly how offended I am at the second one though

Okay, gotta say that, we are watching Knightriders and what a gem it is. Such a unique concept, wild that it’s by George Romero and like, the Stephen King cameo? Wild.

Ok its the greatest because you think "oh traveling renn faire jousters who ride motorcycles instead of horses how silly" and then its like this deep meditation on living your life on your terms and legacy and very anti cop and then you think "oh George Romero was a genius". Also Ed Harris is incredible in it and Tom Savini plays the stud hot boy which is wow.

Brightburn is basically what if Patrick Bateman was a twelve year old in rural Kansas.

So they made a 15 Cameras and it's actually really great. Very creative and interesting idea for a sequel, well executed, good acting. Loved the ending

I’ve seen posts with Muppets Terror with the muppet casting, what I want is a Wishbone the dog Terror from that one random PBS show where they had a dog play a part in all these classics like The Odyssey and Pride and Prejudice. It’s the Terror but one of the main characters is inexplicably a talking Jack Russell terrier. Which one? I’m open to ideas.

Just watched Censor and I'm a bit torn because the point it's making about censorship and the philosophy behind it is quite cogent and potent

But on the other hand it did delve pretty fucking solidly into some very ableist tropes while doing so.

Lighting and cinematography was baller as fuck tho.

If I had a nickel for every time I'd seen a movie with just the absolutely most horrible and offensive take on mental health, but that happened to cast an actor in the "crazy person" role who brought such high effort portrayal and pathos to their character it very nearly undid whatever the writer/director was trying to shit out of their mouths; I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice.

Okay what if a movie adaptation of Resident Evil 4, and it is like aggressively disconnected from the existing film canon and also deeply fantastical and silly and bizarre the entire time.

Then in the final act the movie is interrupted by like Chris Redfield and a few other characters as depicted in the films just finally having enough of Leon's bullshit and questioning his narrative.

Cut to a shot of everyone sitting around a campfire in the post apocalypse and Leon is there dressed like mad max but with perfectly coiffed hair getting all indignant and saying "hey, who's telling this story, you or me?"
