i finished my main @interwebsweek fic like a whole week after i meant to :)))))))) here it is:

Summary:

Miles has a goddamn problem, and no one seems to care.

He tells Ganke that he grew three whole inches in the past two weeks, and his friend only congratulates him on finally hitting a growth spurt before Miles loses him to his coding homework again. He has to try three more times to get Ganke’s attention long enough for Miles to roll his eyes at him. (Sure, growing is nice, but three inches in half a month can’t possibly be normal, right?)

He tells Sam that he’s been sticking to things accidentally, and Sam just snickers at him. “You better get ready for the origin story, Morales,” he replies. (Not helpful.)

Miles doesn’t even bother with America and Kate, because for the past few days, they’ve been completely absorbed with the newest mystery plaguing Midtown Tech.

Which teacher is dating Mr. Parker?

He wishes he could do something, tangibly, to help. He’s there for Ned in all the ways he can be, and his mother only accepts one form of kindness: company. So he tries to come over more often. They’ve made it a thing: she’ll cook dinner and her and the boys will eat, and then they walk downtown and look at all the fancy shop’s windows.

It makes him sad. To be honest, being here makes him sad, in a bittersweet way. This, to him, is like a second home, and he loves being here and loves the love the both of them have shown him. But it’s all he can think about, sometimes, how tirelessly Ms. Leeds works, how he sees that same determinedness in Ned, and how he wishes they, both, didn’t know struggle to mean survival.

He wants so badly to scream. He wants so badly to be pained, to be sad, to cry, but instead all he sees is red. All he breathes is ret hot anger at a titan who he used to be sure couldn’t even exist at all.

He remembers how he ran to Peter’s apartment after that first New York attack, all those years ago. He remembers the look in Peter’s eyes that meant their perception of reality had changed forever.

The urge to, somehow, fly into space, to whatever planet Thanos had destroyed, and to make him pay for what he’s done courses throughout his body. He wants to see blood. He wants to see Peter.

Ever since, well, everything, the world ending, people being brought back to life, Peter being betrayed by Mysterio, so on and so forth, Ned has noticed that whenever he leaves the Parker apartment, he always feels like he’s being followed.

Of course, he was concerned at first, until he noticed the familiar twhip of the web shooter he’s trained his ear to hear anywhere.

It’s giddy and fun, the two of them looking so much like the kids they are– free even if for a moment from the heavy cloud of grief that Ben Parker had seen cast a shadow over Peter.

“But Peter,” Ned says. “We could totally find ghosts this year.”

Peter, hanging from the top bunk, just rolls his eyes. He’s been doing that a lot lately, Ned thinks. Not rolling his eyes. The hanging thing. He’s pretty sure it’s because of the spider—thing. Peter might not notice it, but Ned definitely does. It puts him at just the right height for forehead kisses, something Ned both does and does not want to try.

Holy shit, Ned’s dating a superhero. Rad.

Wait, no, he had a point. Something-Peter-ghosts-superhero—oh yeah! “Listen,” he says emphatically, because Peter has got to hear this. “We go somewhere haunted, right? We walk around, then BAM! You can find ghosts with your spidey-sense!”

“I’m pretty sure ghosts aren’t real.”
