Hi, it's me, the person who said she was considering skipping Engage cause she hated the character designs. I caved and bought the game and I have to say...

It's pretty damn good

I am still not too taken with the art style, but I'm really enjoying the game so far! The characters are pretty charming, the story is enjoyable, the voice actors are killing it and the gameplay is PHENOMENAL. I wasn't sure about it cause I thought they'd take a fates kind of approach to the story, and even though it's not the most exciting or deep story ever it knows what it's trying to do and does it well. The humorous moments are also done pretty well, they're not cringey like I was expecting and it's all just a lot of fun!
