Episode 2 of Gossip Girl and my mindless rants about it. I do love our narrator. She’s fun and in a way satirically portrays the melodramatic “issues” of the upper class.

- Dan checking on his baby sister awww.

- I hope she does learn from the experience but also I hope it doesn’t destroy her ability to trust like that does to most people.

- Dan is so damn awkward and Serena is just here for the ride. It’s adorable.

- AW ERIC AND SERENA TALKING ABOUT IT. I’m loving the sibling bonding moments talking about the date. This whole sequence is so fun I’m enjoying it.

- Jen encouraging her brother omg my heart. They’re the best

- I will NEVER get enough of Eric. He’s the best.

- I still feel nothing for Nate. And Blair is annoying. She’s everything wrong with women in the world like why the hell does she insist on talking shit and holding a grudge over something that happened PRE RELATIONSHIP. Pre relationship and Serena isn’t interested in him. She’s just what makes being a girl miserable. She excludes people, she’s rude, vengeful, and just all around not a critical thinker tbh.

Okay so I picked up Gossip Girl because I was bored and packing. I figured why not log my opinions (because I’m still kind of bored)

- Serena coming back and expecting everything to be the same is kinda like…idk fair but also not fair? I can’t remember how long she was gone for but Yknow

- Serena’s relationship with her brother (Eric!!) is the best. It’s so sad their mom is hiding him because of his attempt. That’s fucked.

- Blair gives me the cattiest, rudest, most annoying bitchy vibes ever. She is the problem I swear.

- Nate and his buddy (Chuck) that I don’t know the name of are side characters. They look like side characters, they feel like side characters.

- I’m going to forget a lot of names…

- Jen is cute. I like Jen. She feels real. I kinda sorta really want her and Serena to be friends.

Y’all have SO MUCH and here you are whining about “oh the limo is full of too much dramaaa” meanwhile y’all would probably run over a homeless persons tent on the way to the party. This rant is going to be frequent and constant. Like yeah it sucks to have no agency in your lives but it’s not the worst problem in the world and this show makes it so melodramatic. I’m sure society recognizes this (or I at least hope it does) but that’s my biggest ick. Oh and Chuck.

I loved the Witcher on Netflix. I’m rewatching the whole thing. I’m reading the books because of it. I watched blood origins because of it. I crave this content and all its imperfections and perfections. Geralt’s personality is phenomenal. Ciri’s growth is fluid. Yennefer’s power is unmatched. All the other characters are thought out and interesting with their own flaws. I love the show. I firmly believe it deserves more credit than it’s given.
