I was reading the Attack of the Clone's script for *research* purposes, and it's been a while since I've seen the full movie but:
OBI-WAN: You look tired. ANAKIN: I don't sleep well, anymore. OBI-WAN: Because of your mother? ANAKIN: I don't know why I keep dreaming About her now. I haven't seen her since I was little. OBI-WAN: Dreams pass in time. ANAKIN: I'd rather dream of Padmé. Just Being around her again is... intoxicating. OBI-WAN: Mind your thoughts, Anakin, they betray you. You've made a commitment to the Jedi order... a commitment not easily broken... and don't forget she's a politician. They're not to be trusted.
Literally I will never be able to take the "Obi-Wan is so mean he didn't let Anakin go find his mother" argument seriously ever again. On a purely factual level, there's not a single indication Anakin told Obi-Wan his dreams showed him his mother was in danger or that he thought they were dreams from the Force. Anakin says himself that he doesn't know why he's dreaming of her, which makes Obiwan's "Dreams pass in time," so incredibly reasonable.
Wait wait wait let me update the language to the *pretentious voice* modern parlance. It'll be like a Shakespere "translation." Here we go:
Obi-Wan: you look tired Anakin: I haven't been sleeping well Obi-Wan: Cuz of your dreams? Anakin: Yeah I've been randomly having dreams about my mom all of a sudden. Obi-Wan: They'll probably go away if you wait a bit. Brains are weird like that sometimes. …
The only evidence Obi-Wan might have to the danger point is that the dreams are disrupting Anakin's sleep. But Obiwan is the one to bring up the dreams, in context of them disrupting Anakin's sleep. If Anakin was looking for an opening, that was it.
But way more importantly to me currently is the fact that Anakin transitions out of talking about his mother by going "I'd rather dream of Padmé. Just Being around her again is... intoxicating."
Wtf anakin??? Who says that??? Let alone to their brother-dad???
He seriously goes from talking about his dreams of his mother to how his crush that he's known for a couple days total at this point is really hot, and people expect me to believe that Obi-Wan was supposed to divine from this conversation that they needed to immediately run halfway across the galaxy to prevent imminent disaster?????
Let me continue my translation:
… Anakin: I'd rather dream about having sex with Padmé. She's so hot and pretty and nice Obi-Wan: Anakin remember how the beliefs you've been committed to for the past ten years are maybe important to you? Also politicians are generally corrupt, we eat the rich in this household.
This is a fanfic type miscommunication plot at best, except for some reason people act like Anakin isn't being about as clear as mud.

A Poorly Thought Out Plan
A group of teenagers try to steal from the Jedi Temple. Written for StarWars100 - Prompt: "Hero" and Adventuring April - Prompt: d12: 2 - "peek/peak"
Read on AO3
A group of Coruscanti teenagers stood outside and gazed up at the Jedi Temple.
The teenagers, however, were not particularly interested in the beauty or craftsmanship of the architecture, nor were they listening much to the Temple Guard serving as their tour guide. They were, after all, here on a mission.
It wasn’t, fortunately, a particularly devious mission. In fact, it was a fairly harmless one, and not particularly clever, though they failed to realize this.
See, these teenagers, ears full of rumors, had come into the knowledge of – to their minds – the greatest work of the Jedi. It was said, that in addition to diplomacy and all manner of things that these teenagers did not care about, Jedi studied and had achieved the peak of success in the production of alcoholic beverages.
In order to obtain this legendary substance, that was said to far exceed the beer and liquor they could find anywhere else, the teenagers had devised their plan. Entry into the Temple itself was easy; the Jedi had plenty of areas open to the public, and offered regular tours. Locating the alcohol was a different matter, but they reasoned that it would likely be close to the food.
So as the tour approached the kitchens, one of the group became a hero to the others, taking on the sacrificial role of distracting their guide as the others slipped into the kitchens.
Unfortunately for them, they had just taken a peek into a handful of cabinets before a very unamused Temple Guard caught them and escorted them out – not just of the kitchens, but the Temple entirely.
It might be said that they had failed to account for the Jedi’s Force-guided intuition, but with intentions as unsubtle and predictable as theirs, the Force was not truly needed here.
My headcanon is that this was the typical thing the Jedi Temple guards had to deal with pre-war.

Truth in Contradictions
Obi-Wan joins the Force, as he has prepared to do. Written for Gen Prompt Bingo - Prompt: "Death" and StarWars100 - Prompt: "Galaxy" and Adventuring April - Prompt: d10: 9 - "beyond the veil"
Read on AO3
To say Obi-Wan faced his end without fear was not quite accurate, as he knew full well that it was not truly his end, merely a change in his existence.
Even if it had been his end, though, he would have faced it without fear just the same. Though he had trained to retain his individuality and consciousness past death, the thought of fully joining the Force eventually did not trouble him, as it was the cycle all living beings followed.
But for now, he still had a duty to fulfill, so he embraced his training as Vader’s blade swept towards him, and let go of everything holding his being to the galaxy as he had known it.
It was an experience as mundane as stepping through a doorway. It was an all-encompassing transformation unlike anything he had ever experienced. Contradictions were inevitable truths, when he had become a contradiction himself, a deathless ghost, a lifeless immortal.
For all of his training for this, Obi-Wan did not think he could have ever anticipated the reality of it. But he did not dwell on it, as Luke needed him right now.
So Obi-Wan spoke, and let the Force carry his voice.

The participation of the Jedi on Geonosis would prove to be an omen of what the Clone Wars would bring for the guardians of peace and justice. The battle showed what the Jedi were and also what they weren’t. The Jedi were compassionate beings who didn’t hesitate to rescue a fellow Jedi in need and who did anything they could to protect the Galactic Republic. But the Jedi had evolved into diplomats and keepers of the peace instead of hardened battlefield commanders. The outcome of the Battle of Geonosis would be disastrous for the Jedi Order, as about 170 of the 200 Jedi would perish on Geonosis’ reddish soil.

Teaching methods on Kamino change drastically after the Jedi Order starts to supervise the clones' training, which leads to a sort of generational/cultural shift: Clones of the first generation were exposed to considerably more brutal conditioning methods and objectification in their training than clones that would finish their training during the war.
Additionally, the Jedi encourage clone cadets to embrace, value, and insist on their self-worth, as demonstrated by, for example, Yoda and Plo Koon in the early episodes.
Hence, we can observe this stark contrast between Rex and Fives when confronted with a situation that requires them to stand up for themselves, as most prominently exemplified during the Umbara Arc.
Throughout the show we see multiple instances of Rex's struggle with prioritizing his loyalty for the Republic over his and his brothers' needs, while Fives is willing to die for what he believes is right.
Rex's individuality seems more defined by external means, constructed through his (forced) service as an extension of the Republic. Fives's individuality seems more defined by intrinsic means, constructed through his (forced) service as an addition to the Republic.
I like the idea that this difference between Rex and Fives might reflect (it's just me speculating) the effect of the Jedis' philosophy and influence on the clones' training.

Padawan
Dooku misspeaks. Written for StarWars100 - Prompt: "Padawan"
Inspired by this post. Read on AO3
The title slips out, a careless mistake from old habits that Dooku should have done better to purge himself of.
He feels the way it strikes at her, feels the complicated and vulnerable emotions it invokes before she swiftly buries it under fury. But for all that Ventress embraces her rage over the... insult, she hesitates. She should attempt to strike him, with words if not sabers, but she doesn’t.
He should reprimand her for that weakness, but he, too, hesitates. After all, he was the one who misspoke.
They each turn away, and do not speak of it further.

It's my headcanon that there's not a galactic-wide holonet. That infrastructure just isn't there. Individual planets like coruscant probably have a holonet, sure, and some core worlds are connected to each other, but for a lot of the galaxy, most of the galaxy even, the average person just doesn't have access to a galactic equivalent of Earth's internet.

Seek Balance
What does it mean when the Jedi speak of balance in the Force? Written for Fandom Empire Prompt Tables 2024 - Prompt: "to balance"
Read on AO3
Seek balance in yourself, the Jedi teach. The path is not narrow, but the sides of it are steep, and it is easy to fall if you are not mindful of your step. Ill winds will distract you, push you, pull you towards the edge, winds of greed and fear and despair. You must guard yourself against these winds if you hope to maintain your balance, and know that the voices they carry are untrustworthy. They whisper of shortcuts, they whisper of turning their currents to serve your whims, but these are all lies. These winds will only ever carry you into the darkness. So let them pass around you, and remain unmoved by them as you continue down your path.
Seek balance in the galaxy, the Jedi teach. A near infinite number of moving parts, all distinct, all one. A single gear slipping out of place can damage millions more. But you can set it back into place, or help the pieces fill in around it to restore harmony. It is not an easy task – each piece with its own needs and wants and fears, and these will conflict with themselves and with each other. A complete solution may not be possible or visible. You, after all, are only one moving part among the infinite. But balance the pieces that surround you, and others will follow, and even as the machine wears with time and friction, it will continue to function as long as there are people who will maintain it.
Seek balance between yourself and the galaxy, the Jedi teach. You cannot balance the galaxy if you are unbalanced. Neither can you wait for perfect balance in yourself to begin to seek balance in the galaxy. It is a continuous, lifelong process.
Trust the Force to guide you.
And that brings me to the end of this Prompt Tables event! It certainly got me writing a lot more than I had been! But while I've signed up for some other events (and am even running some over the next couple months), I think it'll be at a slower pace. Keeping up with this pace is not something I can keep doing. Thank you so much for reading!

Misgivings
Rex is conflicted about the unofficial orders he's been given. Written for Fandom Empire Prompt Tables 2024 - Prompt: "to contact"
Read on AO3
Rex knew that it was against regulations for General Skywalker to use military equipment to contact Senator Amidala for personal reasons. It was far too great of a security risk, connecting to a potentially insecure comm on the other end, not to mention that the Senator shouldn’t, strictly speaking, be privy to the details of ongoing military engagements. And Rex knew General Skywalker knew this too, or else he wouldn’t have been so insistent on hiding it and having Rex cover for him.
Rex wasn’t exactly comfortable with it, but what was he supposed to do? General Skywalker was his commanding officer, and it wasn’t as though anyone was being directly harmed. It was just...risky. But General Skywalker took a lot of risks by nature, and it always worked out for him. Why should this be different?
So Rex swallowed his misgivings, and stood guard as he’d been ordered.

A New Path
After Jay takes Gee's hand, he's given a warm meal, and an offer. Written for Fandom Empire Prompt Tables 2024 - Prompt: "to offer" and Adventuring April - Prompt: d6: 3 - "addition"
“Tell you what,” the Hutt who’d introduced himself as Gee said, “I’ve got an offer to make you.”
Jay looked up from the empty plate he’d been staring at. He didn’t sense any hostility or danger from Gee but then again, he hadn’t sensed any from – but he didn’t know what to expect, either. Gee had been kind, so far, not pressing Jay for answers or driving him away. If he had recognized the robes and braid and broken lightsaber, he hadn’t said a word about it, only taking Jay’s hand and giving him a warm meal.
“But first, you have any musical talent?” Gee asked. Jay blinked at him, thrown off by the unexpected question.
“I...I can sing,” he answered. He’d always liked to sing. He used to teach the troopers his favorite songs.
“Perfect!” Gee said. “I’m not much of a singer, myself, but it takes a team, doesn’t it...and you’re probably wondering what I’m talking about, aren’t you?”
Jay nodded uncertainly.

Patchwork
Luke searches for information about the Jedi. Written for Fandom Empire Prompt Tables 2024 - Prompt: "to wonder"
Read on AO3
Whenever he had the opportunity, Luke would go searching for records on the Jedi.
It wasn’t an easy task; the Empire had done its best to suppress all traces of the Jedi. But it had never completely succeeded, and Luke managed to find bits and pieces, slowly forming a patchwork idea of the Jedi of the Republic.
He wondered, sometimes, how accurate a picture he truly had. Much of what he could find wasn’t from the Jedi themselves, only others who had recorded their own experiences with them.
Luke wished he had asked Ben more when he’d had the chance.
