Yeah, whichever ones you want! I would personally recommend Pearl if you're starting with the current Season. She's great fun to watch and is probably one of the best builders out there. She's also doing a postal service thing, so she regularly interacts with a lot of the other Hermits, so you can get a basic feel for them and check them out! Most people don't watch all the Hermits and usually just choose a few to follow each season. If you want to stay caught up on everyone else, there's a Youtube Channel called the Hermitcraft Recap that goes over everything that's happened in the past week.

REAL LIFE BRAINROT TIME

Starting off, yes, I know it's a joke Season. I'm sure lots of people will discard it when discussing Life Series Lore™ either because they don't think it belongs or it's just too messy trying to explain it away. That's perfectly valid. However, I have a counterpoint: Fuck You Cleo Win.

First off, the groupings?? Dogwarts, DesertDuo, Gem&Joel, and the long-awaited return of Gaslight-Gatekeep-Girlboss? Fucking stunning. My life expectancy has increased by 1,000 years. So many silly group interactions too; the Macerena, the Hokey Cokey, various hugs and kisses, everyone sucking at combat. Absolutely stellar.

Jimmy Solidarity is finally fighting back against the canary allegations and he's winning!! 7th place? Absolute king, we love that for him.

And of course, CLEO WIN HELL YEAH

I have been hoping for this since Last Life, and I am so happy. And despite the whole thing only being three hours, there's still some fun story-type stuff for her? Mainly in their friendship with Pearl and Scott. They met up early on, gave each other flowers, danced together. They all swore loyalty to the GGG alliance, 'Us three til the end.' They danced more, they hung out, they fought together. Then Cleo stabs Pearl in the back, literally. Gem and Martyn are still alive, they could've hunted them down. But instead, Pearl falls first. Then once the others are gone too, Cleo and Scott are the only ones left. There's no hesitation in their fighting, but there's also no malice; they spin and struggle and laugh as Scott falls too. Cleo feels no remorse, and her allies feel no betrayal. Because for once they know that everything is going to be okay.

In summary: Cleo stays on top, this season is canon, fight me.

having thoughts about the idea of THK being so incredibly attached to their nail. Inseparable. Inconsolable without it. Fighting to stay with it. It’s the only thing that’s ever been really theirs and they can’t hardly stand having anyone else touch it. So much angst potential, especially considering how they had used it to try and kill themself in the temple. Their last remaining connection to their father. The only other thing within the temple that didn’t hurt them.

To some extent, yes. It's not the main goal of the series, no one's really 'playing a character', but there's usually at least one war or big event that most people get involved with each Season. For example, Season 8 ended much earlier than usual so that the server could move to a newer version of Minecraft. So they turned it into an event where the moon crashed into the server, and they all had to escape and get to the next world.

Some Hermits do more lore than others. Rendog is probably the most known for his stories, since he's a big fan of the dramatic, though people like Grian are known for starting prank wars that quickly escalate to absurd scales.

Most of these stories aren't even planned. In the last season, there was a competition to see who could get the most diamonds. After it was over, everyone had so many diamonds that the economy crashed, so someone made himself King and took in all the diamonds, building a quest-system to redistribute them. He then went mad with power, a resistance formed, and it all ended with a big event raiding his vault to take back the diamonds.

Point is, everyone just has fun with it and goes with the flow.

Sure! It's a Minecraft server, almost as old as Minecraft itself. There are currently 27 members, though most of them weren't there since the beginning. There are no mods and minimal addons, though they occasionally make custom item textures.

Hermitcraft is split into 'Seasons'. Every time all the Hermits feel like their projects are done or at a good stopping point, they tidy up the server, make it available to the public for download, and move on to a new Minecraft world and start from scratch. We are currently on Season 10.

All the hermits are incredibly talented builders, and they all do content creation for a living, so it's very common for them to build enormous, highly detailed bases. We're talking 'creating entire biomes from nothing so that their base can have the right vibe' and 'building an entirely different game in Minecraft with redstone circuitry' sort of stuff.

The server is sort of PG. None of the Hermits swear in their videos, and very rarely on stream, but most Hermits are more than willing to make dirty jokes. And while the builds take a lot of time, they're usually turned into timelapses. The actual content mostly comes from either interactions between the different Hermits or people getting involved in solo shenanigans.

There's a really strong sense of community to the server, I've honestly never seen another one like it. It's all great fun, I'd really recommend it!

It's 2031, and Hermitcraft Season 15 has just started.

DocM77 has created a machine that adds a new dimension. Zero mods, no resource packs, just redstone and glitches. He is using Netherite blocks for his redstone circuits.

JimmySolidarity joined two seasons ago, and has died first every time. He is very careful this season, but other Hermits kill him first on purpose.

TangoTek has built Decked Out 4 in the End. It is roughly four times the size of the main island, and the dragon has been captured and sealed in an obsidian box so that it will make a cool sound effect in one specific room.

SMajor joined five days ago, and he has already been in a fan-favourite duo with half the server. His Ao3 tag has quadrupled in size, and his tumblr tag is full of art vaguely shipping him with just about anyone with a face.

Pearl has been a landscaper, a janitor, a postmaster, an accountant, a bus driver, and a librarian. Running out of public service jobs, she has started showing up at people's houses in real life with teas and coffees. No one's sure how she gets there.

Etho's tissue box has finally disintegrated, and everyone is excitedly recommending him mic stands. He is trying to hide the fact that he has put an exact copy of the box in its place already.

Zombie Cleo has become so adept at manipulating armor stands that they can perfectly recreate literally anything. Including things that by all rights should not exist. New viewers occasionally complain about lovecraftian nightmares and mental issues after seeing them. Cleo and their older viewers laugh like it's an inside joke.
