🍫When Your Magick Brownie Game Is Strong AF 🍫 Annnnddddd, it's #VeganAF and #Freegan 🤤 You read right! I was able to get all these ingredients and the giggle bush with my freegan ways 🎉 Let me show you a quick break down: Flour: mispick from a store Cocoa: free from a friend Sea Salt: mispick from a store Coconut Oil: mispick from a store Baking Powder: free from a family member Vanilla Extract: mispick from a store Sugar: mispick from a store Weed: trade with a friend What is a "mispick"? This simply means the wrong item is picked at the warehouse instead of the right item when shipped off to the store. But it can also mean, the wrong quantity was picked or a pick was damaged or mislabeled. Unfourtunatly, what this means for a store, because they cannot add it to their inventory, the item either gets thrown out, donated to charity, or allowed to be distributed to employees. However, keep in mind some items cannot be donated due to red tape laws on saftey. So how does one collect these mispicked items? The first obvious answer is to know someone in the grocery store that is a manager who handles the mispicks. Or even an employee who recieves the mispick. They can gift you items that did not make the donation cut. It is a great way to rescue food before it makes it to the dumpster! This is what I do ☺ The second less glamorous answer is to dumpster dive 🤽 This is surrounded by controversy due to its seemingly taboo nature. However, when done in the right manner (right when they chuck items into the bin) it can produce food for yourself or family that is perfectly safe to eat. 🌱This Is What A $1500 Egg Looks Like🌱 1st egg of the season, I am so proud of my little girls 💞 But legit, we were $1500 in with the 10 chickens before we got our first egg 😆 And it was worth every penny! Annnndddd, we are about to drop more for a larger free range space to keep them happy. Peep was responsible for this beautiful speckled olive green egg 😍 Y'all remember Sam-I-Am, in Dr. Seuss’s tale of Green Eggs and Ham? Sam-I-Am desperately tries to convince several characters in the book the tastiness of Green Eggs. But no one wanted to try them and thought they were gross! They must of all been Vegans 😜🤣 J/K 😉 I love my Vegan friends, y'all know that! Did you know that in order to achieve an olive green egg color, the hen’s artistic reproductive system begins with a white egg. In fact, all eggs start white before the hen's body adds delicate touches of color. It then goes from white to a delicate blue egg within her system. Her body then paints a touch of brown on top yielding a very eggstraordinary green egg. The darker the brown top coat becomes, the darker the green egg. Nature is freaking awesome! Speckled eggshells occur when the egg rotates during the pigmenting stage. These eggs end up rotating too slowly in her egg painting process, which means speckles! And btw, eggs are NOT periods. Birds are not mamma don’t & have a uterus, which means they also don't have a uterine lining. Don't shame human female periods with this argument. Breeding and crossing chickens is exactly like breeding and crossing cannabis cultivars. Chickens like cannabis plants, are sun worshippers 🌞 and follow the patterns of the sun for egg laying/flowering times. Both start with grow lights indoors for specific time periods then move outside during the coming of the early spring season. There are as many chicken breeds, crosses, hybrids, and designer chickens as there are strains or cultivars! 🌱Positive Mental Attitude🌱"When Bad Brains exploded onto Washington, D.C.’s nascent punk scene in 1979, they immediately set themselves apart; not only because they were African American in a largely white community, but because they were singing about “P.M.A.,” or “Positive Mental Attitude.” It was a stark contrast to the already established nihilism of punk rock, which was dominated by white male anger and discontent. Bad Brains preached positivity and inclusiveness and lived their message. Bassist Darryl Jenifer told GQ that one of his proudest moments was when a former skinhead approached him and said, “‘I used to be a racist, and a skinhead and an asshole, and ever since I saw your band I’m different.’” Jenifer told GQ, “That alone was my platinum record.” The Bad Brains adopted it from an American author named Napoleon Hill. Hill wrote the book Think and Grow Rich in 1937 which first introduced the Positive Mental Attitude concept. Napoleon went on to write several other books including Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude.
