Hi! I have a question, I hope it’s not disrespectful I’m just curious. So I saw your art of Astarion holding his baby and well he looks like Monthas so I was wondering if Monthas carried him. Like is he fully transitioned and if so did they adopt a baby that just happened to look like Monthas.

Don’t worry! You’re not stupid <:). Monthas did in fact carry their son Nepheie. The details of it is something even I haven’t fully decided on. But I regardless of how, through magic or just through other ways, Monthas did carry their child

I always wondered if undead creatures that do not need to breathe, like vampires, still have to breathe to talk. Because the way speaking works is the lungs push air through the vocal cords to create sound. So if a vampire does not need to breathe and therefore doesn’t breath but still speaks does that mean they only ever take a breath to speak. Unless their bodies produce sound in other ways. Like whatever magical force that is keeping them alive also works as its own vocal cords to create sound. And another thing. If vampires drink does that mean they pee? Do their kidneys work to filter that blood out? Does their stomach work to extract the nutrients from the blood? Or does it just disappear inside them. When they breathe out (if they choose to breathe) would they still produce carbon dioxide if there is no blood flow to make that exchange in the lungs? It always made me wonder where the line is drawn between what function of the undead’s body is still working and what is being produced by some sort of magical force because they are corpses and technically all of their functions should have stopped.

#11 what would your Tav consider to be their greatest flaw? Is this accurate?

Monthas’ considers his own anger as his greatest flaw. How quick he is to piss off or to rile up. He thinks so badly of the times he’s “lashed out” or gotten angry at people snapping at them. And as a barbarian unfortunately it’s kinda his whole thing. He wishes he could stop. Just relax and not fly off the handle. But what he doesn’t take in for account is anytime he has gotten mad or snapped it was for a reason. He has never snapped at an innocent never raised a hand or hurt anyone undeserving. He is an incredibly chill person regardless of what he thinks of himself. The only times he gets angry is if someone intends to hurt him or people he cares about. So not incredibly accurate

Ooooo! Thank you for asking! Yes it’s still open. Monthas’ greatest fear is vulnerability. Specifically he is terrified of being vulnerable and peaking up for his own comforts and issues to those he cares about because he is afraid if he opens up he’ll be rejected or looked down upon for them. He has a history of his wants and issues being dismissed and mocked so he’s terrified of being open like that now.

Thank you for the ask! Monthas didn’t have any real job. He was just kind of a wanderer. He didn’t really need money because he’d just live off the land but when he did he’d take any odd job to help someone. Just anything really whatever he could find to get some gold. Sometimes he’d join adventuring parties but they never ended well. He’d also just loot enemies after a battle so that’s how he’d get most of the money he owns.

Do you think Astarion at some point while traveling would sunbathe but forget sunburns exist because it’s been 200 years and that he as a pale man can get sunburnt real easy and thinks he’s losing the tadpoles protection from the sun when he starts to feel burning only for someone to tell him “no dear you’re sunburnt” ….. cause I do.

7, What circumstances led to your Tav becoming their Class/Subclass?

(Also. After seeing your AWESOME art, is your Tav always close to naked? Is he a nudist? I support him but I am So Curious haha)

thank you so much!! Monthas had a lot of anger he repressed growing up. He wasn’t allowed to show any emotion at all. His mother was the type to scream at him if he showed any sign of negative emotion because she saw it as a personal slight at her parenting. She was a very “I’ll give you something to cry about” or “how dare you be sad when I give you everything” kind of mother. He wasn’t allowed to be angry so it just bubbled deep inside of him. Until it all exploded on the night he killed her. When he went on his own he was just this little ball of rage. Over time he realized he kinda hated being so angry and mean. He didn’t want to be bitter and he didn’t like the way he felt after a confrontation. He shifted to a more healthy way of getting it out through combat and shifting his focus into battle rage to protect people instead of lashing out at strangers. Thus barbarian. As for the almost nude thing. Well. He’s not a nudist we wears clothes most of the time it’s just that Monthas has a lot of sensory issues and gets very overstimulated by clothes. His camp clothes is just his underwear. It’s just how he de-stimulizes himself.
