Are the next chapters 100% will be released on 2024?

How many chapters/videos are left?

Our goal is still 2024, but it honestly depends on the production schedule. We can be really speedy, and a lot is already written, but I have kinda been hit with a new hyperfixation and Undertale fandom burnout, and Liz also got bit with the brainrot. We have not forgotten IF! I'm just in a place where I'm really inspired for my Persona fic and it's been a nice creative refresher.

Getting deep into Persona brainrot has made me ponder something really silly. And that is... Is Inverted Fate to its original timeline what Eternal Punishment is to Innocent Sin? I'm still going through P2EP stuff, but sometimes the brainrot makes you think about your own work. I've also seen IF compared to post-scratch Homestuck. Anyway, it's more just shared tropes, I think, but I felt like sharing a silly thought. Now I'm fighting the urge to draw Chara dressed up like EP Tatsuya and Flowey with a scary bag on his head. I shall ruminate on this the next time I feel artistic.

Is there a release date, or any kind of forecast about when is the next chapter coming?

Sorry, but no. I genuinely have no idea. I'll post when there's something worthwhile to report on that front. A lot of scripts are done, and barring writing the last 2 - 3 parts, there's not a lot for me to work on, and my energy's kinda elsewhere. That's not to say IF is dead, but there just isn't really anything to show or any release dates to give.

Why did Undyne say her Neutral Route dialogue during her death instead of her Genocide Route's? Wouldn't Flowey have shared his "kill or be killed" philosophy in at least one of his No Mercy runs? Because if so, Undyne would quickly deduce that he isn't killing just for fun, but because he genuinely believes this is the "real" meaning of the world and that this is how things "should" work.

Mostly for the vibes and to reflect Flowey's mindset and how little he cared for Undyne even at her most powerful. Keep in mind that the Rift areas are highly subjective and showing the more disturbing Undyne death dialogue would shake them more than her going down with a smile. And the thing is, he was doing it for fun at that point. He started killing people because he wanted to see what happened. He outright says as much in his monologue.

While Inverted Fate won't have the funny murder run, I do have a lot of thoughts on it. Here's a video I just dropped on the subject!

Undertale's No Mercy Run is vastly misunderstood, as the fandom fixates so much on hyping up the Sans battle that many of the route's brilliant deconstructive elements fall by the wayside. In this video, I go in-depth about the route and the way it functions as a deconstruction of RPG tropes, an exploration of how we as players relate to video games, how it sets up a mirror for the players through Flowey, and also just break down the cool elements and writing in each section of the route in addition to those hyped up moments.

Just a friendly reminder that if you don't enjoy how I characterize certain characters (e.g. Chara) in Inverted Fate, there are many other fanworks to explore. :u I've heard all the arguments before. I don't really care. I favor nuance and complexity as it makes for more enriching narratives. There's a lot of awful shit going on in the world, and life's too short for me to waste time bickering about characterization with random internet strangers. So, we have artwork for Maddie's ghost and dummy forms. But what about their feline form? When will you do a doodle for her newest body? Also, why are they associated with the color red?

I haven't had a lot of energy for art as it is, and I'm currently more focused on my Persona fic project due to hyperfixation hitting me hard. So I don't know when I'll have the energy to do more character art, tbh. Also I picked the colors 'cause they looked good. (Also Mad Mew Mew uses she pronouns, just fyi.)

Hey, have you ever found it weird how the fandom designs mettatons and mew mews ghost forms? Like, for example:

Napstablook looks like a ghost. A ghost with large black eyes and white irises. He has hands but normally he looks like a white sheet ghost. Simple design. However, many, many fan designs of a ghost mettatons stylised him to be a pink ghost with his bang over his eye. This was back when people thought he was a female who transitioned, but even after that misconception cleared up, mettaton was ghost design (which underswap popularised) stuck. Heck many designs to this day still do this where mettaton is extremely stylised in AUs or canon interpretations, trying to be even more derivative.

Mew mew didn’t exactly have as large as a problem but before the switch release, people would design her as this brown angry ghost, sometimes with a patchwork pattern or stitches… before she even got her body. Even after switch she now is designed with pigtails or just plain light pink. She had much more unique fan designs but the point stands.

Why do you think the fandom suddenly assumed all ghosts are wildly unique or different in design when our one example is pretty “plain”. If napstablook was possessing, say, a boom box instead of just being a ghost his design would likely be related when the fandom latched onto the idea. This isn’t exactly a jab or complaint about the unique ghost designs, but considering napstablook is the template, wouldn’t it make more sense that most ghosts (or at least the blook family) look like him by 99.9%?

Counterpoint: Sans and Papyrus are brothers and look like this.

I don't think there's anything wrong with diversifying ghost designs given there are many types of cartoon ghosts and cousins are less directly related. Not all ghosts look like bedsheets. Some have wispy tails. Some are spooky shadows or lil' orbs. (Also, Napstablook uses they/them.)
