Flirting
Polnareff X Reader

~~~
Jean-Pierre Polnareff was a worldly sort of man. He wasn't above the pleasures of this earth, and never tried to pretend any different. He pointedly and relentlessly sought revenge, and he could never turn down a request from a beautiful woman.
That was the same when he first laid eyes on you, of course, and the flirtatious remarks and innuendos flew for a short while. When he found that you were the new member of their traveling entourage, though, he swore that he wouldn't get tied up. Sure, he'd still flirt from time to time, but nothing like before. He never wanted to let on just how much power you still held over him. It was all for the sake of the group.
Though his reasons were sound if you knew them, the way he seemed so distant now drove you crazy. You'd watch him falter for any random woman on the street, but you never got that treatment anymore. Honestly, it really only got to you since you were head over heels for him. You longed for his unabashed flirting. The flirting that he was showering onto some random passerby just now.
"Ah, ma chérie," Polnareff swooned, placing a kiss on the woman's hand. You rolled your eyes. "Your body... You are magnifique!" He was really laying it on thick, clutching at his heart dramatically. She wasn't even that pretty.
Having had enough, you grab hold of the back of his shirt and yank. You knock him off balance just enough to catch his attention. He looks at you with sad eyes, pleading you to not drag him away, but you can't stand to watch him flounder over this woman any further. You give him another sharp tug. "Jean-Pierre," you say with the harshness of a parent scolding a child, "We have things to be doing. Come on."
He relents and allows you to pull him away. You drag him along behind you, not wanting to look back at him. Seeing you in such a huff caused a smirk to cross his lips. "So what is it we're in such a hurry to do?" he asks. He's just trying to push your buttons and you know it.
"I'm sure Jotaro or Kakyoin needs us... Or, uh, something," you say, angry with yourself that you hadn't thought of a good lie before this. "Besides, if I had to watch you swoon over that hag any longer I think I'd have thrown up."
Polnareff's eyes light up. He loosens from your grip and quickens his pace until he's walking right beside you. He tries to put his face in front of yours and capture your attention, but you refuse to make eye contact. "So that's the issue, mademoiselle?"
"Usually," you grumble, "It's disgusting to watch you drivel at the feet of every woman you see." Polnareff steps directly in front of you and stops, forcing you to finally look up at him. "What?!" You raise your hands in an exasperated motion.
"If I didn't know any better," he says, some kind of devious twinkle in his eye, "I'd think you were jealous."
You scoff and turn away to try and hide your now blushing cheeks. "As if," you say. Polnareff leans over, trying to get in your face again, but you stop him by quickly walking off.
"Hey, wait up!" he says, trying to catch up again. Damn, he thinks, I thought I was onto something...
Eventually, you track down the rest of the group and spend the remainder of the day, quite uneventfully, running around with them. Before long, it's time to find a place for the night.
Joseph manages to lead the way to a mid-range hotel and pays the fee for three rooms for the night. "Alright," he says, "I got three rooms." He holds up the three keys. "How are we splitting up?"
Kakyoin speaks up first. "I'll room with Jotaro." Joseph nods, throwing them one of the keys. The two quickly head to their room, thankful to be able to have a place to rest.
"I think," Avdol speaks up, "you and I should share a room again, Joseph." He looks at you with an expression like he's in on a joke. He knows about your little crush, doesn't he? Bastard...
Joseph nods as he tosses a key to Polnareff. "That leaves you two. Any objections?"
"I think I should be allowed my own room," you whine.
"We can't take risks like that anymore, [Y/N]," Joseph scolds. "You've seen what kinds of trouble we end up in staying in rooms alone. Especially Polnareff... And I got rooms with two beds, anyway. Stop complaining."
Knowing that it would be futile to argue, you concede. You turn to face Polnareff. "What number room are we in?"
"Looks like 413," he replies, reading the tag hanging from the key.
"Sounds like we'll be right under you," Joseph replies, showing off the key tag reading 313. "So don't be too loud." He hadn't meant for it to come across like that, but his words put a pink tint across both your and Polnareff's faces. Avdol holds in a laugh. Joseph turns to walk towards his room.
"Goodnight, you two," Avdol says with a smile, following behind Joseph.
"Alright," Polnareff says, "Fourth floor. Let's go." He slings his bag over his shoulder. You go to grab your own things, but he beats you to it. "I'll carry your stuff, ma chérie."
Your heart skips at the pet name, but you force yourself to roll your eyes. "Must be off your game today, Pol," you say with a chuckle. His eyes go wide for just a second when he hears the nickname come from your lips. "You used that one already," you chide.
"But not on you, belle." He bats his eyelashes at you. A wide smile crosses his face. "See, I've got more."
You turn away from him and start walking towards the stairs. "Let's get to our room. I'm exhausted." You take a moment to try and calm your pounding heart. Polnareff follows behind quickly, all of your stuff in tow.
Soon, you're standing at the door of your room. "Hey," you say, holding a hand out to Polnareff, "Can I have the key? You have your hands full already." He nods and holds the key out to you, holding it in the same hand as his pack. You grab it from his hand, fingers brushing against his, and quickly unlock the door. You walk in, ready to flop onto your bed, when you see something you weren't expecting.
"I thought the old man got us a room with two beds," you say, crossing your arms. You don't know if it was a mistake, fate, or a lie Joseph told to shut you up, but the room you stood in had only one queen size bed in its center.
Polnareff just shrugs, dropping your things onto the floor. "Looks big enough for both of us. I don't see the issue."
You contemplate going back to the front desk and changing rooms, but your feet ache at the idea. You were just too tired to care. Besides... Maybe sleeping right next to Polnareff wouldn't be so bad after all.
You yawn, and Polnareff follows suit. "Alright, I'm going to get ready for bed," you say. You rummage through your bag for the stuff you'd need and head toward the bathroom.
"I'm going to step out on the balcony for a bit," Polnareff says, pointing. You nod, a little surprised at how fancy the room was. "Come get me if you need me." He smiles at you.
You enter the bathroom and look at yourself in the mirror. You looked half dead; the bags under your eyes had been accumulating over the duration of the journey. Sleep was usually so hard to come by. In the corner of your eye, you see something you hadn't expected.
There was a massive, heart shaped tub in the corner of the bathroom. Somehow, you and Polnareff had ended up in the hotel's honeymoon suite. This had to be intentional. Someone had set you two up. You shake the thought of cozying up with Polnareff in the warm waters of the large tub out of your mind and begin brushing your teeth. You complete your nightly routine, and change into your pajamas before stepping out of the bathroom. As you bend down to pack up your things, you see Polnareff on the balcony.
He's looking over the bright city and smoking a cigarette to calm his nerves. He didn't feel like himself. Jean-Pierre Polnareff wasn't one to get nervous when in the presence of a beautiful woman, but somehow you tongue tied him. You made his heart hammer in his chest, and your attention made him feel like he was floating. He didn't want to admit it, but the thought of sleeping in the same bed as you terrified him. He couldn't help but worry that he'd do something that would make you feel awkward around him. He had no idea how to act when spending the night with the person he'd secretly fallen in love with. The wood of the balcony creaked behind him, pulling him from his thoughts.
"The city is beautiful," you say, standing next to Polnareff and leaning on the handrail. He hums in agreement and nods in response. He nudges your arm with his elbow. You turn to him and see him offering up his open pack of cigarettes.
"No thank you," you say and smile at him. "Just brushed my teeth." He tucks it back into his pocket and leans up against the handrail as well. His shoulder brushes up against yours.
His mind is racing. You had set him up perfectly for a pick up line and he had missed it. What was he thinking?! He took a deep breath and tried to make it work anyway. He shifts to look over at you. "The view is gorgeous," he says softly, intently looking at you and you alone. You glance at him after feeling his weight shift. You see him looking at you. Wait. He's looking at you and talking about the view. You can't stop the dark blush that rushes across your face. "Seeing you in the moonlight," he says gently, feeling a bit more confident, "is almost magic. You look magnifique, darling."
Your heart races. He sounds so genuine, much more than when he usually flirts. You try and joke to make yourself less anxious. "That's another repeat, Pol," you say, laughing nervously.
He laughs softly and smiles. "But I really meant it this time," he says. He puts his hand on top of yours. You freeze, almost unable to breathe with his hand on yours. "Let's get to bed, yeah?" he says, giving your hand a gentle squeeze. You nod and follow him inside, fingers intertwined with his.
You plop down on to the bed first and push back the blankets, trying to crawl under them. Polnareff lags behind, pulling off his shirt and pants. You blush seeing him just in his boxers, but can't stop yourself from giggling at the stereotypical heart print on them.
"What?!" he says exasperatedly. He let his nerves get the best of him, still anxious about the whole sleeping situation. He worried that you were about to laugh him off entirely and snub him completely.
"Of course you'd wear boxers like that!" you say, still giggling.
"What's wrong with them?" he says, his tone more playful as he starts to relax. He smiles at your continued laughter, now knowing you were just joking. "I like hearts," he explains, "And I happen to look amazing in pink." He strikes a little pose, hand on his hip and a sultry look on his face.
It wasn't long before you were both laughing loudly. He took advantage of the low stress moment to hop into bed next to you. You sat by each other for a moment, both transfixed on how your shoulders rubbed together just the slightest bit. The laughter died down into silence, but the tension had nearly fully dissipated for the moment.
"Alright," you say, before being interrupted by a yawn, "I'm tired. How are we doing this?"
Polnareff yawns in response. "How about you get comfortable," he proposes, "and I'll just fit in wherever." He smiles at you, reaching out to squeeze your hand gently. "You look like you need the rest, so don't worry about me."
You squeeze his hand back. "Thank you, Jean," you say gently. A shaky smile crosses his lips upon hearing his first name come out of your lips for the first time for a reason other than scolding him. His mind races with a billion thoughts, but he stays quiet.
Your hand slips away from his as you lay down, trying as hard as possible to get comfortable on the hotel mattress. You end up laying on your side facing outward with your back to Polnareff. "Is this okay?" you ask, turning your head to look at him over your shoulder.
"Are you comfortable?" he asks. His voice is gentle and quiet, very unlike his usual self. You nod. "Then it's perfect," he confirms before starting to adjust himself as well. He lays on his side as well, facing you. For a moment he seriously considers wrapping his arms around you and squeezing you tight, but he chickens out. He lays one arm lazily overtop of your waist.
"Jean?" you say sleepily.
Afraid he'd overstepped, he quickly pulls his arm back. "Sorry," he mumbles. He's about to roll over and face the other way completely when you continue, your words stopping him.
"Oh," you were disappointed at him pulling his arm away and your voice made that a little clearer than you'd hoped, "I was just going to say goodnight." You take a deep breath, and the sad sigh of your exhale further gives away your protests to the lack of contact.
"Oh," he replies. He puts his arm where it had been, this time using it to pull you a little closer. You blush at the contact. "Goodnight, [Y/N]."
You’ll Never Be Alone Again (Polnareff x Reader)
Anonymous asked: would it b possible to request some angsty polnareff stuff 😳😳😳✌🏼❤️
I would like to formally thank you for sending me this request. I’ve had this idea for a couple months now and you finally inspired me to write it out! I really hope you enjoy it, it was certainly very fun to write. Thanks again!!
(I’m also gonna add a link to a Polnareff fanfiction I did back in April that fits this request too if you want to check it out!)
It’s been a pretty busy day today. Ridiculously so, in fact. You and your fellow crusaders arrived in Cairo, Iggy went off on his own and defeated a stand user, and Kakyoin made his long-anticipated return from the hospital. And maybe most importantly - you now know where Dio is.
anonymous asked: Can I ask for la squadra with a singer, musician an artist s/o, but they are unsure of their talent? >< have a nice day! ❤️
@twinkletwinklelittlestarss asked:  Heyy, I’m sorry If I bother you but can I ask  headcanons with la squadra (separately), with an s/o who confesses to them through a song? Like she is in a talent show and sings something for them (but not explicitly telling them that the song is for them but they understand anyway), she plays electric guitar ( La squadra’s members are in the crowd watching them). TYSM, have a nice day ❤️ ( and I’m sorry if it’s too tricky ><)
Since these are pretty similar requests for the same characters I decided to combine them into one! Hope you guys enjoy, these were fun to write~ Headcanons under the cut!!
Blinking City Lights (Bruno x Reader)
@queen-of-pearlx asked: Hey,it’s my first time doing a request on tumblr, so I hope I don’t do nothing wrong. Could you write a Bruno x reader (ff or hcs,your choice) where he gets back at home really late because of work and finds his fem s/o still awake because she is really stressed too and she suffers from insomnia when nervous, so he helps her to get ready for bed and then they comfort each other? Sorry if it’s too long and I hope you’re comfortable with it. Have a good day/night💜💗
Of course!! Thanks for this request, and thank you!
---
You've gotten somewhat used to late nights without Bruno in the past few months. Work has been incredibly busy for him, and while you still have your own business to attend to, it never seems to come close to the amount of time that Bruno dedicates to his career. Like most nights, you get home, make yourself some tea, and sit down on the couch. Your apartment is beautiful, but without Bruno it sort of feels like it swallows you up. The walls seem closer than usual as you lean forward in your seat.
You had met Bruno when the mob was not new to him, but being a leader was. In fact, the first time you had ever met him was at Libeccio, a restaurant that the two of you now frequent; he had been with his two new employees, Pannacotta Fugo and Leone Abbacchio, when you stepped into the restaurant and met his somewhat frazzled gaze from across the room. You wound up having dinner with the three of them, and by the end of the night it was clear to you that you wanted to get to know the mysterious and oddly friendly Bruno Bucciarati a little better. After a few more dates, he divulged some of his life to you: he was involved in the mafia, which didn't come as too much of a surprise, and he was the new leader of a group of brand-new recruits. While you could tell that he was skilled at what he did, it was also pretty clear that he wasn't very confident in his ability to lead others. You can't quite remember exactly what you had said when he told you that he was nervous about being in charge of the lives of these recruits, but it was definitely something assuring. You could tell he had it in him.
It didn't take very long for Bruno to prove that. Over the next year or so, his team grew, and you've had the privilege of watching Bruno transform into a confident, powerful leader. He's always been vehement that you stay as far away from the mob as possible, so you haven't met any of his subordinates, but from the way he talks about them you can tell they love him. It's hard not to love Bruno, you've discovered; he makes you feel so comfortable, with his warm gaze and gentle voice.
That's why these past few months have been particularly hard on you. You suffer from insomnia that's worsened by feelings of anxiety, and not knowing whether Bruno is stuck at work filing papers or out risking his life doesn't help matters. You hold the mug in your hands close to your chest and you sigh, momentarily comforted by its warmth. You don't talk about your fears very often with Bruno, though you're sure he wouldn't mind, but right now you want nothing more than to wrap him up in your arms and hold him, away from the danger of of his work and anything that could cause him harm.
You stand up, too nervous to sit still, and you walk to the window. It looks down on the city of Naples, all blinking lights and fast cars speeding down the highways. It feels nice to take in such a large and busy city with a single glance. Wherever Bruno is you're sure he's fine.
But that doesn't quell the nagging thought that pulses at the forefront of your mind. Sometimes, on these lonely late nights, you wonder what happens when he leaves every morning. You've noticed the scars before; you've never actually seen him hurt, but you can't help but take note of the faded wounds spread across his body. You don't ask him about them, but you spend lots of time thinking about them - who did that to him? Had it been a close fight? Had he nearly been killed? You quickly drink some tea and turn away from the window, shutting your eyes. Wherever he is he's completely fine -
You jump and nearly drop the mug when the door opens. "I'm sorry!" Bruno says, eyes wide in surprise, and he quickly walks to your and takes the tea from your hands. "I didn't mean to startle you," he tells you, and he presses a kiss to your forehead.
You laugh breathlessly, leaning into his touch. "Don't worry about it."
When you part, Bruno looks at you and instantly notes your expression. "I'm sorry for being so late," he says softly, and when you start to shake your head he cuts you off. "No, I can see that you were worried. But you'll be happy to know that today was relatively uneventful - just sorting out the logistics of a mission later this week."
"Well that's good." You follow Bruno to the kitchen and watch as he sets your tea down and pours himself a glass of water. "How's everyone on the team?"
"They're fine. Fugo's been pissed off about something this week but he won't tell me what." Bruno smiles a little, looking up to meet your eyes. "I'm sure he'll talk eventually. Oh, and that Mista kid seems alright! I think you would like him, he's a funny guy."
"I bet I would like all of them," you say, and Bruno nods. You know you can't meet them, but you like to imagine that you'd all get along well. You haven't seen Abbacchio and Fugo since that dinner at Libeccio, but they seemed like good people. That's probably why they gravitated towards Bruno.
Bruno downs the rest of his water and sets down the glass. "Do you want to go to bed?" he asks, and you nod. Now that you're calmer, exhaustion is finally kicking in. "I'm sorry for worrying you," he says quietly as you follow him to the bedroom.
"Don't be sorry," you respond, reaching out and taking his hand gently in yours. "It's not your fault." He turns back and smiles at you, and you can feel the warmth of his love for you even through that single expression. You return the smile and head to the bathroom to wash up.
Once you're all finished, you trade places with Bruno and throw on your pajamas. Just having him with you, knowing that he's safe, has made you feel so much better. You love him so, so much, and you hope that he knows it. You get into bed and pull the blankets over yourself, bundling up and resting your head on your pillows. You wonder how many other people in Naples will be sleeping beside the love of their life tonight.
You hear Bruno enter the room and you feel him slide into bed next to you. You can feel his soft breaths on your neck, and you can't hold back your grateful smile. You turn around, meeting Bruno's surprised gaze, and you tell him, "I love you."
He's startled for a moment before the feeling fades and he's left with a smile, just as emotional, on his own face. "I love you too," he says, wrapping his arms around you. Your head rests against his neck as he holds you, and you can feel his voice as he speaks. "I love you so much." He kisses your head, holding you even closer, and you sigh. You hear him whisper one last thing: a small "thank you," before he quickly drifts off. Sleep comes easily to you now, in the arms of the man you love, and you finally rest in Bruno's embrace.
Fluffy Okuyasu Headcanons
Hello, could I get some fluffy Okuyasu headcannons? I feel like the wholesome little boi doesn't get enough attention from the fanfiction community 😔 -Okuyasu simp
Of course!! I love Okuyasu a lot, he was my favorite from part 4 for a very long time. And I agree, he deserves endless praise and recognition!
-----
-Before he met you, Okuyasu never really understood the feeling of being in love. Sure, he'd harbored crushes and he found lots of people cute, but when you show up in Morioh, he falls utterly head over heels. There's something about your personality that he adores, and from the moment he introduces himself to you he's determined to win you over.
-Doing that isn't too difficult. It doesn't take long for you to realize that you reciprocate those feelings, thanks to Okuyasu's endless friendliness and humor. You're the one who confesses first, to Okuyasu's shock and delight, and he immediately pours his heart out and tells you how he's felt for the past few months that he's known you. The pure sweetness and genuine love in his words nearly makes you melt, and you punctuate the moment by planting a kiss on Okuyasu's cheek. He instantly goes bright red and, after a moment of shock, leans in and presses a shy kiss to your lips.
-Dating Okuyasu is like a dream. There isn't a moment where he isn't completely in love with you. One of his favorite things to do with you is play video games; often, he'll head over to your place and play against you in racing games until the early hours of the morning. He's very competitive when it comes to games, and that doesn't change when he's challenging you. You're a fair match for his skill, though, so you usually end up tying. Okuyasu tells himself that he won't let you win, but he does on occasion, just to see you smile and hear you laugh in victory. It never fails to make his heart flutter in his chest.
-Okuyasu always wants to hold your hand. Whether in public or in private, he always loves to have his hand entwined in yours. He truly loves the feeling of closeness that it brings. Honestly, he just loves anything that makes him feel connected to you. Sometimes he wonders if it was a fluke that he lucked out and ended up with someone as wonderful as you, but hearing you say a casual "love you" as you head to your house after a night of hanging out always pushes that thought from his mind. He's positive that you're perfect, and that he's always going to love you.
-Something else that he really enjoys doing with you is cooking! He's a big admirer of Tonio Trussardi, the local culinary genius, and after some begging he managed to get a hold of some of Tonio's easier recipes. You and Okuyasu spend many afternoons trying (and often failing) to recreate a Tonio dish, and even if you mess up horribly somewhere along the way, you both enjoy eating the meal you've made together. Okuyasu will always hold on to the sound of your laughter when you realize you've forgotten an ingredient, or you got the measurements all wrong.
-When Yoshikage Kira's presence becomes known to the stand users of Morioh, Okuyasu's immediate instinct is to try to protect you. You're a fellow stand user, so you're equipped to deal with enemy stand battles, but Okuyasu is terrified that something might go wrong and he could lose you, just like that. Still, he's confident in your abilities, so he tries to keep his protectiveness to a minimum.
-These feelings are flipped on their head during the final battle with Kira. You, Josuke, and Okuyasu do your very best to look our for each other and be careful during the fight, but when Okuyasu is hit suddenly by Kira's Stray Cat, you're horrified. Despite protests from Hayato and taunting from Kira, you drag Okuyasu to safety and kneel down beside him. Despite knowing that you should be helping Josuke, you can't bring yourself to leave Okuyasu's side. You sob as you reach out and try to staunch the bleeding from his deep wound, but everything you try seems useless. Finally, in a last-ditch move, you just reach down and take his hand in yours. You know how much he likes holding your hand, and you pray that he can somehow feel how much you need him.
-When he opens his eyes and takes a sharp breath in, you instantly let go of his hand and wrap your arms tightly around his shoulders. "Hey," he manages to say, his voice tired and raspy. "I'm still here." As tears stream down your face, you kiss him, again and again. You have so much you want to say, but you can't - you have to get back to Josuke and finish this.
-After Kira has been killed and Reimi Sugimoto's soul is freed, it takes a while for you and Okuyasu to fall back into some semblance of a routine. You often remember the feeling of holding Okuyasu, lifeless, in your arms as you heard Josuke fight for his life a mere few feet away. It's a horrifying memory, but having your big group of friends makes dealing with your feelings a lot easier. Eventually and Okuyasu get back to playing video games and butchering Tonio's recipes, and through it all, you're always holding hands.
Fluffy Okuyasu Headcanons
Hello, could I get some fluffy Okuyasu headcannons? I feel like the wholesome little boi doesn't get enough attention from the fanfiction community 😔 -Okuyasu simp
Of course!! I love Okuyasu a lot, he was my favorite from part 4 for a very long time. And I agree, he deserves endless praise and recognition!
-----
-Before he met you, Okuyasu never really understood the feeling of being in love. Sure, he'd harbored crushes and he found lots of people cute, but when you show up in Morioh, he falls utterly head over heels. There's something about your personality that he adores, and from the moment he introduces himself to you he's determined to win you over.
-Doing that isn't too difficult. It doesn't take long for you to realize that you reciprocate those feelings, thanks to Okuyasu's endless friendliness and humor. You're the one who confesses first, to Okuyasu's shock and delight, and he immediately pours his heart out and tells you how he's felt for the past few months that he's known you. The pure sweetness and genuine love in his words nearly makes you melt, and you punctuate the moment by planting a kiss on Okuyasu's cheek. He instantly goes bright red and, after a moment of shock, leans in and presses a shy kiss to your lips.
-Dating Okuyasu is like a dream. There isn't a moment where he isn't completely in love with you. One of his favorite things to do with you is play video games; often, he'll head over to your place and play against you in racing games until the early hours of the morning. He's very competitive when it comes to games, and that doesn't change when he's challenging you. You're a fair match for his skill, though, so you usually end up tying. Okuyasu tells himself that he won't let you win, but he does on occasion, just to see you smile and hear you laugh in victory. It never fails to make his heart flutter in his chest.
-Okuyasu always wants to hold your hand. Whether in public or in private, he always loves to have his hand entwined in yours. He truly loves the feeling of closeness that it brings. Honestly, he just loves anything that makes him feel connected to you. Sometimes he wonders if it was a fluke that he lucked out and ended up with someone as wonderful as you, but hearing you say a casual "love you" as you head to your house after a night of hanging out always pushes that thought from his mind. (Bruno, Abbacchio, Doppio, Gyro) Oneshots
Hi!! My sister is in the hospital right now and she's a massive Jojo fan, so I'm hoping to ask for some either fics or headcanons for the characters abbachio, gyro, Bruno, and doppio? I think I've spelt those right. Thank you!
Yes of course!! I really hope she’s doing alright, and I hope you are too!!
Bruno
It's late in the evening when Bruno gets home after a long day of work. When he unlocks the door, you jump up from your seat in the kitchen and meet him at the doorway. "Hi, Bruno," you say, helping him remove his long coat and walking with him into the house. "How was your day?"
"Well..." He furrows his brow. "It was alright. Busy, but alright. Giorno has been growing exponentially; I have a feeling he may take my position sometime soon."
"Really?" As you hang up Bruno's coat, you turn to look at him. "He's that good?"
"He's a natural leader. I'd be glad to be replaced by him." With a sigh, Bruno takes a seat at the kitchen table. "Could you make some tea, (Y/N)?"
"Sure." As you fill up the kettle, you watch Bruno rest his cheek against his hand. "Why are you so tired?"
He breathes a little laugh and looks down at the table. "Work has been getting harder. The job's aren't too taxing, not at all, but I just get worried sometimes."
You walk over to the table and pull out a chair. You take a seat and place your hand over Bruno's, resting it against his cheek. "It's not me, is it?" you ask softly, frowning. "I've told you - you don't have to worry about me."
"I - " he starts, but his voice falters. "I can't help it," he says, smiling a little bitterly. "I never wanted to involve you in my life. It'll always be too dangerous for you, and I love you far too much to want you in trouble."
"I'm not scared enough of them to leave you, Bruno," you whisper, leaning in and ghosting your lips over his. "I'd follow you to the ends of the Earth."
You feel him smile against your lips, and he kisses you with everything he has. "Then I'll take you there," he replies breathlessly, hand leaving his face to rest on your hip. He rests his forehead against yours and looks deep into your eyes. "Everywhere I go we'll go together. I love you, and I want to be with you always."
"Bruno, I - " You grin, and he smiles widely as well. You run your fingers through his short black hair and sigh, shutting your eyes. "I love you so - "
The whistle of the tea kettle surprises both of you, and you jump before bursting into peals of laughter. Bruno laughs with you, and you're happy to see such a lighthearted look on his face. "I'll get that," you say between giggles, and you slowly pull your hands back and stand up.
Once the tea is made, you and Bruno sit down together on the couch in your quaint living room. You flip on the television and start browsing the channels; once you find a particularly sweet old movie, you set down the remote and take a sip of your tea. Bruno watches you silently; there's a quiet beauty in everything you do, and it's intoxicating to him.
The two of you finish your tea, and as the movie winds to a close, you rest your head on Bruno's shoulder. The warmth of his body and the soft sound of his breath lulls you to sleep.
Bruno looks down at you, careful not to disturb you as he tilts his head. There's a peaceful smile on your face even in slumber, and he leans down and presses a sweet kiss to the crown of your head. "I love you," he whispers, and he hopes you can feel how much he means it. He'd do truly anything for you.
-----
Abbacchio
"So? Do you want to go or not?"
You find yourself standing before your teammate Leone Abbacchio, and you're utterly stunned. He's just asked you on a date - tonight - and he's waiting rather impatiently for your answer. "Well..." you start, the confusion in your voice clear. "Sure."
"Good. I'll pick you up at eight." He stares you down for one more moment and then turns on his heel, walking out the door of the Libeccio.
You're left completely blindsided by what just happened. Abbacchio - the irritable, displeased, and all around negative member of your team - just asked you out to dinner. You would be lying if you said you weren't excited (you've always found him handsome and a bit intriguing), but you're mostly just shocked. He's never expressed that kind of interest in you before.
You head back to your place and start to get ready. As you're getting dressed, you replay Abbacchio's little proposal from earlier. He had seemed almost annoyed about the whole affair - had someone put him up to it? You huff out a laugh as you throw on your shoes; Abbacchio wouldn't take any bet that forfeits his pride. Once you're all ready, you head outside and watch for Abbacchio.
Perfectly on time, he drives up to the curb in a sleek car. "Hey," he calls loudly through the window. You wave and hop in, buckling your seatbelt as he drives away.
The ride is mostly silent. You glance over at Abbacchio as he drives, but he doesn't tear his gaze away from the road. Though you're not speaking, there isn't an uncomfortable moment, and you're honestly excited for this date.
The restaurant is one of the nicer places in the area. "Have you been here before?" you ask Abbacchio as he gets out of the car. "I've never been, but I've heard it's great."
"It's alright," he replies, his voice low. "I've only been here twice."
"You know what they say," you say with a little grin, "third time's the charm!"
Abbacchio actually smiles at that, holding back a little laugh, and you consider that a great victory. You follow him into the restaurant, and you're taken to a beautifully lit table near the back of the room.
Before you can sit, Abbacchio casually pulls your chair out for you. It's the most nonchalant act of chivalry you think you've ever seen, and you thank him before taking a seat.
You're both quiet for a while before the server arrives and gets your drink orders. Finally, Abbacchio speaks. "You look nice tonight," he comments matter-of-factly. You smile and thank him, and he just nods his head.
"You look nice too," you say, and you mean it completely. Honestly, he always looks nice. His long silver hair is always perfectly maintained, and tonight he's wearing a black dress shirt and pressed black pants. He looks great.
"Thanks." A little more silence transpires, but your server arrives to break up the tension. After placing your order, you lean back in your chair and gaze at Abbacchio. You're not really sure of what to say, so you figure you should just speak what's on your mind.
"So what was the reason for this date?" you ask, grinning when Abbacchio blinks in mild surprise. "Anything in particular?"
He recovers and shrugs. "I've always found you interesting." You weren't expecting to hear that. You watch him with raised eyebrows as he speaks. "I wanted to get to know you better, because I honestly like you a lot. Is that alright?"
It takes you a couple seconds to actually register the question. "Is that - yeah! Yeah, of course - that's why we're here right now." You smile warmly at him from across the table, and he returns the gesture as well as he can.
"I'm glad." The two of you chat for a while before the food arrives, and then you chat some more. You're honestly so engrossed in your conversation that you hardly eat.
When the check arrives, Abbacchio picks it up and sighs. "Unfortunate that tonight had to end so soon," he mutters, signing the bill. "I had a great time, (Y/N). Would you want to do this again sometime?"
"Yes!" Your answer is immediate, and Abbacchio nearly laughs at how happy you sound. "Yeah, that would be amazing. I had a wonderful time too."
You head outside, and as you get into the passenger's seat, Abbacchio gently places his hand on your leg. "Thank you for this," he says, as genuine as he's ever been to you. "I hope we can get to know each other better."
You smile, feeling utterly content, and you lean over and give Abbacchio a quick kiss on the cheek. His face goes red, but his smile doesn't waver. "I would really love that, (Y/N)."
And together, you both drive into the night.
-----
Doppio
The sun shines down brightly on you as you hop out of a little car, quickly adjusting your shirt before running around to the driver's side. "We're here!" the driver calls, and you grin as Vinegar Doppio opens the door and joins you outside.
"I heard it wasn't too crowded - it's the best-kept secret in Italy." You laugh at that and follow Doppio down the street a bit. "I'm so glad you were free today, (Y/N)!" he says brightly, leaning over and pressing a quick kiss to your cheek. "I missed you."
You giggle, reaching down and lacing your fingers in his. "I missed you too. It's been lonely with you away for work."
"Let's not talk about that - we're together now, so who cares?" You laugh and nod in agreement as Doppio pulls you over to the little ice cream place you're visiting, and like he said, the line is nearly empty. "See, I told you! Hardly anyone even knows this place exists."
As you both step into line, the other man in line turns around and glances at you. He has bright blue hair - which actually looks a bit like ice cream - and red glasses. He stares at Doppio and it seems like he's about to speak, but before he can, an ice cream cone is handed his way.
He grabs it and shuffles off, and you and Doppio move up to order your ice cream. "I'll have strawberry, please!" Doppio says, voice as pleasant as ever, and you watch the way he smiles as he speaks. You've been dating him for a while now, and you really adore him. He's so easygoing, and he makes even the most mundane things fun.
You get your favorite flavor, and after a short wait, your ice cream is prepared. You take Doppio's free hand again and walk with him to the park across from the shop, swinging your hands back and forth. "We're so lucky," he comments as he takes a seat on a bench overlooking the grassy field. "It's such a nice day!"
"The weather decided to smile down on us today," you say, grinning as you sit beside him. The two of you eat your ice cream in relative silence - the only sound shared between the two of you is Doppio loudly slurping on his cone and your soft laughter in response. It really feels amazing, just being able to comfortably spend time with someone you love so much.
After a while, you've both eaten your ice cream, and now you find yourselves looking out at the grassy plain. "I love you," Doppio says softly from beside you. You turn to him, eyes wide, and he just gives you a content, relaxed smile. "You're perfect, (Y/N)."
You grin, reaching over and wrapping your arms around him. "I love you too," you murmur, and Doppio briefly presses his lips to the top of your head. "Thank you for today," you sigh, and Doppio just hums in response. He reaches down and wraps your hand up in his - the feeling is so warm and familiar and you fall even deeper in love. You two spend a long time like that, wrapped up in each other's arms in front of the beautiful field, until you find yourself nodding off to sleep.
-----
Gyro
"Where the hell did you even learn how to ride a horse?"
You roll your eyes at the question your companion Gyro just shouted at you from a few feet away. "You're so prim and proper, I never would've expected you to know how to ride."
"When I was a kid," you call back, and you're grateful when Gyro rides a little closer to you, allowing you to lower your voice. "I lived on a big, rural plot of land and I would just go out and teach myself."
"Huh." Gyro reaches up and adjusts his hat; the wind had displaced it somewhat. "You're pretty good. Not as good as me, of course, but not bad at all."
You scoff, reaching over and slugging Gyro in the arm. He reels back, shocked, and you burst out laughing. "You're quite the critic, asshole," you shoot at him between giggles. He just watches you, and you're surprised to see that he doesn't look all that annoyed. "Well anyways," you say as your laughter fades away, "when do you think we should stop?"
"I don't know. Let's ask Johnny." Gyro twists his body around and absolutely bellows, "JOHNNY!"
A few paces behind, Johnny Joestar throws a little rock at Gyro, who dodges it easily. He seems even more sick of your talkative companion than you are. "How should I know?" he shouts back. "The sun is just about set - let's just camp here."
"Fine!" Gyro calls back, and he quickly hops off of his horse. You follow suit, and after a minute Johnny catches up to you two and does the same. You help Johnny lean against a large, somewhat comfortable rock, and then you get to tying up the horses.
Gyro pulls some kindling out of the bag attached to his horse's saddle, and he starts a fire with only a little difficulty. Once all the horses are tied up and fed, you sink to the ground and yawn. "What, the Steel Ball Race getting to be too much for you?" Gyro teases, and you laugh at his shit-eating grin.
"No, I'm fine. Just kind of tired."
"So am I," Johnny says, nodding. "I think I'm gonna get to sleep early, if you guys don't mind."
"Not at all!" you say. You toss him a blanket, also from Gyro's bag, and he gratefully takes it and wraps himself up.
"Just don't be too loud, Gyro," he mutters before shutting his eyes. Gyro blinks, affronted, and you huff out a laugh. "Goodnight." It doesn't take Johnny long to doze off, snoring softly.
"Well..." Gyro starts, and to your surprise he's actually trying to be courteous to Johnny. He's normally extremely brash, and he doesn't usually care much about the requests of you or Johnny. "Want some coffee?"
"Yeah, that would be great." You watch as Gyro grabs the kettle and grounds, and he carefully fills the kettle with water from his canteen.
Silence fills the area as the coffee slowly brews. You watch Gyro out of the corner of your eye, studying the way he looks as he gazes into the fire. Ever since you teamed up with him in this race, you've gotten to know quite a lot about him. He's much less secretive than Johnny, and you know practically everything about him - where he's from, who he was before he arrived to the US, even his real name.
Suddenly, you're caught staring. Gyro's gaze flits to meet yours, and he grins as you quickly avert your eyes. "I know I'm handsome, (Y/N), I don't blame you," he says, grinning widely as you grimace.
You just sigh, leaning back and looking up at the cloudless night sky. Gyro's expression softens and he watches you. "You seem a little melancholy today," he says gently. "Anything on your mind?"
"Yeah." You turn to him, folding your hands in your lap. "Do you think we'll even be able to get through this? I have no idea what's even going on half the time." It's true; ever since you gained a stand ability from possessing one of the holy corpse parts, you've witnessed some of the weirdest, most inexplicable events you've ever seen.
"Of course we will," Gyro responds. He sounds completely sure of himself. "Not only will we beat the race, but we'll come in first place! Well, I will - you can have second, and Johnny can be third."
You laugh, letting your head fall back. "Thanks, Gyro. I hope Johnny won't mind." Gyro suddenly remembers the coffee, and he carefully pours out two cups.
"Don't burn yourself," he says as he hands you your cup. Your hands brush against his as you take the drink, and for some reason you feel yourself flush. Thankfully, Gyro doesn't seem to notice your quick change in demeanor. "This stuff really is horrible, but at least it's different," he comments, taking a sip. "The coffee back home was far too sweet."
He's right; it's extremely bitter, and you find yourself wincing at the taste. Still, you're grateful for the warmth, so you drink it slowly. "Thank you," you say, and Gyro just nods in response.
"You look nice like this." Your eyes widen and you look up at Gyro, who's studying you with a serious look on his face. "I like seeing you relaxed for once."
You smile a little, nodding. "Thank you. Yeah, it's nice to finally get a break." Gyro watches as you sip your coffee. "Hopefully we won't be bothered by any dinosaurs tonight - shit!"
You tip your cup a little too far and spill scalding coffee on your hand. You grit your teeth and gingerly set the cup down, leaning forward to inspect your hand. It doesn't look too hurt, but it stings like a bitch. "Are you okay?" Gyro says, reaching out and gently taking your hand into his. You nod.
He reaches over into his bag and takes out a little strip of cloth. Carefully, he starts to wrap up the little burn on your hand. One loop brushes against the wound uncomfortably, and you hiss through your teeth at the burning sensation. "Shit!" Gyro says, looking up at you with wide eyes. "Did I hurt you?"
"No," you say quickly, shaking your head. "No, it's fine. It just stings, is all."
It only takes a couple more minutes for Gyro to be done fixing up your hand. Once he's done, he pats the top of your hand and smiles. "You're alright," he says gently.
"Thanks, Gyro," you say, and you really do mean it. You don't think you've ever seen him like this: quiet and sweet. You start to bring your hand back, but Gyro doesn't let go. You look up at him with furrowed brows.
He looks into your eyes for a moment, and all he finds is mild confusion. Then, he leans down and brushes his lips against your knuckles. "You're welcome," he breathes into your hand, and he lets go.
Heat instantly rushes to your face, and you quickly turn away. "Yeah," you mutter, not sure of what else to say, and you fix your eyes on a fascinating cactus a few feet away. You hear Gyro laugh softly, and you flush even more. You'd never even entertained the thought that he could be so suave.
A few minutes go by in this heavy, powerful silence, until Gyro finally speaks. "That should be fine in a couple days," he says, and you turn to him. "It's odd, but I've gotten the same exact burns off of these things." He pats the steel balls that rest in the holsters on his hips. "They can generate quite a lot of heat."
"Oh." Gyro smiles at you and leans back, resting his hands behind his head. "Well, thanks again. I'm not usually that clumsy."
Gyro's eyebrows shoot up at that, and he grins at you. "Oh, really? Then how do you explain the two loaves of bread that you dropped off your horse a couple days ago?" You blink, surprised, and Gyro's grin only grows. "And when you led your horse - and Johnny and I - down a dead-end pathway for a whole hour?" You start to smile, laughing, and Gyro leans towards you with bright eyes. "You're a total klutz, (Y/N)!"
You both dissolve into laughter, completely taken by the moment, and it takes a long time for you to compose yourself. "Oh man," you giggle, wiping a tear from your eye. "You really got me, asshole."
"I know." Once you've both gotten ahold of yourselves, you find yourself looking into Gyro's eyes with the remnants of a smile on your face. You've always known he was handsome, but something about the dim firelight makes him look like a Roman statue - perfectly sculpted, but real and tangible before you. "(Y/N), you're staring again."
You blink, startled, and Gyro laughs at the shock in your expression. "It's fine, I don't mind." He smiles as he reaches out and brushes a bit of sand off of your shoulder. "Gives me the perfect opportunity to appreciate your beauty up close."
You laugh shortly, and Gyro takes your hands in his. "I'm not kidding. You really are lovely." The laughter dies in your throat, and you look up at Gyro with wide eyes. "We should get some sleep, it's getting late," he whispers, his face mere inches away from yours. Before you can reply, he leans in even closer and presses a quick, fleeting kiss to your lips. "Goodnight."
He turns away and tilts his hat down over his face before you can get a word in - though even if you could, you don't know what you'd say. You're left totally starstruck by Gyro, and all you can really do is lean back and shut your eyes. You grin, resting your head on your small backpack, and sleep quickly catches up to you. You have no clue what tomorrow brings - Gyro's just proven himself to be a man of surprises.
(Jotaro, Kakyoin, Josuke, Okuyasu) Valentine’s Day Confessions
Anonymous asked: Happy 2021 and hope you had a great New Year’s! It’s a little early, but could I request HCs for how pt 3 Jotaro, Kakyoin, Josuke and Okuyasu react to getting Valentine’s chocolates from the person they like? If it’s not too much, maybe a little bit about what they would do in return for White Day? I love this cheesy trope. Thanks! ❤️
Thank you, and of course!! I’m such a sucker for literally any cheesy trope haha, so I really appreciate this! Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
-- Jotaro --
Jotaro is no stranger to Valentine's chocolates.
Every single Valentine's day since the age of 12, he's received dozens of presents from countless peers. Most of the time, he doesn't even know their name - he just wordlessly takes the little box out of their hands and throws it rather carelessly into his locker. The spoils of the day usually end up going to his mom; Jotaro isn't a big fan of sweets.
When Valentine's Day rolls around this year, however, there is someone he wouldn't mind receiving a gift from. Over the past few months at school, he's gotten somewhat close with you. When you were seated next to each other in chemistry at the beginning of the year, Jotaro had thought nothing of it - he wasn't at all interested in making friends. However, as the class began, he started to notice little things about you. You were kind, always taking the time to strike up a conversation with him before class, and your laughter was infectious. Despite your happy-go-lucky nature, you could also be more down to earth, which Jotaro really appreciated. It only took a month for Jotaro to realize he was in love.
The hallways are loud today, as admirers rush through the halls during class to deliver their gifts. Jotaro walks to his locker and unlocks it, reaching in and grabbing a pack of cigarettes from the little shelf. Just as he's about to take one, he feels a tug at the hem of his jacket.
"Hm?" He turns around and stares down at the perpetrator. It's a girl, with pretty hair and an anxious smile. After a moment of silent eye contact, the girl shakes herself a bit and shoves a small bag into Jotaro's chest. "H-happy Valentine's Day!" she says hastily. Jotaro just places the bag in his locker and looks back at her, his expression utterly vacant. It only takes a few more seconds for the girl to hurry away, flustered and a little embarrassed.
The bell rings to signify the official end of the school day (Jotaro had skipped his last class just for the hell of it), and suddenly there's even more commotion. Despite how much he would love to get out of this hellhole, Jotaro stays put, folding his arms over his chest. His gaze locks on a locker on the other side of the hallway - it's yours. He figures he should wait for you.
In the time it takes for you to show up, six other people have gifted Jotaro Valentine's Day gifts. None of them received so much as a word of thanks, which Jotaro doesn't really feel bad about. He just wants to see you.
Finally, you get to your locker. "Hey!" he calls, waving you over. You turn around and grin when you realize who it is, and after quickly grabbing your books you walk over to his side of the hall.
"You made out like a bandit," you mutter, peering past Jotaro and at the stack of candies in his locker. "Does that happen every year?"
"Yeah," he replies. "Still don't know why." He puts his hands in his pockets and leans against the wall. "Did you get anything?"
You laugh a little and shrug. "Nah, but I was planning on giving something." Jotaro's eyes widen and he glances at the ground, trying not to let his expression give anything away. It's a long shot, but he really hopes your gift is for him.
"Are you doing anything later?" he asks after he's recovered somewhat. You shake your head, and a rare smile appears on Jotaro's face. "We could hang out, if you want. Maybe share all this stuff." He gestures to the gifts in his locker, and you laugh.
"That would be fun." Your smile softens a bit, and Jotaro watches you closely. "I guess we could share these too!"
Jotaro's smile grows, and you quickly reach into your bag and pull out a little box of sweets. "Here you go!" You present them to him with a big grin on your face. "It's been really great spending this year with you," you say, and Jotaro can feel his heart pounding in his chest. "Would you want to be my Valentine this year?"
Gingerly, Jotaro takes the box from your hands and holds it close. "Yes," he replies almost immediately. "I'd really like that."
"Cool." Jotaro carefully puts all the Valentine's candies in his bag, being extra-sure not to damage yours. Once he's done, you reach out and take his hand in yours. "Do you mind if I hold your hand?" you ask, noting his surprised expression.
He blinks and clears his throat, suddenly horribly flustered. "N-no. I don't mind at all." With a warm smile, you turn and head to the exit, pulling Jotaro along behind you. He really can't believe how lucky he is that you returned his feelings.
Outside, you both stand together in front of the school. "We can go to my house," Jotaro says, nodding his head in the direction of the route home. "But my mom'll be there."
"Sure! And I don't mind," you tell him with a little laugh. "I know you love her a lot, so she must be nice."
"...Yeah. Yeah, she's nice." Feeling happier than he maybe ever has, Jotaro walks with you down to the road. You're his best friend - you have been for a while - and he's so happy that you've become something more as well.
For White Day:
After one month of dating, you're not actually expecting to receive a gift from Jotaro. He's not a very material person; he prefers to show his love in more subtle, sensitive ways, and you appreciate it endlessly. However, on White Day, Jotaro surprises you with a delicate piece of jewelry! It's kind of obvious that he asked his mom for help in selecting it, but that makes it even sweeter.
-- Kakyoin --
Unlike his more popular classmate, Kakyoin really isn't used to getting Valentine's gifts. Since a very young age, Kakyoin has kept himself pretty isolated; he's never been very sociable. This led to him being labeled as rude and even a little intimidating, and he resigned himself to that fate.
However, when Kakyoin re-enrolled in Jotaro's school after returning from Egypt, things were a little different. Spending fifty days with four near-strangers had helped him open up, and after his dance with death in Cairo, he didn't want to waste a single day of his life. So, he approached his senior year with confidence and charisma - at least as much as he could muster - and to his delight, this ended up creating a beautiful friendship.
You've been best friends with Kakyoin since you wound up in the same class. You're both quiet, though you have an easier time socializing with your peers than Kakyoin does, and you both can be quite talkative once you've opened up to someone. It was during school lunch hour that you and Kakyoin really got to know each other, talking at length about anything either of you found interesting, and it was also during this time that Kakyoin developed a bit of a crush.
Now it's Valentine's Day, and Kakyoin refuses to let himself hope that you feel the same. Besides the crusaders, Kakyoin has never felt this close of a connection with someone, and he's terrified of letting an unrequited crush break it apart. He stands by his locker, trying not to look as anxious as he feels, and he watches out of the corner of his eye as students rush out of class to find their significant others. He's struck by a pang of loneliness as he observes two students lovingly exchanging Valentine's candy, and he tries to will the feeling away as he takes his bag out of his locker.
"Hey, Kakyoin!" He nearly jumps out of his skin when he shuts his locker and finds you smiling sweetly at him. "Shit, did I scare you?" you ask, your smile dropping.
"Yeah," he replies, laughing a little awkwardly. "Don't worry about it." He gets the last of his stuff together and throws his bag over his shoulder. "So how was math today?"
You give him something between a smile and a grimace. "Oh, you know - hell." You both laugh. "The test's next week, so at least I'll have time to study."
"We could study together!" Kakyoin suggests, then all in a rush he feels heat flood to his face. You blink, looking similarly flustered. After quickly shaking himself, he stammers out, "If-if you want to! If it's not weird or anything."
You clear your throat, hastily shaking your head. "Not weird at all! No, I'd love to." Phew. Kakyoin lets out a small exhale and nods. "But hey - can I talk to you for a minute? Over where we have lunch?"
Kakyoin frowns. He starts to ask if something's wrong, but he stops himself. "Oh - alright." Together, you and Kakyoin head over to the back of the school, underneath a large tree. This had been where the two of you met.
There's a solemn feeling to the air as you lean against the wall of the school, taking a quick breath. Kakyoin watches you nervously; he's actually managed to forget what day it is in his worry for you. "Is something the matter?" he asks gently, and you look up into his violet eyes. "If there's anything I can do, please let me know."
You grin, surprising Kakyoin, and suddenly you reach out and wrap your arms around him. "No, nothing's wrong," you murmur, and Kakyoin can hear the smile in your voice. If nothing's wrong, then what...? "I have something for you."
Kakyoin hesitantly lets you go, and you quickly reach into your bag. He almost forgets how to breathe when you pull out a little pink box with a red heart sticker on top. "I was kinda scared to do this, because I don't really know if you feel the same way that I do, but I figured I should try. Would you be my valentine?" With the most adorable grin, you reach out and offer him the box of sweets.
For a few moments, he can't figure out how to cohesively form words. As his mind searches desperately for a response, he carefully takes the box from you. "Yes," he finally forces out. "Yes, I would love that more than anything, (Y/N)."
You laugh out loud and stand up on your tip toes, pressing a kiss to Kakyoin's cheek; you laugh even harder when his face turns the same shade as his hair. "I'm so glad," you say softly. "I was really hoping you felt the same."
"Of course I do," he responds quickly. "You're wonderful." And he leans down and kisses you, and the motion is the most natural thing in the world.
For White Day:
Kakyoin's main goal for White Day is to show you just how much you mean to him, and how much he appreciates your love. He'd get you something that's connected to an interest of yours, whether it be a book from a series you enjoy, a new video game, or a clothing piece from a line you love. He wants the gift to be as personal as possible, and the greatest gift for him would be seeing the way your eyes light up as he gives it to you.
-- Josuke --
Valentine's Day is always the most hectic day of the year for Josuke. In fact, right now he's running full-speed out of his high school to try and avoid the horde of students who intend to shower him in Valentine's Day gifts.
He appreciates it, he really does, but after so many years of countless peers fawning over him, he's starting to get a little sick of it all. He doesn't really understand why they all like him so much; other than his sick pompadour, he's pretty sure he's just like any other guy.
He bursts through the front door and keeps going, racing past the train tracks and finally stopping in front of the cafe down the street from his house. He quickly grabs a table and throws himself into a chair, trying desperately to catch his breath. If he lays low here for a while, hopefully he'll be in the clear -
"What's up, Josuke?"
He whips his head around when he hears his name, but instantly he relaxes when he sees it's just you, his buddy who moved to Morioh only a few months ago. You're a good friend of Josuke's; ever since you were shot with the stand arrow and gained a new ability, you've been spending a lot of time with the other stand users in town - mainly Josuke. You're a really easygoing and lighthearted person, but at the same time you're smart and witty, and Josuke loves spending time with you.
"Seriously, what's going on? You look like you just ran a marathon."
Josuke laughs breathlessly and nods. "I did. I was trying to avoid the Valentine's crowd."
"The crowd...?" you ask, raising your eyebrows. Josuke gestures for you to pull out a chair and take a seat. As you sit, he rests his chin in his hand.
"Yeah. Every year I get totally swamped with Valentine's Day gifts. It's sweet, and I appreciate it, but it can be seriously overwhelming."
Josuke notes a change in your expression, but he can't quite place it; is it embarrassment? Either way, it's gone in a second, and you laugh a little. "Didn't know you were such a charmer," you tease, poking him in the arm, and he swats your hand away with a grin. "Seriously, though, that must be tough. Does rejection ever discourage them?"
"Not really, honestly. I guess I can admire their perseverance." Suddenly, a waiter arrives and asks the two of you if you'd like a drink. "Yeah," Josuke says quickly. "I'll have an iced tea. How about you, (Y/N)?"
You blink, looking a little stunned, and after a moment you order your drink of choice. As the waiter leaves, Josuke looks at you with a frown on his face. "You alright? You seem a little out of it."
You wave your hand through the air, smiling. "Nah, I'm good." After a little more chatting, the drinks arrive and you both enjoy your beverages.
After a few more minutes, you hesitantly say Josuke's name. "What's up?" he asks, raising his eyebrows.
"Ah..." You grin nervously, looking to the side. "I get that Valentine's Day is a sore subject for you, but - isn't this a bit of a Valentine's date?"
Instantly Josuke turns bright red. "Oh my God!" he breathes, totally mortified. "Are you - are you uncomfortable with that? If you are it's really no problem, I just wasn't thinking and - "
"No!" You reach out and grab Josuke's arm, looking at him with wide eyes. "No, I'm not uncomfortable at all. Are you?" He feels his heart skip a little at the sincerity in your eyes, and he shakes his head. "Okay." You let go of Josuke and reach down into your schoolbag, pulling out a small letter. "I really should thank you for dropping the perfect opportunity right in my lap." With a small smile, you set the letter down on the table. "Josuke, would you wanna be my valentine?"
There's something so genuine in your voice that makes Josuke nearly swoon. He can't believe he's never realized how sweet you really are. "Yeah," he says quickly, a grin growing on his face. "Yeah, that would be amazing."
"Really?" You laugh and lean across the table, giving Josuke a huge hug. His heart nearly skips a beat when he realizes you're purposely being careful with his precious hairstyle. "Oh my God, I'm so happy." You let go and lean back. "You scared the shit out of me with all that Valentine's Day talk."
Josuke laughs. "My bad. I'm glad I didn't scare you off." The two of you continue on your impromptu date, and Josuke tucks your letter into his pocket. He's excited to read it, and he's ecstatic to be your Valentine.
For White Day:
Josuke would want White Day to be a full-day experience; he'd take you anywhere, from the mall to the beach and even hours away to a theme park. He'd even skip class if need be! Being with you is so much fun, and he'd want his gift to reflect that. A day full of adventure would be the perfect encapsulation of your relationship.
-- Okuyasu --
Okuyasu has never been too serious about Valentine's Day. For a good portion of his life, he really didn't even have any close friends besides his brother, so romance was never even remotely in the picture for him. However, once he meets Josuke and the rest of his stand-user classmates, he starts to feel a little romantically inclined towards you, his closest friend in your already tight-knit group.
You're a complete goofball. Your favorite hobby is making people laugh, and you succeed wholeheartedly in that task whenever you're around Okuyasu. He finds you hilarious, and he finds it extremely sweet that you love making him smile so much. He likes to think that he does the same for you; you seem to like spending time with him, seeing that you do so pretty often.
When Valentine's Day rolls around, Okuyasu is completely prepared to confess. He's scared shitless, but he's so passionate about his feelings for you that he's willing to ignore any anxieties and make his feelings known. All day he suffers through his classes, playing the scene over and over in his head. It has three outcomes: either you accept and return his love, you reject his proposal but agree to be friends, or you flat out refuse him and cut all contact. He can't describe how terrified he is of the last potential result, but he forces himself to be courageous and persevere.
Finally, his last class ends, and he hurries to your locker. There you are, going through your books, and Okuyasu's breath catches in his throat at how lovely you look today. It might just be the adrenaline, but he's sure you look more beautiful than you ever have.
Nervously he approaches you, and you spot him before he can greet you himself. "Hey, Okuyasu!" you call, waving with a bright smile. "How's it going?"
"Alright!" he replies, his voice far too loud. "Just the same old, ya know?"
"Same here. I was just waiting to get out of class." You finish with your books and shut your locker, and you turn to him. "So what's up? Do you have any plans later?"
"No," he responds hastily. "Free schedule today. But, uh - " he takes a deep breath " - I did have something I wanted to talk to you about." Your eyes widen, and you smile a little.
"So did I! Yeah, there was something I needed to tell you too." You voice wavers a bit, and Okuyasu feels his heart pound even harder in his chest; are you onto him? Are you trying to shut down his feelings before he can mess up and reveal them? "Do you wanna talk outside? It's a little loud in here."
"Sure! Sounds good!" With a horribly forced laugh, Okuyasu follows you outside and into the school courtyard.
You take a seat on a little bench and Okuyasu plops down next to you. "So... I guess I should just tell you, then," you mumble, your voice totally uncharacteristic.
Sweating, Okuyasu vigorously nods his head. "Sure - well, maybe you'd like me to go first?" he offers; you sound oddly nervous.
You say something in reply, but Okuyasu's so stuck in his own head that he honestly doesn't hear it. He figures that it's now or never - Valentine's Day is dwindling to an end - so he reaches over and pulls his love letter to you out of his bag. After sucking in a deep breath, he turns and presents the envelope to you. "For you!" he announces, eyes squeezed shut, and he hears nothing in response until you start to laugh.
He opens one eye, and he nearly bursts into tears when he sees that you're holding a Valentine's Day gift of your own out to him. He feels laughter bubble up in his chest, and he bursts into laughter, setting the envelope on your lap and leaning back to let out a full belly laugh.
"We - we really both - " you wheeze, clutching your sides as you look up at Okuyasu with grinning, teary eyes. "Holy shit, dude! I can't believe it - " You're taken by another peal of laughter, and the two of you laugh and laugh for what feels like hours.
Finally, the hilarious moment winds down to a close, and you wipe the tears from your eyes. "Oh my God, Okuyasu. I'm so happy." You reach out and take his hands, and he nearly jumps at the contact. "I was praying you felt the same, I really was."
"So was I," he responds, grinning. "I love you, (Y/N), and I'd love to be your Valentine."
You gently raise his hand to your mouth and press a soft kiss to his knuckles. "Of course," you breathe, and Okuyasu is utterly smitten.
For White Day:
To Okuyasu, the greatest gift is something that is made with love. Therefore, he decides that the perfect White Day gift is a homecooked meal! He's been taking cooking lessons with Tonio for a good while, so he's fully equipped with the skills to make you a wonderful meal. He might slip up now and again in the preparation, but that's what makes a dinner cooked from the heart so special.
