God's Abomination: Kamacuras

Here's Kamacuras!

Just like with Kumonga, these little dudes have a special place in my heart. Bugs as giant monsters is a cool idea!

I wanted to lean into the idea that they were an off-shoot or evolution of the MUTO, while also coloring them to look like Orchid Mantis!

Lore:

After their arachnid queen was dispatched by Godzilla, the Kamacuras retreated into the great hive below the Earth's surface.

While they chittered and scurried, searching for another potential exit point, they were issued an alpha challenge by none other than Pharaoh.

Though he'd lost his queen, Cleopatra, he was still a powerful monster in his own right. The other MUTO bowed to him, and soon, so too did the Kamaucuras. With his supreme council of insectoid monstrosities, Pharaoh would stew in his machinations of surface domination, divulging a plan to attack when he had even greater numbers than before.

The Kamacuras were slightly larger than the MUTO, even the females were not quite as big as them.

had developed a more concentrated version of the EMP blast that the MUTO had access to, channeling it through their limbs and turning their slashes into electrical torrents that could incapacitate weaker monsters.

Every single one of the Kamacuras were capable of limited flight and often used it to gain an advantage on the monsters that couldn't fly.

They also had the ability to latch onto larger targets and vibrate their wings fast enough to create a super nova effect against their enemy, cooking them alive.

What they had in power, they lacked in intelligence, they seemed to be a species that sought leadership and bowed to one that was perceived as stronger than them.

But we all know who the strongest truly was... God's Abomination.

Figured I'd open the floor to anyone that's curious about the lore so far, or anything else I've alluded to and/or not mentioned. He sketched it, and often. He kept begging them to check on his family. He insisted that, "He's REal! I swear to GoD he's real!"

Here's the MUTO!

I have always had a soft spot for these creatures since 2014, in all honesty, I kinda wish we'd gotten to see a more colorful variant of them, something with a little more presence and pizzazz!

The scene of the male MUTO getting absolutely demolished by Goji's tail against the building lives rent-free in my head.

Lore:

After Battra emerged from the great hive, more gigantic invertebrates stirred from their ancient slumber, no more calming light from Mothra to keep their many eyes closed.

The most violent and terrifying of these, were the MUTO (Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Object). A parasitic insect of colossal proportions, striding on spear-like limbs and possessing the uncanny ability to short circuit and destroy electronics. Entire city power grids were shorted within minutes of their arrival. The electro magnetic pulse they emitted was devastating to say the least.

The military designated the male MUTO that was capable of flight, "Pharaoh." He was capable of hitting speeds unheard of or inconceivable for a creature of his size. Even Mothra and Rodan had been clocked at only hitting mach 2-3. Pharaoh was able to hit Mach 5.

His blue shell and yellow markings were brilliant in the sun as he would streak past, before a wave of destruction would follow behind him in his backdraft. They surmised he was a prehistoric descendant of mosquitoes.

The other MUTO, designated, "Cleopatra." was by far one of the absolute largest that the military had ever seen. Over 120 meters tall on her stilt-like forearms, an abdomen with a stinger full of venom trailed behind her.

She was thought to be a prehistoric mutation of the parasitoid wasps that had been catalogued.

The new monstrosities wreaked havoc, finding and devouring all nuclear sources that they were able to. One such extraction caused a nuclear blast to go off in Germany, but Pharaoh was able to absorb the blast. The shockwave was enough to demolish buildings and homes, but there was no radiation or fallout after the blast.

While this was occurring, Godzilla, Mothra and Anguirus were trying to find and defeat Cleopatra. In their fight with her, a new beast was revealed to the world.

A mutated tegu that the military designated as "Andarta," had been nesting near a populated city, unseen for months at this point. She had recently had her babies hatch, but was unable to confidently step away from the nest to assist in the fight.

Godzilla wasn't used to being bombarded by EMP blasts in such quick succession, his atomic breath was suppressed the duration of the fight. Cleopatra commanded Pharaoh to lead Godzilla away so that she could take a shot at the nest. In this time, other smaller MUTO had joined the fray, their sheer numbers proving to be an issue for Mothra and Anguirus.

Andarta, realizing she was being lured away, ignited her own atomic breath and bathed Cleopatra in a heavy flame that nearly burst the eyes in her head. Through brute force, the female MUTO shoved her way through the indestructible wall that was Andarta, to snatch up and eat a mouthful of her young.

Upon seeing the insect devouring her children, she let loose a bellow that shook the earth, an anguished cry that almost matched Godzilla's own voice.

In a fit of rage, Godzilla returned and assisted Andarta in attacking and tearing Cleopatra apart.

Without waiting to see if she survived, Pharaoh took off, his own brood of MUTO children flying with him or following after on the ground.

Godzilla and Andarta stood over the corpse of Cleopatra, triumphant, but solemn. The mutated tegu peered over the remnants of her nest, a pained breath leaving her as her amber eyes searched desperately for any signs of life.

With a grumble of defiance, Godzilla leaned down and nudged aside a fragment of Cleopatra's armor, finding one of Andarta's young still alive.

She checked him over to make sure he was okay before lifting her head high and letting out a bellow at the sky.

Godzilla joined her, their combined roar shaking the sky.

There were others like him. Other's like... God's Abomination.

Kaiju Riders: P.1-2

Long ago the planet's surface water almost all disappeared from a battle of DaiKaiju, monsters of unbelievable size and power. Sending humanity into the new age they live in. kaiju have become part of everyday life, many of them with their own weird powers, and almost all react to and consume different minerals. People have taken to exploring wherever they can to find water, minerals, and safety.

Sorry for the late post but I wanted an impact, and got some news that made it hard to finish, but we got there! The prologue for Kaiju Riders is over, and the main story will start. This takes place 14 years before the main story, and will follow some new characters, and is the real story i wanted to tell. I did this as a way to get used to world I've been working on crafting for the better part of 2 or 3 years.

Please check back in when I start the new story!

Don't do a lot of written posts, but should say sorry for the delay on Kaiju Riders. I got some bad news, and I also wanted to wrap up Egg Heist and get ready for the NEXT step in the comic.

The final pages of Egg Heist will be out tomorrow!
