classical music flows through your ears, and quiet chatters filled the room. you took a sip of your drink, savoring every drop of it. the flavor spreads all across your mouth and to your throat as the sweet and clean after-taste tickles your tastebuds.

you're here once again not for the drinks; instead, you're here for him, the bartender. that attire of his firmly wraps around his body, every detail clearly visible if you look close enough. you admire him preparing every drink ordered; from the way he pours every ingredient into the glass to the way he decorates it, every movement of his feeding your loving eyes.

but he's quite popular, you'd admit. there's no way a woman would dislike him, especially on how he looks. how his hair naturally curls so beautifully, his fair skin, that fine smile he wears on his face.. it's all so attractive. he's always surrounded by those 'loud' females, so all you could do is sit somewhere nearby and admire him.

you've always wanted to get his number or just have a chat with him, but he seems too busy to accompany you at all. but that's okay, you always believe that the time will eventually come and you'll finally get to have a conversation with him.

you placed your beverage down, quickly rummage through your purse for your ringing phone that popped your daydream bubble. you stared at the screen, freezing at the familiar number; too familiar.

it was your ex that called. they cheated on you. it has been half a year since you both broke up, so why are they calling? you clicked on the green button hesitantly, gently pressing your phone onto your ear.

"w-woah, y/n! you picked up!" they sounded rather excited. you sigh, back leaning further onto the table as you crossed your legs.

"speak up. why did you call?"

"haha, you're still the same as ever. okay s-so uhm, I was just wondering if-"

"no." you knew what they wanted to say. it's so obvious. "not interested." you added.

"wow, rude enough? you could've said it more politely" your ex said, clicking their tongue. your blood starts to boil, who do they think they are? your parents? or someone you should respect no matter what?

"the fuck do you mean, cheater? do you really expect me to be nice to you after what you've done? that's really funny" you said sarcastically. they start getting all furious and shout through the phone. it was so loud to the point where you could feel spit getting all over your face.

"need help?" a smooth and calming voice spoke up behind you. you quickly turned around, eyes meeting a pair of ocean blue eyes. it was chuuya, the bartender you've been admiring for weeks. he was pointing towards your phone, his usual smile hanging on that gorgeous face of his. you gently nod your head, placing your phone on his hand.

"look, i don't know what's up with you right now, but you just sound like some desperate loser. so would you mind leaving y/n alone now? thanks." with that, chuuya hung up the call and passed the phone to you.

"hey, how did you know my name? i never told you" you questioned, stuffing your phone back into your purse as you watch the male chuckle.

"well, i've noticed you coming here quite often lately. and not to mention, you seem to have taken an interest in me, yeah?" his eyes were fixed on the glass he was cleaning. you're lucky that he wasn't able to see your reddened face. "so, I asked one of my co-workers for your name. remember dazai?"

"oh.. him. he's one flirty one, huh. but yeah, you're not wrong.. I've been hoping to talk to you, but you know, you're quite popular" chuuya laughs at your statement. he places the glass he was cleaning, body leaning in until his face is just a few inches away from yours.

"well, now that i'm free, let's talk to your heart's content? here's my number as well just in case"
