my autumn warmth (fluff)

premise : the reader and thoma are cuddling together right outside of the komore teahouse, sitting together with some tea on a table.

content disclaimer : thoma x reader, (slight) praising, the reader has no definite gender, tall reader, comfort/fluff, a small drabble

slender fingers traced along the snowy, pale skin of the blond haired male, the ticklish touch causing a light chuckle to slip past his lips. in his lover's arms, thoma could only gaze into their [e/c] eyes, filled with nothing more than sincere admiration. to think, that even a simple housekeeper could find someone who carried the warmth and tenderness of spring, whispers coaxing the male into the loving embrace of the other, keeping him under some kind of enchantment. an enchantment that casted over the change of seasons, sparking once the cherry blossoms had just opened up. he could remember [y/n]'s confession so clearly...

" my love.. " the taller whispered into his ear, breathing out in a soft voice, their thumb brushing against his cheek, and soon trailing down to his shoulder, their eyes taking in thoma's beauty adoringly. their other hand laid rest on his face, the blond instinctively pressing into it as he closed his green eyes, taking soft breathes. for the longest time, he never shut his eyes during these loving moments. for fear that if he did, he'd wake up alone, empty. no warmth to carry him through the steady cold of autumn, making way for the freezing snow of winter. but those feelings, those insecurities have long passed on, allowing him to fully immerse himself in his partner's comfort.

soft lips were pressed on his forehead, causing a sheepish simper to stretch on his lips, leaning more into the touch of the taller male. he felt so happy, so cherished.. so safe. he no longer had to worry while he was with them, his autumn warmth. " you seem quite happy to see me.." the soft voice that lulled him into his comfort only pulled him in deeper, his own lips slightly separating as though he wanted to say something, but alas, he couldn't think of what to say. his emerald green eyes soon opened up, looking to his sweetheart as a light pink tint dusted onto his cheeks, as the other continued to gently rub his face, as though praising him for only being there. even if it was a moment of silence, a moment to just indulge in each other with no cares, he was having full conversations with just the way that he made eye contact with them.

and so, a meek, yet happy chuckle slipped out from his soft lips, eyes closing once more as he sighed, nuzzling into his lover's hand. " i'm just enjoying the moment.." he admitted with a soft hum, his arms lazily snaking around the other's waist, pulling them close. his body pressed against theirs, as he just stayed in that position, eyes opening slightly just to look up at them. to be held was already a gift to him, but to be loved? to be adored? even if he's fantasized about it.. he never expected it to feel so good. his heart quickened in pace and he blushed harder, the thought of the other taking care of him so sweetly lingering with no intention of leaving his mind. and it was clear that his partner could sense it.

" you're so sweet, thoma.. " [y/n] immediately breathed out to him, causing his gaze to quickly shift away from them, looking over to a wall or perhaps the ground. he couldn't tell, his vision was seemingly blurred with hearts in his eyes, stomach growing fuzzy as he became fully conscious of the moment. he didn't even pay attention to what they said, but he didn't need to. he already blushed just from knowing that it was some kind of compliment. even if he had gone through it so many times, it always felt like his heart was burning with love, too shy to even continue with the moment, especially with his partner being taller than he was. it wasn't intimidating, per say, as he always saw the other as some kind of large teddy bear, but it did fluster him to know just how easy they could pick him up and carry him around.

" i love you.. " he finally breathed out, the words so foreign to his tongue, and yet.. his heart leaped with joy once [y/n] was clearly listening to him speak, even if he almost fumbled over his words out of embarrassment. he couldn't help it.. especially when he deemed the other to be so perfect. even if they rejected the notion, he knew that they were perfect, at least to him. and it always made him happy to know that they felt the same about him, even without having to explicitly say it.

" i love you too, thoma.. " they finally spoke, keeping him close to them, gently cradling him in their arms. he was theirs, and they were his. they pressed another tender kiss to his forehead with a hum, a small smile sneaking onto their lips.

" my autumn warmth . "
